00:00:00

Speaker 1: The best way to get people to take action is

00:00:02

Speaker 1: to have some kind of a certification within your own

00:00:04

Speaker 1: community in this podcast. I'm going to be answering the

00:00:07

Speaker 1: question on how to create a certification program in your

00:00:10

Speaker 1: community that inspires them to take action. Let's get in.

00:00:15

Speaker 1: Hey there sis here. Welcome to yet another episode of

00:00:17

Speaker 1: the Freedom Business podcast. And if you'd like to know

00:00:18

Speaker 1: more about this and if you're not yet subscribed to this,

00:00:21

Speaker 1: please make sure that you subscribe on Apple and Spotify

00:00:23

Speaker 1: for more episodes.

00:00:25

Speaker 1: So let's talk about uh Gamification here and certification more

00:00:30

Speaker 1: specific to community building and inspiring people to take action.

00:00:33

Speaker 1: See if you see the day and age that we're

00:00:36

Speaker 1: in right now where there's chat GP T there's Google,

00:00:39

Speaker 1: there's uh youtube, there are so many different channels where

00:00:42

Speaker 1: people can actually go and get information.

00:00:44

Speaker 1: The most important part of today's day and age is

00:00:49

Speaker 1: that people don't lack information, they have so much of information.

00:00:53

Speaker 1: And in fact, it is information overload and what people

00:00:56

Speaker 1: lack is focused implementation and mentorship. And when it comes

00:01:00

Speaker 1: to mentorship, it's about, you know, systematic learning and systematic implementation.

00:01:05

Speaker 1: That's what people lack. So for that to happen, there

00:01:09

Speaker 1: has to be some kind of a certification

00:01:11

Speaker 1: and this certification is not like, you know, a university

00:01:14

Speaker 1: certification where you take the certificate to go get a

00:01:16

Speaker 1: job or something like that. Like even if you're running a,

00:01:18

Speaker 1: a community that is brand new, you can give a

00:01:22

Speaker 1: certificate just from your side, you know, just a certificate

00:01:25

Speaker 1: of completion where you do your own evaluation and criteria

00:01:28

Speaker 1: based on, you know, what are the different milestones that

00:01:31

Speaker 1: your students are going to be completing?

00:01:34

Speaker 1: So how do you create a certification program in your community?

00:01:37

Speaker 1: The way that I have done it is what I

00:01:39

Speaker 1: want to share with you right now. I keep it

00:01:41

Speaker 1: really simple.

00:01:42

Speaker 1: There needs to be three levels of certification.

00:01:46

Speaker 1: The first level of certification is more of an action

00:01:50

Speaker 1: based certification or a task based certification. Let's say you

00:01:54

Speaker 1: design a 30 day challenge or a 60 day challenge

00:01:57

Speaker 1: or a 90 day challenge. And if people complete all

00:02:00

Speaker 1: the tasks that you've given them during that time frame,

00:02:03

Speaker 1: then you can give them the first level certification, which

00:02:06

Speaker 1: is more of a completion of the task. And these

00:02:09

Speaker 1: tasks uh completion can be also evaluated.

00:02:13

Speaker 1: For example, in my community, we have something called the

00:02:15

Speaker 1: Freedom Finisher Award. It takes 90 days to complete and

00:02:18

Speaker 1: there's a 10 point checklist that they need to complete.

00:02:21

Speaker 1: They have to finish some assignments. They need to get

00:02:23

Speaker 1: clear on their product. They need to launch their course,

00:02:25

Speaker 1: they need to launch their website. So that checklist of

00:02:28

Speaker 1: items that needs to be completed needs to be defined first.

00:02:31

Speaker 1: And the duration of the challenge also needs to be

00:02:35

Speaker 1: defined whether it's 30 60 or 90 days and then

00:02:37

Speaker 1: you launch this challenge.

00:02:40

Speaker 1: The second level of certification is more of a, a

00:02:44

Speaker 1: certification where you can give an award to somebody who's

00:02:48

Speaker 1: achieved a result.

00:02:50

Speaker 1: The first certification is a task based. The second one

00:02:53

Speaker 1: is a result based.

00:02:55

Speaker 1: So if you're teaching uh you know, weight loss, then

00:02:59

Speaker 1: if they lose so many number of kilos of weight

00:03:03

Speaker 1: within a particular time, then you can reward them for that.

00:03:06

Speaker 1: That becomes a certification. Though, if you're teaching business coaching,

00:03:10

Speaker 1: if they implement these things in the different business, and

00:03:12

Speaker 1: if they're able to get a business result in terms

00:03:14

Speaker 1: of profitability revenues, then you give them a certification. In

00:03:17

Speaker 1: my case. If anyone uh makes over three lac rupees

00:03:21

Speaker 1: in revenue, I give them something called the Hall of

00:03:23

Speaker 1: Fame Award.

00:03:24

Speaker 1: And this is not like a typical certification, but I

00:03:27

Speaker 1: actually give them a physical award on stage when they,

00:03:30

Speaker 1: you know, attend my live event and my program. And

00:03:32

Speaker 1: besides that, they also get spotlighted in front of hundreds

00:03:34

Speaker 1: of members in the community in our Hall of Fame spotlights.

00:03:37

Speaker 1: So the second form of certification is more to do

00:03:40

Speaker 1: with the result based certification. And the third one is

00:03:44

Speaker 1: a superstar. So I give an award called the,

00:03:47

Speaker 1: the One Crow Champion Award. And of course, I have

00:03:50

Speaker 1: a 10 Crow Champion Award also. So the, the One

00:03:53

Speaker 1: Crow 10 Crow Champion Awards is the ultimate certification to

00:03:57

Speaker 1: show

00:03:58

Speaker 1: that somebody has crossed a tangible milestones in their knowledge business. Now,

00:04:04

Speaker 1: besides this, I also have uh my diamond certification. So

00:04:08

Speaker 1: these three certifications are more to do with the milestones

00:04:12

Speaker 1: in terms of

00:04:13

Speaker 1: actions and achievements. But in my uh membership, if you

00:04:17

Speaker 1: look at membership based certifications, I have a diamond certification

00:04:20

Speaker 1: where currently we have set a, a rule where uh

00:04:24

Speaker 1: if anyone attends any of those calls, they get points.

00:04:28

Speaker 1: If they achieve any of these milestones, they get points,

00:04:30

Speaker 1: points and you have a point system based evaluation criteria

00:04:34

Speaker 1: where if somebody scores over 10 points over a span

00:04:37

Speaker 1: of a year or within a span of a year,

00:04:39

Speaker 1: they get certified as a diamond club member and we've

00:04:42

Speaker 1: extended the certification to three years. So if they score

00:04:45

Speaker 1: 30 points over a span of three years, uh which

00:04:48

Speaker 1: also includes attendance points and achievement points,

00:04:52

Speaker 1: they, they get a master's certificate. So certification can be

00:04:56

Speaker 1: in two parts. One is like the three step approach

00:04:59

Speaker 1: that I shared with you, which is a task based,

00:05:01

Speaker 1: result based and superstar based. And another one, you can

00:05:03

Speaker 1: have a certification which is point based. So if they

00:05:06

Speaker 1: score so many number of points um

00:05:09

Speaker 1: within a particular time of a time frame that is there,

00:05:13

Speaker 1: then they can be certified. So certifications like these does

00:05:19

Speaker 1: not need any accretion or connection with any university or

00:05:22

Speaker 1: anything like that, you just give the certificate from your

00:05:25

Speaker 1: side and like how I do it from my side

00:05:27

Speaker 1: and I have an internal evaluation process. So somebody has

00:05:30

Speaker 1: to apply for a one Court Champion award. I have

00:05:32

Speaker 1: my teams will actually evaluate, will take it on a

00:05:35

Speaker 1: Zoom call. They check their bank account, they check their

00:05:38

Speaker 1: payment gateways and only if everything is clear, only then

00:05:42

Speaker 1: the award is given. And we also do a double

00:05:43

Speaker 1: check whether they have followed our system and they have

00:05:45

Speaker 1: implemented exactly what you've taught, not just because they made

00:05:48

Speaker 1: some money uh through other means. And then they just

00:05:51

Speaker 1: want to get the award on stage just for visibility.

00:05:53

Speaker 1: So we check those things when before we giving the award.

00:05:56

Speaker 1: So coming back to the main point is certifications are

00:06:00

Speaker 1: uh you know, very powerful to inspire people to move forward,

00:06:05

Speaker 1: to make progress and to take action.

00:06:08

Speaker 1: And certifications also is a, it's a merit based system

00:06:12

Speaker 1: that allows you to also

00:06:15

Speaker 1: uh look at which of your students are performing well

00:06:18

Speaker 1: to give them the spotlight. And if they have achieved

00:06:21

Speaker 1: specific certifications, you can empower them to again uh lead

00:06:25

Speaker 1: the tribe to facilitate calls and stuff like that. So

00:06:27

Speaker 1: I also choose many of our facilitators in our community

00:06:30

Speaker 1: based on if they have done the diamond certification, if

00:06:32

Speaker 1: they have been committed to the process, if they've been

00:06:34

Speaker 1: attending all the calls, and if they've achieved results, so

00:06:37

Speaker 1: that way it becomes a easier criteria for me to

00:06:39

Speaker 1: empower the second line uh leaders in a community building format.

00:06:43

Speaker 1: So overall, uh this is the way on how to

00:06:46

Speaker 1: create certification program in your community. Uh based on your topic,

00:06:49

Speaker 1: you can tweak things around. So if you want to

00:06:52

Speaker 1: do like a 33 month certification or a 30 day

00:06:54

Speaker 1: certification or 90 day or a one year certification, you

00:06:57

Speaker 1: can define various parameters

00:07:01

Speaker 1: to ensure that certification is rolled out. But keep in

00:07:04

Speaker 1: mind that if you want to truly get the best

00:07:06

Speaker 1: result of your students,

00:07:09

Speaker 1: they need to see the end goal

00:07:12

Speaker 1: certification. If it is designed purely based on just the

00:07:16

Speaker 1: information or consumption, like in the formal education system, the

00:07:19

Speaker 1: more you can mug and vomit in an exam, then

00:07:21

Speaker 1: you get certified. But uh in a digital coaching process,

00:07:24

Speaker 1: your whole certification should be around their skills, building part

00:07:29

Speaker 1: and the results getting part. And of course the checklist

00:07:33

Speaker 1: of what, you know, what actions that they need to

00:07:34

Speaker 1: take towards the end goal. So the end goal has

00:07:36

Speaker 1: to be defined

00:07:37

Speaker 1: and then you set the milestones before that and then

00:07:40

Speaker 1: for each milestone, you assign a kind of a certification,

00:07:45

Speaker 1: you know, that can be evaluated also by your teams.

00:07:47

Speaker 1: So I hope this is giving you some clarity if

00:07:49

Speaker 1: you're not really a part of our community. And if

00:07:51
