Nature's Healing Power

[00:00:01] Hello and welcome to Connecting with your Natural Self, the podcast that will help you

[00:00:29] master the mindset of an ancient Vedic scholar. I am Udhaya Ravishankar, your host and guide

[00:00:35] on the journey. I am a developer in artificial intelligence with 12 years of experience

[00:00:41] in publishing conference and journal articles in that area and which is heavily entrained

[00:00:46] in mathematics. On the other side, I have personally gone through a Vedic transformation

[00:00:52] myself and become poked by the way religions and cultures of today are operating. In each

[00:00:59] episode of Connecting with your Natural Self, I will share with you my Vedic insights and

[00:01:05] strategies that have helped me in my journey back to the earth which I achieved by

[00:01:10] understanding what commonly binds us together. As a scholar, I also expect you to be able

[00:01:17] to pass on the same to your students or in fact inspire them. You will learn how to

[00:01:22] overcome some spiritually mental challenges, get answers to some of the most deep, most

[00:01:28] burning questions and reach your goals in developing the real Vedic mindset. You

[00:01:35] will also get tips and tricks that you can use right away to improve your skills and knowledge.

[00:01:40] Today I will be talking about Nature's Healing Power. You know, since I am talking about

[00:01:51] connecting with your natural self, bringing the power of nature itself seems to be the

[00:01:56] only next logical thing to talk about. So what kind of healing power does nature

[00:02:03] really have? Well, if you join my startup program in Vedic Math philosophy, you will

[00:02:10] be taken on a tour of the Bhumi Sukta from the Atabha Veda and in that you will learn that

[00:02:15] the earth we live in is more than just a piece of rock rotating about its axis and revolving

[00:02:22] around the sun. In fact, it's much deeper meaning once around the concept of being

[00:02:27] the reachable and indestructible optimum in about practically everything that everyone

[00:02:32] wants to avail for themselves. And to add further to this, the physics of the

[00:02:38] universe we experience on a regular basis to by its nature functions, by this indestructible

[00:02:45] optimum the Vedas call the earth. And down the line in my program if you, you'll see why

[00:02:53] there's also potential Vedic Math. But in a broader sense, the earth and its nature

[00:02:58] was always bound to make all living creatures like us thrive in it. And that would mean

[00:03:03] everything we would need to live happily would come from it, including any mental

[00:03:09] serenity or other healing artifacts that we would require. The earth is our mother,

[00:03:16] and that's what you wanted to resonate with. As it turns out, your brain, which

[00:03:21] science likes to call it as a bunch of chemical reactions actually does find immense

[00:03:27] solace when it comes, when it's immersed in viewing and hearing the beauties of the nature

[00:03:33] of the earth. You know the green, blustrous forest, the mountains, the rivers, the animal sounds,

[00:03:41] etc. All of that make your brain emit chemicals that tranquilize the rest of your body,

[00:03:48] which I say is something that can only come by intentional design.

[00:03:52] Because no matter what kind of troubles we actually face in our personal lives,

[00:03:56] you know by the same things on earth, our brain never seems to reinforce the earth to be anything

[00:04:01] negative ever. In fact it would do it the other way around. It would think about

[00:04:08] retreating to earth's nature as a means to heal from those troubles we are facing.

[00:04:13] It's pretty much like an indestructible fact our brains have.

[00:04:19] You know like the optimum earth inside our brains that heals us by actually experiencing

[00:04:26] earth itself. That's right I mean there is the child in you that always says it's only the best.

[00:04:34] I mean even as a homo sapient species on earth that has had the ability of making its own

[00:04:41] jungle, you know by material called concrete and spends time hanging around on all the contraptions

[00:04:50] you know like a monkey. It's built you know with other homo sapiens whether they are of you

[00:04:58] know to be not to be too politically incorrect but you know I'm going to turn them as the

[00:05:03] Blancas, the Brunus, the Negris and even the Junus variants. By the way right now I'm a

[00:05:09] Brunus variant talking about some wisdom on a podcast right now as a species.

[00:05:15] But then like what would you as a homo sapient vote for when you have to make a choice between the

[00:05:21] earth and this concrete jungle be made as a better one? Won't you definitely put your

[00:05:27] hand up for the earth right? And by the way if by any chance you had voted for the concrete

[00:05:35] jungle then I'll definitely say something is wrong with you. You would actually have to come back

[00:05:42] to nature to heal those insecurities in your mind that actually made you make that choice. Anyways

[00:05:50] so this indestructible earth is inside all our brains and the best way to harness it is by

[00:05:56] making our minds enter the alpha state. For those of you who don't know what that is or

[00:06:03] never even heard of it anytime down your life this state of mind is usually visited when we are

[00:06:10] talking of when we are taking a nap or having a good night's sleep. It is the tranquil state of

[00:06:17] mind that helps you rejuvenate your energy, creativity and memory almost practically

[00:06:23] everything that defines your inner child. You know talking about sleeping like a baby

[00:06:28] that's pretty much what it is. So science recommends that in order to reach the state of

[00:06:36] mind during the day without being on a nap or sleeping of any other sort is by actually

[00:06:43] immersing yourself in a meditative environment that is surrounded by nature and taking in all

[00:06:49] the sensory signals and that will include you know all the visual, visual, auditory and even

[00:06:55] tastes. So let me tell you a story in this. Okay so when I was in the US I actually had the opportunity

[00:07:04] to engage in many such activities you know connecting with nature and all that because you

[00:07:09] know when you hang around with a lot of white Americans there you actually tend to do a lot

[00:07:15] of hiking, skiing and camping trips which is fun. I also found it fun and even thanks to them

[00:07:25] I got even introduced to the India Pale Ale brand of beer also known as IPA in short

[00:07:33] which I actually like you know it's real bitterness and strong earthy flavor really

[00:07:41] resonated with the kinds of drinks I liked. Now that doesn't mean that I'm suggesting

[00:07:48] that doesn't that means I'm not saying I'm not suggesting that you drink an IPA too

[00:07:53] to get the same sensory taste of nature I got you know while I was you know connecting with

[00:08:00] nature but you could in fact try actually suggest that you try more healthier options like

[00:08:07] herbal juices and smoothies. The only difference however is that with the beer you get buzzed easily

[00:08:16] and reach the alpha state of mind one healthy lead two and then after that it's like the world

[00:08:22] then falls at your mercy and whatever words come over your mouth are the ones that only equally

[00:08:30] buzzed guys and girls would only be a drink by. This doesn't happen when you drink herbal,

[00:08:37] drinks or smoothies which I think is good and so you will reach a very healthy alpha state of mind

[00:08:45] instead and once you're in that state you'll have begun connecting with your true natural self

[00:08:52] you'll begin getting a new sense of spirit and rejuvenation

[00:08:57] packed by realizing who you really are and what your purpose is on earth and all that stuff

[00:09:02] and you'll even get better creative and innovative solutions to things that you're dealing

[00:09:07] with life on a regular basis and some of them could actually work out for you. Fractally speaking

[00:09:15] the world's greatest innovators like Steve Jobs and artist too you name it have used this power

[00:09:25] of connecting with nature and going into this alpha state to create the best products or even

[00:09:31] come up with the best products and even compose the best music or art. The only problem though in the

[00:09:37] art space is that many have used things like weed and other of its variants to get into this alpha

[00:09:44] state that they needed to you know compose the best songs and all these things and that in

[00:09:52] turn made their lives quite short unfortunately. Personally I've also experienced this myself

[00:10:00] you know as an artist an IPA would say bring me to an alpha state easily after you know

[00:10:07] completing halfway down the mug and then when I buzzed and gone pretty deep inside my brain

[00:10:16] and start thinking about the most creative badass metal scores that I could possibly

[00:10:22] you know think of all of its test starts springing out out of nowhere and I would feel

[00:10:31] a total bliss just listening to it with my brain's imaginary ear but then later on if I had to recollect

[00:10:40] that reproduce on my electric guitar they would sometimes vanish from my brain not all of this

[00:10:48] though but it happens sometimes anyways even with Vedic learning connecting with nature and

[00:10:57] being in this alpha state helped me understand quite a lot of its material and that is why I

[00:11:04] recommend to you know the one who I was listening to this podcast right now and who

[00:11:09] will also become a potential Vedic mathematician making a good income teaching kids Vedic math

[00:11:15] through my program I recommend that you to engage in connecting with nature because that

[00:11:22] will help you grasp the Vedic material that I'll bring to you which we use for math

[00:11:28] you know going on a camping trip like really out there in the wilderness

[00:11:34] there are a lot of places in India and elsewhere in the world you can engage in

[00:11:38] such you know nature connecting activities you'll even be able to get all the gear you need and food

[00:11:45] packs you can cook out there in the wild veg or non-veg there are some outlets in which you can

[00:11:52] buy those but I'd prefer you go vegetarian I recommend you do this because no matter what

[00:11:59] religion or culture you come from connecting with the earth and its nature

[00:12:04] is what lies common to all of us and by doing this you it'll actually help you see and live

[00:12:11] in that commonality and that's what I expect from you because you know religions in the world today

[00:12:17] are practically engaging themselves in what I call a crow fight practically flying up in the sky

[00:12:23] and blanketing the earth into darkness you will see crows falling dead from the sky

[00:12:30] out to the ground with clawed feet pointing up you know poetically or you know hypothetically

[00:12:40] and even that kind of fantasy too isn't quite right either so by connecting with nature

[00:12:47] you can actually walk away from this which I highly recommend all a camping trip

[00:12:56] engage in intellectual and spiritual conversations you know consider talking about things like

[00:13:02] you know things you've never thought about ever before you know for example why not talk about

[00:13:07] things like is God a dude yeah that's what I'm saying like the dude du de that word you know

[00:13:16] a dude where you can say you know you're what's up and even you know engage in a fist bump

[00:13:22] together go ahead and talk about what that would be like you know oh that would actually like

[00:13:29] look like in the end you'll actually realize that you know there's probably a subtle thing

[00:13:36] that's missing in all temples churches mosques we name it that is this fist that's missing that

[00:13:44] over there you know that thing that makes you say you know what's up and give that fist bump

[00:13:51] you know in your prayer room right now go go to you know all the card pictures you have

[00:13:56] you know try this and say look at them instead of you know worship worshiping them just say you know

[00:14:02] just what's up and then fist bump all of them and then see how that how that would feel

[00:14:12] how that actually feels you'll actually bring the childhoods you know god the god who

[00:14:19] is your worshiping is no less or no higher than you that's practically what it is and in fact you

[00:14:33] know this could be the one thing that could help solve all the problems with religion that we face

[00:14:37] today and being in this alpha state will actually help you walk through this idea which I just

[00:14:43] talked to you about because some of you may find this offensive but being in the alpha state

[00:14:48] will actually make you think in such a way you know camping is not the only way you can connect

[00:14:55] with nature there are in fact many other ways that you could do that you know it could be things like

[00:15:01] you know having a good time at the beach or anywhere or a resort trying horticulture you know

[00:15:07] which is the art of gardening and then you have creative thinking you know always engage in

[00:15:12] creative stuff bring the inner child in you and do this and it can be any it could practically be

[00:15:18] any of the arts that have nature involved with it you can also connect with other animals

[00:15:28] that's also another way of you know connecting with nature you know instead of having them for lunch

[00:15:33] or dinner you could actually try conversing with them not only you know for with dogs and

[00:15:42] cats that's common out there but you're gonna try with a cow you know a deer an elephant or

[00:15:47] even a lion for crying out loud you can even try all those things you know animals can actually sense

[00:15:53] what you're communicating with them your facial expressions actually give them out and they actually

[00:15:59] can figure out what it is you're trying to tell them and respond correctly in accordance to what

[00:16:08] you know you were talking about I mean it's surprising how they do that I mean you would

[00:16:16] be the one too stupid to not know what they're actually communicating to you back

[00:16:22] but eventually like you know when you get into the process you will actually get it

[00:16:29] how cool is that I mean I don't expect you to be at bars but why not give it a try

[00:16:38] you don't need to do more good than any harm to be honest by the way I don't think this would

[00:16:45] work out with bats or snakes because I don't think they have that kind of nature in you know getting

[00:16:51] in touch with humans and so be careful in that space but anyways to sum up everything

[00:16:58] connecting with nature brings the best side of you it always brings you brings the inner child

[00:17:04] out of you and that in fact actually heals whatever troubles you may have in life

[00:17:10] as well as anything you may have physically because when your brain is in that alpha stage of mind

[00:17:17] it begins emitting chemicals in your body that tranquilize you and also make you immune to

[00:17:24] most variants most ailments that are out there in the earth you technically become the

[00:17:34] indestructible much like that of itself
