On the banks of the Saraswati river at the foothills of the Himalayas, Nahusha lived in the form of a huge snake in the forest and ate the animals and humans that came near him. Due to the curse that is supposed to last for a thousand years, Nahusha had entered the Dwapar Yuga in his snake form.
