[00:00:21] US President-elect Donald Trump has expressed support for tech billionaire Elon Musk amid the ongoing H-1B visa debate, emphasising the need for skilled individuals to contribute to the country.

[00:00:32] Trump stated that America requires competent and smart people to drive its growth and fill the numerous jobs that are expected to emerge.

[00:00:40] Elon Musk recently stirred controversy with the Republican camp by strongly defending the H-1B visa programme,

[00:00:46] Vowing, to take action to ensure its continuation. During his New Year's Eve party, Trump told a reporter that

[00:00:53] the country must focus on attracting talented individuals as it will experience an unprecedented surge in job opportunities.

[00:01:00] The state-owned oil marketing companies announced reductions in the prices of commercial cooking gas

[00:01:06] and aviation turbine fuel on Wednesday. This marks the first price cut for commercial LPG cylinders in six months.

[00:01:13] The reductions, effective immediately, range between Rs 14 and Rs 16 per cylinder. ATF prices have also lowered

[00:01:19] potential leading to reduce airfares. The last revision in commercial LPG prices occurred on December 1st

[00:01:26] with an increase of Rs 16 per cylinder. This reduction offers some financial relief to the hospitality and

[00:01:32] food service industries where commercial LPG is a significant expense. However, OMCs left the domestic LPG prices untouched.

[00:01:41] A 24-year-old man killed his four sisters and mother inside a hotel room in Lucknow on Wednesday,

[00:01:47] the police officer said that he was arrested. The accused, Mohamed Arshad, was arrested shortly after

[00:01:56] the chilling incident which took place in the Bisinaka area of the city came to light, a senior police

[00:02:01] officer said. A purported video surfaced on social media shortly after the shocking incident came to

[00:02:07] light in which Arshad confessed to slitting the wrists and throats of his sisters and mother. He claimed that

[00:02:13] he took the step due to the harassment and oppression of the residents of his locality. He alleged that

[00:02:19] the people of his community have committed unimaginable atrocities on his family members in order to

[00:02:24] snatch away their house. Despite raising their voices, no one ever listened to them, he said.

[00:02:30] The parents of Suchir Balaji, a former employee of OpenAI who was found dead on December 14, have claimed

[00:02:37] that his autopsy revealed signs of struggle including a head injury. The 26-year-old, who had raised

[00:02:43] ethical concerns about OpenAI's operations after leaving the company, was found dead in his San

[00:02:48] Francisco apartment in November. Authorities have ruled his death a suicide. His mother,

[00:02:54] Purnuma Ramrao, expressed doubts about the suicide ruling, highlighting the absence of a note and the

[00:02:58] autopsy findings. The family has urged the FBI to investigate the circumstances of Suchir's death.

[00:03:05] California native Suchir Balaji spent nearly four years as a researcher at OpenAI before resigning in

[00:03:10] August, citing objections to the company's business practices. He accused the AI giant of violating

[00:03:16] US copyright laws and shared his concerns in a report published by the New York Times titled,

[00:03:22] For more OpenAI researchers says, the company broke copyright law.

[00:03:26] The Kerala government will construct two model townships for survivors of the Mundakai

[00:03:30] Churumala landslide, Chief Secretary Sharada Murlidhan announced. The townships will be built at

[00:03:36] Elston Estate and the Numpala Estate. The details were shared during a press conference convened by

[00:03:42] Chief Minister Pindra Vijain to discuss the rehabilitation efforts, where a visual representation

[00:03:46] of the model townships was also showcased. Three committees, supervised by the Chief Minister,

[00:03:52] Chief Secretary and District Collector respectively, will be established to oversee the planning and

[00:03:57] execution of the rehabilitation project. The State Cabinet approved the rehabilitation projects
