[00:00:06] Hello everyone, I am Kosh Sonal Chauhan and I am really excited to have you here in my
[00:00:11] today's episode of Happiness Painting Podcast.
[00:00:14] Today I want you to take you to the special journey, a journey into the heart of one
[00:00:21] of the most beloved and iconic figures in Indian culture that is Lord Ganesha.
[00:00:28] Whether you see his images in the home, temples or even at your computer or laptop wallpaper,
[00:00:36] Lord Ganesha stands as a remover of obstacles, a beacon of hope and the symbol of new beginnings.
[00:00:44] But have you ever stopped to think about what we can learn from his life,
[00:00:50] his stories and how we can apply that, apply these lessons to our own lives.
[00:00:57] You see Lord Ganesha's stories aren't just about ancient mythology or just a symbol of festivals.
[00:01:06] They carry a deep wisdom.
[00:01:08] His story is a symbol which is having a meaning that can inspire or guide us in our life.
[00:01:16] Today I am going to dive into these stories.
[00:01:19] I will also uncover the life lessons within them and explore how we can bring that wisdom into our
[00:01:26] everyday's life.
[00:01:29] Let's start from the beginning. Lord Ganesha's unique birth.
[00:01:33] We all know the story Ganesha was created by the Goddess Parvati.
[00:01:39] From the dust of her own body, she crafted him out of the devotion and love and this is something
[00:01:46] that we too can reflect upon in our own lives.
[00:01:51] Ganesha was born from the most ordinary thing that is dust.
[00:01:55] This speaks volumes about how greatness doesn't always come as a grand form.
[00:02:03] Form. We don't need to wait for the perfect conditions or the perfect resources to start
[00:02:12] something great. We can create wonders just like Goddess Parvati created Ganesha.
[00:02:20] Whether you are starting a new project or a new phase of your life or even just a small task,
[00:02:27] remind yourself that the beginning don't have to be perfect to lead to something extraordinary.
[00:02:34] It's a dedication, the love and the intention behind your actions that truly count.
[00:02:40] Now let's talk about the elephant head story. When Lord Shiva mistakenly beheaded young Ganesha
[00:02:49] unaware that he was a Parvati's son, he had to make amends and bring him back to the
[00:02:55] life with the elephant's head. This transformation teaches us one of the most powerful lesson
[00:03:03] Resilience through change. Life can be unpredictable, sometimes it throws unexpected challenges at us.
[00:03:12] Things we never saw coming but what Lord Ganesha shows us is that even after such a dramatic life
[00:03:19] altering event it's not the end. In fact sometimes these unexpected changes can lead
[00:03:26] to even greater wisdom. Ganesha's elephant head with his large ears symbolizes the need to listen
[00:03:35] more, to be patient and to be thoughtful. How often do we rush through life without listening
[00:03:42] to others or to ourselves or to the lessons around us? In today's fast-paced world where
[00:03:51] we are always on the go pausing to listen can be a game changer whether it's listening to your family,
[00:03:59] your team at work, your home or even listening to your own intuitions is the skill that brings
[00:04:06] clarity and connection. When we start to truly listen we understand more, we react less
[00:04:13] impulsively and we open ourselves to the greater possibilities. One of my favorite
[00:04:20] lesson from the Ganesha story is his broken tusk. There's a beautiful story where Lord Ganesha
[00:04:28] breaks off one of his tusks to continue writing the great epic Mahabharat. Instead of stopping
[00:04:37] when his pen was broken he makes this adjustment. This story speaks to our ability to adapt,
[00:04:45] to innovate and keep going even when things don't go as planned. How many times have we
[00:04:52] faced situations where things just don't seem to go right? Maybe it's your project at work or
[00:04:59] personal goal we are trying to achieve or your family relationships but obstacles keep coming.
[00:05:07] In those moments instead of feeling defeated we can take a page from Ganesha's story. We may
[00:05:14] not have everything we want or need but we can still find a way forward with what we have right now.
[00:05:22] The broken tusk is a reminder that imperfections is not a setback, it's an opportunity for
[00:05:29] creativity and resilience. And of course we cannot talk about Ganesha's without mentioning his
[00:05:37] signature belly. His round big belly symbolizes containment and ability to digest all the
[00:05:45] life's experiences whether it is a good or bad. We often find ourselves chasing happiness,
[00:05:52] success or external validation but Lord Ganesha reminds us to be content,
[00:05:59] to accept life as it comes and find joy and simplicity. We don't need more to be happy,
[00:06:05] we need to be more present and grateful for what we already have.
[00:06:12] Speaking of sweetness let's not forget about Lord Ganesha's love for modaks. The sweet
[00:06:19] dumpling he often pictured with this symbolizes the fruit of hard work, devotion and patience.
[00:06:28] In our lives when we are committed to our goals we too will taste the sweetness of success
[00:06:35] but it's very important to remember that like making modaks it takes its own time, effort and care.
[00:06:44] There is a no short-curse only the consistent and the loving approach to our work,
[00:06:50] relationships and dreams. Now let's touch upon the Ganesha's choice of vehicle.
[00:06:56] A tiny mouse. It seems like a mismatch doesn't it? A mighty god riding a small mouse but here
[00:07:07] is here lies one of the deepest lesson in it that is humility no matter how powerful we become,
[00:07:15] how much we achieve humility keeps us grounded. The mouse represents our ego small but capable
[00:07:22] of causing great chaos if left unchecked. Ganesha shows us that to truly succeed we must not let
[00:07:32] our ego control us. True wisdom and power come from balancing confidence with humility. The mouse
[00:07:40] also reminds us that nothing is too small or insignificant. In our lives sometimes it's
[00:07:47] smallest steps the most humble actions that makes the biggest impact.
[00:07:54] So what do all these stories tell us? What can we take away from life of Lord Ganesha? Ganesha's
[00:08:05] entire life is a reflection of how we can navigate our own lives with grace, resilience,
[00:08:12] wisdom and joy. Whether it's turning challenges into opportunities,
[00:08:18] finding contentment in the present or leading with humility. His lessons are as relevant today
[00:08:25] as they were centuries ago. As we go through our own lives with its many ups and downs we can look
[00:08:34] to Ganesha's as a reminder that no obstacle is too great. No beginning is too small or no
[00:08:42] setback is too severe for us to overcome. It's all about how we approach these situations,
[00:08:49] how we choose to rise to adapt or to find a joy even in the mid of biggest challenges.
[00:09:00] Now I want to leave you with these thoughts. What if we approached every obstacle in life
[00:09:07] as Ganesha would? What if instead of seeing challenges as road blockers or the setbacks
[00:09:14] we saw them as an opportunity for growth or the opportunity to learn something new?
[00:09:21] What if we learn to listen more, to be more patient or to let go of perfection or to
[00:09:27] embrace the beauty of the journey. These are the kinds of lessons that I love exploring in
[00:09:34] more depth in my coaching sessions. If you are someone who is looking to apply these kind of
