Blume Day 2026 is a wrap!
On 10th February, Karthik Reddy took the stage to walk us through 15 years of Blume.
When we started in 2011, there was no playbook for a homegrown fund. The early years meant raising from LPs still warming up to the asset class, operating in markets where "venture capital" wasn't yet dinner-table vocabulary, and navigating an ecosystem whose infrastructure — legal frameworks, secondary markets, talent pipelines — was being built in real time.
All we had was a conviction that Indian founders could build gigantic, generational companies and deserved patient, homegrown capital to do it.
Five funds, hundreds of founders, and more than $800M in AUM later, that conviction has compounded.
But something bigger has shifted.
The ambition of Indian founders today looks nothing like it did 15 years ago. They're sitting down on day one and mapping out multi-billion dollar businesses. The orbits they're operating in, the scale they're building for, the markets they're chasing, the teams they're assembling, have fundamentally shifted.
That's the idea behind this year's Blume Day theme: The Orbits, They're a Shiftin'.
Like electrons making a quantum leap, these orbit shifts are all-or-nothing, requiring a perfect burst of founder ambition, team execution, and market scale to reach the next level. And if the last 15 years are any indication, India is just getting started.
