Now think about that for a second. The leader of the world’s fifth-largest economy, a man whose entire job is to grow consumption, just told his country to stop consuming. The headlines called it caution. The newspapers called it nationalism. But here’s the thing nobody is telling you. That speech was not just about oil. That speech was not just about gold. That speech was about the West Asia crisis.
