For some, home means comfort, family and peace. But for others, home is where they learned to stay quiet, avoid arguments, control their emotions and live carefully around everyone's anger.
This Hindi poem is about growing up in a home where there was more fear than affection, more arguments than conversations, and where four walls existed, but a real sense of home never did.
It's about family problems, childhood trauma, toxic family environments, emotional neglect, difficult childhoods and the feeling of not wanting to go back home.

Sab sukoon mein hote hain, mujhe khushi nahi hoti
Jab ghar jaane ki baat aati hai, koi jaldi nahi hoti
Kaise bataun jisko tum ghar kehte ho, main maan hi nahi paaya ghar usey
Uss bacche ko jab pyar milna chahiye tha, lekin mila toh kya? Bas darr usey
Ladaayi - jhagde, maar peet, apne logo ke beech dekhi hai
Jis maahol se abhi hi log sehem jaayein
Woh cheezein maine bachpan mein dekhi hain
Chaar deewar khadi kar di bas
Ghar kabhi bana nahi paaye
Bacche ko khilaune pakda diye haath mein
Bachpan usey kabhi de hi nahi paaye
Dosto ka parivaar dekha, toh laga, aise kyun nahi hain mere ghar ke log
Yahan toh sab sabki baat sunte hain, baat karte hain
Mere yahan toh, haste bhi nahi hain log
Rishtedaaro se kuch bhi maangna nahi hai
Naachna nahi hai, gaana nahi hai
Itne niyamo se khud hi baandha, phir khud hi shikayat
Kisi se baat hi nahi karta, kuch bataata hi nahi hai
Sehem jaata hoon aaj bhi tezz aawaaz sunn kar
Galti se nal khula kya chodha, shor mach jayega ghar par
Koi tyohaar dhang se mana nahi paaya, jhagde hi jhagde lage rehte hain
Ek saath sab kabhi baith hi nahi sakte, sab ek doosre ko kaatne ke peeche pade rehte hain
Ghar jaane ka mann hi nahi karta
Wahan, sukoon hi nahi milta
Yahan parivaar kehte hain khud ko log
Par ek doosre ko koi pasand hi nahi karta
Shaant ho jaate hain uss ghar ke bacche
Jinke ghar mein har waqt shor hota hai
Kho dete hain bachpan, bachpan mein hi, gunehgaar koi aur hota hai
Sochte hain jo sabke paas hai, woh apne bhi kareeb hota
Kaash hamein bhi makaan ki jagah, ek ghar naseeb hota
