[00:00:05] Welcome, welcome, welcome back listeners. This is Marri Gopi Srinivas Reddy and you are tuned

[00:00:11] into the 11th episode of Vaastu Vibes – Harmonising Spaces. Today we are diving into a fascinating

[00:00:16] topic that bridges the ancient wisdom of Vaastu Shastra with modern corporate success.

[00:00:22] Get ready to explore Tata's Spatial Strategy – Vaastu Meets Commerce.

[00:00:28] Let's start with a quick refresher. Vaastu Shastra, for those who might be new to the concept,

[00:00:33] is an ancient Indian system of architecture and design. It's all about creating harmony

[00:00:39] between nature, the built environment and the people who inhabit it. We can create affluence

[00:00:45] everywhere all the time by applying the principles of Vaastu Shastra.

[00:00:49] Let us learn why the Tata group continues to be so successful more than 150 years after

[00:00:56] it was founded by Jamshedji Tata from this perspective.

[00:00:59] In 1868, Jamshedji Tata established a private trading firm with a capital of Rs 21,000. That

[00:01:08] was the start of the Tata group. In 1874, he founded his first major industrial venture,

[00:01:14] the Central India Spending, Weaving and Manufacturing Company Ltd at Nagpur. This venture is popularly

[00:01:21] referred to as Empress Mills. In 1901, he introduced the Provident Fund scheme for his workers. This

[00:01:27] was the first time ever in India that this concept had been introduced. Roads strengthen the ability

[00:01:33] of a site to generate wealth. The science of Vaastu prescribes that the roads must be spacious

[00:01:38] and full of traffic. Roads act as buffer zones to protect a company from external influences

[00:01:44] and fluctuations in the market and prolong its longevity. The more the number of roads abutting

[00:01:51] a site, the more is the ability of the company in the site to generate wealth and withstand

[00:01:56] harmful market conditions. The corporate headquarters of Tata's Bombay House is a rectangular

[00:02:02] building with roads on four sides. There are rarely such sastric corporate offices in our country.

[00:02:09] Tata Steel Headquarters in Kolkata has roads on three sides. Tata Consultancy Services Ltd,

[00:02:16] originally known as Tata Computer Systems, was established in 1968 by Tata Suns Ltd.

[00:02:23] TCS is headquartered in Mumbai. It is a part of the Tata Group and operates in 150 locations across 46

[00:02:29] countries. The TCS house is their global headquarters. It has roads on the east, north and west. It has a

[00:02:37] favorable street thrust from the north-east. It is the second largest Indian company by market capitalization.

[00:02:44] On 8th October 2020, TCS surpassed Accenture in market capitalization, becoming the world's most

[00:02:52] valuable IT company with a market capitalization of over $144 billion. On 25th January 2021,

[00:03:01] TCS briefly reclaimed the title of the world's most valuable IT company from Accenture with a market

[00:03:07] cap of $170 billion. On the same day, TCS also became India's most valuable company, surpassing

[00:03:15] Reliance Industries. In May 2021, TCS, in collaboration with its consortium partner Neuro Technology,

[00:03:23] was selected by the Unique Identification Authority of India to provide biometric technology for the

[00:03:30] Aadhaar Digital ID Programme. The Aadhaar Programme, which has a database of over 1.3 billion citizens,

[00:03:38] has been described by World Bank Chief Economist Paul Romer as the most sophisticated ID program in

[00:03:44] the world. In 1980, TCS established India's first dedicated Software Research and Development Centre,

[00:03:52] Tata Research Development and Design Centre, TRDDC, located in Pune. TRDDC, which commemorated its 40th

[00:04:01] year in 2021, set the stage for the growth of research and innovation at Tata Consultancy Services.

[00:04:09] TRDDC, situated in Pune, is in a site with four roads. There are heavy structures in the southwest

[00:04:14] coordinate of the site. There is much open space in the northeast. Also, there is a vast open space on

[00:04:20] the north side across the road being used as a parking lot. If the western side of the site is

[00:04:26] higher than the eastern side, growth is destined to be faster and this will be reflected in the image

[00:04:31] and quality of the products and their inevitable success. The watch division of Titan Industries in

[00:04:37] Hosur is a timely example to substantiate the above principle. The descending slope of the site from west

[00:04:44] to east is very steep. A strong natural feature along with heavy buildings in southwest quadrant,

[00:04:50] has powered the watch company to market leadership. Sir Cisdesai, founder of Titan Company, passed away in

[00:04:57] June 2016. Half the town turned out to attend the funeral. After all, this was the community that

[00:05:03] he had helped create. Thousands of livelihoods, happy families and beautiful dreams. Is there a better

[00:05:09] gift that a man could give the world? The Jewelry Division of Titan Industries manufacturing

[00:05:15] Tanish Jewelry is not backed by positive Vasu Shakti. The steep rising slope from west to east and two

[00:05:22] roads on south and east have weakened the prosperity generating capacity of the unit to a great extent.

[00:05:28] Tattas are creating abundant wealth in Jamshadpur, a tribal area in Bihar. Wealth can be created in all

[00:05:34] parts of the country from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and from Punjab to Assam by adhering to the principles of

[00:05:40] Vasu Shastra. Hills located on the southern or western or south-western side of a site and water

[00:05:47] bodies in the form of rivers, lakes or some deep canals on eastern, northern or northeastern sides

[00:05:53] of a site are boons of nature and strengthen human effort immensely. They are permanent bounties of

[00:06:00] nature to strengthen human effort in the creation of wealth. Tata Coffee is located in Tupra near Hyderabad.

[00:06:06] The magnetic line is 30 degrees more prosperous north. The unit is fortified with hillocks on west and

[00:06:13] south. World-class products have been created without the normal gestation period. It is a 100%

[00:06:19] export-oriented unit. It was earlier known as Asian Coffee which had the unique distinction of exporting

[00:06:25] the entire first-year production including the first batch to the quality conscious markets in the west.

[00:06:32] The legendary Darbari Seth brought Asian Coffee into the folds of the Tatas. The plant of Tata Motors,

[00:06:39] then called Telco in Pune, has the river Indrayani flowing from west to east. This is a powerful feature

[00:06:45] as per Vasu. Tata Motors named one of its first crossover vehicles as Sumo, bearing first two letters

[00:06:52] of Sumanth Mulgankar's first name and second name respectively in tribute to him. J.R.D. Tata's

[00:06:59] observations about Mulgankar reflect his esteem for the man. He built the factory, he built the men,

[00:07:06] he built the technology. Sir Dharabji Tata established Western India's first hydroelectric plant at

[00:07:12] Kupoli which harnessed water resources from Valwan Dam for which the foundation stone was laid in February 1911.

[00:07:19] The Tata Power generation plant has Valwan Lake in the northeast and another lake, Shiravata also in

[00:07:27] the northeast. This is one of the most beautiful spots on earth. It is also home to a piece of India's

[00:07:33] history. Around the same time, two more adjacent dams were built by Tata Power at Luanawala and Shiravata.

[00:07:40] In 1915, the Tata Group inaugurated the country's most ambitious hydroelectric project to supply clean

[00:07:47] electric power to the city of Mumbai. In one stroke, these dams and hydroelectric projects

[00:07:53] provided power to drive more than one third of all the mills in Mumbai. Today Tata Power,

[00:07:59] the company born at Valwan over a century ago, continues to proudly supply uninterrupted power

[00:08:05] to the city of Mumbai. In February 2000, Tetley had entered the Tata fold. Tata Group chairman,

[00:08:12] Ratan Tata, call it a momentous location for the company. Indeed, Tata had created history by acquiring

[00:08:19] a global brand and business several times its size. Taj Hotels is a chain of luxury hotels owned by the

[00:08:26] Tata Group. In Taj, Bengal, Kolkata, the high-rise structure of the hotel is more towards south and west.

[00:08:34] The swimming pool is located on the north side. Peace and prosperity creating area, north,

[00:08:39] is strengthened by the continuously flowing Tolly Canal, which is a drain on the east and north

[00:08:45] sides outside the compound. The management and staff enjoy cordial relations. The continuous flow

[00:08:51] of water in the east and north has converted the hotel into a favorite place for foreign executives

[00:08:57] and the elite of Kolkata. The Taj Mahal Tower, Mumbai, has the harbour on the east,

[00:09:04] open space in the northeast till the gateway of India. These are the positive features.

[00:09:13] The Taj Mahal Tower is a convergent structure constructed on north, east and south, leaving

[00:09:21] west open, which is harmful. The west side has become lighter. These are the negative features

[00:09:26] which could have paved the way for the horrific terrorist attack on it in 2008.

[00:09:31] The Tata's established Indian Institute of Science at Bangalore, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research

[00:09:38] at Mumbai, Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai in 1941. The Tata's had founded Air India. Tata's had lost

[00:09:46] control of Air India nearly seven decades ago before regaining it in 2022. There are almost relatively

[00:09:53] no areas of business the Tata's haven't touched. The Tata Trusts for the past 125 years have contributed

[00:10:01] consistently to the community, investing significantly in education, health, livelihoods, art and cultures.

[00:10:08] These public charitable trusts own 66% of the equity shares of Tata Sons, the parent company of the Tata

[00:10:16] Group. As a result of this unique ownership structure, a significant proportion of the profits of Tata

[00:10:22] Tata Sons flowed to the Tata Trust, which in turn invests these funds back into the community.

[00:10:27] In the words of JRD Tata, who was chairman of the Tata Group for over 50 years, this ensures that

[00:10:33] what came from the people has gone back to the people many times over. The Indian Olympic Association

[00:10:39] was formed in 1927 with Sir Dharabji Tata as its first president and Dr. Noren as secretary.

[00:10:47] In the hockey finals, in front of a large crowd of 23,400 people, India bet the Netherlands 3-0 to

[00:10:55] claim its first Olympic gold medal. The legendary Dian Chand was the top goal scorer. He scored 14

[00:11:02] magical goals in that single tournament to stamp his name in gold. Sir Dharabji Tata's dream to see

[00:11:09] India stand proud at the Olympics had finally come true. Let us reflect for a moment on India's first-ever

[00:11:15] Olympic team, Antwerp 1920, more than a century ago. It happened largely because Sir Dharabji Tata

[00:11:22] married his passion for sports to his life's purpose, nation building. When we combine our passion and

[00:11:30] our purpose and harness nature's powers, even we can make magic happen. And that's where you come in,

[00:11:37] dear listeners. Are you ready to transform your business and living spaces using these powerful

[00:11:42] Vasu Shastra principles? Do you want to learn how to create environments that not only look good,

[00:11:48] but also promote success, harmony and well-being? Remember, just as Tata's have shown us, the right

[00:11:54] spatial strategy can be the key to unlocking unprecedented success and making a positive impact

[00:12:00] on the world around you. So why wait? Take that first step towards harmonizing your spaces

[00:12:05] and amplifying your success. I dedicate this episode to Padma Vibhushan Sri Ratan Nawal Tata,

[00:12:12] a legendary figure of our times who departed this world for heavenly abode on 9th October.

[00:12:17] That's all for today's episode of Vasu Vibes, Harmonizing Spaces. I am Marigopi Srinos Reddy,

[00:12:23] thanking you for tuning in. Until next time, may your spaces be harmonious and your success limitless.

[00:12:29] Bye.
