[00:01:20] Israel slammed as outrageous a United Nations inquiry which concluded it was deliberately seeking to destroy the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip,
[00:01:28] accusing the investigators of bias.
[00:01:30] The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Thursday released a report in which it found
[00:01:34] Israel perpetrated a consorted policy to destroy Gaza's healthcare system.
[00:01:39] It said the country was committing war crimes and the crime against humanity of extermination
[00:01:43] with relentless and deliberate attacks on medical personnel and facilities.
[00:01:46] In a statement from its mission in Geneva, Israel on Friday firmly rejected the allegations and said the report was another blatant attempt
[00:01:53] by the Commission of Inquiry to delegitimize the very existence of the State of Israel
[00:01:58] and obstruct its right to protect its population while covering up the crimes of terrorist organizations.
[00:02:04] Israel has claimed that Palestinian armed group Hamas uses hospitals for military purposes.
[00:02:09] Israeli forces have repeatedly attacked medical facilities in Gaza with the health sector already overwhelmed with infrastructure destroyed.
[00:02:15] Israel also rejected the report's findings pointing to widespread and systematic abuse of Palestinian prisoners
[00:02:21] amounting to war crimes and crimes against humanity.
[00:02:24] Meanwhile, Israeli forces fired at a watchtower used by UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon on Friday, injuring two, a UN source said.
[00:02:32] The third day in a row, peacekeepers have reported Israeli fire at their positions as Israel wages war in Hezbollah.
[00:02:38] Renewing his call for a ceasefire, Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati said in a strike in the heart of Beirut late on Thursday,
[00:02:45] had killed 22 civilians and wounded another 139.
[00:02:50] Japanese organization Nihon Hidankyo, a grassroots movement of atomic bomb survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki,
[00:02:56] won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday in a warning to countries who have nuclear weapons not to use them.
[00:03:02] Witnesses to the only two nuclear bombs ever to be used in conflict, known in Japan as Hibakusha,
[00:03:07] have dedicated their lives to the struggle for a nuclear-free world.
[00:03:11] The Norwegian Nobel Committee said in its citation that Hibakusha was receiving the Peace Prize for its efforts to achieve a world
[00:03:17] free of nuclear weapons and for demonstrating through witness testimony that nuclear weapons must never be used again.
[00:03:23] It said, the Hibakusha helped the world to describe the indescribable, to think the unthinkable and to somehow grasp the incomprehensible pain and suffering caused by nuclear weapons.
[00:03:33] Next year will mark the 80th anniversary of the dropping of nuclear bombs by the United States on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August of 1945.
[00:03:43] Noel Tata, half-brother of legendary industrialist Leit Radham Tata, will be the new head of Tata Trust,
[00:03:49] a collective of charities that indirectly controls the $165 billion sold to software conglomerate.
[00:03:55] Noel Tata has been appointed as chairman of all the trusts.
[00:03:58] They constitute the Tata Trust and also designated chairman Tata Trust with immediate effect, Tata Trust said in a statement.
[00:04:05] He is already a trustee on the boards of Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust.
[00:04:10] Having functioned mostly under the shadows of his illustrious half-brother, Noel will now have the responsibility of leading the Tata Trust,
[00:04:17] broadly comprising Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Allied Trust and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and Allied Trust,
[00:04:22] that hold a controlling 66% stake in Tata Sons, the holding and promoter firm of Tata Group Companies.
[00:04:29] Noel has been involved with the Tata Group since 1999 and chairs the successful retail arm trend,
[00:04:34] which looks after chains like Westside and Zudio and commands a market capitalization of Rs. 2 lakh crore.
[00:04:40] He is also the chairman of Voltus and Tata International.
[00:04:44] Vowing to introduce a reciprocal tax if elected to power,
[00:04:48] former U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that India imposes the highest tariffs on foreign products,
[00:04:53] but they do it with a smile, he added.
[00:04:55] In a major economic policy speech in Detroit,
[00:04:57] Trump said the most important element of his plan was to make America extraordinarily wealthy again through reciprocity.
[00:05:03] He said America really doesn't charge.
[00:05:05] China will charge us a 200% tariff.
[00:05:08] Brazil is a big charger.
[00:05:09] The biggest charger of all is India, the Republican presidential candidate said in Detroit.
[00:05:14] But he softened the blow by heaping praise on Modi.
[00:05:17] We have a great relationship with India and especially the leader Modi.
[00:05:20] He's a great leader.
[00:05:21] He's brought it together.
[00:05:22] He's done a great job, said Trump.
[00:05:25] The Congress-led UDF opposition on Friday claimed that Kerala Chief Minister Pinar Ivey Jain
[00:05:30] misled everyone by lying that Justice Hema did not want disclosure of her report on sexual harassment
[00:05:34] and abuse faced by women in the film industry.
[00:05:37] Leader of opposition in the Assembly, VD Sadishan, said that Justice Hema in a letter to the government
[00:05:42] had said that when it gives out the report, it should adhere to the guidelines of the Supreme Court.
[00:05:46] The Supreme Court guidelines only say that the victim's identities be not disclosed, he said,
[00:05:51] and added that after the CEM misled everyone, State Culture Minister Sajid Charyan misled
[00:05:55] the Assembly by repeating the lie.
[00:05:58] Sadishan was speaking to deporters after the opposition staged a walkout from the House
[00:06:01] following the Speaker denying permission to a notice moved by UDF MLA KK Rama to adjourn
[00:06:06] the Assembly and discuss the alleged lack of further probe or legal action in connection
[00:06:10] with findings in the report.
[00:06:11] The opposition leader said the notice was moved as Speaker A. N. Shamsir had not allowed
[00:06:15] a question on the issue and had suggested raising the matter by way of a submission or some
[00:06:19] other means.
