Amogh: Hello and welcome to the Corner Flag. It's a lovely Monday, especially if you're an Arsenal fan. We've got all the updates from Gameweek 3 on this episode because we have a full house. Ronaq is here, Nathan is here, and surprise, surprise, Mukesh is also Nathan: Hello. Amogh: here on time and ready to go. Mukesh: Hi guys! Nathan: Mm-hmm. Amogh: That was very, very, very creepy. There was a hint of... There was something very sexual about that. Ronaq: Yeah, creepy is the word. Nathan: Yeah, yeah, it's like this is like that. Yeah. Hello ladies. Hello ladies. One pound fish. Same energy. Amogh: What the fuck is that? Ronaq: You've not heard that? It is so funny. Nathan: you don't know that meme dude is the legendary guy Amogh: No. Nathan: from London sell Indian guy Indian or Bangladesh. I'm not sure, but I'm assuming Indian guy. Huh? Yeah. How are you? Amogh: Arey, over there, over there they're all the same. Mukesh: The same guys. We can be racist to us. Amogh: Yeah Ronaq: You Nathan: You've not seen that meme. We'll send it to you. for those watching, please put Amogh: Please send. I feel so... Nathan: it in the chat as well. Amogh: I feel so old right now. What do you kids do on the internet? Give me education. Nathan: Dude, it's been around since like two decades. Amogh: That's how old I am. I'm more than two decades old. Nathan: You Amogh: But fuck. dude. I feel like I'm a fever just because of what happened in the Premier League. And this is on the back of United beating Ipswich 5-2. And we said things like, greatest team in the world and all of that. Nathan: Ha! Amogh: How quickly we come back to earth. Ronaq: Yeah, literally. mean, you know, when that 90th minute ke baad we were running in the extra time and we were just on the back foot, like, you know, we were conceding chances and all of that. And at 95th minute or 94th minute whatever the last final minute, I was like, please, just Like just till the final whistle, just take it And Nathan: Yeah, I saw that. Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: within seven seconds of me actually saying it out loud, was like, for fuck's sake. Amogh: Uhhh... Nathan: Just Amogh: Just... Yeah... Nathan: one clearance away one just literally one clearance away Amogh: Yeah... Ronaq: And you know, it's literally like the average laments gold that he conceives of fucking bangers. Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: Whatever you any Nathan: Yeah. Ronaq: banger comes and hits you. Amogh: Yeah, yeah, even the Tyring George goal. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Nathan: That was a... What a goal dude. What a goal. That was... Ronaq: Add gold. Amogh: and we'll get to that in a bit. But let's do a quick table check before anything else. Man City on nine points top of the league. Arsenal also on nine points top of the league. Hull City in third place with seven points. Guys, three games. Ronaq: Yeah, it's like the Sunderland of last season. Amogh: dude, I feel like the way they're going, this is much better than Sunderland of last season. No goals considered in three games. Nathan: Yeah, no curls exactly. Amogh: This is a team that everybody thought was going to be relegated by the end of season, which still might happen by the way. Let's not count our chickens before, but fantastic showing from Hull City. Chelsea are fourth with six points. On the other end of the table, it is even more depressing because Aston Villa 1.0 goals, Spurs 1.0 goals, Fulham 0 points and Coventry, Rockbottom 0 points as well. I just want to point out that Aston Villa and Spurs have scored the same number of Premier League goals this season as the four of us on this podcast as well as Mukesh: You Amogh: everybody who Nathan: Wow. Amogh: is watching this right now. Literally everybody who will in life watch this episode is level. Mukesh: Unless Alexander Isaac is watching this right now. You never know. Ronaq: Hehehehehe Amogh: Which I think he definitely will. know, I think after scoring Nathan: Yeah. Yeah! Amogh: those two quickfire goals against Tipswitch, one must Nathan: Hmm Amogh: retire home with... with some corner flag in their their in their airports. Nathan: Yeah, dude. We'll show him our highlights from Andrews now. Come on. Amogh: Yeah, I'm telling you man, the best thing that Andrew's turf has done is added those cameras on every turf where you can get recordings of your games. Nathan: It's so cocky dude, like if I have a good game, if I score more than 3 goals, I'm like, yeah I'm putting. Siobhan's story is going up, like it's so... Everyone does it by the Amogh: F**k you've been... Nathan: way. Amogh: One minute. F**k you've been putting up stories after every game because we're on the same football group. So I know every time you're playing. Okay, so then you've been playing with Nathan: I have not played with that group for a long time though. Amogh: other groups but you've been posting very regularly. So you've been having very good games, Nathan. Like your consistency has been much better than United's. United has been up and down. Nathan is killing it. Nathan is the arsenal. Nathan is the arsenal of St. Andrews football turf. Absolutely f**king consistent stuff. Ronaq: You Nathan: Yeah, I will take that as a compliment. shi shi shi, don't say that, yaar. Ronaq: you Amogh: No, but some banger goals you've also been scoring, Nathan: 1-2 comes out nice CDM types Amogh: Like, one minute, don't modest now. Now it's too late to be modest. Like, one or two hands and all. Ronaq: You Nathan: I played for now, I have to go and play now. Get back to it. But even after Amogh: Let me know when you're playing this, I'll also try it. Nathan: United, they also not played properly. Ronaq: Kill him. Amogh: Win, win, win, win, draw, every alternate game for United is a victory. Ronaq: I mean, quick question is that United Strand guy is still going or Katwaliye Bhai Ne Baal? Amogh: Yeah. Nathan: Yeah, Amogh: No, no, no. Nathan: no, he's still going, Amogh: He's still going. Ronaq: Sadhu Baba Barenge! Amogh: He's still going. I think he just braided his hair. Fuck knows. I think... I feel Nathan: I think he needs to just stop posting content for some time. Ronaq: Crazy. Amogh: like... Yeah, I feel like he's got... He's become irrelevant now. Nobody cares Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: It's done. People spoke about him and now it's done. What else Nathan: Hmm. Amogh: Okay, he's not cutting his hair. Like... It is such basic... Ronaq: Now when there 5 wins, we will talk again. He please cut it Amogh: But then Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: that also dies out so quickly, you then what's that? What's the next challenge? Ronaq: Yeah, it's like a quick one thing. Amogh: It's ridiculous. Anyway, let's start off with the big game. course, Chelsea versus Arsenal. Arsenal versus Chelsea. That's the Emirates. Arsenal beating Chelsea 2-1. And this is after Morgan Rogers gave the lead to Chelsea. It had to be Morgan Rogers. Somebody that Arsenal will link Nathan: Hehe. Amogh: to it for all of the summer. For him to score a very quick opening goal. And a good goal at that as well. David Raya, lots of people in the way couldn't really see where the ball was coming from, I guess. Ronaq: It was a quick wall here and the best thing was from a set piece and I was just so happy seeing us and concede from a set piece because you know they've Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: terrorized the Premier League with set pieces. So Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: for them to concede a goal with the set piece it was good to watch but obviously it was the opening minutes and I think more than anything even Arsenal was shocked because after that they didn't concede yes Pedro Neto did hit the post once but yeah Amogh: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Nathan: Hmm. Ronaq: after that they were again solid. Mukesh: I think we discussed this before the game, you remember that Chelsea's best chance is to create the chaos and then hold on to it. And then Ronaq: Yeah. Yeah. Nathan: Yeah. Mukesh: make Arsenal desperate. But I don't think they were good in... I think they created the chaos. But I think after that goal, never really looked like Chelsea were in control of the game in any sense. Like, I don't think they could ever really make... They never made Arsenal look desperate. It felt like, okay, at some point they'll Nathan: Hmm. Mukesh: eventually score and I Havertz was also in good touch. Amogh: Yeah, but Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: I feel like in general, I genuinely enjoyed the quality of this game. I both teams played really Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: well. It was a very, very entertaining game. And we have to say this, like Arsenal responded to the Morgan Rogers goal like champions, like they didn't Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: start panicking, they knew that they had it in them to get a goal or two or how many ever needed to win the game. And they just kept at it. They battered Chelsea for that opening 30 minutes. They battered Chelsea about Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: 10 shots in that opening 30 minutes Ronaq: in the opening 30. Yeah. Amogh: spell. And then Kai Havertz with the equalizer, again, a fantastic finish from Kai Havertz, getting the angle Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: really well, getting, you know, getting that far right corner, bottom corner really, really well. He's a guy to look out for. Kai Havertz has become the starting centre forward and there have been doubts about his ability. His Arsenal career didn't start at the best possible level. was always, there was something always lacking one would always think about Kai Havertz but I think last season and especially this season onwards, he's really proving himself to be a dependable goal-getter Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: for... Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: for us now. Ronaq: And the thing is, he's so critical to the way Arteta plays, the way Arteta sets up. is like Giocheres can't link up the play like Havards. He just can't. He doesn't have it in his arsenal to do that. So yeah, I Amogh: Yeah. In is our silk. Mukesh: Whoa, whoa, whoa! We're on lock and control, Nathan: on today's episode of the corner flag podcast. Ronaq: know. But like you now see in like contrast to last season where Arsenal were only depending on set pieces and you know, really playing restrictive football. It was a really nice breath of fresh air to see Arsenal not panic. First of all, they went at it. You know, they didn't think that, you know, this is Chelsea and you know, we really need to hold our fort down tight and then they've already scored once. It was none of that. They were just playing the normal game, which is obviously to hold the fort down tight, but they were having a lot of wave after wave of attack. and it was just inevitable that they were going to score and the goal was such a good goal like the Odegaard goal, the second goal, the link up play, it was just brilliant and even Havertz like Nathan: Hmm. Ronaq: the first goal. I don't remember the last time you've seen such a goal from Kai Havertz. Generally, he's at the end of crosses, generally at the end of chaos. He's inside the box. This is he was coming out from the wing, cutting in one player's stick, took it on his left and then obviously sort of slotted it in. So now this Arsenal team is like really enjoying the football in contrast to last season where they were doing a lot Amogh: Yeah. Yeah. Ronaq: of the labour work. Amogh: Yeah. Quick mention for Kai Havertz is dummy for Odegaard's goal as well. I Soli's got the assist Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: which as a Soli's owner in FPL I'm very happy about. But one could say that Havertz should also get assist points for that because his dummy was very, very critical. Fucking beautiful goal to watch also. Odegaard Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: in the right place at the right time. just poetry in motion. Ronaq: Yeah, yeah. Nathan Mukesh, Mukesh: Thank Ronaq: any thoughts on the game? Nathan: Arey dude, I was really hoping. No, no, you got it, you got it. Mukesh: I was looking forward to seeing some Alonzo Masterclass. Amogh: Yeah, but Nathan: yeah, Amogh: is there in the Nathan: I was. Amogh: Lanzo Master Class? Mukesh: I don't think there wasn't, I really thought, right, Nathan: Hmm. Mukesh: there will be like, I'm not, I'm not sure. think all the managers in this, in this, in this year, this year, so like, feel very new, like, you know, I'm not able to pinpoint exact tactical ideas of any manager. I'm sure they're also figuring it out, but it felt like Arteta and probably Alonzo, probably the closest we get to some sort of a tactical battle between any two managers. Nathan: Yeah. Mukesh: But there was, I don't know, to me, I was a bit disappointed that. It didn't, it didn't feel like there was much. didn't feel like I Nathan: Mmm, yeah. Mukesh: watched about I think 60 to 70 minutes of the game. don't think Chelsea ever looked like they were going to capitalize on it. They didn't have that, you know, we'll do a mad dog defense team for some time. Just show Arsenal only what if two defensive teams meet who's going to attack. None of Amogh: Yeah. Mukesh: that shit. It Nathan: Yeah. Mukesh: was just like, Hey man, we scored a goal and I think, you you guys are going to score two. I don't know. Did you guys ever doubt that Arsenal will not win? like I'll ask them what score the goals. So I was a bit Ronaq: No. No. Nathan: I was... nah. Mukesh: disappointed by Alonso. I felt like Chelsea players were giving it their all, but Ronaq: No, but like, you know, I think Chelsea's three games now we've seen that they either they can't defend or either they don't care about the defense as much. They care more about scoring goals and against Arsenal, that tactic is a little bit flawed because Arsenal are so good Nathan: Yeah. Ronaq: at defending and so robust. So even Amogh: Yeah, yeah. Ronaq: though Chelsea managed to score one goal, if they hadn't scored that first goal, I can honestly see a clean sheet for Arsenal there. So it's just honestly how good Arsenal were. And we spoke about this in the last video that it is Arsenal are going to be controlling the game and it is on Arsenal how much they slip up to let Chelsea get a goal or get chances or you know, get the get a way back into the game. And that's literally what happened. It was a set piece and then it was all Arsenal. Amogh: I mean seven goals now Chelsea have shipped in the first three games that is quite worrying from a defensive point of view for Javier Alonso and Chelsea but yeah like you said like they don't care about the defense as much on that he's that's what it seems like this early on in the season they care more about scoring the goals and they have enough firepower to do that but We spoke about Chelsea being an outside chance for the title this season because they've got a great manager in Jabi Alonso, they've got a fantastic squad now with the additions they've made with Morgan Rogers, Amy Martinez also now shoring up Nathan: Hmm. Amogh: the goalkeeping squad which was a big pain point for Chelsea. And of course, added to the fact that they don't have any European football this season. So they're only playing a Premier League and domestic cup football which gives them a bit of an advantage over their nearest title rivals. Do you think this type of KVS3 football from Javi Alonso is going to be enough to make them contenders even come the end of the season? Ronaq: No, obviously not. mean, Nathan: No man. Ronaq: he needs to get a grip on his defense. Obviously, like it goes Nathan: Hmm, defense exactly. Ronaq: without saying. And I think, mean, you know, even this is a team that is setting up fairly newly this new tactics for all the players. It's a new system of play. And we also know that they don't have Kaisado. They don't have you know, Kaisado is the rock, obviously, in the heart of that midfield and they lost Enzo Fernandez. So They're playing with stop gaps right now. Malo Gusto is playing better. Neto is playing in positions. He's never really played before as much. So it's, it'll take some time and I don't know how much time is going to take because Chelsea has so many players. It's weird when you talk about Chelsea not having the right players or the depth they need to, you know, fit a certain tactical system, but it's just the reality of things, right? Amogh: I feel like because I mean it's still obviously very very early days into the Jhajit Alonso tenure but if his appointment is anything to go by it does look like Bluecoe are getting their shit together. because they have been heavily criticized in the past for their managerial appointments and their transfer business as well. The kind of players that they've signed, the number of players that they've signed and the managerial appointments that they've made. But I feel like now with appointing Javi Alonso, they've found a manager that they can build a project under. He's and I don't know you remember this when he was announced as Chelsea manager, he was called the manager of the first team, not a head coach. Liam Rosiniar was head Ronaq: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Amogh: coach. know, Graham Potter Nathan: Hmm. Amogh: was head coach. For the first time in a while, they have said he is a manager. That means that he is going to be involved a little bit more in other aspects of running this football club and one would imagine that transfers are a big part of it. So it will be interesting to see how in the next few transfer windows if Javier Alonso manages to stay manager of Chelsea. if he really shapes the transfer strategy of this club and kind of culls the unnecessary players, the fringe players that are just overloading that squad and builds a squad that is fit for purpose, fit for his purpose. Nathan: Hmm. Mukesh: I haven't, it's not a theory, but it's a question I pondered about Chelsea, which is that I feel like Amogh: Why are they so shit? Mukesh: similar, which is that I feel like Alonzo's coming from having to handle Leverkusen, which is that when they were playing with Leverkusen, it was like, okay, we have about three teams better than us, Nathan: Hmm. Mukesh: and when we play against those teams, we will hold tight and release when we can. But Nathan: Yeah. Mukesh: I think... And somehow the assumption was that they'll beat the other teams easily, which is because if you look at even Chelsea's possession in the previous game, think over 30 % or something like that, right? The idea was that, you know what, let's not overrun ourselves. Let's hold, hold, hold and we'll release. But I think for the first time when he plays with Chelsea, I think he's not showing the mentality of some, the fact that he owns the top team with probably the biggest and best players. Amogh: Yeah. Yeah. Mukesh: You know what trying to say? I think his approach is still very Levacusen versus Bayern Munich. As opposed to Nathan: Yeah. Mukesh: being like, hey, I'm Chelsea, biggest club in London, debatable, but at least that's the attitude that they should have. With the biggest club in London, probably the biggest club in England, if you on fans. And therefore, I'm going to come to your ground to harass you. Right? I feel like that attitude is probably is what Alonso needs to probably instill in the players. It might take some time. But I also think Arsenal were quite lucky to Chelsea and Arsenal are quite early on in the fixture list when they're still very shaky Nathan: Yeah. Mukesh: and whatever, it just makes it a little smoother to bring the title home again. Amogh: I mean, also word of appreciation for the Emirates crowd when Morgan Rogers was substituted and was walking around the pitch, they were singing, you should have signed for a big club, which is Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: just excellent, excellent needle from from Nathan: Hmm. Amogh: the fans, proper, proper football fan behavior. Because again, like think about it, right? Like link to Arsenal for all the summer rejects, Arsenal goes to Chelsea, scores against Arsenal in about 77 seconds and then loses the game. Like this is the absolute Nathan: Yeah, that's just poetry or not. Amogh: perfect arc for, Ronaq: Also fought with Declan Rice. Yeah, Nathan: yeah yeah yeah, I was so happy to say wow, Ronaq: that was a good busta. Yeah. Nathan: game's back. Amogh: But there were a lot of these little skirmishes that happened then, why it also got into it with Romeo and Lavia. Nathan: Mm-hmm. Amogh: I like seeing this and especially in games Nathan: Yeah! Amogh: which are Arsenal vs Chelsea or something, I feel like the game has gotten a little too soft of late and I feel like this little bit of needle is needed. Let's Ronaq: 100%. Amogh: go to Manchester United who are back or who were back according to us in the last episode. this episode we to asterisks and say that terms and conditions apply. Ronaq: You Amogh: Because like I said earlier, it is always one win and then a bad result. Then they'll bounce back and win again, then it'll be a f**k all result again. Like we cannot get the consistency. Ronaq: Yeah, and you know, like just with United again, we saw that it was a difficult team to break down Everton. We were we didn't really have the intensity that we had in the second half of Ipswich. You know, most of us were really, you know, hoping to see something like that. But the reality was quite different. There wasn't the same intensity. The only person who was really trying to get some things done was Rashford on the wing. was playing really well off the left. Mbombo had a very up and down game like he didn't start very well. He didn't start particularly Nathan: Hmm. Ronaq: well, but then obviously came right in first with the cross to Rashford then Rashford created chance and then following that it was obviously his goal that got us going. So Mbombo had a what Amogh: What a goal bud, what a goal. Ronaq: a goal and it was his first against Everton I think in nine or 10 Premier League appearances against Everton it was his first goal. He'd only had an assist before this. So even in FPL terms, he were like, you know, mulling over the selling him or not. But yeah, I was happy to see Amogh: Yeah, I'm glad. Ronaq: Bermogad on the score sheet, but I was really expecting more from United as an attacking team who should have really gone to, you know, kind of take a hold of this game rather than just let it slip like they did towards the end. Amogh: I think I have a theory here about what United do and end up doing rather. I feel like it is when United are on the back foot when their backs are against the wall when the opposition team takes the lead is when we play our best football. Right? It is always... In Ronaq: Yeah, yeah, yeah, 100%. Nathan: Hmm. Yeah, that's- that's so... Amogh: the first half we will go one nil down and then something will wake the fuck up and we will then go on to score and... Ronaq: So you know across Sir Alex Ferguson's time there was always a saying that United love making things difficult for themselves because you would always concede first and then obviously we'd come back in the second half you know with a fire and that coming back part has kind of gotten a little Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: bit more difficult since Sir Alex Ferguson has left but Amogh: Look, all I'm saying is it's about time that we learn how to draw games in Fergie Time as well. Right, like the concept, the concept still Mukesh: Yeah. Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: exists, it rings true, but there are multiple facets to that concept. this one direction Nathan: Hmm. Amogh: only. You can't Fergie Time winners, you Fergie Time losers as I mean, Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: yeah, I feel like the problem was the first half was... was quite laborious. was a hard watch. Like you said, Ronald, Everton, tough team to break down, especially at home. They would have had a point to prove. Mbombo's goal opens it up, again, what a goal by Tyreek George. And Tyreek George is again a very, very good player. He's one to watch for Everton. Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: He's making that squad tick. So from an FPL point of view also, I think he would be an interesting investment to make. Don't you think, Ronaq: Hmm. Amogh: Ronald? Ronaq: Yeah, those cheap midfielders who were playing week in week out are always ones to watch. And you know, especially like I know Jack Grealish is a very high quality player when he was in Aston Villa, but you knew he was focal to that team and we didn't see similar outputs when he came to Manchester City. So these teams that are focal to a player who a player with quality, those players can really shine and obviously cheap FPL picks who are playing week in week out are always good to have. Amogh: Yeah, yeah. And then it was Benjamin Sheshko who we thought had won it in the 88th minute. Again, towering header. Pickford should have done better on that. Nathan: Yeah, it was just... But it was a decent header also. Ronaq: was a downward header, which is always difficult to always difficult to save. was before did try to get a hand to it. But it's because it was so low that it hit his hand, but still it kind of bounced to the ground and went in. Nathan: Dude, I was just surprised who got the assist. was like, what? Luke Shaw? What? Amogh: Yeah, Luke Shaw. Yeah. Ronaq: Sure, Yeah. Mukesh: Guys, do you remember, these are all like, I'm over laughed at Everett Wynne's transfer day, last day, last day of transfer crisis. And guess how karma comes back. I think it won't be mocking Luke Shaw also, or was that just a general, right? Amogh: Yeah. We were. No, no, we were. Ronaq: Yeah, of course. Mukesh: Yep. So I feel like, see, I feel like people are listening to this podcast somewhere. Amogh: I feel like people are listening to the podcast and I'll give you another fantastic bit of trivia. When the game was on, the game was on at 6.30 a.m. is bang in the middle of my daughter's bedtime routine. So dinner, bath, bedtime, all of that. Which is what I do. So I wasn't watching the game. While being with my daughter, was basically just following it on athletic, live updates, whatever you getting. fucking go one hill up, great, one all, okay, 88 minutes, Shesko header, was like fuck, another victory, this is going to be great. By the time stoppage time started, right, like at about the 92nd minute or something is when my daughter finally fell asleep, right, so now she's in my arms and I said okay, she's fast asleep, I can put Hotstar on my phone on like mute. And what's the last few kicks of the game? I scored and 10 seconds, Maitland Niles scored. Ronaq: I think we've singled out what the problem is somehow. Amogh: It is me. It is me. I am the problem. It is me. But what a goal also. Ainsley Matils-Niles. What a banger goal. Ronaq: Yeah. Yeah. Nathan: Hmm. Dude, that was a top bin, I think. Ronaq: Dobbins. Dobbins. Amogh: I feel like yes, Nathan: Bye! Amogh: you can consider it a stop. I feel like the Sheshko header was also prime Benjamin Sheshko goal. Like that was, if Ronaq: now. Amogh: you had to describe to somebody who doesn't know football and doesn't know Sheshko, Ronaq: you Amogh: what a Sheshko goal is, that is the dictionary definition of it. Ronaq: Yeah, yeah Nathan: I was actually surprised I was what sesco is and scoring what is Amogh: Hey, wearing Liverpool, I it a little weird Ronaq: I can Literally, last season wasn't Nathan: Isaac was injured but he made it. Amogh: Actually, when he scored that goal, was like, what Ronaq: shit, yeah. Amogh: the f**k? He's playing for Everton? Nathan: Yeah, yeah, yeah I was like Mukesh: Yeah, I was like, I saw the team sheet and I was like, what the fuck? What the fuck is this guy not in like basic tasks or something? Nathan: That Beto was also new, Amogh: Beto's Mukesh: Huh? Amogh: transfer, he's gone to Ferentina. So that's what the Nathan: yeah, shit. Fuck yeah, yeah, you're going to floor into the room. Amogh: fun that we were making of the Everton squad is that the transfer market has decimated the squad. They've lost so many of their key players and even right back because Sehmish Coleman retired, they didn't have any options and they finally signed Maitland Niles for some throw away prize like 4.3 million or something. think they signed them for. Which is funny because he had also tweeted or sent an Instagram story about wanting to leave Arsalan and go to a place where he feels wanted and he feels like he'll get a game and Arsalan had blocked his move back there. And then much later I think the move finally paid off and he scores this on his debut. Fantastic stuff. Ronaq: I mean, stuff of dreams for Maitland Niles, obviously. And it was so funny like Tyrick George's ex Chelsea scored against Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: United, then again Maitland Niles ex Arsil scored against United right now. was painful to watch. But honestly, I can only hope that we can, you know, just learn from this and hopefully get onto the games quicker rather than wait the entire first half for someone to show up with a bit of magic to open up, open our goal or someone to slip for our opening goal. It's just ridiculous. They need to kind of pick it up themselves now. Amogh: I mean. Nathan: Dude, how did Bruno, did Bruno have a good game? Amogh: He had a decent game, had a shot, had Ronaq: Yeah, Bruno had a good game, yeah. Amogh: a bunch of chances, I think he was denied by the crossbar once. A tough volley, but he was denied by the crossbar. Ronaq: Yeah, one shot hit the crossbar. Yeah. Amogh: No FPL returns obviously, but that doesn't tell the whole story. I think he still had a Ronaq: Yeah, obviously. Amogh: good game. I just feel like... Nathan: I put Martinez as my center back. Amogh: United ka defensive assets lena is a crime, feel, in SPL. Mat Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: lo. Mat lo. Nathan: But I took a risk, I put Esac and Gakpo and I was like not bad. I got some points on that. My total was Amogh: How How much? How much? How much? Ronaq: two goals two assists, crazy. Nathan: 61. Amogh: Not bad. Mukesh: Alright guys, by the way, Nathan: Ooooo! Ronaq: Beautiful! Who did you have? Amogh: You know, all Nathan: Nice! Amogh: is fine. Are you in the corner flag league yet? Mukesh: I just add me, am I not? Is that, that, am I not automatically? Nathan: shit no. Nah I had both the fires. Amogh: Yeah, pointless, Nathan: I think we'll be last. I think I'll be last at least, cause last week I forgot to make my Ronaq: I don't think Nathan is in because last year I was trying to find Nathan in the league. Amogh: Yeah, I don't think... I don't think... I mean, just Nathan: No, I don't it. Send me a link. The code or whatever. Amogh: fucking... It's there on our Instagram, I've made a post about it. It's there on our fucking Instagram. Nathan: Okay, I'll do it. Yes. Mukesh: LUD Amogh: Sub, sub, sub, I mean... Everything needs to be hand-fed to you fuckers. Mukesh: No, these I just assumed I'm automatically a part of it. I didn't think I had to Ronaq: You Mukesh: press a thing. Nathan: We also assumed ESAC Mukesh: Yeah. Amogh: Hahaha Ronaq: I mean he just scored two goals and the second goal was what a good finish. The right left. Nathan: that second goal was class. Dude I actually thought like as soon as Gappu what a fart what an asses by Gappu by the way what a Trevalla Ronaq: What a ball, Trevalla! Nathan: right as soon as like it landed to Isaac I thought he's trying to scoop it or chip it but no he like he went left right and then I must Ronaq: Right, left, yeah. Nathan: I was just good Amogh: I mean, let's get to absolutely Liverpool. I feel slightly let down because everything that we spoke about in the preview show about Ira Ola liking the 2-2 scorelines has gone f**king down the drain because it ended up being United who got the 2-2 scoreline and Liverpool Nathan: Ha ha! Amogh: 1-0. Should I retire guys? Should I stop? I just should stop. Ronaq: Karma Nathan: I just feel this week also you should say similar things about Eriola and let it flip holy. shit heavy heavy see Mukesh also bounced. Amogh: I feel like Irawla is going win the league guys. I think he's going to win the league. I think he's going to win every match from here on. Whereas United are going to get relegated. Relegated. Ronaq: Heavy, Now the script has Amogh: Yeah, but Ishan has said something interesting in the chat, Maitlin Niles again a goal from a player who will not score again for the entire season but had Nathan: Nice. Amogh: to score against us. This is all, this always happens, always happens. Ronaq: Yeah, literally. Literally. Amogh: United of course now have City next. That's going to be a tough one, very, very tough. Yeah, that is next week. Nathan: that's next week. Damn. Ronaq: We also have a UCL fixture midweek. Nathan: Home away. Hey, who are you playing UCL this year? I'm in this season. Sorry. Next game. Sabha. Okay. I feel Ronaq: some Salma Saha Sabaa Sabaa Sabaa. Nathan: like this game will be a good confidence booster for you. Should be a confidence booster for the team. Amogh: I not Rithik's girlfriend club, this is a team club. Nathan: Liverpool are playing Atletico at home that's also going to be a fun match. Amogh: Pity laughs. I get pity laughs at my shit. Yeah, I know. I know. See, this is comedian etiquette. Ronaq: I didn't even give you that man. Amogh: Nathan was like, I know how it is. I know how tough dead crowds are. Ronaq: you Nathan: I going now after That's my spot today Amogh: Where is the backspace? it in Bandra? Nathan: You know where? Ok so Bandra station You take that left to go towards Bandra Talau Yes before You will see it There is a petrol pump right next to So nice room Amogh: Shall we talk about episode of Liverpool in little more detail because Alexander Nathan: Yeah Amogh: Isak getting two quick goals, Cody Gackpo assist, everybody has been talking about 125 million rated Nathan: EEEH Amogh: Bradley Barcula who did make an appearance off the bench. How was Barcula's Nathan: Hmm. Amogh: performance for you as a Liverpool fan? I know very small sample size but still. Nathan: Excuse me. Yeah. well, okay, dude, I, Amogh: speechless. It made you speechless. Ronaq: Thank Nathan: yeah, that's why he's got, he's got speed. He had a few cup. Okay. He didn't do much obviously, but like I got to see glimpses of what he can do and he's got speed. can cut in. Obviously his dribbling is nice. I can definitely see him and potentially is sort of linking, but, I will give him a whole game. It's too easy, too early for me to even meant much, from what I see, and I'm like, okay, nice. think he, I was, we are also rates these, you know, fast paced wingers a lot. So I think, I think this could be a good, signing or, know, he could cause a lot of trouble for the defenders that that's going to be a fun. And I think he might even, okay. He might start on Wednesday against atlético. never know. I'm also like coming to Gakupo dude. I'm, I'm, I'm said this. think I said this last week. I'm so happy he stayed because we need, you just need more bodies at this point in front, know, because, right wing pay a big corner. Like, Kiesa also injured. don't think he has, I was going to play right wing, right? right now Gakupo is moved to right wing, but again, I think has given him the freedom to be more central as well. So, and that worked out the last game, last two games, at least I think the previous game also versus. Amogh: Is that Nathan: He got an assist gagpo. Amogh: freedom a result of him wanting to leave for Manchester City and that move not working out? So Irawala is just Nathan: I don't know. Amogh: like, bro, whatever you want to Now you're here, this is like free period. Nathan: Yeah, but it's working for him so far. Amogh: You is a free period for The whole season is free period. Do whatever you want. Nathan: S hmm Ronaq: The way he was he long range 30 yards. Yesterday around 2 Nathan: Yeah, that was... Ronaq: assists, one was a Trevila assist. mean, Gack was on fire. Nathan: wow gackles on fire touch wood bro touch wood i hope i i i like gackle very predictable player also Mukesh: I feel like we could come up with this Gapoo-ISAC turns out to be a great partnership. There needs to be a name for that. what the shit. Like, have JP Morgan. Nathan: Yeah, who, gizack, no. Amogh: Just like. Mukesh: GSAC sounds disgusting. My Gapsac. Gapsac sounds like a disgusting. Amogh: Yeah, GZ. Yeah, GAPSEC does some GAPSEC. Nathan: Gax- Gax-ack. This is ass, this sounds like... Yeah, it's Mukesh: It sounds sexual, but I'm not sure what it is sexualizing. Ronaq: Alexander Nathan: like... Ronaq: Gackpo. Amogh: Alexander Gacken. Mukesh: Gapsack. Gapsack is what I'm going for. Sexual but not really sexual. Nathan: Go sack! Go sack! Amogh: Codec... Codexander. No, no, no. I don't think anything works, man. Nathan: Kodak, Kodak, Kodak, I think that's decent, that's a decent Kodak. Mukesh: That's decent. Random product Amogh: That's recent. Mukesh: placement but guess JP Morgan is also product placement. Amogh: Yeah, I guess the only hope that non-Liverpool fans have is that Kodak has gone bankrupt. So, you know. Nathan: waiting for our ekki tk to come back from injury man then we'll finally get to see words play to his best I guess because words and ekki tk towards his last they had like good chemistry and like I think a good stretch of 10-15 games last towards the end of it Amogh: I think it's a... Mukesh: I swear I thought you were gonna say a good stretch of 10-15 minutes because I feel like that's all it was. I Amogh: Yeah. Mukesh: don't remember these 10-15 games of good Nathan: Dude, no! Mukesh: stretch, let alone excellence. I'm sorry. 10-15 games Nathan: I think of Mukesh: of... You know, if there was no other Liverpool watcher Ronaq: Hehehehehe Mukesh: on this podcast, you might have gotten away with it. But let me tell you... Amogh: I yeah, I... Nathan: But... At least of Bargain news baby. Mukesh: Cool. Ronaq: you Amogh: Okay. Okay. I don't know if words has a chemistry or a link up with anyone. Anyone. Mukesh: Anyway. Amogh: In Liverpool, in England, in Germany, in the world of Nathan: Yeah it's Ronaq: Maybe frimpong because you don't have a gilte. Amogh: football. I mean, I don't... Nathan: I don't know man it just feels so bad for him But I think... Mukesh: What? Nathan: I like words bro I I've always liked them even at levelcuesin From what I've seen I'm like yeah he's He and that shick Whatever his name is Ronaq: Patrick Shick. Nathan: Yeah I'm like yeah he's cool Amogh: I feel, I feel, I'll tell you what. You're just feeling bad because he was a big money signing who has done sweet fuck all and everybody knows he is a flop and you just don't have it in Nathan: That also. Amogh: your hearts to say it. I feel like, okay. I want, I want by the end of the season, Mukesh: Yeah, it's like, you know, okay, I'll tell you what, I sweat. Nathan: I'm rooting for him, man. I'm rooting for this boy. I'm like, okay. Amogh: I feel like on the corner flag, we have to get Nathan to say yeah, words is shit. Like we have to get it, we have to get it. Mukesh: Dude, I swear, the problem Nathan: What's Mukesh: with words is like, okay, guys, Nathan: with so f**k all these bro? Mukesh: I'll give you an example, okay? I bought Birkenstocks because they were damn expensive and people said buy Birkenstocks. I found them extremely uncomfortable, but because I spent so much money, was like, they're damn good, Yeah, it's damn good. Nathan: Yeah, yeah, damn it. Bokeh is by Ronaq: Are you serious? I mean, I really like my work-ins man. They are good and comfortable. Nathan: Bokeh Pandora. My Bokeh is... Did you go around telling people? Amogh: Yeah, same. Mukesh: Yeah, exactly! Birajan is same thing! That's exactly how it... I like mine! I'm not saying... I'm not saying I don't like them. There are some guys who don't get it. These guys who don't get it. They don't... I like mine! Ronaq: okay. Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: We all have pair of burqas. We are like, yeah, yeah, it's very Ronaq: you Amogh: comfortable and we are limping everywhere with it. Mukesh: Not wanted in the last 3 months Bought it exactly 3 months ago my fucking god Nathan: I got book bro, I have that's enough. Amogh: I didn't... Ronaq: hahahaha! Nathan: At least this is more product Amogh: That's why he is such a big Florian words fan. to Birkenstock, he a Florian words jersey. Ronaq: You Mukesh: Yeah. Nathan: Hey, I didn't buy this. was just... I got it as a gift or something. Or it was just there, my... Ronaq: When you buy like 40,000 worth of Birkenstock, that's when they give you this notebook. Mukesh: Yeah, they'll give you a book. He's like, write all your Amogh: Yeah. So, Mukesh: miseries in this book. Amogh: in that case, then what is the free gift that Liverpool have got when they purchase Florian words for 100 million? Mukesh: FRIMBONG! Ronaq: Frimpong, I was about to say Frimpong! Nathan: Frump... frumpon Ronaq: And they had to pay 40 million for that gift. Mukesh: ohhhh f**k dude that was like 15 Nathan: Damn. Amogh: But Mukesh: games i was like wow what are these games Nathan: you Amogh: Nathan's notebook Ronaq: you Amogh: is more productive than Jeremy Frimpong. Nathan: Yeah! this, dude, I have put these in some way, reels and all, the views are brandy-brandy, so technically I have... R.O.A. Yeah! Ex... Frimpawn! Amogh: Correct? Correct. What is the ROI you have gotten from Jeremy Frimpong? Nothing. Mukesh: I don't think weds even as a friend. There are no social implications as well. Ronaq: hahahahah Amogh: Alright, okay Nathan: Here, Florin needs to put a lot of work. Florin works. But if you... Amogh: Ishan has also said if you think about it, there's been a history of German players not doing well in the English league. Hardly 2-3 players have done well. Kai Havertz would like to say otherwise, especially now. Of course. Ronaq: mean, Kaya versus obviously ones who have done well. Michael Ballack another, but yeah, I mean, that's what he said, right? Two, three players have done well. Sane has done exceptionally well. Nathan: Sane, Little is sane. Amogh: Sanyal, but can you say that he has done exceptionally well in the premiere league? Nathan: He's done well. Ronaq: He was in the Centurion team, like a mainstay in that. Of course. Nathan: Yeah Who else man? Gundo Amogh: Yeah, yeah, fair, Gundogan, yeah. Ronaq: Now good, yeah? Amogh: Milka-E-Gundogan. Nathan: Gundo, Gundo! Amogh: Okay, mean, Ishan, I feel like we've crossed the three players. Nathan: We'll just name city players at this point. Amogh: No, let's also talk about City then because City were a fantastic team. Like absolute champions elect performance getting a 1-0 victory against Coventry City. Mukesh: Ha Amogh: You know where the 115 million pound Elliot Anderson put a master class. A master class Nathan: Ooh! Amogh: guys. You know that is what a proper midfield player template should be like. Putting that master class against Coventry, that's what they paid him the big bucks for. Right? Ronaq: Hehehehehe Nathan: levels to this game. Amogh: There's levels, there's absolutely Ronaq: You Amogh: levels to this game. I'm just feeding into the PR machinery that City have going about their fucking star man. That this performance against Nathan: Bye. Amogh: Coventry was the second coming of Jesus Christ. Sorry, Nathan, I know it's your religion, took the Lord's name in vain. Nathan: It's okay man, it's fine Amogh: I'll get fucked by them, it's already over. Ronaq: No, but I mean city view, Nathan: Peace be with you. Ronaq: you know, I think everyone, everyone was expecting city to kind of hammer Coventry. Everyone played their triple captains. Everyone, you know, riled in on Cherokee. Yeah, of course. I did play my triple captain on Harland, Nathan: Yeah dude I put... Let me check who I put, I 2 players on the team Mukesh: Did you play, Ronak, first of all? Amogh: Yes. Ronaq: but I didn't pile into Cherokee or Forde, you know, Semenyo. I just had Harland Nathan: Yeah, I put jerky. Ronaq: in my team. I didn't make any transfers last week. Nathan: I put great 8 points I got. Ronaq: I was happy that Cherokee didn't score and I was happy that I held on to Mbamu who did score. City were... City just seemed very... They were just not able to convert their goals. They had a couple of good chances. But Coventry, we've just seen them... We expect them to concede a lot of goals but honestly they played decent football. It's not like Hull who have managed to defend really well. and not concede goals, but out of the two, would really expect Coventry to stay in the Premier League. If I had to choose one of them to stay in the Premier League, I would say it's going to be Coventry out of Hull and Coventry who would eventually stay in the Premier League. Amogh: I mean that's also because they have Frank Lampard as manager who's got, I mean for Nathan: Hmm Amogh: whatever his spells at Chelsea and Everton were like, he still has some decent Premier League experience and he's done a good job previously with Derby in the Championship as well. So he's not a manager who's fucking new to this shit and doesn't know what he's doing. Ronaq: I mean, just want to say decent Premier League experience. He's the fourth highest goalscorer of the Premier League. As a midfielder also, but yeah. Yeah. Amogh: I was talking about as a manager, I was saying decent Premier League. mean, as a player, I have to say Frank Lampard as a decent Premier League experience, I think that would be the reason why we shut this podcast down. More Nathan: Hahaha Amogh: than anything else. I mean, yeah, like Paul Scholes was better. No, I'm just saying. Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: It's hard, right? Like it's hard for teams like City also to beat down. the newly promoted sides and get some sort of footing in the game. They still managed a 1-0 victory, still got three points, that's what matters. I just don't like the fucking positive spin that the news outlets do just because it's sitting. Like Anderson's game wasn't anything marvelous, especially against Coventry. Nathan: Hmm. Amogh: Like, it... I don't know. Ronaq: See, you know, we've seen this in football, man. The result is prime. If the result goes your way, then you can spin off the performance any way you want. Like just with United League, now we're talking that, you know, it's only one win in three games and it's a bad spin. But then just if we don't concede that last goal, if it's a 2-1 win, then the whole conversation changes. It's like, OK, the first match was a draw, but now, you know, they've picked up steam. It's every week, every single game. Mukesh: I think even Carrick says that right, think in the press conference he's like, we want that bad. Amogh: Yeah. Mukesh: He also had this very Ronaq: Yeah! Mukesh: childlike reaction and he's Amogh: Yeah. Mukesh: justified, he's like, it wasn't that bad. Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: I think he just said in his press conference that there's no point in judging us right now. We'll see where we end up at the end of the season. That's Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: literally just what he said. Amogh: I mean, yeah, he needs to tell the media and the general fan base that from time to time, because as a fan base, we are very quick to point fingers. we said, right, like beat Episode 5-2 best team in the league. Fucking lose, not lose, but as good as a loss. Draw two, two against Everton. fuck, we're fucked. This is not going to be a good season. Ronaq: But in the grand scheme of things, drawing away at goodison is not the worst thing ever. It's not. And it's honestly okay. Amogh: losing 2-0 to Hull Mukesh: Yeah, Amogh: City in the first game week was the first thing. Why Mukesh: the PR machine in full flow! Amogh: should only one team from Manchester have a good PR machine? Right? That's Nathan: Hahaha Ronaq: Fuck yes. Amogh: what I want to know. I want to talk about Erling Harland's goal though. He was almost wrestled to the ground by the defender. I don't know who the defender was. He almost wrestled to the ground. Ronaq: What a go- he fucking eyed down that defender after scoring it was fucking... Like that is a fucking Nathan: Yeah dude, those as they say aura Ronaq: striker man, that's aura. That's literally Amogh: That is aura. Ronaq: fucking aura. Amogh: Yeah. And Ronaq: and stuff. Amogh: we all thought that he cut his hair and it would not, you know, farewell for him, but it's not affected him at all. He is still extremely frightening. As a defender, why would you do that? Why would you do that to Harlan? Don't poke the fucking bear, Don't do it. Ronaq: During pre-season, is exactly the kind of goal I was expecting Sesko Mukesh: Thank Ronaq: to score eventually because he's really really bulked up this season. He's obviously tall as hell. I'm expecting Sesko to also come up with a similar goal across the season sometime. But that Harland goal was so good, Like that is Amogh: There you go. Ronaq: pure center forward play. That is exactly what you want your center forward Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: to do. and just eyeing down the defenders nasty after that. Loved Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: it. Nathan: Yeah Amogh: Yeah. Nathan: dude. Mukesh: But it's also because he's smiling. He's not angry. He's just laughing at him. that is that. Do we... Ronaq: Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's like, Amogh: I mean, I don't think, Nathan: Like... Amogh: if you're Erling Haaland, if you're Erling Haaland, I don't think you Nathan: DICK! Ronaq: it's humiliating. Amogh: can get angry. Because you're not, Nathan: as well so true. Amogh: it is physically impossible for somebody to take you down as proven, right? He enjoys it. Yeah. Ronaq: Yeah. And I think he enjoys this. think he feeds off of this that, okay, someone's actually trying to, you know, shove me. Okay, let's fucking get this on now. Amogh: Yeah. Mukesh: No, I Amogh: Yeah. Mukesh: think it's after he's headed also that guy was yanking his... Like the t-shirt was still being held back. It's not like, okay, there was a foul that was attempted at somewhere like beyond the D or near the line. And then he escaped and he ran. I'm like, bro, the goal is over. And that guy still didn't have foul him. That was incredible at that time. Yeah. Ronaq: Hehehehehe Nathan: Hehehehehe! Amogh: He really wanted his shirt. Like shirt swap post Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: game he really wanted. He Ronaq: you Amogh: wanted because I know there's going to be lots of demand for your shirt. But, so here's something interesting that Jamie Carragher said on a podcast I was listening to recently. Jamie Carragher said this about playing against Didier Drogba. And I feel like it's similar to this Haaland situation, right? And this is for all the Premier League defenders who have games coming up against Erling Haaland and who are listening to this because we know you are. Why wouldn't you? Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: What Carragher said about Drogba was really good. said that DDR Drogba, phenomenal player, but he would have bad days. He would have days when he was absolutely doing nothing. And when that happened, like all you had to do as a defender was just be nice to him. Just keep quiet. Ronaq: Yeah, keep quiet and yeah. Amogh: Talk to him. Ask him about life, know, how's the family, how's he settling in in London. You know, just general Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: stuff. You know, this, that and the other. Don't fucking poke the bear. Don't wind him up because the minute you wind him up and he's having a bad game, he will end up having a great game. He will fuck you up. So, Ronaq: Yeah. Yeah. Amogh: I feel like defenders now also need to keep that in mind when you're dealing with Harlan. Why? Why would you do that? Don't do that Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: shit. Ronaq: Yeah. And like it's. Mukesh: You think this is solution is to be like, hey, how's your father, He's good? How's Alfie? He's good? Amogh: I feel like Erling Harland Nathan: hehe Amogh: also knows he is very bad, is an asshole. I think Erling Harland also knows his father is an asshole. yeah, that's just conjecture at this point. Right, let's talk about Forest 0 Spurs 0 as we head towards the wrapping up this episode. the first time since 1974-75 Spurs have failed to score in their opening three league matches. Zero shots on target in this game. Ronaq: In this game, yeah. Yeah. Nathan: Wow. Amogh: I mean, that's what you get for getting Mikhailo Mudrik on loan. Ronaq: I mean that... Nathan: Do you know how many players have they signed in total? Ronaq: a lot. A Amogh: a lot. Ronaq: lot. And all good players like on the face of Nathan: thus thus at least Mukesh: Andrew Robertson being one of them. Ronaq: it. Nathan: thus not at least minimum. Ronaq: Yeah, maybe 7, 8. Nathan: of rocks how so Ronaq: But all 7, 8 are really good players. Nathan: Yeah. Ronaq: They are scored stacking players but they decent players. You expected them to do well man. At least better than 0 goals over 270 minutes. That's fucking ridiculous. Nathan: Hmm? Yeah dude, Robo, Fernandez... Dude, Tonali they got, come on. Ronaq: I mean, they've... Nathan: And this James Madison is still injured. he's there. Ronaq: You Amogh: He is always injured. Ronaq: know like in the first game, in the first game when they Nathan: Astro Ronaq: didn't score we were like okay they've only gotten you know defense and midfield reinforcements. You know maybe Hoega Aage or whatever. Then they Amogh: Yeah. Yeah. Ronaq: f**king got Savino and Marmoosh. And now they've gotten Mudrik also. But no is to F**k all team. I what the hell are they doing. Nathan: See now wait wait wait now they are playing Liverpool in Karabagh Cup they will score their first goal watch Watch You have heard it here Ronaq: That I'm sure of. Amogh: That we are very sure of. Nathan: You have heard it here first Look, clip it I was expecting a frimpong Jeremy frimpong Here comes Amogh: No, that is... Mukesh: But it'll be a Jeremy Jacket own goal. That's the tragedy. That's the tragedy that both teams harami. Both teams. Nathan: yellow card Watch Just watch Mukesh: yeah, I know what looks sorry, in the back. Nathan: Hey, by the way, Aravo on ride back was nice, by the way. Ronaq: Yeah. Mukesh: No, but can I tell you RMO looks like... Like I'm expecting the red card. Like, you know, I'm just like... Ronaq: Aaravoh looks Nathan: Yeah, it's like he wants it. Yeah. Ronaq: like he's always panicking. I Mukesh: Yeah. Ronaq: think he's always panicking like, fuck, fuck, fuck, just go into the tackle. Nathan: What do I do? Mukesh: He is the most love and ask player since love and ask. Nathan: YAAA! YES! Mukesh: Like there's a sense of you're only 75 minutes away from the next yellow. Like, you know, probably Amogh: Yeah. Nathan: Hahaha Mukesh: 90 minutes away from the next red. It's just that sort of confidence that he inspires in you. Nathan: Hmm. Amogh: Yeah, I mean. Ronaq: Damn, Lauren, what a nice shout. Nathan: Dude but I think Mukesh what do you think? you think or did you if you watch the last game I think he did a pretty good job right? Okay, okay it was also again it's... But okay Mukesh: He did really well, but I don't know, I just get like... Nathan: do you see him playing right back more often? Like for bigger games? Mukesh: Yes, I do. I do see him getting there. I'm sure Subhashla has been promised that once Nathan: Yeah Mukesh: Aravore gets into the position, he'll be back to playing in his... Ronaq: No, and like, you know, when this arao signing was happening, it was that he's a cover for centre back and at right back. It was always in the conversations. So yeah, I can definitely see him there. Sorry, right back only. Right back. Mukesh: Exactly. Nathan: Yeah. Hmm. Left night thought no cannot left right. So yeah, I got center and left. Okay. So Mukesh: home. Nathan: that means we have that Giovanni Leone guy and Mario Gomez. Sorry, Joe Gomez. No, he gave Ronaq: Yeah. Nathan: the center back me. Okay. Not bad. Ronaq: and Jeremy Jack here. Nathan: Huh? And Jackie be here, too. I'm just thinking, are we injured if someone gets injured? So... Hmm... Mukesh: You and I have to go. Nathan: Bro! Yeah! Vataru Ronaq: Hehehe. Nathan: Endo! How can you forget? Brother! The Japanese Samurai! Yeah! He'll cover, bro! He's like a warrior Mukesh: Yeah. Ronaq: Mean man. Mukesh: close Saturday. Nathan: only, I love Endo, Place for the badge! Ronaq: All Japanese players are like, Nathan: Yeah. Ronaq: you know, do you see Japan in the World Cup? I was really hoping them to go further, I was really hoping them to go further. Fucking brilliant football. No, no, Belgium. Nathan: I felt so bad when they lost man I was like Who they lost to? Brazil no? Brazil no? They lost no no Belgium I think I don't remember I don't know Ronaq: Belgium, na? I think it was Belgium. Nathan: whatever Yeah, I know it's just sad, dude. I was like, shit. Ronaq: no man you are right it was Brazil. It was Brazil. Yeah yeah yeah. Nathan: Brazil, I think this guy scored a 2-1 winner. I don't remember. Ronaq: It was Brazil. Martinelli, Gabriel Martinelli with a winner. 96th minute. Heartbreaking. For Japan. Nathan: Martin Ali yes hmm yeah dude that was so sad Amogh: Can we, sorry, just going back to Spurs, can we talk about Mikhailo Mudrik who made his first competitive appearance in football 645 days after his doping suspension. 645 days guys, that is a man who has not rather played competitive football since approximately the invention of Chad GPT-4. that if we had to kind of compare it to actual real life instances this is the man who they've got in their attack. How are they going to get goods? How? Nahi hone wade hai. Ronaq: And I mean, you know, like we've spoken about deserve being a very brash coach who can kind of say things that might rub some people the wrong way. And, you know, can easily cause some unrest in the in the trial, whatever the squad. And I mean, just if the results don't Mukesh: you Ronaq: improve for them, if the results don't improve for them, you can really see shit going down at Spurs. Amogh: I feel like Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: with Desirve as the manager, think his quote this time around also is absolutely box office. He said that you can't, let me just pull up the quote here. He says, Nathan: That's Amogh: he said, you can't just build the team with names like in football manager, buddy. You have spent 300 million. You have bought so many players. Football manager is what everybody is going to compare this to. There is no other Ronaq: Quite literally. Amogh: comparison. Like I swear right now if I started a football manager save with this per squad I would win the league. I would win it. I would win the league. Ronaq: Yeah, I mean, it's a good squad. I would definitely play with Spurs in FIFA, yeah, it's I don't know what they're going to do. I think some I think eventually they will freaking get a goal at least obviously. I don't know if they'll get a win or what. Amogh: I feel, I feel Dazerby is going to be the first manager to be sacked. Ronaq: Quite it might very well be but you know also Mukesh: Without a goal? Without a goals scored? Amogh: Without a goal scored maybe. Ronaq: you know we are talking about about this game Nathan: dude that would be so hilarious. Ronaq: we are talking only about spurs being bad but let's also you know spend a minute on Nottingham Forest because obviously Oliver Glasner there and the Glasner teams are known to be defensively very astute his palace team was so good defensively obviously Mark Gahey was a stalwart in Palace for Oliver Glasner so Thoughts on that anyone for Nottingham Forest? Amogh: I think he's a fantastic manager for Forest. The only problem with Forest is Marinakis. The owner is absolutely batshit. So if he speaks to Glasner and he lets Glasner do his thing, then Forest can actually become a very, very potent mid-table Europa Conference league pushing side consistently. because we know that Glasner can do that and Forrest already have a platform because they have been in Europe recently, they've had a couple of good seasons in the Premier League. But then with the appointments of Nuno and everything, it just went a little haywire. I think now under Glasner again, they've kind of, it seems to me at least like they've kind of got the train back on the tracks. I just hope that Marinakis keeps his head. Ronaq: And you know, like as opposed to Glasnost time at Palace, his main complaint with the board was that they were not signing the players and they were letting the main players go. I don't think he's going to have the same issues with Maranakis because he's Maranakis is a very, he's a weird owner. Like he'll take rash decisions, but he'll also back the manager. He's like in the first season up, he bought like 22 players into Nottingham forest. So I think he's not shy making transfers or spending money into the team and I Glasner will do good. Yeah. Yeah. Amogh: no, shy is definitely not. Shy is not the word I would associate with Evangelos Marinakis at all. I mean, all Nathan: Hehehehe Amogh: I'm saying is he does tend to back managers but then he also hires managers like Ange Postocoglu. Why? Because they're both Greek. Like, so, you know, Nathan: Yeah! Amogh: there is a little bit of eccentricity... eccentricity... eccentricity... You're With Marinakis... as well. Mukesh: Yeah. Ronaq: Yeah Amogh: So, you know, it is, it is anybody's guess. Right, on that note, it is time to end this episode. Thank you so much everybody for listening to the Conflag.
