About the film:
I was 5 years old when a household helper took me to his quarters on the pretext of some special game and exposed his private parts. I was 28 years old when I was sexually harassed by my CEO in the UK and so I left a fast-track career and came back to India. It’s been almost 13 years since then and little has changed in making the world a safer place for women and girls.
As part of various conversations we are having on women and safety, I realized that almost all the major sexual assault cases over the last few years have been on public transport, public spaces, work places, and other well populated areas of the cities.
And so I wanted to create a 3-minute visual that would make us sit up and take notice, make us realize how we have failed our girls and women, remind the audience of what we had become as a community, as a bystander, as a citizen, as a part of the administration, so that we could consciously decide if this was where we want to stay or whether we wanted to contribute to a progressive change.
