This festival is like a kaleidoscope where people from all walks of life come together to add their bits of colour to create a carnival which has achieved world-wide recognition. Durga Puja has been declared as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Asian Paints Sharad Shamman is a pioneer since 1985 in celebrating and honouring the best Pujo celebrations in respect of art, taste and culture. This year will be the 38th year of Sharad Shamman, a strong testament to Asian Paints legacy of four decades in Kolkata and West Bengal. শরতের শুরুতেই মাঠের ধারে মাথা নাড়া কাশফুল ও পেঁজা তুলো মেঘের আনাগোনার সাথেই বাঙালির উঠোনে এসে পৌঁছয় ঢাকের বোল ও পুজো-পুজো গন্ধ। রাজবাড়ি-জমিদার বাড়ির আঙিনা ছেড়ে বেরিয়ে কীভাবে দুর্গাপুজো সবর্জনের অর্থাৎ ‘সর্বজনীন’ হয়ে উঠল, তা ইতিহাসের এক রোমাঞ্চকর অধ্যায়। সময়ের সাথে সাথে সেখানে একচালা থেকে থিমের পালা ! প্রবাস থেকে পাড়ার পূজোয় ফেরা, বন্ধুদের সঙ্গে জমিয়ে আড্ডা, অষ্টমীর অঞ্জলি, প্রথম দেখায় প্রেম থেকে সারারাত প্যান্ড্যাল হপিং, কলকাতায় পুজো যেন এক রঙিন কোলাজ। সেই 1985 সাল থেকে শিল্প, সংস্কৃতি এবং গুনগত উৎকর্ষতার নিরিখে বাছাই করা পুজোগুলিকে এশিয়ান পেইন্টস শরদ সম্মান এর শিরোপা দেয়া হয়। এখন তো শারদোৎসব মানেই এশিয়ান পেইন্টস শরদ সম্মান। আর এই বছর কলকাতার দুর্গাপূজা UNESCO দ্বারা Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity স্বীকৃতি অর্জন করায়, পুজোর celebration টা আরও স্পেশাল। তাই শরদ সম্মান এর 38তম বর্ষে আমরা সেলিব্রেট করছি এই উৎসবের সঙ্গে জড়িয়ে থাকা 'মধুর স্মৃতি'। কলকাতার দুর্গোৎসবের ইতিহাসে চার দশকের বর্ণাঢ্য যাত্রার একটি limited series podcast এশিয়ান পেন্টস শারদ সম্মান সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত জানতে, নিম্নলিখিত পেজগুলি দেখুন।
