[00:00:00] Hello and welcome to Connecting with your Natural Self.
[00:00:28] The podcast that will help you master the mindset of an ancient Vedic scholar.
[00:00:33] I am Udhaya Ravishankar, your host and guide on the journey.
[00:00:37] I am a developer in artificial intelligence with 12 years of experience in publishing
[00:00:42] conference and journal articles in that area and which is heavily ingrained in mathematics.
[00:00:48] On the other side, I have personally gone through a Vedic transformation myself and
[00:00:53] become bugged by the way religions and cultures of today are operating.
[00:00:58] In each episode of Connecting with your Natural Self, I will share with you my Vedic insights
[00:01:04] and strategies that have helped me in my journey back to the earth which I achieved by understanding
[00:01:11] what commonly binds us together.
[00:01:14] As a scholar, I also expect you to be able to pass on the same to your students
[00:01:19] or in fact inspire them.
[00:01:21] You will learn how to overcome some spiritually mental challenges, get answers to some of the
[00:01:27] most deep, most burning questions and reach your goals in developing the real Vedic mindset.
[00:01:33] You will also get tips and tricks that you can use right away to improve your skills
[00:01:40] and knowledge.
[00:01:48] Today on Tamil New Year's Day, I will be talking about your intuition.
[00:01:55] Because now that we have done meditation as a way of connecting with your natural self,
[00:02:00] we can delve into trusting your inner guide in the process.
[00:02:05] So what is intuition and what do I really mean by your inner guide?
[00:02:11] Is there someone inside you that keeps pestering you on what decisions you have to make
[00:02:16] or how you are supposed to think about certain things?
[00:02:19] Well, the answer to that is yes, there is someone inside of you who keeps pestering your thoughts
[00:02:26] and that someone is none other than you.
[00:02:30] Yup, you are the one pestering yourself with all sorts of weird thoughts.
[00:02:36] And if you did not know, it's your brain that is responsible for the things that
[00:02:39] you say or do because it's the same contraption of an organ that processes all sounds
[00:02:45] and light from the outside universe.
[00:02:49] That sound also includes your voice.
[00:02:51] And so just like it likes reproducing other people's voices, you have heard during your
[00:02:57] lifetime and make them say all kinds of ridiculous things in your brain or to your best friends
[00:03:04] to have a good laugh, your brain likes to do the same with you.
[00:03:10] But whenever yourself talks to yourself, it usually shows you who you really are deep down
[00:03:17] inside yourself or who you really think you are.
[00:03:21] And whenever it comes to defending yourself in certain situations, it presents itself
[00:03:26] as a material for you that you can use in any argument.
[00:03:30] However, most of the time you won't make any utterances about it because it's
[00:03:36] something you'd like to always keep it within yourself, which is exactly how things are supposed
[00:03:42] to be because you would always want to be able to live with people who don't always
[00:03:49] expect you to explain yourself to them all the time.
[00:03:54] And for those who do expect you to do that, you definitely have to remove yourselves
[00:03:59] from them because speaking from within takes a lot of energy.
[00:04:06] And if you're in a group that always expects you to explain yourself over and over again,
[00:04:12] that is a stand amount to harassing.
[00:04:15] And that happens because they only want to see the negative things about you or only
[00:04:22] associate negative things with you.
[00:04:26] And all they are interested in is sucking out your energy no matter whatever you tell them.
[00:04:32] And these are the tactics people use to break your inner self or the inner you.
[00:04:41] So in such cases, always trust your inner gut, your inner guide.
[00:04:47] It will help you come out of any sort of breakages like this, especially if you
[00:04:51] have made many accomplishments in your life.
[00:04:55] It will help you in many ways because quoting my previous podcast episode on
[00:05:00] Mediterranean mixtape, we learned that the key factor to touching the centroid is learning
[00:05:06] and development.
[00:05:09] And when you have made several accomplishments in your learning and development process, that
[00:05:14] itself creates a cyclical effect on your self confidence.
[00:05:20] And that's like a key factor on how you can come out of any mental breakage and also how
[00:05:26] you can become indestructible.
[00:05:28] Anyways, apart from breakage and all that crap, you can always trust your gut or your
[00:05:36] inner guide for any decision you make or whatever you have to make.
[00:05:45] Because when you do that, you always prioritize what drives deep down yourself before you make
[00:05:52] any decision.
[00:05:54] And that in fact is the most important thing because technically you are allowing yourself
[00:05:58] not to do something just for the sake of doing it but because of something that drives
[00:06:03] you deep down your soul.
[00:06:06] So it can even be the most imperfect action or decision.
[00:06:10] And if that was what drove you deep down, then that action you did or that decision you
[00:06:17] made was right.
[00:06:20] And then it's from there you learn and that it's that learning that takes you one more
[00:06:26] step towards the centroid.
[00:06:29] If you want to put that in other words, every experience you go through counts.
[00:06:36] The more you do what drives your inner self, the faster you come closer to the centroid
[00:06:41] and maturity will just come out of it as it lies in the gray area between you know what
[00:06:49] right?
[00:06:50] Royalness and your inner child.
[00:06:53] But if I want to quote my previous episode, it's Rajatandram and the inner child.
[00:07:01] Now there are cases where and when listening to your imperfect gut or inner guide may cost
[00:07:09] you or everyone else around you.
[00:07:13] And the fact that it costed others too was where everything went wrong because of you.
[00:07:18] It's almost like the same situation Arjuna had in the Mahabharata in the Kurukshetra
[00:07:23] battlefield.
[00:07:24] And you know the entire Bhagavad Gita talks about it.
[00:07:27] So let's delve into this a bit so we get some perspective.
[00:07:33] Let's put our Mortal Kombat hats on and you see after the Kaurava and Pandava armies assembled
[00:07:40] at the Kurukshetra battle for the Pandavas right to Indra Prasadtha, you know their kingdom
[00:07:46] after you know the eldest of them was forced by Sugini, was Duryodhana's uncle into
[00:07:53] the game of dice by placing to him a Kshatriya's challenge which Yudhishthira himself was quite
[00:08:01] uncomfortable with but had to take it up just for the sake of Kshatriyaism.
[00:08:06] But then lost everything one by one including his kingdom and Draupati you know where
[00:08:12] the Kauravas tried to destroy them all and then after all that and after much discussion
[00:08:18] by the council they were made to go on exile for 13 years and one more in incognito which
[00:08:26] if they were recognized by anyone by any chance they would have to repeat another 13 plus
[00:08:32] 1 years again and so on.
[00:08:36] But since they were not recognized in that last one year they could legitimately reclaim
[00:08:42] their kingdom but which Duryodhana refused to give back despite all arguments and
[00:08:47] it was time that they had to settle it by battle and it was at this moment when Ajna saw the
[00:08:52] size of the Kaurava army in Kurukshetra which he knew he could wipe out pretty easily his
[00:08:58] gut his inner guide started questioning him whether he had to go this far just to get
[00:09:03] back Indra Prasadtha.
[00:09:05] I mean any normal person would not want to kill so many people just to get back
[00:09:10] something like a kingdom or a property that rightfully belonged to them right?
[00:09:17] You will definitely be like you know what keep it and then you would walk away and that's
[00:09:24] exactly what was running in Ajna's mind but his cousin Krishna who he picked to be with
[00:09:30] during the battle was and was having a conversation with him was advising him to fight instead
[00:09:39] You see Krishna and Ajna go a long way back with their friendship.
[00:09:44] They had done the most absolute weird things together the biggest of which was the marriage
[00:09:51] heist of his cousin sister Durya Subhadra.
[00:09:54] Now let me let you in on this a bit so you can see for yourself what kind of naughty
[00:10:00] fellows they both were.
[00:10:03] Long back before when Ajna and Krishna were young but you know after Draupati, Swaimvaram
[00:10:08] and all other events after that blah blah blah and there was after all there was like a
[00:10:15] festival in Dwarka for which the Pandavas were invited and over there Ajna had his eyes
[00:10:24] on Subhadra which Krishna had noticed kind of sneakily and without showing any sort
[00:10:31] of grumpiness like any brother would you know even if a cousin had eyes on his sister
[00:10:38] Ajna went ahead and confirmed with Ajna whether his interest in Subhadra was as he thought
[00:10:45] and when Ajna confirmed that Krishna just directed him and told him to just steal her
[00:10:52] I mean anyone want a cousin like this?
[00:11:04] Okay so hearing this Ajna got all excited he got approval from his brother Yudhisthira
[00:11:09] who in fact also gave him his thumbs up following Krishna and then set out to abduct Subhadra
[00:11:19] after you know like you know during the festive season she was going uphill to a temple
[00:11:24] with her girlfriends just to get some blessings from the priest and all that and then just
[00:11:29] at that time you know when you have to attack you have to attack alone you know
[00:11:33] when there's nobody around when the girl is not surrounded by too many people right
[00:11:38] so that's a strategy as a tactic and so it was there Ajna abducted her and her girlfriend
[00:11:47] witnessing all of this got startled and then went to their elders in Dwarka to report
[00:11:53] what Ajna did the entire Dwarka got rattled and then there was like one big discussion
[00:12:00] on how to make Ajna pay for what he had done and while all of this is going on
[00:12:05] Balram on the other hand was watching Krishna saying absolutely nothing or having any perspective
[00:12:12] about all of this and seeing this kind of thing Balram stopped the discussions
[00:12:17] and then went on to ask Krishna to convey his opinion about all of what had just
[00:12:22] happened because he was being so awkwardly silent Krishna then told everyone that
[00:12:28] you know all your discussions are completely fruitless because none of them would be able to
[00:12:33] counter him in battle even if they all ganged up on him instead there would be
[00:12:40] disgraced by defeat and which will only reflect badly on their on their tribes so pretty much
[00:12:49] so they could pretty much spare themselves off of such useless discussions it makes no sense
[00:12:55] hearing all of this the tribes of Dwarka agreed like yeah obviously no one can
[00:13:00] or say defeat Ajna even if they all ganged up on him so what do we do then
[00:13:06] and so they started thinking about you know how to capture him just you know get him at least
[00:13:13] legally marry Subhadra you know why not do that so think about all of this this stuff right
[00:13:20] here is just you know Zindagi Na Mila Get Dobra stuff you know like if you watch that movie
[00:13:27] but all of this in a Mortal Kombat context
[00:13:32] so now let's now you see why Ajna picked Krishna instead of his army for the Kulakshetra
[00:13:39] battle you know when they were preparing for all this I mean still maintaining respect for Krishna
[00:13:46] as he's the Paramatma if you had to put all of this in you know in Kali Yuga words but in short form
[00:13:53] you would have definitely guessed that Ajna must have seen Krishna as someone you know who you would
[00:13:59] say you know this this mofo is just absolutely nuts that is Krishna for you man this guy was one
[00:14:13] nut guy was nuts but in the right way so it's always hard to tell what you know goes on in the
[00:14:21] mind of a Paramatma now getting back to the Kulakshetra so this dope dude Krishna was instead advising
[00:14:28] him to fight the battle and not back off all because you know he didn't want to let Duryodhana
[00:14:33] get away with his atrocious stance on the whole thing and you know in the end after explaining
[00:14:40] to him all that action in action stuff where he was explained to Ajna that he had to fight
[00:14:46] without expecting any outcome but only for the sake of honor and then after all that Krishna in
[00:14:52] fact tells him you know just trust him just trust Krishna just trust him despite whatever his gut
[00:14:58] or inner guide tells him you know and go ahead with the fight you know what I call is the
[00:15:05] fist bump moment that's what really happened so Ajna really did not want his gut to live like
[00:15:12] like a normal person not to kill that many people but circumstances for him provided
[00:15:20] a provider for him where he had to do it and so if you two came up with a similar situation
[00:15:26] wherein your gut or your inner guide this led you to take a decision that you know costed
[00:15:31] yourself and others as well and you had no one like Krishna to guide you otherwise
[00:15:38] then the decision you made was right
[00:15:43] right because you didn't have that that extra factor with you and so whatever you
[00:15:49] decided was right and then you don't have to beat yourself about it after that because
[00:15:53] you see even in physics also like I talked about in my earlier episodes it is this gut based
[00:15:58] inner guide or inner guide based action that is pretty much how the universe we witness functions
[00:16:05] and that means you can always you know in a metaphorical sense you can always trust your
[00:16:13] inner guide no matter what the circumstances are that is the formula and that is also what
[00:16:21] I expect of you when you join my program because apart from all the math that I'm
[00:16:24] teaching you I want you to gain the ability to read and comprehend the Vedic text with me
[00:16:31] starting with the Samavira and it is only by trying to find the gut level or inner guide meaning
[00:16:37] of the stokas that you will be able to deduct the true meanings this of course is difficult and
[00:16:43] and is why I have not been able to read all the Vedas myself but with a set of new minds like
[00:16:49] yourselves directed in the same context we can unravel the real mystical sciences the way there's
[00:16:55] actually talk about together and talking about gut level inner guide stuff here's a quick challenge
[00:17:03] what would you think would be the best translation for say this movie I talked to you about
[00:17:08] the Zindagi Namile Dobara you know if you take its literal translation in Hindi
[00:17:13] it is what you don't get life twice right that's a literal translation but then at the gut level
[00:17:19] you go deep down it means the same as what you live only once YOLO that's what it is and that
[00:17:26] would be the more appropriate translation if you want to give it to someone if you want to
[00:17:29] tell it to someone right even if there is no indication of the word once in that Hindi
[00:17:35] movie name right and this is what would be expected of you when reading the Vedas
[00:17:40] so let's sum everything up now so from this podcast I have told you you have to always follow
[00:17:48] your gut your inner guide no matter how flawed it may be because the actions or decisions it
[00:17:54] presents to you are the ones that need to be taken or have to take shape and embracing this
[00:18:02] will be the key for you to be able to read the Vedas with me and so far if you found my
[00:18:07] Vedic depictions or explanations of good standards against all that you may have come across up till
[00:18:14] now then consider joining my program you will definitely find the right place in you in your
[00:18:21] learning and development process and more importantly more importantly I'll definitely
[00:18:27] be happy to have you on board
[00:20:07] you
