Iconic Rally Driver Ken Block Perishes in Snowmobile Accident at 55

Ken Block, a professional rally driver, died in a snowmobile accident at the age of 55. Block began his career in 2005 and won several rallycross medals at the X Games in addition to competing in the World Rally Championship. He was also a co-founder of sportswear company DC Shoes and was known for producing the Gymkhana video series, which featured him driving on dangerous tracks and obstacle courses and gained millions of views on YouTube. The accident occurred in Utah's Wasatch County and Block was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the accident. He was reportedly riding alone at the time.
