What better way to get to know our guest here on The Taking Chances podcast than a round of snappy and energising Quick Takes.
[00:00:00] What better way to get to know our guests here on the Taking Chances podcast than around
[00:00:06] of snapping and energizing quick takes on what they take is on just about anything and everything.
[00:00:12] And before we get started, just a reminder to not miss out on hearing the main episode
[00:00:17] as well.
[00:00:18] So here we go.
[00:00:19] What is your dream job?
[00:00:20] What was your dream job as a kid?
[00:00:22] What will you like trying to manifest then?
[00:00:24] Dream job as a kid.
[00:00:25] Again I think I was going to be a storyteller.
[00:00:27] I didn't know how, but I just wanted to tell stories in some way or the other.
[00:00:31] I think it was always something related to film.
[00:00:33] To use program of the youth and advocacy and everything that you're doing.
[00:00:37] So what is your one cause that you would really like to pursue all through?
[00:00:41] I think positive masculinity.
[00:00:42] This is one of the most urgent conversations to be had as a country.
[00:00:47] You know we think I think we need more men to embrace the positive and vulnerable aspects
[00:00:53] of their own masculinity.
[00:00:54] I think we are going to deep down hole if we don't treat this urgent.
[00:00:58] So you've met many celebs, you know through your show and so on.
[00:01:02] You know personally which is that one celeb that is surprised.
[00:01:06] This may be the recent advice but I would say Karan Johan, I was not expecting Karan to
[00:01:12] open up in the way he did in a conversation.
[00:01:15] I was expecting a lot of the other people who came in to be very authentic.
[00:01:19] I assumed Karan is going to give a bunch of really good answers and really proper answers
[00:01:25] and also entertaining answers.
[00:01:27] I did not think that he's going to be so financial vulnerable about different aspects
[00:01:31] of his sexuality, about being bullied growing up, struggling to find love.
[00:01:37] You know these are things that I was quite amazed that someone at his level is so comfortable
[00:01:42] in having that conversation.
[00:01:43] And you know you spoke so much about male stereotypes which is the one that annoys you the most.
[00:01:48] Men need to always have or be you know in a place of position of power.
[00:01:55] I just kind of resent power.
[00:01:57] I literally like I did five years of CEO of you and then I've just been like no, I don't
[00:02:01] want it.
[00:02:02] Please like I've gotten a young person to be the CEO.
[00:02:04] I find it actually possibly the most restrictive thing that you can do to a man and say hey
[00:02:10] you know what be the man of the house.
[00:02:11] Hey you know what be the you know leader of the company be the leader of the state because
[00:02:16] the moment you do that, you are completely killing any of the other dreams and hopes
[00:02:21] and aspirations that this person can have and just limiting this person to just doing things
[00:02:25] that are important from a place of power.
[00:02:28] So I actually just like I hate this idea that men should always you know accumulate or
[00:02:33] reside or lead or be powerful.
[00:02:36] And the final one since you work with Gen Z say something cool to us.
[00:02:41] Blow our mind with something.
[00:02:43] I just want to say that like I've really become a drip check person because of the Gen Z.
[00:02:53] I have now suddenly been the person who is fully into sneakers making sure that with
[00:02:59] every the different clothes that I wear, there is a sneaker than matches so my drip check
[00:03:04] is extremely important to me now on a daily basis and it is because very gen Z who just
[00:03:10] carry the you know are just really into sneakers and have now forced me to spend too much
[00:03:15] money on buying too many kicks.
[00:03:19] Hope you enjoyed the quick takes.
[00:03:21] See you soon with more conversations on our podcast taking chances.
