[00:00:49] for you, sucks for you whatever but i for one had a happy breakfast race.

[00:00:55] Fine awesome start to a Sunday I guess Sarang would agree too yeah we are your hosts i am Akash

[00:01:02] and i'm Sarang and I guess we're already into it Sarang your thoughts here well I mean yeah it was a great

[00:01:09] race I think we got a different winner for a change yeah i thought this year is just going to be max all

[00:01:15] along so yeah proven wrong i'm glad shows that Red Bull are human and they still do make mistakes

[00:01:24] yeah yeah that's great but you know what like of course like we got some awesome drive by

[00:01:29] science who was you know of course in the hospital a couple weeks ago all that a couple good fights as well

[00:01:35] but at the same time as much max like went out I thought oh wow this is going to be you know like a insane race now

[00:01:42] but still it kind of fizzled out in the sense that it kind of turned out to be like a boring race towards the end

[00:01:50] but yeah but still i'll take what I get no for at least there's there's subtle change

[00:01:59] and my statement I really liked it i liked it through and through yeah sure maybe one or two laps

[00:02:06] or maybe five here and there but but overall I think there were good battles happening in the back in the bottom

[00:02:12] pack the camera men had to do some good work this Sunday is what I felt because there's something

[00:02:21] happening everywhere before before we proceed for everyone listening to us who's new to the

[00:02:28] show a few disclaimers because I'm assuming you're new and you don't know what's going to happen

[00:02:34] there's gonna be dark humor we're probably gonna offend a few people obviously it's raw thoughts

[00:03:30] reason that he wins something weird happens you know and like some some drama happens and he wins

[00:03:36] and then and everybody gonna forget about that oh that too right like poor guy man I'm like for once

[00:03:43] I didn't have a clean victory right but before that rate like 15 days since a surgery

[00:03:51] he is after the whole weekend he's limping his way to get a trophy and then his way back

[00:03:58] yeah and at the same time he was struggling to get out I could see that

[00:04:04] and even after that he says yeah I'm sort of not feeling the best or whatever have you

[00:04:10] and sticks it to P2 in qualifying and goes to also say this in a very confident way

[00:04:18] that if I'm given a good car I can deliver right it's sort of like more putting a resume out there

[00:04:26] of sorts like hey I know how to deliver when others don't win-quink my team mate but I do it when it matters

[00:04:36] so you know what a counterpoint to that is that I think they should keep him always at the edge

[00:04:43] like this like every team he goes to they're like this is your last this is your last year here

[00:04:48] and then he like it gives out these performances

[00:04:52] they're the prime of things and make him yeah the prime of stability

[00:04:58] oh man but was there anything wrong which shalls is car or because I know I think

[00:05:05] I remember hearing something during quality maybe during the race or something like there's something

[00:05:10] off like I can't remember the details and obviously I've not read through it much

[00:05:15] but if anyone listening write it to us like if anything was wrong but but Sarang do you remember?

[00:05:21] No not really I think last race he had some issues I recall that but I don't know

[00:05:26] anything about this week and I don't hear anything specifically

[00:05:29] and I don't know I mean he was nowhere there like he was nowhere challenging signs

[00:05:34] I think at one point in fact if I remember correctly I think around lap 30 something

[00:05:40] now science was like good eight seconds or seven seconds ahead of him at one point so like

[00:05:45] he was pretty comfortable up there okay so if not the car then just tell it

[00:05:49] yeah just tell it

[00:05:50] skill issue

[00:05:56] one of the interesting things that I ended up noticing was

[00:06:00] I guess like maybe his first pit stop declared got a 2.1 second pit stop

[00:06:05] yeah which led him to come right outside of Perez and Alonzo

[00:06:13] and boy any half a millisecond here or there you know he would have had either like in between Perez Alonzo

[00:06:22] or like after Alonzo or whatever and had to fight us way but the good thing is that Ferrari was faster

[00:06:28] overall through the weekend on this track so him coming out he was able to quickly

[00:06:34] warm those tires up through a few corners and then yeah there was no catching in again

[00:06:39] No that's true I think Ferrari is looked fast through the weekend pretty much

[00:06:43] I think in fact at one point even during qualification I thought that maybe you know

[00:06:48] maybe this might be the qualification where Nax is not P1

[00:06:52] yeah of course that didn't happen but yeah they seemed pretty quick on the track

[00:06:57] and it was clear like Perez wasn't able to eat any you know pace through the race

[00:07:04] as such I mean of course like he got back to P5 but again like he was not like really doing very great

[00:07:10] and even Nax I think but you know now that's dependable like because Nax had issues with his breaks

[00:07:17] so we don't know for sure if it was from the very start of the race

[00:07:22] because even the start like even though it was like a quick start pretty soon like signs were pretty close by again

[00:07:29] yeah yeah yeah yeah so I think there was this issue with his break duct

[00:07:33] and I remember if I remember correctly I think there's the statement made by him

[00:07:38] that something went wonky during the race start which led to the breaks heating up

[00:07:45] and then they didn't really cool down and then it just sort of like built on to it eventually to the point where obviously

[00:07:53] they went out and even you know caused that deep impression on the tire and fire towards the end

[00:07:59] yeah I think what I heard was that basically his rare right break

[00:08:05] I think got stuck kind of and it basically was applying breaks

[00:08:11] and so it kept heating up and I think something like that

[00:08:16] and basically I think he mentioned in one of the interviews that it was like driving a car with its handbrake on

[00:08:21] so and yet he mentioned me to my right hand

[00:08:26] exactly

[00:08:28] boy but that explosion of the tire was like scary man like thank God he was just at the pit entrance

[00:08:35] there's some good right there's some good

[00:08:38] yeah

[00:08:41] there wasn't any mechanic you're like looking on the tire

[00:08:45] so were folks wondering why does the pit crew also wear like the full on safety gear

[00:08:51] now imagine this happening like he's crossing Mercedes or Ferrari and like this happens

[00:08:57] be the behold new controversy that Max tried to you know wipe out the opposition

[00:09:03] yeah going to new lens you know we are right

[00:09:08] but yeah man like the decompression and the whole fire thing was a bit unsafe

[00:09:14] I saw this funny real way they took a whole new blow at sergeant not getting his car and Albon taking it

[00:09:21] on the lines of like why didn't they pit Perez right after Max retired and give Perez his car

[00:09:30] he could have said one and

[00:09:32] right

[00:09:38] I love this

[00:09:40] like endurance racing

[00:09:42] yeah right like imagine the yanking out Perez putting Max in we'll probably credit in the show notes

[00:09:54] man oh my god when I heard that news I was like what is going on this is amazing

[00:10:11] and imagine the pressure on Albon man a I guess like let's say the team also did him

[00:10:30] but I mean like a lot of people were like complaining about this but I feel it's like totally fair

[00:10:41] if that's the case yeah sure if it's like between Carlos and Leclerc and they do this

[00:10:46] to either of them I would like totally be pissed about that

[00:10:50] but I think in this case it totally makes sense like you're going to help your driver who gets points

[00:10:56] yeah dude but think about this right as a driver what does this do to your confidence

[00:11:01] not just yourself but the team as well right

[00:11:05] like I'm actually a poster boy or a showboy or a paid seat driver

[00:11:10] like it's making that statement implicitly

[00:11:13] yeah and I mean at the same time it's also the team saying like hey if you don't try faster

[00:11:17] or do better than you are replace as well as yes this

[00:11:21] right yeah man he must be like traumatized like I'm proud of it

[00:12:47] but yeah those those three laps were just just superb

[00:12:51] yeah the bottom pack racing I really loved that race at that battle

[00:13:07] podium moment with the beauty of the cameraman capturing

[00:13:16] the candidate head nod that you know I support you

[00:13:20] and you've been doing good sort of thing in just one nod right

[00:13:26] I don't know if you saw this after the drivers got out and they meet their team

[00:13:30] and blah blah blah science senior met science

[00:13:34] and you know how they make custom on the cheek at all but like

[00:13:37] four seconds or five seconds later he did the same with

[00:13:40] Landonore is also oh interesting I didn't see that

[00:13:43] like these guys are freaking close man

[00:13:49] when the whole science and Landonore bonding I mean

[00:13:52] it's pretty close pretty close yeah
