The ancestral home of former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb was attacked allegedly by CPIM-backed goons this evening. This comes a day ahead of rituals held every year in the memory of Biplab Deb's father, Hirudhan Deb. Sources in the police said that a shop and some vehicles were set afire and vandalised after some party flags were destroyed. Sources in the BJP claimed that the ones who torched the house were CPIM supporters.
