[00:00:06] Hello Sunshine and how has your week been?
[00:00:12] We all go through some challenges of the other, don't we?
[00:00:15] We all have had to overcome obstacles at some point in our life.
[00:00:19] Probably some of us are still working on those right now.
[00:00:23] But you know what's important through it all is that one needs to have the right attitude
[00:00:28] to cope and deal with it.
[00:00:30] The person with a positive attitude towards obstacles always becomes more successful
[00:00:38] and always comes out stronger.
[00:00:40] And in contrary, the person with a negative attitude becomes more depressed, weak and unhappy.
[00:00:50] And the secret to our attitude towards obstacles is sometimes we need to learn to accept it as
[00:00:57] a lesson from life and try to learn something from it.
[00:01:01] Instead of just blaming everyone around and you know building up anger and resentment and frustration inside of us,
[00:01:10] this quote is a beautiful reminder to each one of us.
[00:01:14] Life gives us challenges to make us stronger, to make us grow and develop so that one day we could spread our wings and fly.
[00:01:23] So I want to share this beautiful story with all of you.
[00:01:27] One day a small gap appeared in the cocoon through which the butterfly had to appear.
[00:01:34] A boy who was accidentally passing by stopped and watched how the butterfly was trying to get out of the cocoon.
[00:01:41] It took a lot of time.
[00:01:43] The butterfly was trying very hard and the gap was as little as before.
[00:01:48] It seemed that the power would leave the butterflies soon.
[00:01:51] So the boy decided to help the butterfly.
[00:01:54] He took a pen knife and cut the cocoon.
[00:01:57] The butterfly immediately got out and its body was weak and feeble and the wings were barely moving.
[00:02:04] The boy continued to watch the butterfly thinking that now its wings would spread and it would fly.
[00:02:11] However, that did not happen.
[00:02:14] The rest of its life the butterfly had to drag its weak body and wings that weren't spread.
[00:02:19] It was unable to fly because the boy did not realize that an effort to enter through the narrow gap of the cocoon was necessary for the butterfly
[00:02:29] so that the life giving fluid would move from the body to the butterfly's wings and that the butterfly could fly.
[00:02:38] Life forced the butterfly to leave its shell hardly so that it would become more stronger and would be able to grow and develop.
[00:02:46] And this is exactly what we need to remember.
[00:02:48] If we are allowed to live without meeting any sort of difficulties or challenges, life would be teaching us nothing really
[00:02:57] because it's these challenges that help us learn lessons in life and make us stronger.
[00:03:05] We have all either met or read about people who managed to get out of tough situations
[00:03:09] and what makes them different?
[00:03:13] It's their mindset.
[00:03:14] They believe in themselves.
[00:03:16] It's their desire to do something better.
[00:03:19] We could all sit at home and there is a challenge right in front of us and start feeling sorry for ourselves.
[00:03:24] You know when we are sick or we lose a job or we experience something that's terrible, it's okay to feel sad.
[00:03:32] It's okay to feel overwhelmed but it's never okay to give up.
[00:03:36] It's never okay to let that voice in our head tell us that we can't do something.
[00:03:40] It's important in those moments to not let fear stop us from doing what we want.
[00:03:46] There are so many examples.
[00:03:48] For example, Malala Yusuf Zayi.
[00:03:50] Malala is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize winner.
[00:03:57] She survived an assassination attempt by the Taliban and went on to become a global advocate for education and women's rights.
[00:04:05] Bethany Hamilton, a professional surfer who lost her left arm in a shark attack at the age of 13.
[00:04:12] But she didn't let that tragedy hold her back and went on to become one of the most successful surfers in the world.
[00:04:19] J.K. Rowling was a single mother living on welfare when she wrote the first Harry Potter book.
[00:04:25] She faced numerous rejections before finally getting published but she never gave up on her dream.
[00:04:31] These are just a few examples of the many inspiring stories of individuals who have turned tragedy into triumph.
[00:04:40] And all of these examples and stories just remind us that no matter what challenges we face,
[00:04:46] we have the strength and the resilience to overcome them.
[00:04:51] And so I'm going to leave you with this beautiful thought.
[00:04:54] Believe in yourself and all that you are.
[00:04:57] Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.
[00:05:03] Here's to each one of us reminding ourselves of our strength and our resilience
[00:05:08] and knowing that we have it in us to overcome any challenge.
[00:05:13] Have a great week everyone and we will speak to you again next week.
[00:05:17] Take good care of yourselves. Bye for now.
