[00:02:04] Services on Delhi Metro's Blue Line were disrupted for about six hours on Thursday

[00:02:09] due to the theft of signalling cables between Mothinagar and Kirtinagar stations,

[00:02:14] causing major inconvenience to commuters.

[00:02:16] The disruption began at 8am and normal services resumed at 1.38pm after the cables were restored.

[00:02:22] In the meantime, train speeds were reduced, leading to overcrowding and longer waiting times at stations.

[00:02:28] The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation reported the incident as a case of theft and damage to signalling cables.

[00:02:35] The Indian Coast Guard, in collaboration with Pakistan Maritime Security Agency, in a joint operation,

[00:02:43] rescued 12 crew members from the merchant vessel MSV AI Piranpir,

[00:02:47] which sank in the North Arabian Sea while travelling from Por Bandar, Gujarat, to Bandar Abbas, Iran.

[00:02:54] The sinking occurred outside the Indian waters within Pakistan's search and rescue region.

[00:02:58] The vessel sank on Wednesday due to rough seas and flooding.

[00:03:02] A distress call prompted the ICG to divert the ship's Sarthak to the scene while the PMSA provided support.

[00:04:23] asserting that its actions are in self-defence following the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023,

[00:04:29] which killed 1,200 Israelis and led to over 250 hostages being taken to Gaza.
