Inside the Scale of Square Yards #blumepodcast

Square Yards is no longer a startup. It’s an institution in motion.

Today, Square Yards is a team of nearly 6,000 people.
Not “employees,” as Tanuj Shori puts it — but a family spread across businesses, geographies, and functions.

About 5,000 of them are in retail distribution, operating on the ground across verticals — the engine that powers Square Yards’ scale.

Geographically, the business is now firmly anchored in India (85%), with meaningful presence in the Middle East (12%), and early but active footprints in Australia and Canada (3–4%).

What stands out isn’t just the headcount or the numbers.
It’s the operating reality of building a services-led, distribution-heavy company — one that scales through people, process, and trust, not just software.

In this episode of The Blume Podcast, Karthik Reddy speaks with Tanuj Shori about what it takes to build and manage an organisation of this scale — and how Square Yards evolved from a scrappy startup into a global real estate platform.
