[00:00:00] Hello my friends and welcome to a brand new episode of the Teenbook Podcast.
[00:00:15] I am your host and host Disha and today we are back with some much needed teenage tips.
[00:00:20] And what might that be you ask?
[00:00:22] Well listen in and find out.
[00:00:29] If you think about teenage and hitting puberty with all those hormonal roller coasters, what's
[00:00:34] the first thing that pops in your head?
[00:00:37] May be the one that pops on your face too?
[00:00:40] Yes, I am talking about pimples.
[00:00:42] And not just pimples, this may be any type of skin problem that occurs due to hormonal
[00:00:47] changes in our body during this time.
[00:00:50] Pimples on your foreheads, nose and cheeks appearing so oily that if you touch the
[00:00:54] phone to your cheeks it shines.
[00:00:57] Would they party tomorrow?
[00:00:58] A big pimple appears on your face.
[00:01:00] Or your skin is so dry and itchy that it burns.
[00:01:04] Does this sound like you?
[00:01:05] Bro I have been there too.
[00:01:07] I mean I used to watch all these teen movies where all the school going girls and boys
[00:01:11] looked so gorgeous and had perfect skin while I stayed in the mirror and saw huge pores,
[00:01:17] some pimples, hair and shiny oil on my face.
[00:01:21] My Dadi used to say, Arre besan lagaale.
[00:01:24] Mom used to say just drink water and stop eating junk food, sab diko jaayega.
[00:01:28] And don't use any face wash, they are all chemicals.
[00:01:31] My best friend said, Arre use toothpaste, they will vanish.
[00:01:35] Some of my friends even used to put makeup on their faces to hide these, which are
[00:01:39] absolutely normal by the way.
[00:01:41] But no one really told us how to keep our skin healthy so that asse problems hi
[00:01:46] kam ho sake.
[00:01:48] So today's episode is dedicated to this topic.
[00:01:51] What all should we do to keep our skin healthy?
[00:01:54] Atleast the good thing is that we can help it right?
[00:01:57] Skincare's in the bath my friends.
[00:01:59] But what type of skincare?
[00:02:01] And don't worry because I am intelligent here, we only listen to skin specialists when
[00:02:06] it comes to keeping our beauty intact.
[00:02:08] So today we talked to skin specialist Dr. Jignasha and Dr. Ratesha and asked for some
[00:02:14] tips to keep our skin healthy and here's what they recommend.
[00:02:20] Yes, so very common will be like first thing is washing face at least two times a day with
[00:02:29] a good face wash as for your skin type because skins generally tend to be a little lazy.
[00:02:33] They forget to wash their face in the night time especially.
[00:02:36] So that's one important point.
[00:02:38] Second is to avoid any kind of picking or touching or scrubbing especially your active
[00:02:43] acne which you'll get really tempted to play with.
[00:02:46] That can leave behind marks and spread my infection.
[00:02:48] So that is point number two.
[00:02:49] Number three is see to it that you use a basic thing like just basic skincare using a good
[00:02:54] moisture as an sunscreen would be good.
[00:02:57] Number four is do not tend to over exfoliate with the plethora of products available online
[00:03:04] nowadays.
[00:03:05] As I said they tend to like try so many different things and so many exfoliants are available
[00:03:11] in the market nowadays.
[00:03:12] So they tend to over exfoliate which in turn can damage your skin.
[00:03:16] So do not do that and the last is if they can sleep on clean pillow covers and change
[00:03:21] regularly I think that makes a lot of difference.
[00:03:23] So these would be the top five tips for boys and girls.
[00:03:32] Wow, talk about effective and doable.
[00:03:35] I don't know about you but I am definitely going to use these tips starting tomorrow.
[00:03:40] I hope you will too.
