[00:00:00] First, lollipop, then a chipkilly, finally, control your anger and now watch my review of Yudhra

[00:00:08] A action film that will weaponize your mind like a missile and now meet a brand new action hero

[00:00:16] The young and dynamic Siddhan Chaturvedi who is the strength and courage in this film

[00:00:22] Hi, I am your own audience first review, Umar Kureshi

[00:00:26] Catch me on my podcast channel, Showbox, on YouTube, Spotify and all leading audio channels

[00:00:32] You can also find me on Insta Yudhra on OQspot and on Showbox

[00:00:37] So let's launch this review

[00:00:38] Yudhra is a troubled young man whose father, a decorated and feared police officer, Girish Dixit and mother die in a car accident when Yudhra was still in the womb

[00:00:48] This causes reduced blood supply to the embryo's brain and he grows up sanki

[00:00:52] Violence and beating have no effect on him and he flies into a greater rage than Carrie on her prom night and smashes everyone inside

[00:01:00] He is adopted by another cop, Kartik Rathod played by Gajraj Rao who cares for him as does Cop Rahman played by Ram Kapoor

[00:01:08] But angry Bachcha Yudhra cares only for his pet lizard Lizzie and sees red when his classmates drown it in his own lunchbox

[00:01:16] Poor Lizzie, what a tizzy

[00:01:18] Yudhra flies into a rage and tries to drown the culprit and his ex-pel from school

[00:01:22] What a blunder, go suck on that one, says the principal and Yudhra promptly pulls out his all day sucker

[00:01:29] Yes this boy sucks on lollipops to draw his bagalpanthi like asterix's magic potion

[00:01:35] Inspector Rahman sees the potential to channel Yudhra's mad anger into the national carrot cops and sends him there

[00:01:42] Yudhra listens to him because he respects Rahman and his best friends with his daughter Nikhar

[00:01:47] He becomes a man in white uniform straight out of a few good men and moves to Pune

[00:01:53] There he reconnects with Nikhat and romance blooms but his anger ball behavior gets him caught martial

[00:01:59] Until fed up, daddy K gives up on lost cause son like a lizard's discarded tail and moves on to another career with few lizards, politics

[00:02:08] Yudhra with his spirit animal a lizard now tattooed on his shoulder is planted in jail by Cop Rahman

[00:02:15] to get in on the inside and crack open an international drug cartel run by a bearded bald butcher named Feroz

[00:02:23] played by Raj Arjun, Feroz's son Raghav Juhal doesn't like this of course

[00:02:28] and as Yudhra becomes Rahman's insider into the drug gang's new secrets unfold

[00:02:33] Ravi Udayawar who directed the well received mom in 2017 directs this one

[00:02:38] He presents some brilliant visuals and shows a grasp of the action genre

[00:02:42] Siddhan Chaturvedi a good actor by any art stick is terrific in the nicely choreographed action scene

[00:02:48] In spite of an innocent looking baby face that may not be convincing to all

[00:02:53] He's a good actor and makes up much like baby face Kristen Bale in American Psycho

[00:02:58] Sid does well as Desi Hulk

[00:03:01] Don't make me angry get it? Malbika Mohanan as his love interest and the tormented daughter of Cop Rahman is quite good

[00:03:07] Ram Kapoor is an autopilot good as expected

[00:03:10] Raghav Juhal is terrific as the stylized killer

[00:03:13] He has huge potential to become a noteworthy villain

[00:03:16] His one fabulous fight sequence in a music store in Madera is beautifully choreographed

[00:03:21] In fact it's the highlight of the film where musical instruments are used as weapons

[00:03:25] And a bunch of retro villains like Feroz, Oso Shakaal, Sikandar Oso Daniden Zongpa

[00:03:31] and some underbelly in jail Oso Dawn

[00:03:34] Don't miss the cutest kid playing young Yudra

[00:03:37] His cheeks shake in anger when he gets angered like a cute baby hulk

[00:03:41] The movie has potential yes but before any scene setting or explosion builds up it's over

[00:03:47] The emo required for a revenge drama is MIA missing in action and the story is convenient

[00:03:53] Portugal and Madera look lovely one song is good and action rocks but there's nothing new on offer

[00:03:59] It's American Psycho meets Desi Hero

[00:04:02] Still watch it if you like Sid and action and retro style Batman

[00:04:06] It's a time pass watch

[00:04:08] I rate Yudra 3 lollipops

[00:04:12] Oops just kidding I meant 3 stars
