Doug Clifford of Creedence Clearwater Revival

Doug 'Cosmo' Clifford was the drummer and one part of the rhythm section for the legendary Creedence Clearwater Revival.  Doug is a creative spirit and after Creedence broke up in the early 70’s Doug put together a whole lot of music, collaborating with various musicians over the years, starting with his first solo album Cosmo in 1972 to his latest offering For all the money in the world with Steve Wright of the Greg Kihn Band . This album while released earlier this year was written and recored in the 1980’s and follows up an ealirer solo album Magic Window that came out in 2020.

I enjoyed talking to Doug, about the vision for the album the production, and the dream team that worked on this album which included the legendary Joe Satriani.

Another key project that Doug was a part of , was CC revisited a band he put together with his old pal and bass player for Creedence Stu Cook.

We journeyed back in time and  Doug reflected on the Creedence’s musical legacy, music in the60’s the early days of the band playing at Woodstock and a. Whole lot more. Despite being diagnosed with Parkinson’s a few years ago, this cfailry long onversation was filled with with humor and insight.
