[00:00:00] Sexual chemistry tops everything else. What the hell? This is not how I thought this would be. No! Conspiracy I don't believe. Chhoda shahida hai hai. It will be the judgment of Khandaan.

[00:00:10] Welcome to Khandaan- A Bollywood Podcast. My name is Amrita and I am joined today by my friends and co-host Sujoy. Hey everybody. And Aasam. Hello.

[00:00:40] So today, exciting times, Fan Wars edition. Love the fan wars. We are going to be talking about Ranveer and Ranbir. Now we've done this before for like Nora and Jacqueline. And now it's time for the boys to face off. Unfortunately, the boys don't have a body of work as exciting as Nora and Jacqueline. So we're going to be talking- They only have the body. Yeah.

[00:01:09] So we're just going to be talking about like a bunch of different things, right? Uh, and Sujoy, you're our trusty scorekeeper. Sure. So, uh, whichever one that we vote for, you know, that person gets like a point. And at the end of the whole show, we'll tally up our points and definitively answer the question, Ranveer or Ranbir? Who is better? Who is better? Yeah. And it will be the judgment of Khandaan. So I don't have to believe.

[00:01:39] Yes. Let's go. Okay. So let's start with their debut movie, right? So Ranveer came in Yash Raj's Band Baja Bharat opposite Anushka Sharma. Ranbir came in Saavariya opposite Sonam Kapoor. Right. Asim, you're both a SLB fan and a Sonam Kapoor fan. So who do you think got it?

[00:02:08] Uh, it's, it's funny when you say, you know, Ranveer started with, um, Saavariya because it feels like he is that nepotism thing, right? Like they get a lot of chances to kind of warm up and find their footing. And I think with Ranveer, that was definitely the case, right? Like, um, Ranveer just had to do one of the most amazing debuts ever. Like that people were like, oh my god, it's new Shah Rukh Khan. You know? And, uh, I mean, there's no doubt in my mind. And I think, I mean, this is not a difficult category.

[00:02:38] I think Band Baja Bharat takes it 100% by 100,000 miles. It almost even gave Anushka Sharma a second lease of life where she had already debuted. She'd already done a very popular movie. Yeah. But it kind of, kind of became the Shah Rukh movie. Yeah. Yeah. But she had done a, I think she did Badmarsh Company in the middle and like a few others. But like her star, like she hadn't found her footing. And this one really kind of like, it was such a good movie. Right. So I think Ranveer takes this one.

[00:03:07] What about you, Sujoy? Yeah. Ranveer by a country mile. Filmfare would agree that both are equal because both got the best debut awards for Savaria and for Band Baja Bharat. But we don't count Filmfare on this podcast. Yeah. It's the better debut. It's the better movie. It's like there was a lot of question regarding, you know,

[00:03:34] what does this very Dihati boy in a way, Ranveer when he made that debut, why is Yashraj banking everything on this? And when they actually watch Band Baja Bharat, they understood why. Because he's a volcano of talent as Romi Roli would say. Even Karan Johor actively told Aditya, like, I don't see it. Like, why are you casting this guy?

[00:04:09] Yeah. Yeah. It was. It was. Yeah. And everybody was shocked when they realized that he was a South Bombay kid to the core. Yeah. Yeah. Which is why I think like even now they're just sort of figuring out like how he was on the fringes of the whole nepotism crowd and everything, you know, because it takes a lot. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And that's it. Yeah. But yeah, I remember an interview that came out around the time that Savaria was coming

[00:04:37] out, where he was asking people to give him a chance. And he was like, I know I look like Neetu Kapoor with a mustache, but yeah, please be nice to me. and you know he's been I think he's like done more than enough to like win audience rest but yes I think by a landslide Ranveer 1 Ranveer 0 yes okay okay let's talk about their signature

[00:05:01] performances right so for Ranveer I would say we have Gully Boy, Lutera and Padmavat I think sure would be like a yeah it would be yeah right would 83 be one of them I have not watched 83 so I haven't watched 83 yeah yeah sure uh I didn't really care for that performance but you know a lot

[00:05:23] of people really rated high and for Ranveer I think it's Barfi it's Sanju yeah and it's Rockstar yeah so between those two sets of movies like which do you rank I am a die-hard Barfi fan so I would definitely go for team Ranveer on this one um I don't even care about what are the other movies

[00:05:46] Rockstar I don't care about Sanju I don't care about but just Barfi is stronger than any movie that Ranveer has done to be honest I breathe that movie like I re-watched that movie every now and then I I love that movie even with its uh many many plagiaristic scenes uh just how um effectively

[00:06:13] emotionally filmy um you know the the chaplain the Kishore Kumar the the all of those elements is so much visible in in Ranveer's performance it's so heartfelt it's funny but also heartbreaking uh in his performance I'm without any dialogue it's so so well done I didn't know that about you I didn't

[00:06:36] know that you were such a big Barfi fan I'm hey thoda shyda na hai so Joyce is softy softy uh what about you Asan uh I'm first of all I'm surprised that you picked those movies for Ranveer and not like the man boy era yeah like the whole bachanai bachanai hasino yeh jawani yeh diwani would you think that those are like I think those I think those are more like that's the kind of roles that people would

[00:07:03] connect him with but doesn't matter like you like just saying those all of those films for me it's Ranveer all the way uh and you haven't even mentioned Jaga Jassus in there which is like my what you for you as uh Barfi my would mine would be Jaga Jassus um I think he's just far and beyond a much much better performer than Ranveer is um I I just it's just choices performances that I veer towards

[00:07:32] where Ranveer makes choices that I actively don't enjoy like Padmavat's Kijli or Simba another one that we haven't necessarily mentioned but those are not performances that I really enjoy and I have not had Ranveer performances that I've hated outright I've not liked some of his movies but even in a bad movie he's good I think that's the point for me also like I think Ranveer elevates whatever role he's

[00:08:02] in yeah so Sanju for instance was a terrible movie uh I disagreed with all the choices that it made like literally every single choice that that movie made just annoyed me immensely but his performance in it fantastic yeah like he ate everybody for breakfast and I'm not even talking about his generation I'm talking about like two generations before him you know like he was just just he was a beast yeah you

[00:08:30] know um and that's also I think probably one of the reasons why I am so sad to see him in things like animal because what a generational talent to be throwing themselves away on like MRM yeah like it's just like so like you know you expect better of somebody like Ranveer yeah you know but still a great performance in animal right like that's the thing and I think a lot of it is animal like we come

[00:08:58] back to the politics of it or the vision like the view point of view that Vanga has but you can't fault Ranveer's performance again you know so yeah yeah okay one each okay so now if we're talking about like great performances let's also talk about the terrible performances so you said Simba for Ranveer yeah but I think the one that got universally reviled was Circus yes I have not seen it another one that got reviled but

[00:09:26] I actually really enjoy one of I thought is like for a long time I used to say it's the last good movie he's done and it was a ladies versus Ricky Bell I think a lot of people didn't like that one but I absolutely love that movie Did you like Jaish Bhai Jordan? I didn't watch that one. I haven't watched that either. I thought that's one of you have. That was a pandemic movie right?

[00:09:46] Yeah. That was supposed to be a theatrical release but it came straight to OTG or I don't know. I can't remember. And for Ranveer like some of his duds were Bombay Velvet. I love Bombay Velvet. Yeah. Shashera. Yeah that one didn't. Besharam. So between those two groups. Which is the worst? Which is the worst? Oh and he said Besharam though that's really bad. So how are we doing this like the one with the worst one gets a point or the one with the lesser worst one gets a point?

[00:10:16] With the lesser worst one gets a point. Right got it. Okay. What do you pick here? So I think when Ranveer makes a bad movie it really crashes. Yeah. You know like it's a it's a crater the size of Manhattan suddenly in the middle of Bollywood.

[00:10:40] When Ranveer makes a bad movie it seems more of a group project. So when circus really tanked everybody was looking at Rohit Shetty more than Ranveer honestly. But when Bombay Velvet tanked everybody was looking directly at Ranveer. Yeah. You know they were just like. Also to Anurag Kashyap I think. They were looking at Anurag Kashyap as well. And also blaming Karan Johar a lot. Which is a different separation. He was actually really good in that.

[00:11:08] Yeah I thought he was good too. I don't like. Yeah. I don't know. I tend to give the point to Ranveer for being less bad. Hmm. Okay. I'll say don't sit this one out. Let's hear Asam first. Yeah I think maybe just because I hold Ranveer maybe in a higher regard. I agree with you. Because Besharam was so bad. Like I cannot make head or no tails of that movie right. Like I don't understand what it was about.

[00:11:38] That was my first filmy interview. I interviewed like. And you pissed off Rishi Kapoor. Rishi Kapoor. Yeah. I asked him about remaking Ajuba. And he was like you think Ajuba is a good movie? Yeah. He got really violent with you. Like no reason. How can she slap? Yeah. He got really really violent with you. But Ranveer was quite happy with my question. He was like laughing. He liked Ajuba probably. Yeah probably. That was a good one. But yeah. I still haven't watched Abhay Sharam. I have. Because Rishi Kapoor pissed me off.

[00:12:10] I don't know. The bad movies of Ranveer. Ranveer. I feel like he makes those choices. Because he wants to be in a cool team with Rohi Chetty. And the bad movies that Ranveer makes. Is inherently like. He wants a good movie to happen out of it. But for some reason or the other. It doesn't happen. Yeah. So like Bombay Velvet was not in his control.

[00:12:39] Or like even Besharam perhaps. Or what else. What else was that? For Ranveer. Ranveer. Yeah. For Ranveer I said Besharam, Shamshera. Shamshera. Yeah. Shamshera on paper was supposedly. On follow up to Agnipat. Yeah. It was supposed to be much better than it was. Yeah. And I don't think he was bad in it. But I think Besharam just really pulls the whole thing down. Because it's so bad. Yeah. But I would go for team Ranveer on this one.

[00:13:08] So you pick Ranveer. You pick Ranveer. I think Ranveer was like less bad. Less bad. Yeah. Less bad. And I feel Ranveer is less bad. But the consensus is Ranveer is less bad. So 1.2 Ranveer. So the score is 1 to 2. Let's go to the next round. So now let's talk about the other. You know like Ranbhumi for Bollywood stars. Which is Coffee with Karan. Right.

[00:13:37] So who do you think has performed better on Coffee with Karan over the years? Can I say like both of them have come on Coffee with Karan in the worst era of Coffee with Karan. Like it started like maybe the last good episode was Deepika and Sonam. And thenтАж When they flambed. Yeah. That was like the last good episode. And then he came in to kind of like you know like PR the stuff they had said. And I didn't enjoy it at all.

[00:14:07] And they had also the wholeтАж He came with Ranveer actually didn't he? Yeah. But that was later. That was later. Which was also like a very weirdтАж I think the first time he came was with Imran. Imran. But it was the same season when the whole Sonam and Deepika happened. And there they would have not probably watched the episode by then. Like the controversies hadn't happened yet. So yeah I am just saying that both of them are not great at that kind of stuff. They didn't come in the right era.

[00:14:38] I actually honestly don't enjoy either of them on the Coffee with Karan couch. I really likedтАж But this is something that Ranveer does all the time. But when he starts mimickingтАж Right. That was just hot on. Especially Akshay Kumar. When he does that Akshay Kumar thing. You will dance here. There he is. I'm dancing. Yeah. Like it was likeтАж That was funny. And like Akshay Kumar was sat just next to him. Completely embarrassed by it. But it was fun.

[00:15:08] He doesn't give a crap. But yeah. But I think just sheer out of theтАж Being the subject of controversy in that Sonam and Deepika episode. Ranbir has provided so much more for Coffee with Karan than anybody else single-handedly. Right. He has been the talk of the town without actually being on the episode. Yeah. But I also don't think Ranbir is a kind of an interview guy. Like I have interviewed him myself.

[00:15:36] And I think one-on-one he's actually very personable and nice. And like it was so cute when we were interviewing him forтАж I don't know which movie we were interviewing him. It's not Yeh Jawani. I'm not sure. I forgot. Like that's how memorable things are sometimes in my brain. And he came in and he introduced himself to me. And I was like dude I know you. That's why I'm here. You know I've been waiting for three hours to interview you. But it was like such a like fake humble but humble kind of thing. He does it so generally because he's such a good actor.

[00:16:05] So I don't even know where the acting starts and all. Yeah. So no. I just don't think he's that interviewer that wants to give you a viral moment. Whereas Ranbir wants every moment to be a viral moment. Yeah. So he's like a machine built for this. Right. And I agree with you. He has a skill set of mimicky and he uses it really well. So yeah. I think I give it to Ranbir on this one. Yeah. I think I'll give it to Ranbir as well. Well I'm still voting for Ranbir but I lose again. So it's. Aww.

[00:16:34] How much. I have lost count now. Two each right? One, two, three. Yeah. So three. Yeah. One. Yeah. Three for Ranbir and one for Ranbir. Okay. That's how maths works. Don't worry. I think like things are going to change for Ranbir. Okay. Let's talk about chemistry with the top stars. Like the top female leads. Right. They haven't all. They haven't worked. Like Katrina hasn't worked with Ranbir. Yeah. So like we can't get Katrina in there. That's not a fair.

[00:17:04] I hate this segment already. Why Katrina? Katrina means like you know Asim doesn't care. But they both work with Anushka whom Asim loves. So yay. And with Alia. Yep. Deepika and Priyanka. Right. Right. So between. So let's go one by one. Yeah. I think that might be easier. Right. So Deepika Ranbir versus Deepika Ranbir. Ramlila man. So steamy.

[00:17:32] Angla galere lahumulagya. Yeah. I'm already Ranbir. I don't have anything more to say. Really? Yeah. Wow. I would say like Ranbir and Deepika have dropped like classic movies. Like. I don't care. The. Like sexual chemistry tops everything else. You just want to see them bang. That's what you all care about. It's like three aces on the table. And you're like king hai, queen hai. Nothing. I mean. Yeh jawani hai diwani. Like you know. Yeah. But yeh bang hai diwani.

[00:18:03] Okay. I can't argue with this. Like Sujoy feels too strong. I actually. Yeah. No. I agree with Sujoy. I think like that. That entire intro sequence for lahumulagya. Yeah. Like that alone elevates that particular chemistry between those two. Okay. And that is. That is despite the. You know. That is despite it. That is despite like everyone talking about like the Deepika. Yeah. You can do all the Tamashas.

[00:18:33] But the Leela will only come from Ram. Yeah. So. Okay. So. And then. What about Anushka? So. I think Anushka herself said her chemistry was better with Ranbir. On one of the couches or like some interviews. That's Bobby Bellpert is the only one right? No. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Oh man. They were so good together in that one. So in that one. What I remember is the scene where she's recreating the Chandini song. Yeah.

[00:19:02] And he's got frostbite. Yeah. And she gets so mad. And she's like really? Yeah. That's how you are. And they just have like such a good like bro vibe. Yeah. I really enjoy it. Yeah. But again that's not romantic vibes though. Like I feel like. The kiss in Band Baja Bharat with Ranbir. Again like I'm varying towards his criteria of chemistry. Like clearly. Like clearly.

[00:19:31] Like this is the song sequence and then the dance sequence and then they go into the ships thing. If that's the thing. So do you think though that like Band Baja Bharat was basically written to be that good of a chemistry rather than them having chemistry with each other because did they have the same kind of impact in Dil Dhadak Ne Do or in Ladies vs. Rikki Bell? Yeah.

[00:20:00] I believe so. Because I don't think they had like that kind of chemistry in Dil Dhadak Ne Do. I think they did. Like I didn't think they had it in Ladies vs. Rikki Bell because I think things were dicey at that moment. I think they were legit dating maybe in Band Baja Bharat. And it wasn't going well. It wasn't going well which creates a lot of good chemistry on screen sometimes. So okay then Ranbir takes it I guess then. Okay. So Ranbir takes it for Anushka as well. What about for Alia? Ranbir.

[00:20:30] Ranbir. Sorry. Nobody even wants to like discuss this. Rocky Rani happened. Yeah. Rocky Rani happened. I mean yeah. They were banging in front of their grandparents. According to Amrita who saw a different version of the movie. I'm like which movie did you have Amrita? Have you rewatched it enough to know that you were wrong on the podcast? I refuse. I refuse. The version that lives in your head is the best.

[00:21:00] We were all like what is she doing? What did she see? I swear to god there was a scene where there's like a poster bed and like Shabana and Dharam are making out and these two are making out side by side. That's not a conspiracy. I don't believe. What's that? What's that? What's that? Anyway moving on. Priyanka Chopra. What did she do with Ranbir? The crazy people movie right? Anjana Anjani. I didn't like that movie. Didn't watch that. I didn't like it. And then the other one is Bajir Amastani.

[00:21:29] Yes. Yeah then they went in again. And Dil Dharakne Do where they were iconic together as siblings. Okay then Ranbir takes the chemistry award. Clean bold Ranbir this one. So what's the score now? 1 to 4? 1 to 5. 4. 4? 1 to 4. Okay. Who's won? Who's 4? 1 is Ranbir. 4 is Ranbir. What the hell? This is not how I thought this would go. No. I'm shocked. Genuinely it's not how it would go. Okay.

[00:21:57] But Ranbir we are rooting for you. There's time for you to turn this around. So let's talk about directors. Right? Sanjay Lila Bansali has done like 500 million. Movies with Ranbir. None of them I like. Yeah. And he's done like Samaria with Ranbir. Which had Salman Khan. So that's already a plus point.

[00:22:22] So which who do you think like he like you know who has like the SLB advantage do you think? Ranbir. Salman. I don't. I'm a little bit conflicted about this because obviously like Ranbir. Like in Baji Rao Mustani Ranbir's performance was just amazing. Yeah. But conversely that is also the performance that apparently SLB hated the most. Because apparently Ranbir was working too hard.

[00:22:51] Because I've never seen a director be that bitchy about like their own lead. Where Ranbir was talking about like oh you know like I was working really hard. Like I was trying to be in character. I like tried to like really. And SLB was like well you are an actor. Your job is to show up and act. Like why are you trying to do all of this? Which what a weird mean undermining thing to say about your own lead actor. Who's actually working hard. Like it would be different if he was just you know like a care for nobody.

[00:23:20] Who didn't come up on set. And who didn't do anything. But here's a man who's like actually working. I'm telling you man Salman is the only one that keeps him tight SLB. Like tight karke rakta hai. That's what we need you know. Kuli choot detai Ranbir. Like all this the artsy nonsense. And yeah. So are there any other directors that have worked with both Ranbir and Ranbir? I think also Ranbir doesn't have that director connection as much.

[00:23:50] Because Basu and Ranbir right. They have something there right. Imtiaz Ali. He creates these connections with the directors that Ranbir doesn't really have yet. He's just like a puppy dog going every day. Oh Rohit Chhati. I'm like his team now. I'm going to SLB. I'm his team now. Right. And he doesn't have that. Like it's how they always say the Scorsese De Niro thing right. Or yeah. DiCaprio. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:24:20] He like Ranbir has those. Okay. So then in terms of like say director or like the prestige of directors that they've worked with. Would you give it to Ranbir? 100%. 100%. Yeah. There's not even a doubt. Okay. Because like the best work he Ranbir has done I have not enjoyed. You know. Like I mean. I just don't like those movies you know. Okay. The SLB ones and he has not had like a director elevate him or really kind of you know.

[00:24:48] I would like to see like that. I would like to see it if it happens but Ranbir has been able to do that. So I'm giving it to Ranbir. So 4-2? Yeah. Okay. 2-4 yeah. So then if we are saying that you know Ranbir has the better relationship with prestige direction and stuff like that. What are we also saying about their cultural influence? Like do we think Ranbir has more of a cultural influence or do we say Ranbir has?

[00:25:17] I think Ranbir cheapens his own cultural influence by being so readily available. So he's much lesser of a star than Ranbir is. Just by virtue of being omnipresent he will become you know he will show up at a I don't know a rap party of anybody and start be you know reciting lines from a different movie. You know what I remember?

[00:25:43] This wild story of him just going to like somebody's house here in London. Yeah. In Birmingham. In Birmingham. He like one of his fans. Oh drinking tea or something. I remember that yeah. He just like showed up at her house and was just like hey I'm here to drink chai. And I was just like what? What are you doing? Yeah. I've noticed the less I see of him out of the movies the more I enjoy him in the movies. Yeah. You know? Ranbir yes. Yeah Ranbir.

[00:26:13] Ranbir. Ranbir. Like I don't enjoy him out of the movies. Like the whole persona the loudness it's not for me. I'm not that kind of guy. It doesn't work for me. And even himself I think he's even had this advice to mute the colors he's wearing now and kind of like be a bit more sober. And I think also becoming a dad maybe that's also kind of like changed him a little bit. But I kind of like Ranbir's approach more where he just kind of does an interview when he's doing a movie.

[00:26:40] And then for the rest of the time we don't really see him that much. I appreciate that. Obviously he has the luxury of coming from a film royalty background where he doesn't need to be there. And people will show up. But that's also just that cultural impact right? Yeah. Like he makes a movie people will show up for it. He doesn't need to do all of this right? So I think I'm giving this one to Ranbir for sure. Yeah. I'm with you guys actually.

[00:27:11] Because I think Ranbir has managed to build a brand. Yeah. That is like I mean Ranbir also has a brand. A brand that is not as strong. But his brand is what? Like being loud. H&M. Yeah. And also by the way I also say like I've never been to India right? So I don't know what other things he's in. Like how many billboards they're on or you know how many steel rod ads they're doing.

[00:27:40] Like there's a lot of these things that they do that don't really reach me right? So I don't know how saturated they are in the local market. I'm assuming there's a lot of Ranbir. Yeah. Even Ranbir and Alia do a steel, Urunda steel ad with Shah Rukh Khan. Which I hated. And then Ranbir is. They do that Dream 11 with Amir Khan as well. And Ranbir is on all the ching noodles and all that. That's the only thing that I remember. Like chings. And was there a condom ad at some point? Yeah.

[00:28:08] He was like that. He was a shareholder in that business of sexual health. And I think he. Yeah. Condom ads. Okay. So if we say that. Okay. So let's say that we give Ranbir the cultural point. Right. But how are they also doing for their portfolio? Right. So you just mentioned like. You know that he's in that chings ad. And he's. You know he owns a share and whatever.

[00:28:38] So I just wanted to like talk about like their side hustles. Right. Because Ranbir. Has like a giant like real estate portfolio. He is a part owner in Savan. He's also a part owner of Beko. Which is like a sustainable home products company. And like a whole bunch of like other things. Right. And Ranbir is mostly.

[00:29:07] Like I know he owns a protein powder company or something. He launched a music label that I don't think anything is happening with it. Right. Because it was supposed to be for hip hop and rap. And we've heard nothing about it. And then he's doing like a bunch of endorsements I guess. But I don't see him like investing in stuff. Who do you think is doing better with the side hustles? I think Ranbir. Right. Like look.

[00:29:35] Like I mean I didn't know about all of these businesses. So I'm like just listening to it now. So. But yeah. Like even the brands that you're mentioning. Sustainable and things like that. That seems like cool things to invest in. Where yeah. The noodles. Like really. Like I don't know. I don't know if how many choices each of them have. And what connections they have. That also kind of plays into it. But I also don't think Ranbir is this you know. Forsaken orphan child that can't make better choices and connections.

[00:30:05] Right. I'm sure he's in a power position now. So. I would give this to Ranbir. Three to four. Oh. Do we have any more categories? How come we're not talking about controversies? Like who has the better controversies? I was about to come to that. Like so who. Like you know. So the. With Katrina and Deepika. Ranbir and Ranbir are in like this quadrangle of conspiracy infamy. Yeah.

[00:30:35] Anything. Like any rumor. Any Bollywood lafda that starts. It eventually comes down to Ranbir, Deepika, Katrina, Ranbir. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. And there's a lot of stuff that's been said about the two of them. So who do you think is the king of controversies? I think Ranbir to be honest. Like on this one. Like I feel. Like we also can't forget the Mahera episode. That's always there. Like obviously Mahera is on my mind. You know.

[00:31:04] That was a thing. Like the messy messy breakups he's had with these women. Amazing women. Right.

[00:31:40] Right. A lot of the stuff that I see directed towards Ranbir seems to be that he should be angry about the things that Deepika says about their journey together. Yeah. And I'm just like what's it. It's not any of your business. Like he's. Oh the naked butt pics. That was a thing. Oh yeah. That was a thing. That was a thing that he was kind of embroiled in for a while. I don't care. Yeah. Be naked where you want to. None of that stands a chance against the messiness of Ranbir controversy.

[00:32:09] Remember those Jagga Jassu's interviews where they ask Katrina Kaif what she likes about Ranbir and she just gave. She was just silent for like you could hear the clock moving and it was so uncomfortable. And like Ranbir had to be explained on an AIV episode what mansplaining is. And it was like oh that's a thing. Yeah. And it was like his boomer roots were showing you know. So I guess that's for all then. For all.

[00:32:36] We were not able to resolve this versus. Okay so then let's say like one tiebreaker right. On sheer talent. Who do you think is like. That's a controversial one. More talented. Ranbir or Ranbir. Ranbir. Let's do it this way. Can Ranbir do Ranbir's role and can Ranbir do Ranbir's role. Like is there like inter switching possible. I feel like Ranbir. Yes. I feel like the two of them could. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:33:05] You think Ranbir could be Khilji. Yeah. I think so. Yeah. Yeah. I think so. And I think he do a good job of it. It would be a different Khilji but I think he would do a good job of it. And I think Ranbir could do Barfi. Yeah. He could do Barfi. Yeah. I don't want to see that movie. Would be too much. Yeah. Yeah. Ranbir could not do a Gully Boy though. Yeah. Yeah that's true. That he could not do. But just because Ranbir likes to rap. He's been doing that for a while.

[00:33:34] It's his thing. Yeah. He did do Rockstar. Yeah. But Ranbir could do Rockstar. You think? I think he could do Rockstar. Okay. I don't know man. I don't know. There's something about that like a softness in Rockstar. I have not seen it. I just don't think we've seen Ranbir work yet with really great directors as much as Ranbir has. And I think that's where the fault lies. Somewhere Aditya Chopra is weeping in the corner. Oh yeah. Be Fikri.

[00:34:04] I have not seen it. Apparently Anupa Chopra likes that movie. So maybe I should give it a chance you know. Yeah. But yeah. Oh be chara Aditya Chopra. So who are we picking? I'm going with Ranbir. I've like said this from the start. Ranbir? Yeah Ranbir. Generational talent. Talent yeah. Once in a generation comes a star like Ranbir. It's those veins in the neck that puff up and down when he's like singing his heart out. We saw that with Shah Rukh. We saw that with Ranbir.

[00:34:33] Like Bulea and Aidel Hai Mushkil. Like so like yeah like so many. Like he's so good. Okay guys. So there you have it. Khandaan- A Bollywood Podcast is firmly team Ranbir. But Ranbir we love you. Like we think you are awesome. It was close. It was super close. And but we just needed to have like a winner. Yeah. And we found one. Yes. We found one in Ranbir.
