Amogh: Hello and welcome to the corner flag. are here on a Monday. We didn't make it on a Friday for that. We are very, very sorry, but we are here on a Monday and we are resuming regular programming. And this is a big deal because of the results that happened. have still as a United fan committed to this podcast. And I'm coming to you live with Ronaq who is also a United fan who has also committed to this podcast and with Nathan. Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: who is a Liverpool fan who had a slightly better weekend but has also committed to this podcast. The only other Liverpool fan Mukesh is not committed but commitment is an issue with him. But we are here on Nathan: I had a great weekend. Amogh: a... Shut up, Neethan. Shut up. Shut up. Okay. Enough of your great weekend and all. On Mondays, don't say that weekend was great and all. We don't say that. Nathan: You can't even can't Shit. I hate Sundays dude. Worst day of the week. Most overrated day of the week. See Saturday at Amogh: better, much better, much better, much better. That is how I. Ronaq: Yeah. Nathan: least Friday night you are hopeful. That Amogh: Cutting. Nathan: yes Sunday is Bullshit. Amogh: Correct. Absolutely correct. Ronak, can see that on a previous episode that we did, you were very proudly wearing the United jersey. Today you grey t-shirt. There's no jersey. Ronaq: Yeah, as as dull and as drab as I could possibly be, all the life has been sucked out within one matchweek. Amogh: dude, so much optimism. Let's begin there only. Nathan, feel like you also enjoy making fun of us United fans. But let's begin with the biggest upset of this game week 1. Same old, same old for Man United losing 2-0 away to newly promoted Hull City. 2-0. And this is Ronak after so much optimism Nathan: Hush! Amogh: about Michael Carey, after so much optimism about United transfer window. Decent-ish, I mean, let's not say decent-ish, we were destroyed by Milan in pre-season but we were that yes, pre-season. It seemed like against Hull, Nathan: Hahaha. Amogh: it was a pre-season game. Ronaq: Yeah, pretty much. Like, you know, this is the first time ever that United has lost against a newly promoted team on the opening day across Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: history. Nathan: Staying Ronaq: First day. So this was obviously a very depressing start. you know, like how a couple days back we were talking about City against Arsenal, that City didn't show up. Amogh: Hmm. Ronaq: It was somewhat like that for United. And Nathan: Hahaha Ronaq: and while prefacing that City team, that you know, they didn't show up. I said that how we have talked about United over the couple over the last few years that United don't show up. And it's exactly what happened in the opening week. You know, like when I saw the lineup, I was actually fairly positive. Okay, okay, this looks like a decent lineup. And you know, we've got Cunya back, we've got Embermo you know, up top, we've got Bruno in. And you know, let's see what we can do. And Dorgo, obviously, Karik loves Dorgo. and likes to play him further forward, which honestly is fine where you're looking to counter and you're looking to defend across the matches like last year against Arsenal and City, which is why you know it was such a good player in those games where you know you're really supposed to defend with five players in and then counter Nathan: you Ronaq: and you know break the lines, and that is where Dorgu really flourishes. But when we have the ball, he can't do anything. Off of that left wing when we're playing against a low block team, and that is exactly what was exposed in the first forty five minutes of the match. Amogh: Yeah, it was ridiculous because 72 % I think roughly was the possession that we had and it just goes to show that United are terrible against low blocks. We just do not know how to penetrate the low block and as for us losing against a newly promoted side for the first time, if nothing else we are a record-breaking club, you know? So it's just fucking ridiculous. Ronaq: You know, the only positive out of ninety minutes of us just watching nothing happen on United's attack, the only positive I could muster up from this game was we didn't concede an open play goal. Both goals were out of set pieces. And Amogh: hahahaha Ronaq: you know that is what something you can expect when you lose Casemiro, something you can expect when you have Aiden Heaven, a nineteen year old starting your games. Sure if he you know messes up in open play, there's someone who might cover for him. There's something he can even do himself. Like, you know, as an athlete, as a fast nineteen year old young guy, he might just run in cover or maybe lunge in for a tackle and get away with it. But in a set piece, if you miss your man, you concede a goal. And that is literally what happened. So yeah. Amogh: Yeah, there was a... Again, like Maguire marking Mazraoui in one of the corners. Nathan: Yeah dude that was... Amogh: I feel like you spoke about the one positive that you had about the goals being set piece goals and not open play goals. I think the one positive that I had was it is still the first game of the season. I know you're supposed to lay down a marker and all of that, but... going away to a newly promoted side is always going to be tough. And I know this might sound like excuses Ronaq: Vince. Amogh: and they probably are, but it's always tough because, you know, the home fans are going to be up for it. They're coming back to the Premier League after a long time. They're playing against a big name club. you know, getting one over them is going to be a big morale boost. So they're always going to be charged up for games like this. And the fact of the matter is United just weren't at the races. United just weren't awake. There much possession but there was no penetration like I said. And Carrick needs to find solutions. Ronaq: Yeah. Yeah, I you know, I 100% agree. Like the you know, just out of out the get-go, I am not a fan of Patrick Dorgo on the left wing. I just don't think he's a united left winger. Like, you know, that position holds some weight, and you can't just be taking the ball on your left and keep trying to cross in, like, you know, keep trying to cross it in even when there's no one there. And It just really pissed me off. And just seeing that lineup in the start with Dorgo on the left, I was a little apprehensive because I knew we were up against a low block. Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: and we don't need five defenders on the pitch. And I look at Patrick Dorgo as a defender. His ideal position is a wing back, but now that position doesn't exist in our team. So Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: yeah, it just I wanted to see Rashford or Kunia off the left. Maybe Amar wasn't there, so I was hoping maybe Seshko gets a start. Or, you know, something along that line. But Obviously, I Sheshko was only fit enough as a sub. And as soon as Marcus Ashford came in the second half, we immediately saw just something what a left finger is supposed to do. I'm not saying he had the best of games or you know he was brilliant, he scored a hat-trick or whatever. No. But it was just stuff something more as a left finger that you need that Dorku just cannot give. Amogh: Yeah. What you said about just wanting to cross into the box, think that was the biggest game plan that I found really frustrating because when you have players like Mbomu, Kunia, Bruno, you need to be playing through the middle. You need to be breaking that low block through the middle. Crossing a ball Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: into the box when you're playing against a back five, against a team. that is historically known for being a leaky defense. Alright, firstly, Hull had the worst statistics of goals against in the championship last season. It's a miracle how they've been promoted. They're going to be everybody's favorites to go down again this season. Right? Hull City this season is going to Ronaq: Hundred percent. Amogh: be a fucking goal Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: fest. Like it is a lottery for anybody who plays against Hull City. Or at least that's what the prediction was going to be as the season came around. They are... They're playing with a back five. You cannot just Rambo Rousey put balls in the box, man. And you don't even have Sheshko who's like got the aerial advantage or Casimiro who's known to, to, you know, get in amongst the defenders and, know, get a headed goal in. None of your Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: players are suited to that type of play. So it was just weird Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: to see that being the game plan being used. Ronaq: They were really out of ideas. And you know, honestly, like I'm I'd like to just applaud Hull because they really put in a a performance. And the the in the start they had a couple of mistakes where, you know, the Mbermo got an open shot and all. but even the keeper was up for it. whoever I think Solakis or something, he's a new keeper that Hull have gotten and he was absolutely up for it. Amogh: Yep. Yep. Ronaq: And I honestly don't have much to say about the United performance. I'm just I'm just hoping that they're able to turn it around. Obviously, next is Ip Switch at home. I Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: I'm obviously thinking that this is going to be a win for us because Nathan: Easy, easy, easy win. Ronaq: yeah, yeah, a home game fans won't let you get away with the performance Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: Yeah. Yeah. Ronaq: like that. But all I can say is that it's tr it's a troubling sign, and I hope they can kind of Nathan: cough cough Ronaq: find what the problem was and you know have a better game plan in the future. games and they're able to fix these such issues. And you Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: know such games you can you can just go get out with a 1-0 or a 2-1 victory. Even a one all I'd be okay if after like when we were 2-0 down, I was okay with a draw. But fuck we couldn't even score one goal. It was really heartbreaking. Yeah. Amogh: Yeah, yeah, very good. Nathan: What are United's next three fixtures? Ronaq: Ipswich at home. Wait, I can just pull it up in a second. Yeah, Ipswich at Nathan: Dude like. Ronaq: home, Everton away and city at home. Amogh: So, Episodges is the only sort of on paper Nathan: interesting. The last two. Amogh: easy game. Because Everton away is going to be tough. Nathan: Everything always going to tricky. Amogh: And City is going to be easy as well because City and Mariska. Of course, we'll get to the City game. Ronaq: city will see it. I mean you can clip it. Like, you know, after the opening day defeat in Hull, I in my friends group I was like, call it. I'm we're winning against City. Yeah, yeah. 100%. Hundred percent. Nathan: This is happening dude, we all can see it to some degree like Amogh: Yeah. Fuckers, don't jinx it is all I'm saying. Don't fucking jinx it. Ronaq: Ha ha ha. Nathan: this is to Ronaq: Ha ha ha. Amogh: We can only laugh guys. Nathan: Hull City 1, United 0, I ok whatever. Then I reached the venue and all and then opened my phone and like f**k 2-0, what's I couldn't watch the game because obviously it an event but bro like I've had all my DMs went quiet like you know all these f**king United fans they're messaging me, no one messaged me. And when yesterday ventured Ronaq: Ha ha ha. Nathan: Liverpool drew then they've come in my DMs like Ronaq: Mm-hmm. Nathan: celebrating a draw versus Newcastle how the mighty have fallen. I'm like dude, shut up. Amogh: Yeah, I don't think United fans have any fucking legs to stand on to give banter to anyone. Nathan: any okay who has who Ronaq: Na te. Nathan: is a more shameful fan base united or asana Ronaq: Arsenal, 100%. Yeah, 100%. I mean, they were pretending to Nathan: Asnw. Al-f-f-f. I'll agree. Amogh: They don't have an iota of history. Ronaq: be Real Madrid when they hadn't even won a league in 20 years. Like last year they won the league finally, but they were pretending to Nathan: Hmm. Ronaq: be Real Madrid even in that during the season. I was like, come on, get a grip of yourselves. Nathan: It's so easy to trigger Arsenal fans, just show them any Amogh: But very, very, yeah, very easy. Ronaq: Yeah. Nathan: European trophy, not just champ, any. Here we go, Amogh: But Arsenal did start really well, Arsenal 3-0 Victor is over, Nathan: yeah dude, I watched that game. Amogh: over Corventry and I mean just honestly Nathan: That Califiori assist was good, haan. Maaza hai. He played damn well. Ronaq: it was brilliant. It was brilliant. And I had called Calafury's name as an FPL shout. So it was great to see him. Manavili, yeah. Amogh: Yeah, I took... I Gabriel first but I thought 8 million defender is just not worth it. Calafiore he gives. Ronaq: Too much. It's too much. Nathan: My Odegaard worked Ronaq: Nice. Nathan: Dude I also feel so stupid and I forgot to update my FPL team I just forgot about it And Amogh: Welcome to the club! Ronaq: Mm-hmm. Nathan: I put Maguire in defense and Lamins as keeper man My midfield Ronaq: Heavy, heavy. Even I had Maguire in defense. Nathan: was Odegaard, Soboslay, Gravenburch and I forgot So Gravenburch got assist Gravenburch Ronaq: gravel and show was both, yeah, crazy. Nathan: got Burj got assist, Sobo got out, that was Ronaq: Yeah. Nathan: a good penalty by the Ronaq: Yeah. Yeah. Amogh: But no, no, let's get Nathan: confidence. Amogh: to Liverpool in a bit Arsenal vs Coventry City, that's how you fucking Nathan: great game. Amogh: play against a newly promoted side. Frank Lampard's Coventry City touted to ruffle some feathers this season much like Sunderland last season but we'll see what happens. 3-0 defeat Nathan: Okay. Amogh: to Arsenal is not embarrassing Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: at all but you know it's like these guys mean business. Nathan: you know, big steps. Ronaq: No, and you know, like last year, towards the end of the season, I think in one of our streams only I have to go back and look. I'd really mentioned that once Arsenal win the league, you're Amogh: Hmm. Ronaq: going to see a different Arsenal where they'd like Nathan: Hmm. Ronaq: to be more attacking. They'd they'd ha they'd be more secure of themselves. And they will push on for the second and third goal. How last season a lot of criticism was that you know they w they were only defending one nil leads. And I I don't think Nathan: Yeah, now they've got that confidence, Ronaq: yeah, now they've got that confidence, they've got the players in also as well. Like, you Solakes, not Solakes, Soles. Amogh: Solis! Ronaq: Soles is freaking brilliant. He's brilliant, Nathan: Good player man, good player too. Ronaq: but also also right now it is there was his debut, the Premier League debut of this player. So I remember when I'm not that I'm comparing Solace to Martial, but Martial had a sim, like you know, very hot breakthrough. And in the start, the defenders don't know what to expect of you. And that's why you're able to surprise them on every single step. And it becomes slightly easier, and you've got that quick foot, quick pace, obviously, all of it. The second season is where it gets difficult, you know, where they have a year's worth of data. Defenders know you. They know how you're gonna do they know what you want to do, what you prefer, what you don't prefer. So it's just something to think about. But he's obviously a absolutely brilliant player and he's I think he's gonna make that left wing spot his own. Amogh: Yeah, absolutely. Nathan: Hmm Amogh: what I also find interesting for Arsenal fans and Arsenal fans will be very happy about this is like Nathan said the return of Martin Odegaard to top form. You know, he has been Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: a key miss for Arsenal in certain games and when Odegaard is ticking, no, but just any goal, honestly any goal Nathan: It was a scrappy goal. But still. Yeah. Amogh: for a player like a Martin Odegaard or honestly any other player actually. Goal maarega Premier League mein your confidence is going to be at an all time high, right? The more confidence Martin Ondergaard has, the more lethal Arsenal are. That's just a fact. Nathan: Bye. Amogh: Right? And this is a season where, of course, there's going to be a lot more pressure on Arsenal because they've just won the league. Everybody's going to be asking questions Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: about whether they can do it again, whether they really deserved it last season because everybody else was so shit. So, lots of pressure is going to be on that squad. They've come to the Champions League final and they've lost it. So, that is another front that they're going to want to go all the way again. Nathan: Okay. Amogh: It is a season that they're getting into where Declan Rice has been overrun in midfield over the last season and the World Cup after that. Right? Like he has been overused. He's been so overworked. There is genuine concern of injury. They are getting Bukai Osaka who's also coming back from a slightly serious injury. Nathan: Mm-hmm. Amogh: His World Cup time was also quite limited. It's not like he pulled up any trees in the World Cup. So... His form and his goals are not a guarantee at least at the start of the season first two three game weeks, let's say. So in a situation like this, if your Kai Havertz is and if your Martin Odegaard are going to be at top form and they're going to be genuine goal threats where they will contribute week in week out, then that is the best sign for an Arsenal fan. If I was an Arsenal fan, I'd be very, very happy seeing that I'd be a little relieved about my squad, regardless of the holes that are obviously there and that haven't been Nathan: Mm. Amogh: plugged yet. I'm just saying that in terms of the Arsenal defence, there are holes there. For example, Christian Mosquera Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: is not really your first choice defender and William Saliba's injury is going to haunt them. But the way they are playing in attack is kind of papering over the cracks in defence as of now till they sign Esri Konza, which looks like it's going to happen. Ronaq: It's already done. It's already done. Yeah. Yeah. It's done. It's done. Nathan: He is already presented at the Emirates. I mean, yeah, he was already did that. Amogh: it's present, he's presented, what? shit, I didn't it. Ronaq: He should be starting in the next couple of game weeks, I'm assuming. you know, apart from that Arsenal, Nathan: Yeah, next 2-3 games will in Sorry, starting. Ronaq: in the city game in the community shield, we had seen that Lewis Kelly ball to Cala Fiori which was the assist, and it was a brilliant one. And I'd said that we saw that across that game, and we're going to be seeing more of it. And we saw multiple times that same line-breaking pass from Louis Kelly down that the line of the D into the feet of Caliph Califiori, and he's just doing Nathan: Yeah. Ronaq: really well. And you know, like just comparing something from last season, Arsenal's last season was built on. Set piece success and that defenders chipping in with goals. You know, and this season I think it's it is more of the same, but with a little bit of a difference where Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: we're seeing more Nathan: Hmm Ronaq: of Ben White and more of Cala Fiori up front. set pieces they'll come and go when they come and go. But I just think Arsenal prides so much themselves on their defense, and I think now it's going to get even better. The only only issue for Arsenal is to keep all of them fit. Literally, because even Califury, we've seen him Nathan: Yeah. Ronaq: injured in the past. Saliba's already injured. Timber is still not back from an injury. Ben White had a very injury ridden season. Nathan: I forgot about the hour man. Ronaq: So, yeah, they are absolutely stacked. And Nathan: until they are depted. Amogh: Just to add on to your point, Ronak, think the evolution in Arsenal's attacking strategy in terms of their defenders, of course, their fullbacks or wingbacks cutting into the centre. Like you saw Calafiore occupy a lot more of central spaces, Ronaq: Yeah. Yeah. Amogh: which obviously makes him more of a... Excuse me, more of a goal threat. So, yeah, shout out to FPL players. I Calafiore is the... Ronaq: You know? Amogh: very very solid bet in your FPL defense. Ronaq: You know like how we talk about the full back overlapping the wingers. I think Arsenal have Amogh: Exactly. Ronaq: a inward overlap where they cut in between in front Amogh: Yeah. Yeah. Ronaq: of the wingers and, you know, get a boil and get into the D. Amogh: Exactly. Ronaq: So it's it's a very interesting tactic and yeah. Amogh: very very yeah very very cool. Let's talk about Arsenal's closest title rivals Manchester City they got lucky they got fucking Nathan: I missed the game man. Amogh: lucky no no they got they got very lucky it looked like they were not going to get any fucking headway Ronaq: I mean they started with Mark Gehi in midfield, just by the way. Yes. Yes, in midfield as a central midfielder. Amogh: Yeah. Yeah. Nathan: in midfield in midfield what who was with him in midfield Amogh: Go watch it. Go watch it. Go Ronaq: Kovachitch, Kovachich, Kovachit, Amogh: watch it. Ronaq: Kovachit, and Foden. Yeah, so it was gay, Kovachich and Foden as Nathan: I forgot they still have QOHH with them. Wow. Amogh: Can you imagine Maraiska telling Mark Gahey that you Roderick's role? Mark Gahey is saying Nathan: You Amogh: that I Crystal Palace. How I Ballon d'Or's role? But he got the goal man. He got the goal. Nathan: dude, you mentioned Goehee na? Yeah, you got it. Ronaq: Yeah, yeah. Nathan: You missed me on Goehee na last year at the same time Goehee to Liverpool was gonna happen if you all remember. And then that fucking Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: Yeah, how can we forget? Nathan: Oliver Glasner. That man. What a dude I've been. Amogh: But then you should be happy now you got Ronaq: Yeah, hundred percent. Amogh: Ronald R. Ogo. Ronaq: You know, actually just a couple days back I was thinking about this very thing. If Liverpool would have gotten Mark Gehi, Nathan: way. Ronaq: Slot would still be the manager. Yeah, I think. Nathan: yeah yeah, 60-40, 60 Amogh: Are you serious? You think so? Why do Nathan: % yes, no no Amogh: you say that? Nathan: I agree. Dude Konati was just a... Ronaq: Mark Gehee is a absolutely terrific defender. He would have really Amogh: Yeah. Nathan: Yeah dude! Ronaq: solidified the defence, partnering Virgil van Dijk. I think they conceded a lot less goals than they already did last season. So yeah, it would have changed so many results. Nathan: Dude, Konate was like just shaky dude last time. Konate looked like he was playing at Andrews, honestly. Ronaq: No, and also Amogh: Ha ha ha ha ha. Nathan: Last season. Ronaq: So I mean yeah Mark Gay as evidenced by this very game we you know he can even come in with a goal or two of his own. And we've Amogh: Yeah, yeah. Ronaq: even seen him for city, even seen him for Palace Amogh: you Ronaq: score several goals. So I definitely think if they had gotten Mark Gaye's signature at the you know end of last summer winter, things would have been very different for Liverpool. Nathan: god, dude you brought up that Amogh: But then Nathan would be very unhappy. Nathan should be happier now because he hated Slott last season. So if Slott would have stayed... No, no, no. Wait, Ronaq: Yeah. Nathan: second half of the season I lost my shit Amogh: wait, wait. Nathan, you have Slott You still abuse Slott. So now if, if, if, if, Liverpool and Slott would have kept his job then you would be one unhappy Liverpool fan isn't that right? Nathan: I'm unhappy in general also. So this is like, okay, just watch for entertainment sake. You know when I lost Amogh: Well saved. Well saved. Nathan: it with slot Karabau Cup last season, the Crystal Palace game at home. He started the C team. Ronaq: full teenagers he started. Yeah. The only possible cup they could have gotten. Yeah. Amogh: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nathan: Yeah and without realising exactly without Amogh: Yeah. Nathan: realising that you've already launched to Crystal Palace twice between Ronaq: Yeah. Nathan: August to between August and September yeah and that game was like early October or something if I'm not wrong and Ronaq: Yeah. Nathan: my god like I saw that Crystal Palace line up Saar, Martetta, I'm gonna cut up cut up just I got Ronaq: Glasnar's palace was really good, man. Nathan: my I was so good so good so whatever as As they also was like, yeah, like last year Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: Yeah. Yeah. Nathan: around this time. As they joined Arsenal in Jan this year, I think. Ronaq: Not Jan, it was in Og in the summer window only, but towards the end of the summer window. Nathan: Is it? okay. sorry. I keep getting confused between SA and Semino, man. It's such a... I don't know why. I Amogh: Racist? Nathan: don't know why, dude. It used to be the hair. It's just the hair, like... Ronaq: SSM juba city or as Nathan: Yeah, I keep swapping the players, my bad. Amogh: I mean, Arsenal are trying to be City only. What else is there? guy, assistant manager, Lelia, you know. Nathan: Yeah, I don't. You know, what's my Ronaq: How Nathan: backup going to be this season? I'm going to start watching Saudi Pro League because Al Nasser and Shposh Tikoglu is managing Ronaldo. I want to watch that dynamic play out. I want to see that. Amogh: Dude, Ange Postocoglu managing Ronaldo is great because there's Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: that video where Ronaldo's returned. Nathan: Both very big egos. Amogh: No, no, Ronaldo's returned to training after his wedding and all and Ange said, big man is here. You're right, mate. Like, Ronaldo, asshole. Love it. Love it. Love it. Ronaq: Ha ha ha. Nathan: Congratulations, Chris. Happy for you, mate. Amogh: But City, of course, getting the winner through Josco Guardiola. just to be offside at first but immediately there need for We could all tell that he was onside And again, like defenders coming up and scoring goals for City which sucked for my FPL which had Captain Harland as did many, many millions of other players I am sure. Rona, who captain? And same, same, yeah, same. It's just me. You know that's... Ronaq: Hmm. Bruno and Weiss was on Haaland. So I was getting a two either way. Nathan: Ew, what were your points by the way? Amogh: So yeah, 36 or something. It's not worth it. The problem is, United Nathan: Same same, my another one. Amogh: lost and FPL didn't do much. Like, it's a double fucking depressing weekend because of that. When United loses and FPL gets good standing, Nathan: 40. Amogh: fuck you, Nathan. Just... Just... Hey, man. Fuck all you guys, Shit, man. Shit, man. Nathan: 40 40 yeah 4 point wow yeah seer yeah we are happy with 36 and 40 you just Ronaq: I got sixty three. Nathan: reverse the 36 bro 63. I wonder how much Ronaq: But I played my bench boost. Amogh: You are that type of You Nathan: I don't even know who I put on the bench bro. Amogh: are that type of nerd. Playing bench boost in and strategizing Should the second game week? Ronaq: Yeah. Nathan: I still have one player Chelsea are still playing I have got Ronaq: I mean if you got the players, why not? Nathan: Jau Pedro on bench. shit Ronaq: Yeah, yeah. the whole world has Jao Pedro on bench. I mean, in the act in the team, like yeah. Amogh: He will me. Not me. Not me. Nathan: I put Jeremy Doku in my midfield and he is injured. Damn it I would have got at Ronaq: Yeah, so Nathan: least 2-3 more points. If he had to play. Ronaq: A Doku in play only, no? Nathan: I don't know if he is injured. Ronaq: No, but I mean, talking about the city game, Cities didn't seem to have any attacking penetration. Haland seemed to be off of it, which is very you don't see it often, but Holland was off of it. Yeah. It seemed very weird. Amogh: He didn't He cut that's why. It is all in the hair. It is all in the hair. Ronaq: But the player to change the script for City was Ryan Sherki, providing two assists and both were brilliant assists. The sneaky passes into the to the defender and yeah, brilliant, brilliant goal. Amogh: But tell me something, now Rana, Ryan Cherki, and this is something that we noticed last season also under Guardiola. I think the Premier League Instagram account put this up or something, right? Like, he's always learning because he would always be taken by Guardiola hand over the shoulder after a game or as a Gyan baakte rahe da Guardiola Cherki ko and the same thing you saw with Maresca after this game as well. Marezka already bald, already trying very hard, like body language very similar to Pep, trying very hard to be Pep 2.2, right? And he's doing the same Ronaq: Hmm. Amogh: thing with Scherke. Now, we know, and we have seen how good of a player Ryan Scherke is. We have seen that when he was at Lyon as well. We have seen flashes of that at Man City. We have seen flashes of that with France. But the fact of the matter is, Ryan Scherke does not start a game for France. Ryan Scherke is not starting Nathan: Hmm. Amogh: a game for Man City. And this has been for a long time coming. It's not like He has dramatically bettered his performances or worsened his performances. He has just constantly been a bench fixture. So is he just Nathan: Hmm Amogh: a very expensive super sub? Or is there something fundamentally wrong? Is there something fundamentally wrong? Ronaq: I think he's like Sancho. I think he's like Sancho. I think he's like Sancho a bit. That his attitude Nathan: essential. Ronaq: is not the most appreciated with coaches. They don't think he's ready to put a shift in. Yes, when they have the ball, he's a very creative player. And you know that is something which ticked off Didier Deschamp in the World Cup, where he didn't bring on Sherky or whatever. I think he was asking Sherky to go warm up or something and Sherky said no or whatever. It was some little bit of a controversy like that. But yeah, I think it's just Nathan: Ahem. Ronaq: a bit of an attitude problem with Cherky. Nathan: Speaking of city just in Newcastle are set to sign Nico Gonzalez for Man City a deal worth up to 68 million. That's interesting. Ronaq: Yeah, I was about I was about to talk about that also because imagine your Nico Gonzalez. You've been at the clubs for the past one or two years, and you've seen players like Rodri and Bernardo Silva play ahead of you, which you know you can obviously take. Now they leave. Okay. And who starts game one ahead of you in midfield? Nathan: Hehehehehe Amogh: Mark Gahey Ronaq: I mean that has to be some c sort of a direct message body leave. Nathan: Enzo Fernandez also City are pushing for you. I think this could be like one one of those, you deadline day transfers. I think ho jayega. Amogh: I mean, Ends of Atlantis to City has been a transfer saga for a very long time and it was also hilarious Nathan: Where? Amogh: that Chelsea set a 5pm deadline. I mean, does Chelsea know that there is an actual transfer deadline that is globally Nathan: yeah. Amogh: accepted as the actual fucking deadline post which you cannot make any transfers? Ronaq: So now if if City Nathan: I think that I Ronaq: come up with the money, it is Chelsea either have to be care Exactly. Now now do they stand on their ego for 120 million or do they take the money? Amogh: But then Chelsea have to say no. Then Chelsea have to say no. They have to. They have to. And in fact, I Nathan: Yeah, like you you Amogh: feel like this is what Manchester City have to do and we already know that they have very good lawyers who are dealing with their 117 whatever f**king cases. So they can this, and I implore the bosses at Manchester City to do this. I feel like just before Nathan: Ahem. Amogh: actual transfer deadline day, send a red**** Ridiculous bid. 500 million pounds. Send such extraordinary bid to Chelsea. That we will end in one payment. No installments also. Nothing. No need for advertisement. Nothing. One time fucking upfront Nathan: Wow. Amogh: cash payment. 500 million pounds. And then if Chelsea accept, they need to be taken to the court for arbitration of sports. Sue the fuck out of Chelsea. How can you accept this? Nathan: Yeah, that was so funny dude. Amogh: How can you accept this when you said deadline was then? Then how accept? You should this. Ronaq: You're just talking about some Nathan: This is like that Ronaq: go ahead, Nathan, go ahead. Nathan: No, no, I completely lost my train of thought. Ronaq: sorry, sir, but City. you know, City Tottenham are having a couple of transfers between them. Savinio and Marmosh. So, no. So, listen, listen Amogh: Yeah. Couple, I mean... Fucking great transfers for spurs. What the fuck? Nathan: Bro dude 6 players they have signed no? Ronaq: to what City did. Okay, so we were all confused that how City were able to sell Savinio for 85 million, right? We were all questioning that that you know Amogh: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Ronaq: he's been a flopper city. How the hell are they selling him for 85 million? Look what these people have done. They sold Savinio for 85 million and then they sold Marmoush for 50. The actual thing was both were supposed to be reverse fees, but Marmoush had a buy-on clause. So they kept his transfer fee low and they banked on Savinio. So they don't have to pay the salon clause, the higher salon clause. Amogh: Yeah, must must must negotiating must account. Somebody. Ronaq: I absolutely flipped. Nathan: I'm... Dude, I'm convinced between those Emiratis, there's one Gujarati guy, bro. 100%. Doing business at... 100%, bro. 100 % has Amogh: 100 % Nathan: to be... Has to be, dude. Food is Amogh: Whose bell rang? Whose bell rang? Okay. Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: But yeah, so that was Man City. Let's talk about Liverpool because we don't want Nathan to go and get his food. Newcastle 2. Nathan: Hehehehehe Amogh: Liverpool 2. Of course, the game was a tribute to the late great Kevin Keegan who passed away a few days ago. Spectacular player, spectacular manager played for Liverpool as Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: well as Newcastle. It was nice to see all the players warming up in number 7 key and shirts. Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: Lovely, lovely tribute. I wonder if something similar will happen to Alexander Isak when he dies eventually. It won't happen. It won't happen. Ronaq: god, how grim, man. Amogh: It won't But it was good for Alexander Isak also to return to St. James Park his first game against Newcastle. It wasn't good. No, it was not good. It was not Ronaq: He wasn't good. Wasn't good. He had a terrible time. Amogh: I feel Newcastle fans are going through a lot of induction. They're like, ha ha, told you. Told fucking you. Nathan: Yeah dude like everytime Isak Ronaq: Yeah. Nathan: just got the ball now I'm increasing the volume like just to see how they react like so I missed Ronaq: You know, like I was really go ahead, huh? I'm I've been just cutting you off. Nathan: I missed the first half of the match because I went to play. was like, I have not played on a Sunday in a while. Let's And then I've come home. What's the entire second half? It was fun. Like I was like, what? They are taking risks. Are you serious? Really? I love it. It Then I saw this. my God. I don't understand. I have one problem. have. Why is Rio and Gomaha playing right wing? Bro, I mean. I don't know what to say. okay, tell me how do we have Elliot? They're going to sell on you now. I don't see Elliot staying. So Amogh: Hmm. Hmm. Nathan: if Elliot had to make even the bench for this game, he could have started right wing, but in Gomoha as great as a player, young player, he is, he is only a left winger, bro. Like dude, like the game was lost, almost lost there on like it was okay. Victor Munoz also, dude, I see him doing well. Like he's got the pace. He can dribble well. It's passing his vision. Like he and maybe Frimpong I feel will have some sort of partnership on the right and ours Amogh: Frimpong needs to play better to have a partnership with anyone firstly. Frimpong has done. He needs to play. On Nathan: Yeah, that's that's also true. Yes. Ronaq: Fimpong needs to play better, Chodo. He needs to play. Amogh: that note, Gaurav Dole has a great question. What is your opinion on Florian Boets? Can we call him a flop? I think yes. I think he's one of the worst signings Liverpool have made. You're still 50-50. You're still 50-50. Nathan: 50 50 still I'm 50 50 50 50 I'm still 50 50 about Ronaq: How much did Liverpool pay for him? Nathan: 120 no 100 Amogh: A fuckton. I think a fuckton million. Ronaq: One twenty, right? Nathan: no 120 was for Issa no Amogh: Hahaha Ronaq: Wasn't Isaac Moore? I thought Isaac was more. Nathan: Issa was 120 Issa was 120 Amogh: See, when you fan of it's important Nathan: Hahaha! Amogh: Because there is other happiness in your life. So what else can you Ronaq: Yeah. So Words was hundred and sixteen million pounds. Nathan: Almost 120 Ronaq: see I you know honestly, I don't know. He's he's a good player. He always has impact on Nathan: He's a great player. Ronaq: the team. He always has impact on the team. Amogh: He's a great player on his shit team. Right, Nathan? Yeah. Nathan: Yeah, but Liverpool need a number six. Dude Gravend Pudge is not gonna play what slot asked him to do play the defensive mid. He can't hold the game and he can but he just doesn't want to. I Ronaq: I love Graven Birch, man. I love Graven Birch. Nathan: liked him when I first saw him at Bayern also like two three games which I saw I remember I'm like yeah he's good player. Ronaq: He's brilliant. I would love him at United, honestly. Amogh: I have little PTSD for So maybe not. Maybe not. I'll tell you where Ronaq: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Amogh: this comes from. It comes from that f**k all Wesley Schneider rumour. Since he rumoured. Dutch players have just... Nathan: What ya dude this was such a throwback Amogh: We had Van Nistelrooy and Van Persie. Japs time earlier. But I'm saying Van Persie was the last Dutch player that did well for us. The Wesley Schneider... Ronaq: Daily blind. Amogh: He is a cult player. He his of players. Correct. Ronaq: Livulka free kick goal set piece routine. Career done. Amogh: no, I look honestly with Liverpool. All I will say is this. They have overspent in the transfer market for ESAC and words. I think we are all aware Nathan: Yeah Amogh: of that. They have not lived up to the hype and the price tag and time is running out for them to make a mark. Let's be very honest, time Nathan: Hmm. Amogh: is running out. The way Isaac behaved in his transfer from Newcastle was also not great. Nathan: That's just karma playing up right serving itself right now man. Amogh: Their appointment of Andoni Iraola is a very good appointment. Iraola is a very Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: good manager as evidenced by his stint at Bournemouth. The way he got that Bournemouth team to play and the heights that he took them to, fantastic stuff. Ronaq: He knows what it takes in the Premier League. Like, you know, he can do it. Amogh: Yes. However, if you remember Iraola's appointment at Bournemouth, the larger consensus was that he was going to be the first manager to get sacked in that season. That was the larger consensus that he is going to go, he is not good enough for the Premier League, he is not good enough for Bournemouth. And the start that Bournemouth had under Andoni Iraola was also very, very slow. They did not Nathan: Very tough, very slow. Amogh: get into a rhythm, they did not start getting the results. early on in his tenure. And this was at Bournemouth, which is a much smaller club. Now think about that same manager in the same method at a club as the size of Liverpool. It's going to be very tough for you guys. It's going to be, I'll be very surprised if Liverpool under Irawala hit the ground running immediately like yes, first game they've survived a 2-2 draw when they were losing 2-1 till the very last minute in fact. And they were saved by a penalty. So it's not something Remarkable Nathan: Hmm. Amogh: that Liverpool did in the game to control the game. Ronaq: and even Gakpo's first goal was a frickin' banger Nathan: what a gold dude. Ronaq: from thirty twenty-five yards out. It's not gonna happen every game. Amogh: Correct. Nathan: Dude that was such a good goal. Amogh: Correct. Correct. So, Ronaq: Yeah, yeah. Amogh: you've got one point in game week one. Let's see how the next five game weeks go. I would be Nathan: Yeah! Amogh: very surprised if Liverpool start winning or playing cohesively in these first game weeks. I feel like you're going to have a very slow start to the season and I feel Nathan: It's Amogh: like eventually you're going to end somewhere around mid table. But that is the first season and I feel like second season onwards if the Liverpool ownership which Nathan: Mmm... Yeah. Amogh: is now under Bezos and all with the consortium, if they stick with Nathan: Yeah, yeah, fully agree dude. Amogh: Hira Ola then happy times will come but this first season is going to be very very very tough. Nathan: After that, let's And I think Barkhola should there. I think once Barcula Ronaq: Onde é, Gar? Nathan: also comes in and plus also Akitike is injured so you know if Akitike was there there would have trust I'm caught dude Akitike has been better than Isak from Ronaq: Yeah. Nathan: what we've seen in the past season at least okay Isak has been injured as well fair but in Ronaq: Yeah. Nathan: terms of just overall performance Akitike dude so Akitike is also on KS has still Amogh: No, 100 % 100 % equity has been great. Nathan: somehow injured so I think once okay, if KS also comes in for the next game that could sort of make a difference and plus Liverpool just need a CDM right wing, of course, and one more centre back or right back. That's that's it. And then I could be like, okay, then this team looks in a decent spot to compete, not for the title, obviously, but top four at least top five if maybe. So like you said, bro, I'm yeah. I think it's going to, I'm giving, I'll give Vira Hula one season, like just to, you know, set the fundamentals and stuff. Ronaq: You know, I think it's a it's a whole team in flux where they've obviously changed managers. They Nathan: Yeah. Ronaq: are changing the center back pairing. They have the Mo Sala, who's been an integral figure for the past eight, ten years, Nathan: Exactly, dude. Ronaq: has departed. That right wing spot is such a huge gaping hole in their team that they need to be you know that needs to be fixed. They're gonna get Barcola. Victor Munoz is there, who's a relatively new young player, there's Angumoha coming in, the best position of him is yet to be decided. Then we have Nathan: Yeah. Ronaq: Words who's still trying to hit the ground running and then Nathan: the ground running. Ronaq: you know the whole the 90 minutes goes by like for sixty, seventy minutes it's Words trying to do his thing in the you know at as a cam and then Nathan: Dup. Ronaq: Shabozli finally ends the game there at cam. So it's the the whole team is in flux. Nathan: Yeah, problem is correct. Yesterday's game. Gravenbird should have played a proper six. I mean, like last season, words and so both should have pushed up ahead. What's on the left? So on the right, of course. But unfortunately, all three of them really wanted to press high on me. And I get that sort of structure. So to say, but no, that's why we need a number six. Train Neyoni promising player young, but I don't think he's ready for the job right now. We just just get a number six and be like, okay, like I think ever since wine Alden and Alcantara, they are like Liverpool have just not had a good number six, sorry, Amogh: Fabienio. Nathan: Fabinho. Amogh: No, very, very true. Nathan: So Ronaq: Number six I mean honestly it's the Nathan: well, CDM like we just need a nice CDM and Jalo Center back. Arahoh like Mukesh also said on one of the last few episodes that just another body which will make a difference. Joe Gomez is still to play. Yes. I mean, he is injury prone, he can make some sort of difference. I'm quite optimistic about Liverpool because like they are finally playing better football. Like they are They are on the front foot. Irrawala is already taking risks. He removed words on the 65th minute or something. He removed. And yeah, one more thing. have, I think Gakpo. I think Gakpo could really play well under Irrawala. So I, if, yeah, Ronaq: If he stays. Amogh: No? Refuse stays. Nathan: if he stays, if you ask me, I would like him to stay one more season. You, maybe we could just gash in on a right winger for now, maybe two. one right winger maybe you can just risk this season if not the first half of the season at least till January with only N'Guma and Gakpo on the left wing and with Victor Munoz and whoever comes in PSG player man by A Barcoal has Ronaq: Barcola. Barcola. Nathan: left no Barcolla left winger right? Wait. So, Ronaq: Yeah. Yeah, Marco è la fringa. Nathan: so like the thing is Barcolla comes in, Gakupo is going for sure. I don't see no way Rio is going to play. If Rio plays right wing going forward then Eravola has lost it dude. I don't think. No chance. Because like you could see it like this guy was trying to cut in and he's just getting intercepted by almost every defender and but yeah, I'm just to summarize I am just excited. because I like the fact that he is taking risks. am like, huh, even if you lose, let's attack, like attack and lose. Like I'll still take that rather than. Ronaq: You know, one player I want to talk about from the Liverpool Nathan: K Ronaq: Newcastle match is actually a couple players Nathan: Louis Miley. Ronaq: is no, is Yohan Visa. Amogh: Hmm. Ronaq: and in Nathan: yeah, yeah, yeah. Ronaq: partnership with William Osula, who's their young striker. Amogh: Yeah. Nathan: Mmm. Ronaq: Visa is so good if he can stay fit. He he could be talismanic Nathan: Yeah dude dude he was good from Brentford also bro. Ronaq: for Newcastle. He was so good to take up the ball. He he took up responsibility. You know, just that is what the mindset is, man. Like he's not the tallest, he's not the strongest, he's not the fastest, but he wants to take responsibility to take that team forward. And that is a brilliant person to have in your team. If you can stay fit, he's gonna do wonders for Newcastle. Nathan: Even this guy. Amogh: Let's quickly. Nathan: What's the guy who came on? Joe Willock? Joe Willock. Yeah, he also what a that was a good substitution Ronaq: Joey, what a goal. What a goal. Amogh: Crazy. Nathan: and finish. Yeah. Amogh: Joe Willick has Ronaq: What Amogh: also been, he's been a weird player for Newcastle because when he came in, he started off really well. Then he had a long period where he was just not working out. And you Nathan: Yeah. Amogh: know, one game only, one goal only, but let's see. Yeah. Ronaq: He's never been able to cement that central midfield position because he's he he's he's kind of a box to box, but he can't really defend too well. he's Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: he's he's an attacking midfielder, but he's not all the way through. So it's just you can't really place him. As a Amogh: Yeah. Yeah. Nathan: Hmm. Ronaq: part of a three in midfield, he can play there, but you can't expect him to do a job for you 90 minute after 90 minute, match after match, week after week. It's just not there. Amogh: Yeah. Nathan: Mm. Amogh: But yes, let's talk about the team that Kodi Gakko is probably rumored to be going to and the team that has made some interesting moves in the transfer market but still got whooped 3-0 by Brentford. Tottenham Hotspur, dude. Like under Deserby, Nathan: I was surprised. I was surprised. Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: you would have thought that after everything that happened last season and after Deserby came in for the last few games of season and managed to keep them in the Premier League. this season under this manager with a full free preseason would be slightly different but fuck I feel bad for Spurs fans like it is very clear that Spurs and United were the rightful finalists of the Europa League the levels of mediocrity across the board Nathan: Hmm Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: in both these clubs to be by Brinkford after like Deserby will have probably Ronaq: See, Amogh: killed some Ronaq: Brentford are a very difficult team at their home, at their stadium. And that has been the case even last season. They're a completely different team at home and a completely different team away from home. So Nathan: Hmm. Ronaq: some would say it was a tricky fixture to begin with. Some would also say our expectations of Spurs were also really high on the back of the summer window they've had. but the reality is they just were Outplayed and how. Kinski, I don't know how good or bad a goalkeeper he is, but he was he just didn't seem the whole Spurs team didn't seem to be up for it. they've got players like Van Heken, Senese, Robo in defense, but I don't know, man, they were just not up for it. Amogh: I just feel like Nathan: you Amogh: with United as as Perz, the first game week is just getting everybody up to speed. It's a write-off almost. Ronaq: So, so one thing I want like I'd like to point out is United very specifically went in for Baleba instead of any other midfield options that they were looking at. Forget the price and everything, but it's the profile that I'm talking about. Baleba is a strong, athletic, Nathan: Hmm. Ronaq: left footed, central defensive midfielder. He's a proper six who's good on the ball, who can turn on the ball, who's fast, strong, Nathan: That's true. Ronaq: and tall. There's not one player in Spurs who matches that profile. And you need that profile in midfield. Even a Spurs have Onana. Sorry, even a Villa have Onana. Even Arsenal have Declan Rice, United had Casemiro, City had Rodri, Chelsea have Caicedo, who's not the tallest, but he's really strong, really tenacious. You just need a six who's willing to do the dirty work. And Tottenham's midfield pairing was Tonali and Bergwal. Tonali doesn't have the legs to do the chasing around for 90, and Bergwal is not the six. He's not a six. Amogh: Yeah. Yeah. Nathan: Yeah. Ronaq: So, yeah, I think they were just left exposed in the midfield, and which is which is ironic because they spent so much in midfield. And you know, that is where United and Spurs' transfer Nathan: Cheers. Ronaq: philosophy kind of comes into play. They spent 185 million on those two. United spent 140 on Baleba, Santos, and T. Lemons. I'm not saying one for one, maybe those would be better players than you know the the ones you've gotten, but we looked at each profile at what we needed and have Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: s you know, hopefully, hopefully strengthened the midfield. Amogh: They lost all players. Nathan: Yeah, we're just gonna bring that up. Ronaq: Yeah. Nathan: Ahem. Amogh: to leave who else who else left consul Ronaq: Morgan Rogers. Amogh: Morgan Rogers Nathan: tailaments. Amogh: went for yeah of course Morgan Rogers to Chelsea Tillman's to United and they've got garnacho so you know it's a it's a fuck all transfer window across all aspects Nathan: I just I'm just looking at their fixtures they play Arsenal at home next Aston Villa so come on Villa Amogh: Hmm Ronaq: Yeah. Yeah. Nathan: do something for us yes Ronaq: Ha ha. Nathan: up the Villa no chance it's not happening Arsenal are gonna win this one Amogh: Do you think, but do you think it's a big see they've got they've got some interesting players as well. Majo they've got who's an interesting young player. He's injured. Ronaq: He's injured, no? Maj, Majo, Maj To. Amogh: Yeah, he's injured, but he does have a lot Nathan: Ahem. Ahem. Amogh: of potential. So whenever he does come back, you know, that's going to be quite interesting, but it's Ronaq: Did you all see that Unay Emery interview? who's your starting goalkeeper or whatever? The reporter, Mark Bezot. And he just kept Nathan: Hehehehe Ronaq: repeating Mark Bezoth like five times across different questions. Like Mark Amogh: Yeah. Yeah. Ronaq: Bizot. Amogh: But now they've got Zion Suzuki, who is a spectacular goalkeeper, who is, Ronaq: Yeah. Yeah yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Nathan: Wow yeah yeah Japan goalkeeper Amogh: I'm telling you, he is going to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world. I feel like. Ronaq: Hundred percent. United were also in for him at one point. Nathan: I knew he was gonna be... Yeah, I knew a Premier League club is gonna cash in on him. Like, I was actually thinking it could have been like a Brighton, Newcastle, Fulham. Amogh: Yeah, we were, United were linked with him, United, United were linked with him, United were linked with him. I said United were linked with him for a long time before they Ronaq: Yeah, yeah. Amogh: settled on Sunny Lamins but... Nathan: Are United still linked with the Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall? Lewis Hall. Amogh: Louis Hall. Ronaq: Lewis Hall. So we are linked to him, but Matthias Yasler, right after the Newcastle Liverpool match, came out very I think it was Peter Schmeichel interviewing him, and Schmeichel very outright said that Manchester United are looking to buy a left back and he was just straight up no chance, it's not happening. So kinda shut the Nathan: Hehehehehe Ronaq: doors to that. United seem to be in for Alec Balde from Barcelona, and yeah, if that deal does come to Amogh: Hmm Nathan: What? Dude that's a good Ronaq: happen. It would be a brilliant deal. Absolutely. Balde was also left out of the Balde was left out of Barcelona's Game Week Nathan: I would be so jealous because I like that player. Ronaq: one squad. he's absolutely fine, fit, playing, was training, but still left out. So you know, just those minor hints that kind of come out of the Twitter side of the transfer market. Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: And yeah, I can just I just hope we're able to pull off a deal there. Nathan: So wait, who are United's left backs? Luke Shaw and... That's it, Ronaq: Dogu. Nathan: Luke Shaw. Amogh: Luke Sodorgoo, Harry Amas if you are looking at younger. Nathan: if at all decent Ronaq: Yeah. Nathan: no Dorgu and I don't know Ronaq: Yeah, but Dorgu, where does he play? God knows. Lukshaw can't play you know Amogh: Dorgu Nathan: Luxor is done dude. Luxor has been playing with Amogh: is a left wingback. Dorgu is a left... Nathan: United for what? 8 seasons? 9 seasons now no? 7, 8? More than 10? Amogh: More than 10. More, more, more. Ronaq: More, more, more. Mourinho got him in probably twenty fifteen. I think it's his eleventh, tenth or eleventh season. Nathan: please stay at United. Retire at this glorious club. Amogh: He testimonial now. No, but Ronaq: Sure, why not? Amogh: like Ronak was saying the profile of Dorgu is left wing back. He made sense in a 5 at the back under Amorim. But now that we are not playing that system anymore. Ronaq: He was the best signing under Amarim. Like for that role, I don't see a better left wing back than Dorgo. Absolutely. Amogh: Yeah. Yeah. Ronaq: But if the position changes, the formation changes, you know, stuff changes. Amogh: Yeah, yeah. But do you think Lewis Hall is going to be the one that that that makes a difference for this United team? Ronaq: I would take Balde over Hall. I just Yeah. So I don't want a Lewis Amogh: yeah. Nathan: yeah, Balde Balde any day man. The fact that you even bro I'm I'm Ronaq: Hall. Nathan: just listening to this only makes me feel jealous. Like cause I really like Balde dude. From what I've seen at him at BASA like wow, great player. Amogh: You Ronaq: Yeah. Yeah, I you know You know when you I mean even the the links with Balde have really been surprising to me because I was assuming K when we're not getting Lewis Hall for whatever sixty, seventy, eighty million, I think, because Newcastle are really gonna s you know, f dig in their feet to not sell him. I didn't think that deal was ever going to happen. I thought United would go in someone like a Rahm from Leipzig, who I Amogh: Hmm. Ronaq: think was a release clause for thirty, thirty-five million and we all know Omar Amogh: Yeah. Ronaq: Barada loves release clause, you know. Amogh: Yep. Ronaq: You just go in, pay, and you you get the player. But if they are exploring a deal for Balde, you know, this is where there's been so much criticism over United's transfer dealings over the past so many seasons. But this is where you kind of see that there is some thinking behind it. Our recruitment over the past two seasons since seniors have come in has been spectacular. They've taken their time, they've not spent huge money, or you know, maybe they have whether they needed to last year on Sheshko, on Embermo, on Cunia. But they didn't go out spending eighty five million on Mateas Fernandez and hundred on Tonale. It it just it wouldn't have been the right thing for United. Amogh: Yeah, I'm quite happy with those dealings and fingers crossed, like hopefully it works out for United in terms of in terms of the transfers that are made Ronaq: I do. Yeah. Amogh: and the ones that go forward. But just coming back to Aston Villa before we wrap Ronaq: Brighton, yeah. Amogh: up, where do we see this Villa side going this season, right under Emery because we know Emery is a spectacular Nathan: seventh. Amogh: coach, but Ronaq: Bottom half. Amogh: it's going to be very tough also because it looks like Olly Watkins might be on his way out as well. Nathan: What? To? Amogh: And if he leaves, then it'll be a... Yeah, Ronaq: Then they're gonna buy Nicholas Jackson off of Chelsea. Amogh: but again, is that a good signing for them? Because it's not like Nicholas Jackson has set the Premier League alight, right? You're talking about replacing Ollie Watkins who's been a talisman for Aston Villa. And I know he's not getting any younger, so this is the right time to cash in on him. Fair enough. But they're going to miss his goals. Especially when Rogers is also not Nathan: Who is Watkins linked with? Amogh: there. Morgan Rogers and... Ronaq: Al Hilal. Nathan: Ahem. Amogh: and Man United. Outside links to Man United as Nathan: don't happen. Amogh: Because of course every f**king person is linked with Man United. They will link too, Nathan. You on Andrews, right? They keep uploading on your Instagram. Someone will see United's scouts and say, Omar Barada that he is Nathan Gomes. Nathan: Yeah, one, two months. I two, three weeks. Yeah, I'll tap in. I'll in. Amogh: Someone will Chief Scout to Omar Berada. We have a Portuguese talent, Nathan Gomesh. He Ja Gomesh. Release clause of Unlimited Sarpotel. With poi, of course. With poi. Ronaq: Release clause B one rupees. Nathan: Two! And Vindaloo. With Poey! Add-ons. Add-ons. Ronaq: wait, Amogh: Alright, that is as good a time as any to end this episode. I thought I'll take a quick nap because I was on one hour of sleep. I just went Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: and lay down. Immediately I have passed out. I don't remember anything like dream, dream, kuch nahi, just blank. Ronaq: What? Amogh: And I wake up to like 15 missed calls from my wife, three missed calls from Ronan, messages from everyone saying, bye, are you okay? Where's the link? Are we doing a stream or not? And I woken up at 9.20. Nathan: One hour of sleep. Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: 9.20, four hours I was just passed out dude, knocked out, unconscious. Like people are wondering if Nathan: Wow. One hour of sleep you are on. Amogh: I've died, yeah. One hour of sleep. I shot for an ad all night, got home, basically went to set at 11 PM, shot till 7.30 AM, got home by 9 AM, freshened up, left for a narration at 10 AM. finished that narration at 2 PM, came home, quickly had lunch, got in a writing session at 2.30 PM. That writing session lasted till 5.30 PM. So I was just back to back to back to Nathan: Dude, I feel tired listening to this. Amogh: Yeah, Ronaq: Yeah. Amogh: yeah, exactly. But yes, that was that. this is this. But yes, hopefully this will not be the case next Friday. We'll be back to preview Game Week 2. We'll FPL discussions in the midweek.
