[00:00:40] He's in jail following the arrest in a money laundering case.

[00:00:46] Indian Bihar received a jolt when 22 leaders of ILJP quit the party.

[00:00:53] They cut ties with the party over denial of log sabbatics.

[00:00:59] Hamas sticking to ceasefire conditions including Israeli military withdrawal from Gaza.

[00:01:19] In the wake of rising temperatures across the state, the India Meteorological Department

[00:01:24] on Thursday sounded a yellow alert in 12 districts.

[00:01:28] According to the weather office, maximum temperatures are likely to be around 39 degrees Celsius

[00:01:33] in Kallam and Palakar districts.

[00:01:35] The temperatures will be around 38 degrees Celsius in Threshu and Kodikore districts, around

[00:01:40] 37 degrees Celsius in Patanam Theta, Koteam and Karnu districts.

[00:01:45] It will be around 36 degrees Celsius in Theta, Alapura, Arnagulam, Malapuram and Kassar

[00:01:51] Kodikore districts from Thursday to Monday, April 8.

[00:01:58] The Delhi High Court on Thursday refused to entertain a public interest litigation seeking

[00:02:03] the removal of Arvind Keshriwal as Chief Minister.

[00:02:06] He was arrested a few days ago by the enforcement directorate in the ex-size policy linked

[00:02:11] money laundering case.

[00:02:13] The High Court said, at times, personal interest has to be subordinate to national interest.

[00:02:19] But that is his personal call.

[00:02:20] We are a court of law and have to go by the law.

[00:02:23] Your remedy does not lie here, it lies elsewhere.

[00:02:27] You go before the competent forum.

[00:02:29] A bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Manmeant PS Arohra said,

[00:02:34] The bench said it has recently dismissed a similar litigation seeking Keshriwal's

[00:02:39] removal and thus it cannot take a different view.

[00:02:43] As the court refused to interfere in the issue, Petitana Vishnu Gupta's lawyers said

[00:02:47] he has instructions to withdraw the petition and that he will approach the lieutenant

[00:02:51] Gourner with his plea.

[00:02:56] In a set back to the BJP-led NDA, 22 leaders of the Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti party,

[00:03:02] Rambulas, resigned from the party.

[00:03:05] This was after they were denied tickets to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

[00:03:10] They announced their decision as before Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his

[00:03:14] Paul campaign in the state with a Megharali in Jammu.

[00:03:19] The resignation was reportedly simultaneous.

[00:03:22] One of the leaders even accused Paswan of selling the tickets to outsiders for money.

[00:03:26] The leader said they would support the opposition India block in the upcoming election.

[00:03:32] Among other notable names to exit LJP is Satish Kumar, a former national general secretary

[00:03:38] of the party and an ex-MLA.

[00:03:40] Ravindra Singh, LJP's secretary, organization and ex-MB Reino Kushwaha are also among those

[00:03:47] who tender their resignation.

[00:03:51] Hamas chief Ismail Hanees said his Palestinian-Islamist movement at war with Israel was sticking to

[00:03:58] its conditions for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip including an Israeli military withdrawal.

[00:04:04] Israel officials visited Egypt earlier this week in a renewed effort to secure a deal.

[00:04:10] But a Palestinian official close to mediation efforts said there had been no sign of a breakthrough.

[00:04:17] We are committed to our demands, the permanent ceasefire, comprehensive and complete withdrawal

[00:04:22] of the enemy out of the Gaza Strip.

[00:04:24] The return of all displaced people to their homes, allowing all aid needed for our people

[00:04:30] in Gaza, rebuilding the Strip, lifting the blockade and achieving an honorable prisoner exchange

[00:04:36] deal.

[00:04:37] Hanees said in a televised speech marking Al-Quds aka Jerusalem Day.

[00:04:45] Rescueers searched on Thursday for dozens of people still missing a day after Taiwan's

[00:04:50] strongest earthquake on Wednesday.

[00:04:52] It was the strongest in a quarter century and damaged buildings killed 10 people and left

[00:04:57] other stranded in Ramotarias.

[00:05:00] In the eastern coastal city of Hualien near the epicenter, where Huchaybi said 48 residential

[00:05:07] buildings were damaged, some of which were tilting at precarious angles with their ground

[00:05:12] floors crushed.

[00:05:13] Some Hualien residents were staying in tents and the main drought linking the county to

[00:05:18] the capital Taipei was still closed Thursday afternoon.

[00:05:22] Huchaybi said much of Taiwan's day-to-day life was returning to normal.
