This configuration allows for the unrestricted flow of energy, symbolizing openness and accessibility from all directions. It’s as if the palace is welcoming positive energy from every possible source, ensuring a constant influx of prosperity and good fortune.One of the most striking features of Mysore Palace is its grand main entrance, which faces east. According to Vaastu Shastra, the east is the direction of the rising sun and is considered highly auspicious. This orientation invites positive energy, prosperity, and new beginnings. It’s no wonder that the palace has been a cradle of power and wealth for the Wodeyar dynasty for centuries.Symmetry is another vital aspect of Vaastu Shastra, and Mysore Palace exemplifies this principle beautifully. Beyond the east road There is a large parking space the Dodda Kere Maidana,on the east side. Beyond the north road, there is a vast open space Dr. Vishnuvardhan Udhyana Vana and Kuppanna Park in the north east. These open spaces on the north ,east and north-east act as active sources of fortune for the Royal family.Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV, the 24th Maharaja of Mysore, was a visionary leader and a true pioneer of modernization. His reign, spanning from 1902 to 1940, is often regarded as the 'golden age of Mysore.' Under his guidance, Mysore became the first Indian state to generate hydroelectric power in Asia, and Bangalore was the first Asian city to have street lights. He laid the foundation stone for the Krishna Raja Sagara (KRS) Dam, which was completed in 1924 and played a crucial role in irrigation and water supply for the region.Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV was a patron of education and the arts. In 1909, he played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, alongside Jamsetji Tata and the Government of India. This institution has become one of the leading research universities in the world. In 1916, he also conceptualized and produced Mysore Sandal Soap, which would go on to become a legendary brand. His dedication to quality and innovation has left a lasting legacy in the world of personal care products.The Maharaja established the University of Mysore in 1916, making it the first university in India outside British administration. He also founded numerous other educational institutions, promoting compulsory primary education and providing scholarships for widowed women. His efforts extended to marginalized communities, ensuring access to education for all.Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV's contributions to infrastructure were equally remarkable. The construction of wide roads and modern urban planning transformed Mysore into one of India's best-planned cities. His commitment to public health led to the establishment of the Minto Eye Hospital, one of the world's oldest eye hospital, and the Victoria Hospital in Bangalore, which remains one of the most eminent medical institutions in South India.During his reign, Mysore also saw significant advancements in culture and the arts. The Maharaja was a skilled musician and patronized various artists, fostering a vibrant cultural scene. He promoted Kannada and Sanskrit literature and supported the development of Mysore as a center for yoga, inviting renowned teachers like T.
