[00:00:00] Namaskar, welcome to another episode of editorial. You see when we were fighting Pakistan when Operation Sindhur was underway a lot of international defense experts our own defense experts they said that we are not fighting Pakistan alone we are fighting a combination of Pakistan and China. Pakistan was the face China was backing Pakistan.
[00:00:29] A lot of experts say that Pakistan is not as dangerous for India as China is. China is a bigger and more dangerous enemy for India. The question that I asked tonight is are we even handling the Chinese problem well in terms of both external affairs and in terms of defense. Are we handling China's problem well let's get right into the show.
[00:00:59] Now just imagine a scene. You have the next door neighbor who every day morning you pay money to you buy from products and services from that next door neighbor pay him money make him richer.
[00:01:27] And in the night this man comes out of your door and abuses you throw stones at your house. This is what happens every day. The next day morning you go back you pay this neighbor and make this neighbor more richer. So next day he buys not stones but he buys beer bottles to throw it on your residence.
[00:01:50] Then the next day again you pay you pay you pay you pay you pay you pay more money and possibly the third day he buys small bombs and throws it in your home. So who is actually helping him to attack you? You are helping him to attack you.
[00:02:13] Something similar is happening between us and China. Like I told you before China has been covertly why today overtly helping Pakistan to attack India. They have been providing them with arms, ammunition, aircrafts to attack India. Don't we know it? Of course we know it.
[00:02:38] But you know what we are doing? What we are doing is we have a trade deficit. We have a trade deficit of 99.2 billion dollars with China. Which means we are selling less but buying more from China. India exports 14.25 billion to China in 2024-2025.
[00:03:05] It is a 14.4% dip from 16.66 billion the previous financial year 2023-2024. So what we sell to China they have reduced purchasing from us. They reduced purchasing from us. So from 16.66 we fell to 14.25. So they are playing it very wise.
[00:03:28] They are not helping us grow. They are not economically empowering us. They are not doing trade with us. They are not buying from us. But you know what we are doing? We are importing 113.45 billion dollars. 113. Exporting 14.25 billion dollars. Importing 2024-2025.
[00:03:56] We have gone up by 11.5% from 2023-2024 where we had imported 101.73 billion dollars. Look at the figures. Both these figures in front of you. This is what we import. This is what we export in 2024-2025. This is what we imported and this is what we exported in 2023-2024. We have increased our imports which means we have given more money to China.
[00:04:26] And China has reduced their imports from us which means they are very cautious to give us money. This is our relationship with China. This is how China is treating us. And this is how we are treating China in return. You see all this nationalist talk, all this talk about all this talk only is limited to certain countries.
[00:04:56] But when it comes to China, we somehow fail. We somehow fail to A. Have a direct talk with China. Have a direct negotiation with China. Get China on a negotiating table. Discuss terms with them. Have a straight relationship with China. We could never do that.
[00:05:20] And number 2, somewhere down the line, when it comes to trade, we have always been very benevolent with China. Why? Why is that? We pay our enemy to fight us. I will give you a few examples. You see, China had the first trilateral meeting between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
[00:05:51] If you have been following our channel, we have been constantly telling you that China is going to use this global confusion that is happening between Israel, Iran, Palestine, between Russia, Ukraine. This global confusion China is going to use against us. We have been telling you that China is definitely going to use Bangladesh and Pakistan, both these countries against us to create mischief in our border. Both East and West.
[00:06:21] We have been telling you. And that's exactly what happened today. China held their first trilateral meeting between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Why is China interested so much in Pakistan and Bangladesh? It is not for any trilateral benefit. It is not for any trade benefit. They are interested because what they are trying to do is they are trying to empower Bangladesh and Pakistan more. Why are they trying to empower Bangladesh and Pakistan more?
[00:06:49] So that Bangladesh and Pakistan can harm India, can cause harm to India. This is a strategic move. Like I said, we have been talking about this for the last two months. Watch our editorials. Watch our programs. Watch our editorials. And I am sure a lot of other people also have been saying this, but the fact remains. You see, we know all of this. It is not that these are rocket science. It is not that you are hearing this for the first time.
[00:07:17] It is not that this is like something that we are all surprised. It is not. We know all this. But yet, somehow, somewhere and in some form or another, we are not able to stop China. So all this 56 inches and all this bravado is limited to some situations. Somehow, when it comes to China, all of this somehow fades away.
[00:07:46] Now, I am not saying therefore, we act stupid like what Zelensky did against Russia. Go and attack a country that is more powerful than you and then kind of show off and say that, listen, you know, we can fight and we are this great. No, no, no. Like killing lakhs and lakhs of their own citizens. I am not saying that. I am not saying therefore, go and have a military showdown with China. We cannot do that and we don't want to do that and a military showdown, like I said, is never an option. It's never an option.
[00:08:15] But somewhere down the line, if you are using somebody as a vendor, if you are using or you are forced to buy products from a particular country, at least work out terms with that particular country. Doesn't corporates do that? If a corporate is going to buy products from a particular vendor and the corporate knows that this particular vendor could in the future be a competitor to that particular company itself.
[00:08:44] What normally a company does is they have a vendor relationship. They work out terms with the vendors. End of the day trade is something that nobody says no to. Don't you hear Trump every day? Why are we not working terms with China? Let us use a little of our intelligence rather than bravado. Let us keep jingoism on the side and talk practical.
[00:09:16] Why can't we have dialogue with China? Why can't we be straight with China and say, listen, this is the term, this is the money we are giving you and either you decide that you want to fight with us constantly and we will continue doing that or let's come to a negotiating table. We have the money. We are a fast growing economy. You are a fast growing economy. Let's focus on economy. Let's work on a common platform. Let's come to a common term.
[00:09:45] Once you have that, you have a relationship going. Why is that we, when it comes to India, we always seem to have a problem. We seem to have a problem with every neighbour of ours. And China seems to be building bridges with every possible neighbour that India has. Are we not seeing a strategy? Are we not seeing through all this? A common man like me can see through it.
[00:10:13] I am sure top foreign experts and external affairs ministry diplomats and bureaucrats and all of that can see this. Why aren't they acting? Why aren't they acting? Why is the Prime Minister of India focusing all over the world, all over the world except for focusing on our own neighbour, our own neighbouring countries, which are, which is
[00:10:40] possibly the most important relationships that we should be having currently, our neighbours. Why is there no policy of neighbours first? They have, I understand, but nothing has happened with that. Has it? Has it? You know why I say that our foreign policies as far as China is concerned has flawed?
[00:11:09] Is because see, we always knew that China was our adversary. We always knew that China possibly was more dangerous for us than any other country in the world. We always knew this and I am not talking about now, I am talking about last whatever, 70 years. We knew this. Think about it. Have we done anything to ensure that we don't pay China to come and attack us or come
[00:11:38] and help our enemies, supply arms and ammunition to Pakistan to fight us? Have we done anything? Has there been any programme? Has there been any strategy in the last 70 years that we adopted saying that fine, we know that China is a problem. We know that China is a problem. Therefore, in the next 10 years, we will ensure that our dependence on Chinese product will be zero so that we don't pay a rupee to China. Have we done that?
[00:12:06] Isn't that an absolute flawed strategy? Or a lack of a strategy? That one doesn't have a strategy to combat China and China's economy and China's economic growth and our dependence on China for their products. Isn't that lack of strategy? And to think of it, we have not thought of it for the last 75 years. Isn't that weird?
[00:12:35] You see, somewhere down the line, we look helpless. We have not thought of it for the last 70 years. We have not thought of it for the last 70 years. But we still give them 99.2 billion dollars more than what they give us. I find this strange. You see, China, Pakistan, Afghanistan also had a trilateral meeting. Like I told you two minutes back, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh had a trilateral meeting.
[00:13:04] In May, China, Pakistan, Afghanistan also had it. Another point I wanted to tell you is, you know, we've offered Tesla license to come and sell their cars in India. Possibly under whatever US pressure or then when we offered Elon Musk was very close to Trump. Then he got katti with Trump. Now, I don't know whether he's katti or batti with Trump. That one doesn't know. Trump also doesn't know. We also don't know.
[00:13:31] But the fact remains that Tesla has been given permission to come and sell cars. The general understanding by a lot of market expert is that Tesla is going to import Tesla cars from China. That is Chinese made Tesla car. And that is what they're going to launch in India. This 99 point whatever billion dollars is going to increase. It's going to increase.
[00:13:59] We are going to have now more Chinese cars in India. You see, the point is do trade. It is very good. Do trade. But then when you are doing trade, maintain relationships. Morning trade and evening boxing match doesn't work. Doesn't work.
[00:14:21] So the fact remains that somewhere down the line, like I started my editorial, I want to conclude by saying that Chinese for us, they are more dangerous than even Pakistan. We need to be wary of China. China has been going out of their way to create problems for India. Unfortunately, we are funding China to create problems for us.
[00:14:51] We are paying the money to China to literally, literally to create problems for us. Like I also say, trade is not bad. But if you want to do trade, then you work your terms out. Trade works on terms. Work your terms out with China. Ensure that we don't get the raw end of the stick. India doesn't get the raw end of the stick.
[00:15:19] That's the point I wanted to make till I see you next time. That's tomorrow. That's sorry. That's Monday at 10. Namaskar.
