कौरवों की माता गांधारी ने महाभारत युद्ध के लिये श्रीकृष्ण को जिम्मेदार ठहराते हुए उन्हें श्राप दे दिया कि जिस प्रकार कुरुवंश का नाश हुआ है, ठीक उसी प्रकार से यदु वंश का भी नाश होगा। गांधारी के श्राप के कारण श्रीकृष्ण द्वारका लौटकर यदुवंशीयों को लेकर प्रभास क्षेत्र आ गए थे। श्रीकृष्ण ने ब्राह्मणों को दान देकर यदुवन्शियों को मृत्यु का इन्तज़ार करने का आदेश दिया था। कुछ दिन बाद सात्यकि व कृतवर्मा में महाभारत को लेकर विवाद इतना बढ़ा कि सात्यकि ने क्रोध में आकर कृतवर्मा का सिर काट दिया। इस घटना के बाद यदुओं में आपसी युद्ध भड़क उठा। वे दो समूहों में बंटकर एक दूसरे का संहार करने लगे। इस लड़ाई में कृष्ण के पुत्र प्रद्युम्न व मित्र सात्यकि समेत सभी यदुवन्शी मारे गए। केवल बब्रु और दारुक बचे।
Gandhari’s Curse to ShriKrishna
Mother of the Kauravas, Gandhari blamed Shrikrishna for causing all this death and destruction and cursed him that the way her entire lineage hads been destroyed, one day the sameday same thing will happen to his Yaduvansh.
After this curse Shrikrishna returned to Dwarka and took all his relatives to Prabhas. He instructed his clan to conduct charitable acts while waiting for their impending doom.
One day Satyaki and Kritavarma got into a debate over their actions during the Mahabharata war. They started insulting each other and the debate got heated. Satyaki ended up cutting Kritavarma’s head.
This resulted into massive infighting among all the Yadava’s who ended up killing each other including Shrikrishna’s sons and friends. Only Babru and Daruk survived.
