'Appy days with Mick Box of Uriah Heep

Mick box is firmly focused on serving the music. His unrelenting passion for music has kept British rock legends Uriah Heep alive across a 52 year career spanning 24 albums and 1000’s of shows across 62 countries.

I caught up with Mick to chat about the bands latest offering, 50 Years In Rock, a 23 cd and vinyl boxset that celebrates  Uriah Heep’s extensive career.  Formed by Mick

The band started out in 1969 under the name Spice and then got their name from a a villain-like character in a David Copperfield novel.  In a chat filled with humour, Mick was his happy self as we traced his early beginnings in music and the early days of the band.

We explored specific Uriah Heep albums, and traced the bands history and their legacy over the last 50 years.  Uriah Heep are a vibrant force in the live arena and were the first western band to play in Moscow in 1987.

Mick had hilarious road stories to tell from playing in a prison complex in Germany to Moscow to touring in India, other parts of the world.  We finally looked forward to their upcoming album and live shows in 2022.
