Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast where this week we’re discussing DIL TERA AASHIQ from 1993.
Directed by Lawrence D’Souza, this movie stars Madhuri Dixit, Salman Khan, Kader Khan, Anupam Kher, and a host of character actors you haven’t seen in decades. A remake of a play, this movie should have been effervescent good fun with two actors who were hitting the zeitgeist in spectacular fashion. Instead… listen to the episode to hear our views.
In this episode, we also invited members of our Patreon to send in their stories of how they discovered this podcast in order to celebrate our 250th episode and we read a few of them out. If you would like to send in your story, please send in a short note to upodcasting@gmail.com.

[00:00:15] Hi, this is Asim. This is Sujoy. This is Amritha. And you're listening to Khandaan, a Bollywood
[00:00:20] Podcast about the three main Khans of the Hindi film industry. Amir, Salman, and Shahruh.
[00:00:26] Hi, you're listening to Khandaan, a Bollywood Podcast regular feed. Thank you so much for
[00:00:31] your support over the years. We now have a Patreon channel with bonus content and exclusive

[00:00:48] Hi, and welcome to a new episode of Khandaan Podcast. My name is Asim Burney, and I'm joined
[00:00:54] with my lovely co-host Amritha and Sujoy. Hey, Amritha. Hey, Sujoy.
[00:00:58] Hey, everybody.
[00:00:59] Hello.
[00:01:00] Guys, can you believe this is the 250th time I have done this intro now? Like some sort of
[00:01:09] version of this intro 250 times. How crazy is that?
[00:01:14] And also, like, it's so wholesome to me to hear you do the intro 250th time because just
[00:01:20] minutes ago I was feeling a bit meh. And the moment you start, hi, everybody. I just, you
[00:01:26] know, perked up. I'm like, Asim, your voice. Subhanallah.
[00:01:33] Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I hope that's also what, you know, after 250
[00:01:38] episodes, our listeners are feeling, you know, that baby ko bes pasand hai and my voice kind
[00:01:43] of perks their day up when it drops, you know. And thank you, DJ Shai for giving us probably
[00:01:48] one of the best intro themes to, you know, a podcast. But yeah, as I've learned, I should
[00:01:55] not be comparing and saying best or not best. Learn my lesson. Learn my lesson. We grow after
[00:02:03] 250 episodes. What are we doing this episode? We, I mean, we wanted to keep it light. Amrita,
[00:02:10] we're going to be doing something to celebrate this occasion, right? In the future?
[00:02:15] Yes, obviously. This is going, this is like a huge milestone for any podcast, but like,
[00:02:21] especially for us, because we literally, I mean, we've talked about this multiple times.
[00:02:28] This is a completely indie effort. It's just three people who are in it for the love of
[00:02:34] the game. We keep trying to sell out and nobody will buy us.
[00:02:40] Three little Delulu people.
[00:02:43] But like, these are my best friends and I get to hang out with them every week or every
[00:02:50] other week. And it's like what Sujoy said, you know, like, I feel tired. I feel cranky.
[00:02:57] I'm not like in there. And then Asim says, you know, like, I'm joined by my good friends,
[00:03:04] Amrita and Sujoy. And then immediately it's like, yay, I get to hang out and like talk about nonsense
[00:03:10] with my friends again. So it's kept me sane through the pandemic. It's gotten me through cancer.
[00:03:17] Like, I don't know what else to say. Like, I'm just delighted to be here. So we're definitely going
[00:03:23] to do a live stream. We haven't done one of those in a long time. It's probably going to be in November
[00:03:33] because we are all traveling a little bit and we're not going on hiatus. I don't think, are we?
[00:03:40] No, no, I don't think we are. But we are kind of banking a few episodes back and forth. And also
[00:03:45] there's no big releases necessary. And there's other ways to find us. We're on TikTok. We're doing
[00:03:50] YouTube essays. We're very active on our Patreon community. And I think that's a lot of where our
[00:03:55] focus is. So we want to thank them and we want to continuously provide content for them. But also
[00:04:02] we want to do a live chat, but we also don't want to half-ass it, right? So we want to do it when we're
[00:04:07] kind of all in the frame of mind and we're not traveling. Sujoy, you're leaving soon. Amrita,
[00:04:11] you're traveling. So we didn't want to do something just because it's 250th episode,
[00:04:15] but we wanted to, you know, do it when we're in the right headspace. Sujoy, man, 250th episode,
[00:04:21] what are your thoughts? How are you feeling?
[00:04:22] I mean, not many people achieve this. A lot of, like, even the best of the best enthusiasts and
[00:04:29] the experts, they sort of give up midway, right? And I, like, if you would have told me in 2017
[00:04:35] that we'd still be doing 250 episodes stronger than ever, I would have, like, laughed at your face.
[00:04:41] You know, this is unbelievable. It's, yeah, I wouldn't have expected. Primarily because I'm a
[00:04:48] skeptic at heart, but I'm very, very proud to be associated with a podcast that has 250 freaking
[00:04:56] episodes under its belt. What an achievement. Like, I don't want to pat my back, but I am.
[00:05:04] And both of you guys as well.
[00:05:07] You know, I was just reading on Twitter or something, you know, just, like, earlier today
[00:05:14] or something, and they were talking about, like, how a lot of the influencers and whatever who
[00:05:20] start out creating content on sites like YouTube, etc. Eventually, they just stop doing the thing
[00:05:28] that made them famous. And they just start making, like, other weird things that nobody asked for.
[00:05:35] And part of it is because they're trying to grow their audience. But also the other part of it
[00:05:40] is the fact that they just tire of making whatever it was that they were doing, you know, like, so it's
[00:05:47] like the same thing over and over and over again. But I think the reason why Kandan is different is
[00:05:53] because while we're still talking about Indian cinema all the time, we have, like, the three of us,
[00:06:00] and we are just three such completely different people.
[00:06:05] It's just always, like, we always zig when you expect us to zag. You know what I mean?
[00:06:11] So, I don't think it's become tiresome to any of us so far.
[00:06:18] I mean, until the Khans make movies, which is like the end of the cockroach nuclear holocaust,
[00:06:24] whatever, you know, we are here. We are here to talk about Salman movies, Amir movies, and
[00:06:31] Sharuk movies.
[00:06:32] Yeah, we're gonna podcast Mar-te-dam-tak.
[00:06:39] But yeah, I think it's been lovely. And I think we, I mean, we're here because of the support of our
[00:06:45] Patreon community too. And we asked them, you know, what, how, you know, how did they discover and if
[00:06:51] they had like a short note for us to read for our 250th episode, you also can send us a note for
[00:06:58] the 250th episode. Drop us at upodcastingatgmail.com if you're not a Patreon, and we'll definitely try to
[00:07:04] go through it. We always try to reply and be very active. I know a lot of people also are getting
[00:07:09] to us in Instagram and things like that, which is great. But we're not as regular because we're all
[00:07:17] old and Instagram chat doesn't work for me. But do drop us an email at upodcastingatgmail.com.
[00:07:23] We are email volume.
[00:07:24] Yeah, exactly.
[00:07:28] It's that thing, right? When like millennials, things get serious, they stop the phone and they
[00:07:33] get the desktop out.
[00:07:34] Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. So yeah, when you book a flight, you cannot book it on the phone. You have
[00:07:39] to open the desktop.
[00:07:40] That is so true though. Like when I was reading that thing, I was just like, oh my God, that is true.
[00:07:45] Yeah. I didn't have a jacket too.
[00:07:49] Like, give me like, I need some desktop. I need like a screenshot of the receipt, you know.
[00:07:57] Oh my God, we are those people.
[00:08:02] Let's read out some messages here from our lovely patrons. I want to read this one from
[00:08:07] Anne, which this one really moved me like I got very emotional. So here, Anne says, congrats
[00:08:14] you guys. I found you guys while searching for bodywood podcasts right before COVID.
[00:08:20] I stayed because I felt I was listening to my friends talking about the movies. And even in
[00:08:25] the latest episode, I love that you are able to are yet to be tainted by commercial Bollywood
[00:08:30] and still say your mind. I love you three because of so many reasons. Number one, that always
[00:08:36] that almost always three of you have different opinions about the same movie. Number two,
[00:08:42] Asim and Amrita pulling Sujoy's leg whenever an opportunity appears. Love the name of the
[00:08:49] podcast. Thanks, Asim. I have an unexplainable love for Salman Khan movies. Cannot defend his
[00:08:55] actions or choices, but I still watch all his movies and I found a Salman soulmate in Asim. Salman
[00:09:03] soulmate is a good idea for a t-shirt by the way. Amrita's beautiful big eyes that
[00:09:11] mesmerize you while she gives you her take on Bollywood on Insta Reels, slowly discovering
[00:09:17] more about you guys through every episode, like how Asim is a successful businessman and
[00:09:23] Sujoy loves traveling and photography. I thought the sentence was Asim is discovering how Asim
[00:09:29] is. Then Asim and Sujoy slowly learning about South Indian movies and Malayalam movies and
[00:09:38] Amrita giving them context to some crazy stardoms, eagerly awaiting every episode and can't wait to
[00:09:43] celebrate the 500th episode next. Wow. Yeah, that one I got a little bit emotional. Thank you,
[00:09:53] Anne, for writing that in. I have noticed, Amrita, you have a lot of, you have created like this army
[00:10:05] of women lusting after on Instagram. What's going on, Amrita? Lusting after who? You.
[00:10:16] What can I say? They have great taste.
[00:10:23] No, it's just, it's one of those things, right? Like you, I don't know. Like, I don't know how to
[00:10:30] explain how delighted I am when I hear things like this, because it's just, you kind of feel
[00:10:41] like you have opinions that are very different from everybody else, because you go online and you see
[00:10:48] what Bollywood criticism is, or what like public sentiment is about Bollywood. And it's always about
[00:10:55] like, who's making more money? You know, yeh nasheli hai, yeh adulterer hai, yeh cheater hai, yeh wo hai.
[00:11:05] And I'm just like, I don't care about any of that shit. Like, you could be injecting crack cocaine
[00:11:12] into your veins, and I don't care. Like, show me a good movie that is like, like, and I talk, I talk a
[00:11:19] lot about like, how much I enjoy gossip and stuff. And I do, but it has nothing to do with the movies
[00:11:24] that I like, and the movies I watch, you know, like, I, I don't know, maybe the older I get, the
[00:11:30] the more detached I am. This kind of stuff. But it's just really, like, when we started doing this
[00:11:39] podcast, I didn't think a lot of people would share our opinions, or even appreciate our opinions.
[00:11:47] And I think a lot of people still don't share a lot of the opinions that we have.
[00:11:55] But I do, I do think a lot of them appreciate the opinions that we have.
[00:12:00] Tolerate our opinions.
[00:12:04] And, you know, it's, it's great. But Asim, how does it feel to be princess for the day? Like,
[00:12:11] you know, everybody is just like, oh my god, like Asim. I've noticed an uptick.
[00:12:16] Like, and especially in the, in the, in the mails that Asim reads out.
[00:12:20] Yeah, that's, that's, that's the filter. That's the filter. I pick up the ones that like boost me
[00:12:28] up, you know, the other ones is like, you know, like, it's like, delete, you know, like,
[00:12:33] this is how you get on the show by complimenting me, you know.
[00:12:40] We're podcaster, we're starving for love and appreciation.
[00:12:46] Notice me, senpai.
[00:12:49] Exactly.
[00:12:50] So, Joy, you did not get objectified at all. But how do you feel about us pulling your legs,
[00:12:56] man?
[00:12:57] Always up for it.
[00:13:00] Only by you two, by the way.
[00:13:04] I'm not like, come and walk.
[00:13:07] Nobody comes and walk.
[00:13:10] That's not me.
[00:13:11] Why do you kill me?
[00:13:12] Yeah, exactly.
[00:13:15] I'm going to go to the gym.
[00:13:19] Second message I wanted to read is from Farzan.
[00:13:22] Congratulations, guys.
[00:13:24] I love you because I am, because I'm an Aamir fan, not in spite of it.
[00:13:29] I may be a bigger Aamir fan than Asim since I saw Andaz Apna Apna in theaters.
[00:13:35] That's crazy, dude.
[00:13:36] That's crazy.
[00:13:37] That's like, you know, buying crypto when it was like $20.
[00:13:41] That's what it is.
[00:13:43] I watch Andaz Apna Apna Apna in theaters.
[00:13:45] Yeah, exactly.
[00:13:47] That's pretty crazy.
[00:13:48] That's pretty crazy.
[00:13:50] You guys want to read one or?
[00:13:52] No, no, go ahead.
[00:13:53] Go ahead.
[00:13:55] Next one is from Shreya.
[00:13:58] Congrats, guys.
[00:13:59] 250 episode is amazing.
[00:14:01] I discovered this podcast when I was graduated from my master's in 2020.
[00:14:05] It was peak COVID and I was job hunting in Canada away from family.
[00:14:10] But Khanan was one of those things that really made me happy.
[00:14:12] I love Bollywood and I love the three of you covering Khan movies.
[00:14:17] I'm an SRK fan, tolerate Aamir and only like Salman's old movies.
[00:14:23] So I really connected with your opinions.
[00:14:25] I really enjoy listening to new episodes every week.
[00:14:27] I hope you guys can keep doing this for as long as possible.
[00:14:32] Yes, we hope to do this as long as possible.
[00:14:35] I think it's an interesting one, right?
[00:14:37] Like this breakdown of I'm an SRK fan.
[00:14:42] I tolerate Aamir and only like Salman Khan older movies.
[00:14:47] It's I think there's a there's a lot of a Venn diagram of the listenership in those three
[00:14:53] zones in a way.
[00:14:55] Because I don't like I think you made this point like there's supposedly a lot of Aamir
[00:15:01] Khan fans, but they're not as vocal, right?
[00:15:05] And Salman, I think the old Salman or the young Salman, we can all kind of add nostalgia to
[00:15:11] it and also it being non-problematic.
[00:15:14] And then everything went to shit.
[00:15:16] So it's very hard to defend later Salman.
[00:15:19] So I think a lot of people fall into those categories of, you know, I don't know.
[00:15:24] What do you guys think?
[00:15:24] I mean, it's not rocket science.
[00:15:30] Why?
[00:15:30] Because of the things that dude, because of, you know, it's kind of obvious like the fandom
[00:15:39] for those people like falls into those categories, I suppose, like all normal people would.
[00:15:46] It's only the outliers who still like go gaga about, you know, behind the picture and all
[00:15:52] of that.
[00:15:53] And we are those outliers.
[00:15:56] Also COVID, right?
[00:15:57] We mentioned it already three times now.
[00:15:59] Like it was a big, big thing.
[00:16:00] I think we kind of like just sweep it under the rug like this global pandemic happened,
[00:16:07] you know.
[00:16:08] But yeah, I think it was a big thing.
[00:16:10] And I think really our khandaun solidified at that time, you know, like a lot of people
[00:16:16] were relying on each other.
[00:16:18] Us three were relying on each other to keep us sane.
[00:16:20] And I think a lot of people got a connection with us because everybody was trying to be
[00:16:26] sane at that time.
[00:16:27] So yeah.
[00:16:29] COVID.
[00:16:29] I vividly remember us making jokes about, listen to this episode when you, you know, clean
[00:16:37] your bartans.
[00:16:42] Remember how many times we were cleaning our bartans at that time?
[00:16:47] I would say our houses were so clean in COVID.
[00:16:52] We used to make jokes about like how other people had podcasts where everyone was like,
[00:16:59] oh, I'm on a nature trail and I'm listening to a podcast.
[00:17:03] And we asked, we made the mistake of like asking our listeners like what they were doing.
[00:17:08] Do you remember this?
[00:17:09] We asked our listeners what they were doing while they were listening to our podcast.
[00:17:14] And everybody was like, I was cleaning my house.
[00:17:18] I gave my food.
[00:17:21] The leaves were gone.
[00:17:24] They were eating all of them.
[00:17:26] So we are like new to the community.
[00:17:28] And you see like a lot of people joking about like how they're like cleaning the toilet while
[00:17:32] they're like listening to Anand.
[00:17:34] That's the context.
[00:17:36] Because I think a lot of people didn't understand that, you know, like everybody was in the
[00:17:41] same boat.
[00:17:43] What are you going to do?
[00:17:45] You're just going to clean your house.
[00:17:48] I think we were just all very influenced by Katrina Kaif.
[00:17:51] She said, go bartan do.
[00:17:53] And we all started just cleaning our bartans.
[00:17:55] Like basically, Katrina kari hai to hame bhi kar nahi.
[00:17:57] You know, like I think that's what was happening.
[00:18:00] I love that Katrina, like this is like such a weird, I've forgotten about this, but I love
[00:18:05] that Katrina tried to teach us how to wash dishes.
[00:18:08] Yeah.
[00:18:09] That was amazing.
[00:18:11] As if.
[00:18:12] She's like, this is how you bartan manjo.
[00:18:15] So it's just like very nice, very nice.
[00:18:18] She was speaking to men, Amrita.
[00:18:20] She was speaking to men.
[00:18:21] Like, you know, like this is how you do it.
[00:18:25] Okay, Chitra.
[00:18:27] Next one.
[00:18:29] Hi, Aasim Sujoy.
[00:18:30] Congrats on 250.
[00:18:32] Back in 2018, I had been looking to discover Bollywood podcast and stumbled across Khandan.
[00:18:37] The first episode I listened to was the review or Aasim and Sujoy's hilarious retelling of
[00:18:44] Race 3.
[00:18:44] I have been hooked ever since.
[00:18:48] Thank you so much for continuing the podcast all these years, despite this not being your
[00:18:53] full-time job.
[00:18:54] You've really been a constant and great help for me during these tough times such as the
[00:18:58] pandemic and this past year when I had to undergo surgery.
[00:19:02] I hope you feel better, Chitra, and the surgery is all healed.
[00:19:06] I look forward to new episodes each week, whether it's reviews of the latest releases, revisiting
[00:19:12] all-time classic Khan movies, or discussing films that I'm pretty sure even the Khans wish would
[00:19:17] have been forgotten.
[00:19:20] I'm also grateful to Khandan for helping me discover new podcasts such as Filmy Ladies and Bollywood
[00:19:31] Drafts.
[00:19:32] Shout out to Beth, Pitu, and Manish.
[00:19:34] Can't wait to celebrate the 500th episode with you all next.
[00:19:40] And I like this because it's also giving a shout out to the work Beth and Pitu and Manish
[00:19:46] are doing.
[00:19:47] And I do feel we're all kind of interlinked.
[00:19:50] It all stems back to Beth's blog.
[00:19:55] That's the originator.
[00:19:57] And then people discovering this later on is like maybe think that Khandan was kind of
[00:20:02] where it spread out.
[00:20:03] And I mean, in terms of podcasting, we probably were.
[00:20:07] Especially in the early days of later stage days of YouPodcast, where I just completely
[00:20:13] gone crazy.
[00:20:15] We were podcasting with everybody at that time, right?
[00:20:18] Like those final few days before Khandan really started.
[00:20:23] So yeah, I think we can take some credit to being kind of the podcasting maven.
[00:20:27] But it all stems back to Beth Loves Bollywood and our blog, to be honest.
[00:20:32] That's where it all started.
[00:20:34] Top friend.
[00:20:34] Top friend.
[00:20:35] Top friend, Beth.
[00:20:38] Erin says, I honestly can't remember when I first found Khandan, but it was probably around
[00:20:43] 2018 or 2019 when I was in graduate school and looking for as many podcasts as I was.
[00:20:48] As possible to make it through studying.
[00:20:50] I don't have a lot of people in my day-to-day life who know anything at all about Bollywood.
[00:20:56] So it's nice to get experience, to get to experience all yours conversations.
[00:21:01] I also have a real soft spot for 90s Bollywood specifically.
[00:21:06] So the initial focus on the classic Khand era was the selling point for me.
[00:21:11] Any episodes going back to the 90s, especially the early 90s is a highlight for me.
[00:21:17] Yes, Erin.
[00:21:18] Again, foreshadowing what we're going to be doing after reading these messages.
[00:21:25] Yeah.
[00:21:27] What was I going to say?
[00:21:28] I think I forgot something.
[00:21:29] Oh, yeah.
[00:21:30] Sujoy.
[00:21:31] No, Amrita.
[00:21:32] Sorry.
[00:21:32] Have you watched Race 3 now?
[00:21:34] Since all of this hype for the Race 3 episode and our retelling.
[00:21:38] Have you actually watched Race 3?
[00:21:40] I actually, genuinely, and this is the God's honest truth.
[00:21:43] I do not know.
[00:21:47] In my memory, I have watched it.
[00:21:50] But I don't know if I actually watched it.
[00:21:52] Or else you guys have described it in such minute detail.
[00:21:57] That I have just created false memories of having watched it.
[00:22:02] So I genuinely don't know whether I've watched it or not.
[00:22:08] Yeah, I know our top friend Beth wants to do a watch-along.
[00:22:11] She's been talking about it for a long time.
[00:22:14] So if you've not watched it, maybe that would be a good time to re-watch it.
[00:22:18] I mean, I'll definitely watch it with you guys.
[00:22:21] Yeah.
[00:22:21] That's the only way.
[00:22:22] Don't watch it on your own, you know.
[00:22:26] So, Joi, man, what do you think is the hold of these 90s movies that people still really come back to?
[00:22:33] Because you can't say that it's their best work, right?
[00:22:37] Like, no.
[00:22:40] It's got to do with nostalgia of all.
[00:22:43] Because we come from a time where content was so limited.
[00:22:49] And probably Diltehra Ashik might be the famous, like, not to, like, jump the gun.
[00:22:56] But movies like Diltehra Ashik are of that era.
[00:23:00] You know, Amir Shahrukh Salman movies of that era, which were terrible.
[00:23:04] But maybe somebody had that VHS tape in their house for, like, five years.
[00:23:09] And the only thing they watched was that movie.
[00:23:13] And that instantly, whenever they now hear that soundtrack, it's just like, that used to be my favorite movies of all time.
[00:23:21] You know, it's that connection.
[00:23:23] Like, we didn't have cable TV.
[00:23:24] We had one channel on TV and VHS tapes.
[00:23:28] That was our source of entertainment.
[00:23:30] And whatever we were provided, our silly brains, you will still think, yeah, this is the best shit ever.
[00:23:39] Yeah.
[00:23:41] Okay.
[00:23:41] Two more messages.
[00:23:43] And then we'll head over to our main review, which is going to be Diltehra Ashik.
[00:23:48] So, Jackie says, she found us through the Chori Chori Chupke Chupke episode.
[00:23:53] I never stopped listening since.
[00:23:55] I listened throughout many sleepless nights with two kids.
[00:23:58] And I feel like I have found my people who love Indian cinema like I do.
[00:24:02] My favorite episode is probably the Andaz Apna Apna episode.
[00:24:05] Just every single moment of that episode to bring me joy.
[00:24:10] Thank for all of you who dedicated to bring us fun and films.
[00:24:15] I'll be honest.
[00:24:16] We've done meetups.
[00:24:17] We've met so many people.
[00:24:19] Every time it's Andaz Apna Apna or Race 3.
[00:24:22] These are the two episodes people always get back to.
[00:24:25] And it's always seemed to be those episodes that when people are down, they will go back to re-listening to these episodes.
[00:24:32] Which is just, you know, it's good that still happened.
[00:24:36] I'm just going to propose something.
[00:24:38] And, like, I think we should revisit Andaz Apna Apna and do, like, a second re-watch episode, I believe.
[00:24:47] Somewhere down the line.
[00:24:49] When there's not much Khan content out on big screens.
[00:24:53] So, I think that'd be great.
[00:24:56] The fear I have is what can we add to the previous episode?
[00:25:01] You know, that's my problem.
[00:25:02] Like, I think since the recording, I've watched Andaz Apna Apna at least 20 years.
[00:25:07] You know, like, I've seen it a lot since then.
[00:25:10] But I don't, I think we, I don't know.
[00:25:12] I don't know if we can, like, you know.
[00:25:13] I have not re-listened to that episode, right?
[00:25:16] So, I don't know what I actually said.
[00:25:18] It could be the same stupid shit I'll be repeating again.
[00:25:22] Exactly, yeah, yeah.
[00:25:22] But it'll be hilarious still.
[00:25:24] Yeah.
[00:25:25] Yeah.
[00:25:27] Also, like, speaking of I don't remember what I said, I did not remember we did Chori Chori Chupke Chupke.
[00:25:32] I don't even remember.
[00:25:33] I remember that episode because it was the first episode of Salman Khan that we did after
[00:25:39] I ne piar kia.
[00:25:40] Oh, wow.
[00:25:41] That's really old then.
[00:25:42] Okay.
[00:25:43] Okay.
[00:25:43] Okay.
[00:25:44] So, I think it was episode number four or something.
[00:25:46] Wow.
[00:25:47] Jackie's an OG, right?
[00:25:48] Like, she's a AG OG from long time ago.
[00:25:52] Logi Sunoji.
[00:25:54] Last one from Milani.
[00:25:57] I don't know if she has the accent on the E, so I'm pronouncing it as, you know, show
[00:26:01] of my French accent.
[00:26:02] But I don't know if it's actually Milani or Milani.
[00:26:08] Yeah.
[00:26:10] I can be Jarvi Kapoor too, right?
[00:26:14] No, you're Shraddha Kapoor.
[00:26:19] What are you insulting Sunni Bharti in 250 episodes?
[00:26:25] I am Asim Ke Bari.
[00:26:28] That's why I need this Patreon love, yaar.
[00:26:30] This is what I get from the Garwale, you know.
[00:26:35] So, I saw a clip of Khandan podcast on the Pony and Selvan 2 on YouTube when I was looking
[00:26:42] for reviews for the film that I loved.
[00:26:45] Since then, I listened to all our episodes from the older ones to the new ones.
[00:26:48] I love you people and the guests that come on your podcast, Sal, Beth, P2, Yamini.
[00:26:53] Yamini's coming soon.
[00:26:55] I love the fact that even you are being mean about an actor or director.
[00:26:58] It comes with a place of affection and sense of humor.
[00:27:03] Through the episodes, I have discovered so many actors.
[00:27:05] Thanks for that.
[00:27:06] And my favorite episodes are
[00:27:09] That's a great episode with Sal,
[00:27:12] and just for pure fun,
[00:27:15] listen to so many times.
[00:27:18] I feel like I am with friends while I'm listening to you.
[00:27:22] You people bring me so much joy to my daily life.
[00:27:24] Love you.
[00:27:27] Yeah.
[00:27:28] I just love that we give this feeling to people, you know,
[00:27:31] that they're listening to friends talk about, you know, bullshit and movies.
[00:27:35] And I really, this was the reason why we started the podcast.
[00:27:40] And I think it's so important and so great to hear that it's resonating still after 250 episodes.
[00:27:47] I will say,
[00:27:49] a lot of our Patreon is non-Indian listeners,
[00:27:53] just because Patreon is very hard for you to sign up with a, you know,
[00:27:58] I think with an Indian bank account.
[00:28:00] I don't know what's exactly going on.
[00:28:02] I know it's hurting our, you know, ROI generally,
[00:28:05] but I'd love to hear from our Indian listeners too,
[00:28:07] or our Pakistani listeners.
[00:28:12] Sorry, I was going to make like a really mean joke about the economical state of Pakistan,
[00:28:17] but I was like,
[00:28:17] yeah,
[00:28:18] I was going to say,
[00:28:26] drop us an email at youportesting at gmail.com.
[00:28:28] I would love to hear what you feel of the journey of 250 episodes of Khanda.
[00:28:32] And, you know,
[00:28:32] I want to read those out too,
[00:28:34] if you haven't been able to join the Patreon.
[00:28:38] And when we will be doing Instagram,
[00:28:41] join us on the Instagram live,
[00:28:42] because I would love to interact with you when we are doing those Instagram lives
[00:28:46] and keep an eye out on our socials.
[00:28:49] So, you know,
[00:28:50] when that will be sometime in November.
[00:28:52] Yeah.
[00:28:53] Anything else you guys want to add on this?
[00:28:55] Amrita Sujoy?
[00:28:57] No,
[00:28:57] thank you for,
[00:28:58] you know,
[00:28:59] joining us on this ride.
[00:29:00] And here's to many,
[00:29:01] many more.
[00:29:03] Yeah,
[00:29:03] here's to another 250.
[00:29:07] Yeah,
[00:29:07] let's get it.
[00:29:08] Let's start with our main review then,
[00:29:10] which is Dil Tera Aashik.
[00:29:15] I don't know why we picked this movie for 250th episode,
[00:29:19] to be honest.
[00:29:19] Like,
[00:29:20] I don't know what planning went.
[00:29:21] I think all the stars aligned.
[00:29:23] It couldn't have been a better match,
[00:29:25] to be honest.
[00:29:26] I can sense that we are going to have a good time talking about this movie.
[00:29:33] Yes,
[00:29:34] we,
[00:29:35] like when we,
[00:29:36] like the idea was,
[00:29:37] let's pick an old Salman Khan movie,
[00:29:39] because again,
[00:29:39] clearly,
[00:29:40] a lot of people love these older movies,
[00:29:42] and we hadn't done an older Salman one for a long time.
[00:29:45] We're running out of Amir movies.
[00:29:47] I think we're,
[00:29:47] we should do something once we have done all Amir movies.
[00:29:51] There's going to be a lot of shitty movies now,
[00:29:53] that we will have to be talking about,
[00:29:55] you know,
[00:29:55] and Dil Tera Aashik is one of those.
[00:29:57] Amrita,
[00:29:58] have you seen Dil Tera Aashik before?
[00:30:00] I don't.
[00:30:02] Is this a race three situation?
[00:30:04] Once I saw,
[00:30:05] no,
[00:30:05] no,
[00:30:06] I,
[00:30:06] once I saw Madhuri in the old lady get up,
[00:30:10] I knew that I'd seen it.
[00:30:13] But,
[00:30:13] I don't,
[00:30:15] I don't know if I remembered even a single thing about this movie.
[00:30:19] I'd forgotten that even that,
[00:30:20] that song,
[00:30:22] like,
[00:30:22] what's it called?
[00:30:24] Kamse Kam Itana Hii,
[00:30:26] what,
[00:30:26] what is it?
[00:30:28] That song,
[00:30:29] right?
[00:30:29] Kamse Kam Itana Kaha Hota,
[00:30:32] Hota,
[00:30:32] yeah,
[00:30:33] that one.
[00:30:34] Like,
[00:30:35] I remember that song,
[00:30:37] but also,
[00:30:39] and we'll talk about this later,
[00:30:41] but like,
[00:30:41] so this movie is a Lawrence D'Souza film,
[00:30:43] and Lawrence D'Souza is just one of those directors from the 90s that very clearly had his own crew,
[00:30:51] his own preferred locations.
[00:30:54] And so,
[00:30:55] you know,
[00:30:55] like everything from the interiors of the house to the sets of the parties to that tree that I think Madhuri has danced around in about 10 different movies with like different actors.
[00:31:10] Yeah.
[00:31:11] Um,
[00:31:12] the hilltop that I think both Salman and Madhuri have danced on and like Shah Rukh and Aamir and like literally everybody in the 90s has danced on that hilltop in like multiple movies.
[00:31:23] Like all of that is just so familiar that even if I hadn't seen this movie,
[00:31:28] I would have been like,
[00:31:29] yeah,
[00:31:29] I've seen this movie.
[00:31:31] Yeah.
[00:31:32] Because it's just those bits and pieces,
[00:31:34] right?
[00:31:34] Of everything.
[00:31:35] Yeah.
[00:31:36] Yeah.
[00:31:36] Um,
[00:31:38] Sujoy,
[00:31:38] Sujoy,
[00:31:39] any memories of Dil Teraşik?
[00:31:41] I had never watched this movie before.
[00:31:43] Sure.
[00:31:43] I have only heard two of the songs of this soundtrack on Chitrahaar and whatever.
[00:31:49] Um,
[00:31:49] obviously the title track is a big,
[00:31:52] big core memory of mine.
[00:31:54] It like 90s may I used to dance to this song so much as a kid.
[00:31:58] Um,
[00:31:59] it's impossible to escape this title track.
[00:32:02] But,
[00:32:03] um,
[00:32:04] I have no memory of this movie.
[00:32:05] I had no memory of Amaduri ever in a old buddhi ka wig like this.
[00:32:12] And then everything else,
[00:32:14] the whole Anupam Kheran,
[00:32:16] Kadar Khan ki Dosti and all of that.
[00:32:18] It's nuts.
[00:32:19] This movie is so 90s.
[00:32:21] I can't even believe that this even existed.
[00:32:24] Like it feels like,
[00:32:26] um,
[00:32:27] like AI generated,
[00:32:29] you know,
[00:32:30] you throw in everything and the kitchen sink and this movie is generated out of it.
[00:32:36] Um,
[00:32:37] yes,
[00:32:37] I was actually surprised to hear that this was based on a play.
[00:32:42] Um,
[00:32:42] it's called a Charlie's aunt.
[00:32:45] Have you ever heard of this play?
[00:32:46] I'd never heard of this.
[00:32:47] No,
[00:32:48] I have no idea what that is,
[00:32:50] but usually when I'm watching a movie and it's really not capturing me as much as I thought it would,
[00:32:55] I start like also doing a bit of prep work for the podcast.
[00:32:58] You know,
[00:32:59] I'll,
[00:32:59] I'll go to Wikipedia.
[00:33:00] I'll go to IMDB,
[00:33:01] try to get some facts and stuff like that.
[00:33:02] So I was reading the plot synopsis of Charlie's aunt.
[00:33:07] And it feels like somebody only read the plot synopsis of Charlie.
[00:33:11] I never actually saw the play.
[00:33:13] Yeah.
[00:33:13] Just took some ideas.
[00:33:14] And when I was like also watching it,
[00:33:16] I was like,
[00:33:17] man,
[00:33:17] this reminds me a bit of Mrs.
[00:33:19] Doubtfire,
[00:33:20] which it also came out in 1993.
[00:33:23] So I don't think that they copied something except maybe some poster,
[00:33:27] you know,
[00:33:27] Robin Williams is an old,
[00:33:28] old lady,
[00:33:29] but there's something about in that era that,
[00:33:32] you know,
[00:33:33] you want to raise,
[00:33:34] have your children raised by unknown older ladies and like,
[00:33:38] you know,
[00:33:39] wipe your hands off of it.
[00:33:40] So I remember this movie very well.
[00:33:45] Like I remember the release of it really well because I had the soundtrack and I was watching the movie.
[00:33:52] I didn't remember anything of the movie until the first song dropped and I could see my lips moving with all of the lyrics.
[00:34:00] I was like,
[00:34:00] Oh God.
[00:34:03] The Piasai Kuey Kaya Paas Ata Hai, right?
[00:34:05] Dude,
[00:34:05] I was like,
[00:34:06] wait,
[00:34:07] like a weird,
[00:34:08] like it's in,
[00:34:08] you know,
[00:34:09] Jason Bourne,
[00:34:10] like discovers he couldn't do Kung Fu.
[00:34:12] And I was like that,
[00:34:13] wait,
[00:34:14] what am I?
[00:34:16] It's like a winter soldier getting read the trigger words and coming back to life.
[00:34:21] Exactly.
[00:34:21] I was like,
[00:34:22] I knew,
[00:34:23] I knew the dance moves of color,
[00:34:25] come say come,
[00:34:25] you know,
[00:34:26] like Amrita cannot even say,
[00:34:27] I just couldn't do the whole thing.
[00:34:28] Oh man.
[00:34:29] So this was really like a repressed memory.
[00:34:33] It was,
[00:34:34] it was.
[00:34:35] And I was like,
[00:34:36] really like into Salman movies at that time.
[00:34:40] Because they weren't great Salman movies at the time.
[00:34:42] You know,
[00:34:43] he was,
[00:34:43] this is kind of a low phase,
[00:34:45] but also the phase that I really liked.
[00:34:48] So he was,
[00:34:49] the movies he's,
[00:34:50] he was doing was Love,
[00:34:53] Surya Vanshi,
[00:34:54] Ek Ladka,
[00:34:55] Ek Ladki,
[00:34:55] Jagruti,
[00:34:56] Nishche,
[00:34:57] Chandramukhi,
[00:34:58] Dilte Rashik,
[00:34:58] which came out on the same day.
[00:35:01] Both of these movies came out on the same day.
[00:35:03] And then after that,
[00:35:04] he did the,
[00:35:06] When was Sajan?
[00:35:08] Sajan was earlier.
[00:35:09] And that's the main thing.
[00:35:11] Both Sajan and,
[00:35:16] Dilte Rashik are kind of from the same crew,
[00:35:18] right?
[00:35:19] It's,
[00:35:19] and it's clearly wants to emulate a lot of Sajan,
[00:35:23] right?
[00:35:23] Yeah.
[00:35:23] It's the same director.
[00:35:25] It's the same writer.
[00:35:26] It's the same kind of music producers.
[00:35:29] Like,
[00:35:29] you know,
[00:35:30] like the,
[00:35:30] even the first song in the Jeep,
[00:35:32] it's pretty much the same Sajan song,
[00:35:34] right?
[00:35:35] Yeah.
[00:35:35] You just changed Lakshmi Khan Berde for Chichu Uncle and you're done,
[00:35:40] you know?
[00:35:41] And so there's a lot of hangover of Sajan in this,
[00:35:46] and they probably want to recreate a lot of that.
[00:35:49] I don't remember this movie being a big success though.
[00:35:52] I think both Chandramukhi and Dilte Rashik came out,
[00:35:56] but I feel this was slightly more successful basically because of the music,
[00:36:01] because the music sold.
[00:36:02] And at that time,
[00:36:05] a movie could be successful just by having a good soundtrack.
[00:36:08] And this just has that really classic 90s Nadeem Shravan song,
[00:36:13] which you kind of listen to now.
[00:36:15] And it's just so basic,
[00:36:16] right?
[00:36:17] Yeah.
[00:36:17] But you know,
[00:36:18] it made Sujoy dance at the party.
[00:36:19] So,
[00:36:20] Oh my God,
[00:36:20] that title track.
[00:36:22] Like,
[00:36:23] Tu hai sanam mera yaar.
[00:36:25] And the dholak picks up.
[00:36:27] And I'm like,
[00:36:28] Yeh mujhe kya hor rahe hai?
[00:36:29] I'm like,
[00:36:30] you know,
[00:36:30] that mask video.
[00:36:32] When they sing Cuban Pete.
[00:36:34] Your Cuban Pete.
[00:36:36] It's that.
[00:36:37] It's that for me.
[00:36:38] That I'm telling you.
[00:36:39] That I'm telling you.
[00:36:42] I just want to go run and slide on my knees immediately.
[00:36:47] In Uti.
[00:36:48] In Uti.
[00:36:49] Oh man.
[00:36:52] So,
[00:36:53] Amrita,
[00:36:54] first thoughts on,
[00:36:56] like,
[00:36:56] what is your general impression on Dil Tera Ashik,
[00:36:58] having seen it now for the podcast?
[00:37:00] Oh,
[00:37:00] I mean,
[00:37:01] it's terrible.
[00:37:05] What do you want me to say?
[00:37:08] Um,
[00:37:08] it is,
[00:37:10] first of all,
[00:37:10] it is very much one of those movies that you can tell that they were making it up as they went along.
[00:37:16] Right?
[00:37:17] 100%.
[00:37:17] On the fly.
[00:37:18] No.
[00:37:19] Yeah.
[00:37:20] There is no such thing as like a plot.
[00:37:22] There's like,
[00:37:22] this happened,
[00:37:23] this happened,
[00:37:25] oh shit,
[00:37:26] we forgot about that.
[00:37:27] So,
[00:37:28] like,
[00:37:28] this happened.
[00:37:30] I think like,
[00:37:31] a lot of the movies were getting shot in Uti and they were like,
[00:37:35] oh,
[00:37:36] Asrani is shooting in the next,
[00:37:38] you know,
[00:37:39] slot,
[00:37:39] bring him in for like five scenes.
[00:37:44] That's what Johnny Lever says a lot,
[00:37:46] right?
[00:37:46] Like,
[00:37:46] they just brought him in and they say like,
[00:37:48] this scene is yours,
[00:37:49] just do what you want.
[00:37:50] And then he just had to improvise.
[00:37:51] And it's sure,
[00:37:52] like there's a few sequences and scenes in this movie where Madhuri says something and Salman has nothing to say back because he has no lines and vice versa.
[00:38:03] You know,
[00:38:03] because Salman,
[00:38:04] Salman is just clearly just going off of vibes,
[00:38:06] right?
[00:38:06] Like he's like just doing whatever the hell he wants.
[00:38:09] And sometimes it's because there's no linchpin to hold it together.
[00:38:14] They just have nothing to say to each other.
[00:38:16] Like this movie has Salman Khan and Madhuri and neither of these huge people,
[00:38:22] which stars has an entry.
[00:38:24] They just show up.
[00:38:25] Like suddenly she just shows up.
[00:38:26] It's like,
[00:38:26] what?
[00:38:27] What happened?
[00:38:27] Like there's no buildup.
[00:38:29] They're just there and they have nothing to say.
[00:38:31] Salman Khan walks in and he has no dialogue.
[00:38:34] He's just doing the,
[00:38:35] you know,
[00:38:35] the head bop once left from Andaz Apna Apna.
[00:38:38] And Madhuri's intro scene is with Yunus Parves.
[00:38:45] I clapped so hard.
[00:38:47] But all of the supporting cast though in this movie is amazing.
[00:38:53] Like,
[00:38:53] like the people that you see in this movie are people you have not seen in ages.
[00:38:59] You know,
[00:38:59] like even the,
[00:39:02] the girl that she's sitting with in the train.
[00:39:05] Guddi Maruti.
[00:39:06] Yeah.
[00:39:08] How long have you not seen Guddi Maruti?
[00:39:10] Right?
[00:39:11] Yeah.
[00:39:11] And also Salman's friend,
[00:39:13] the big,
[00:39:14] the big guy.
[00:39:15] Chuchu Chachu.
[00:39:16] Chuchu Chachu.
[00:39:18] Chuchu Chachu.
[00:39:18] From Palat.
[00:39:19] Yeah.
[00:39:20] Bro.
[00:39:21] But like,
[00:39:23] these are all like,
[00:39:25] but you know,
[00:39:26] like even with all of those things,
[00:39:28] right?
[00:39:28] Like Salman and Madhuri are like so luminous.
[00:39:32] Like Madhuri,
[00:39:33] this is like peak.
[00:39:35] This is that era from the nineties where Madhuri,
[00:39:38] before she started working with Yashopra.
[00:39:40] So she's still wearing all that drag queen makeup,
[00:39:43] right?
[00:39:43] It's just like too much mascara.
[00:39:45] Like there's just like,
[00:39:47] like she can barely keep her eyes open in some scenes because she's got so much mascara and eye makeup on.
[00:39:53] And I'm not even kidding.
[00:39:55] Like you have to watch some of these songs.
[00:39:56] Like,
[00:39:57] you know,
[00:39:57] she's like squinting because her lashes are just like falling on her.
[00:40:04] But she,
[00:40:06] her face is just,
[00:40:07] she has like about 10 expressions for every 30 seconds.
[00:40:11] You know,
[00:40:12] like it's just such a mobile face.
[00:40:14] And she and Salman are like so great together.
[00:40:17] Like,
[00:40:19] you absolutely.
[00:40:20] It's like a film.
[00:40:21] It's like a film.
[00:40:22] It's so film.
[00:40:23] And this is despite the terrible direction because like they're like,
[00:40:26] scenes where like,
[00:40:28] you know,
[00:40:28] like,
[00:40:28] like Asim was saying,
[00:40:30] there are like scenes where Madhuri is saying and like Salman doesn't have a reply.
[00:40:34] But there are also scenes where like Salman is just staring somewhere in some,
[00:40:40] some direction.
[00:40:41] And you're like,
[00:40:42] what are you looking at?
[00:40:43] And then Madhuri comes out of like some other direction.
[00:40:46] And you're just like,
[00:40:47] what,
[00:40:47] who was the camera person for this?
[00:40:50] Like what?
[00:40:51] There's a shot.
[00:40:52] There's a shot where Salman looks at the camera straight.
[00:40:54] Like,
[00:40:55] like it's,
[00:40:56] I think it's Anupam Kher talking to the camera and Salman's eyes are just like everywhere.
[00:41:00] Like is the shot done?
[00:41:02] Am I supposed,
[00:41:02] like he does not know because there's clearly no direction.
[00:41:05] Do you know who's the camera person?
[00:41:07] The cinematography is also done by Lawrence D.
[00:41:10] Sousa.
[00:41:12] Makes sense.
[00:41:13] Can I say the movies Madhuri was in at this time,
[00:41:17] just to say,
[00:41:18] this is peak Madhuri,
[00:41:20] right?
[00:41:20] Like this is the era she in 93.
[00:41:23] She did Kal Nayak,
[00:41:24] Pool,
[00:41:25] Dil Tera Aashik,
[00:41:27] Aasubane Angare,
[00:41:28] which I don't know,
[00:41:29] Saheban,
[00:41:31] Jai Deva and Anjaam.
[00:41:33] Like the,
[00:41:33] oh,
[00:41:33] sorry.
[00:41:33] Anjaam was 94.
[00:41:35] Like this.
[00:41:36] Is Aasubane Angare the mython movie?
[00:41:40] Let me see.
[00:41:41] Is it the mython movie?
[00:41:42] It is no,
[00:41:44] it,
[00:41:44] no,
[00:41:45] it's,
[00:41:46] this stars Jitendra,
[00:41:49] and,
[00:41:51] and Deepak Tijori.
[00:41:54] You're thinking about Pool Bane Angare,
[00:41:57] the Rekha and,
[00:41:57] ah,
[00:41:59] nevermind.
[00:42:00] Man,
[00:42:00] even Pool,
[00:42:01] remember that movie Pool?
[00:42:03] That was such a big hit,
[00:42:04] that movie.
[00:42:05] Like musically,
[00:42:07] with Kumar Gaurav?
[00:42:09] Yeah.
[00:42:09] You don't remember?
[00:42:10] Wait,
[00:42:11] I thought you had never seen a Kumar Gaurav movie other than Kante.
[00:42:14] I've not seen,
[00:42:14] I've not seen Pool.
[00:42:16] I've not seen Pool.
[00:42:17] Okay.
[00:42:17] Yeah.
[00:42:18] Yeah.
[00:42:18] This was another discovery that Amrita made today.
[00:42:21] Like,
[00:42:21] we had our friend Anandari say that,
[00:42:24] um,
[00:42:24] we need to review love story.
[00:42:27] Yeah.
[00:42:27] The old love story.
[00:42:28] And I told her,
[00:42:29] I've never seen a Kumar Gaurav movie except Kante.
[00:42:32] And Amrita was like,
[00:42:34] I did not know,
[00:42:35] but that also makes completely,
[00:42:36] a lot of sense.
[00:42:40] By the way,
[00:42:41] I want to point out from the supporting cast onwards,
[00:42:44] um,
[00:42:45] but also the writer,
[00:42:47] this is a very Nepo casting,
[00:42:48] right?
[00:42:49] So the movie starts with the,
[00:42:51] um,
[00:42:52] you know,
[00:42:52] a tribute to DK Sapru,
[00:42:54] who is one of the producers,
[00:42:55] I guess,
[00:42:56] uh,
[00:42:56] Rima Rakesh Nath,
[00:42:57] who is the writer of this movie is the daughter of,
[00:43:00] um,
[00:43:00] DK Sapru,
[00:43:01] who is a veteran actor of Bollywood.
[00:43:03] He's been like judge or police officer in a lot of the black and white
[00:43:07] movies of Bollywood.
[00:43:08] And then there's obviously Tate Sapru who also plays the Pratap Singh,
[00:43:12] the nemesis of Anupam Kheer's character in this movie.
[00:43:16] Um,
[00:43:16] yeah,
[00:43:17] I just wanted to point out all those Riste Dari.
[00:43:19] So there's a lot of cameos,
[00:43:21] special appearances in this movie.
[00:43:23] Like Anil Kapoor shows up,
[00:43:24] has no dialogue.
[00:43:25] Yeah.
[00:43:25] Deepak Tujuri.
[00:43:26] Oh yeah.
[00:43:27] Yeah.
[00:43:28] Deepak Tujuri shows up and gives an award at the,
[00:43:31] in the same sequence.
[00:43:32] They're not even spread out.
[00:43:33] It's like in the same sequence,
[00:43:34] both of them show up.
[00:43:35] Like Deepak was not enough.
[00:43:37] Anil Kapoor.
[00:43:38] You know,
[00:43:38] that kind of thing.
[00:43:39] Was there any appearance,
[00:43:40] like you mentioned,
[00:43:41] Eunice Parvez,
[00:43:42] Gudi Maruti,
[00:43:42] was there ever one appearance that you like clapped or guffawed or like got
[00:43:46] really happy seeing this old face that you hadn't seen?
[00:43:49] Well,
[00:43:49] not that old face that I hadn't seen,
[00:43:52] but this movie goes on for a while.
[00:43:55] And at the two hour 10 mark,
[00:43:57] you see Shakti Kapoor.
[00:43:59] Yeah.
[00:44:00] You see Shakti Kapoor at two hour 10 mark.
[00:44:02] With Razak Khan,
[00:44:03] by the way,
[00:44:04] with Ninja Chachu.
[00:44:05] Ninja Chacha.
[00:44:06] Also playing a ninja.
[00:44:08] And Shakti Kapoor's name is Black Eye.
[00:44:12] Yeah.
[00:44:13] And he speaks in a really weird,
[00:44:16] made up language with Ninja Chacha.
[00:44:20] He does the usual Shakti Kapoor,
[00:44:22] Raja Babu thing.
[00:44:23] Like Hitchkyan,
[00:44:24] Hitchkyan,
[00:44:24] Hitchkyan,
[00:44:25] that kind of thing.
[00:44:26] Right?
[00:44:26] He does.
[00:44:28] But can I point out his gang's name is Black Eye.
[00:44:34] All of the men,
[00:44:35] his henchmen have a t-shirt with a white eye on it.
[00:44:41] It's a black t-shirt,
[00:44:43] but the eye is white.
[00:44:45] Like it just doesn't make any sense.
[00:44:47] But just wanted to point that out.
[00:44:49] Mother,
[00:44:50] Mother.
[00:44:51] Amrita,
[00:44:52] I can call you Mother now.
[00:44:54] It's podcast Mother.
[00:44:56] Was there any appearance that kind of stood out
[00:44:58] that you got happy about?
[00:44:59] Because I have one.
[00:45:00] Okay.
[00:45:01] Okay.
[00:45:01] You first.
[00:45:03] The one that really made me happy was
[00:45:05] Dr. Saab,
[00:45:06] Kedarnath Segal,
[00:45:07] showing up in this.
[00:45:10] Oh, God.
[00:45:11] Because he always plays a doctor or a policeman.
[00:45:16] And as a doctor,
[00:45:17] he gives the worst advice ever
[00:45:19] because he does not read the room whatsoever.
[00:45:23] Like this,
[00:45:23] there's this jhoparpatti,
[00:45:25] they don't have any money.
[00:45:25] And he's like,
[00:45:26] yeah,
[00:45:27] I'll ask you a lot of money.
[00:45:28] He's like,
[00:45:28] Dr. Saab,
[00:45:29] read the room.
[00:45:32] That whole
[00:45:33] madhuri setup,
[00:45:34] it was so,
[00:45:35] you know,
[00:45:37] Vidwa Maa coded.
[00:45:38] Yeah.
[00:45:44] Also,
[00:45:45] they still had a Mausi Ji
[00:45:46] sleeping outside of the...
[00:45:48] Yeah,
[00:45:49] what the hell was that?
[00:45:50] I wanted to ask you guys
[00:45:52] because I don't understand
[00:45:54] like caste in India.
[00:45:57] Maa ko khasi aani legi
[00:45:59] and she runs outside
[00:46:00] and Mausi Ji
[00:46:00] is just sleeping on the floor outside.
[00:46:02] Yeah.
[00:46:03] What is,
[00:46:03] who's,
[00:46:03] is that,
[00:46:04] Mausi Ji means aunt?
[00:46:06] Like,
[00:46:06] is that their proper aunt
[00:46:07] that they're keeping outside of the house
[00:46:09] or is this like a cleaning lady
[00:46:10] that sleeps outside?
[00:46:11] I have no idea what's happening.
[00:46:12] Okay.
[00:46:13] Yeah.
[00:46:13] That,
[00:46:13] I had questions about that
[00:46:15] because I was like,
[00:46:15] what,
[00:46:15] what are you doing,
[00:46:16] Maaduri?
[00:46:18] Yeah.
[00:46:19] Yeah.
[00:46:20] Amrita,
[00:46:20] anyone,
[00:46:21] any appearance
[00:46:21] that stood out for you?
[00:46:23] Like,
[00:46:23] Anil Kapoor or whatever,
[00:46:24] you know?
[00:46:25] I genuinely,
[00:46:26] like,
[00:46:26] I was just so,
[00:46:28] I think like 15 minutes
[00:46:29] into this movie,
[00:46:30] I was just absolutely
[00:46:31] done with it.
[00:46:34] I was like,
[00:46:35] yeh kab khatam ho ga
[00:46:36] and then it just went on
[00:46:37] for like,
[00:46:38] what seemed like
[00:46:39] the rest of my life.
[00:46:40] So,
[00:46:41] no,
[00:46:42] I think that...
[00:46:42] There are two kinds of people
[00:46:43] on this podcast.
[00:46:44] One is like Amrita
[00:46:45] who give up early
[00:46:46] and then there's Asim
[00:46:48] who wrote 10 pages of notes.
[00:46:51] I'm only on page two,
[00:46:52] guys.
[00:46:54] I also have,
[00:46:55] yeah,
[00:46:55] I also have 10 pages of notes
[00:46:57] and all my notes are,
[00:46:58] I hate this,
[00:46:59] I hate this,
[00:46:59] I hate this.
[00:47:00] When will death come to me?
[00:47:03] Those are like,
[00:47:04] my notes.
[00:47:06] You're like Jack Nicholson
[00:47:07] in The Shining.
[00:47:08] I hate this,
[00:47:10] I hate this,
[00:47:10] I hate this.
[00:47:13] Kadir Khan shows up
[00:47:14] in this too.
[00:47:16] Yes.
[00:47:18] And I love Kadir Khan.
[00:47:20] There's a few of these people,
[00:47:21] you know,
[00:47:22] watching these old movies
[00:47:23] where my love has really grown for.
[00:47:26] Kadir Khan is one of those,
[00:47:27] the other is Amrish Puri.
[00:47:28] You know,
[00:47:29] these two people,
[00:47:29] I love them so much now
[00:47:31] that I already like them,
[00:47:32] but now,
[00:47:33] you know,
[00:47:35] as a kid,
[00:47:35] when you watch them,
[00:47:36] they're like the villains
[00:47:37] or something
[00:47:38] and you have like this,
[00:47:39] oh,
[00:47:39] Kadir Khan is a comedian
[00:47:40] or the villain
[00:47:40] when you go really back,
[00:47:41] you know.
[00:47:42] So you have these feelings
[00:47:43] towards them as a kid
[00:47:44] that are like,
[00:47:44] oh,
[00:47:45] oh,
[00:47:45] they're villain,
[00:47:46] you can't like them
[00:47:46] or whatever.
[00:47:47] But as in,
[00:47:48] like going back
[00:47:49] and now watching them,
[00:47:50] they're so amazing,
[00:47:51] man,
[00:47:51] these performers.
[00:47:54] But because,
[00:47:55] you know,
[00:47:55] there was no written material
[00:47:57] to back that up.
[00:47:57] That is total,
[00:47:59] like 100% on screen talent
[00:48:01] that's been on display,
[00:48:02] you know.
[00:48:02] Yeah.
[00:48:04] Like,
[00:48:04] nobody was writing
[00:48:05] Kadir Khan's lines.
[00:48:06] It was him doing his thing
[00:48:08] and it was so good.
[00:48:09] And Kadir Khan breaks
[00:48:11] the fourth wall twice in this movie.
[00:48:13] Yeah,
[00:48:13] fucking amazing.
[00:48:14] Do you want to talk about that?
[00:48:18] I can't remember which parts though,
[00:48:20] but I did remember.
[00:48:22] One was when he's talking
[00:48:24] to Tej Sapru
[00:48:26] who's trying to,
[00:48:27] you know,
[00:48:27] cheat him.
[00:48:28] So he talks to the audience
[00:48:30] saying,
[00:48:31] you know,
[00:48:31] oh,
[00:48:32] I'm not that kind of person
[00:48:33] that gets to,
[00:48:34] would sell his soul.
[00:48:36] The second time,
[00:48:37] he's in Namaste,
[00:48:37] Namaste,
[00:48:38] the song.
[00:48:39] And they're just going,
[00:48:40] Namaste,
[00:48:41] Namaste,
[00:48:41] Namaste,
[00:48:42] Namaste,
[00:48:43] Namaste,
[00:48:43] Namaste,
[00:48:44] Namaste,
[00:48:44] Namaste.
[00:48:45] Kadir Khan switches around
[00:48:47] to the camera,
[00:48:47] like,
[00:48:47] dance,
[00:48:48] dance,
[00:48:49] dance,
[00:48:50] you know,
[00:48:50] like,
[00:48:50] this is the jam.
[00:48:51] It's just like,
[00:48:54] it's like,
[00:48:55] 7,000 times,
[00:48:56] Namaste,
[00:48:57] and that's the song,
[00:48:58] you know,
[00:48:58] like,
[00:48:58] you would think this is an
[00:49:00] Anu Malik soundtrack,
[00:49:01] but it's not.
[00:49:02] It's an Adim Shravan soundtrack.
[00:49:04] Oh,
[00:49:05] God.
[00:49:06] Hilarious.
[00:49:07] But he is dressed,
[00:49:08] so he's playing this out-of-work actor
[00:49:10] called,
[00:49:13] Kumar,
[00:49:14] but he has a Muslim name
[00:49:15] at the start.
[00:49:16] Naseeb Kumar.
[00:49:17] Naseeb,
[00:49:18] yeah.
[00:49:18] Naseeb Kumar,
[00:49:20] But he also,
[00:49:21] he's dressed like
[00:49:23] he goes to
[00:49:24] Club Angara,
[00:49:25] basically.
[00:49:26] Yeah.
[00:49:29] That's a deep cut.
[00:49:30] That's a deep cut.
[00:49:32] But it's the first thing
[00:49:34] that popped into my mind
[00:49:35] when I saw the clothes
[00:49:36] that he's wearing.
[00:49:37] They are back in fashion now,
[00:49:39] by the way.
[00:49:39] I'll be wearing
[00:49:40] a Kadir Khan suit
[00:49:41] with Raj Kapoor
[00:49:43] and Dilip Kumar
[00:49:44] all over each side.
[00:49:47] Amrita,
[00:49:47] you're saying,
[00:49:48] you know,
[00:49:49] Madhuri dresses like a drag queen
[00:49:50] and like the fashion
[00:49:51] is really bad,
[00:49:52] but there's some
[00:49:54] cuts
[00:49:54] and some
[00:49:55] looks that are amazing
[00:49:57] that 100%
[00:49:59] would work now
[00:49:59] and they look amazing.
[00:50:01] I'm pointing out one
[00:50:02] where Madhuri's playing
[00:50:04] in a yellow
[00:50:05] shalwar kameez.
[00:50:06] She looks
[00:50:07] so damn amazing
[00:50:08] and there's one
[00:50:10] with Salman
[00:50:11] where he's wearing
[00:50:11] this leather jacket
[00:50:12] with a black t-shirt
[00:50:14] underneath
[00:50:15] and like wide
[00:50:16] bottom black pants
[00:50:18] and like a chain.
[00:50:20] I was like,
[00:50:20] 100% I've seen people
[00:50:21] would die for this fit.
[00:50:23] Like,
[00:50:23] it looks amazing.
[00:50:24] But I don't know,
[00:50:25] for the rest of it
[00:50:26] it's just basically vibes,
[00:50:27] you know,
[00:50:28] they had no budget
[00:50:28] for any wardrobe
[00:50:30] or whatsoever,
[00:50:31] but a few times
[00:50:32] they look so damn
[00:50:32] interesting.
[00:50:33] Also,
[00:50:34] again,
[00:50:35] going back to the title track
[00:50:37] after the main bit
[00:50:39] and then when they
[00:50:39] change the costume,
[00:50:40] Madhuri comes in this
[00:50:41] pinkish
[00:50:42] Salman color
[00:50:43] saree.
[00:50:44] Oof.
[00:50:45] Oof.
[00:50:46] Oh yeah.
[00:50:47] Can I also say
[00:50:48] even as an old lady
[00:50:49] when she's doing
[00:50:50] that dhag dhag thing,
[00:50:51] like we were talking
[00:50:52] about the
[00:50:53] bhol bulaiya thing,
[00:50:54] right?
[00:50:54] Like you can never
[00:50:55] make Madhuri ugly.
[00:50:56] That was like the same thing.
[00:50:58] I was like,
[00:50:58] you can never make
[00:51:01] Madhuri look bad
[00:51:02] like as an old lady
[00:51:03] or whatever.
[00:51:04] She just is fire,
[00:51:05] man.
[00:51:05] Like,
[00:51:06] and she just did
[00:51:07] dhag dhag,
[00:51:08] right?
[00:51:08] She just did
[00:51:09] beta
[00:51:09] and now she's
[00:51:10] spoofing it
[00:51:11] in her own movie
[00:51:12] and she does it
[00:51:14] with comedy
[00:51:15] and then also
[00:51:17] still being like
[00:51:18] attractive and sensual,
[00:51:20] right?
[00:51:20] It's that mix
[00:51:21] that requires
[00:51:22] a skill set
[00:51:24] that,
[00:51:24] you know,
[00:51:24] is only somebody
[00:51:26] like Madhuri
[00:51:27] could deliver,
[00:51:27] you know?
[00:51:27] It's really amazing.
[00:51:31] So this movie
[00:51:32] centers around
[00:51:33] Anopam Kheir
[00:51:34] is taking care
[00:51:36] of these
[00:51:36] two kids
[00:51:38] and then Salman
[00:51:40] is also the kid
[00:51:40] which I was
[00:51:42] this twist
[00:51:43] and reveal
[00:51:44] in this story
[00:51:45] was so crazy
[00:51:46] because
[00:51:46] so the thing
[00:51:48] is that
[00:51:49] Salman
[00:51:50] and these
[00:51:50] two kids
[00:51:51] mom
[00:51:51] who is
[00:51:52] Anopam Kheir's
[00:51:53] sister
[00:51:54] married somebody
[00:51:55] and Anopam Kheir
[00:51:56] basically said
[00:51:57] I don't want
[00:51:58] to talk to you
[00:51:58] anymore
[00:51:59] like go away,
[00:52:00] right?
[00:52:01] But when the
[00:52:02] mom dies
[00:52:03] she says
[00:52:04] go to my
[00:52:05] brother's place
[00:52:06] and I kept
[00:52:07] thinking
[00:52:07] Salman is
[00:52:08] old enough
[00:52:09] to take care
[00:52:10] of these
[00:52:10] children on
[00:52:11] his own.
[00:52:12] Why does he
[00:52:13] even need to
[00:52:13] go to Anopam Kheir?
[00:52:14] Take your
[00:52:16] responsibility
[00:52:17] take care of
[00:52:19] your damn
[00:52:20] so understanding
[00:52:21] that these
[00:52:22] kids were
[00:52:24] Salman's
[00:52:25] younger siblings
[00:52:26] that absolutely
[00:52:28] made no sense
[00:52:29] to me
[00:52:30] whatsoever
[00:52:31] but
[00:52:31] so
[00:52:33] Anopam Kheir is
[00:52:34] very mean
[00:52:35] to these
[00:52:36] kids
[00:52:36] right?
[00:52:37] And that's
[00:52:37] where he
[00:52:37] needs an
[00:52:38] older nanny
[00:52:39] and that's
[00:52:40] when Madhuri
[00:52:40] comes in
[00:52:41] in the
[00:52:41] getup.
[00:52:42] The more
[00:52:43] you see
[00:52:43] these kids
[00:52:44] Amrita
[00:52:45] do you
[00:52:46] feel
[00:52:48] that Anopam
[00:52:50] Kheir was
[00:52:50] right the
[00:52:51] way he
[00:52:51] treats
[00:52:51] these little
[00:52:52] bastards?
[00:52:56] Yeah,
[00:52:57] these are
[00:52:58] like very
[00:52:58] like
[00:52:59] gande-gande
[00:52:59] bache
[00:53:00] jay
[00:53:01] like I
[00:53:02] yeah
[00:53:03] but then
[00:53:04] like also
[00:53:05] like Anopam Kheir
[00:53:06] is like
[00:53:07] cosplaying
[00:53:08] less like
[00:53:09] you know
[00:53:09] like the
[00:53:09] way he's
[00:53:10] dressed in
[00:53:11] this film
[00:53:11] it's very
[00:53:12] like
[00:53:13] pedo
[00:53:14] so
[00:53:15] every time
[00:53:16] I see him
[00:53:18] I'm just
[00:53:18] like stranger
[00:53:19] danger
[00:53:19] but also
[00:53:20] like these
[00:53:21] kids are
[00:53:22] like terrible
[00:53:22] so I'm
[00:53:23] like I
[00:53:23] don't know
[00:53:24] what to
[00:53:24] do with
[00:53:24] this.
[00:53:25] Do you
[00:53:26] feel that
[00:53:26] you are
[00:53:27] projecting
[00:53:27] that because
[00:53:28] this movie
[00:53:28] is in
[00:53:29] the
[00:53:29] Anjaam
[00:53:30] Wala
[00:53:30] Ghar
[00:53:30] like you
[00:53:31] just
[00:53:31] projecting
[00:53:32] that kind
[00:53:33] of like
[00:53:33] you know
[00:53:34] energy of
[00:53:35] this house
[00:53:35] seems to
[00:53:36] have bad
[00:53:37] mojo
[00:53:37] basically
[00:53:37] we've been
[00:53:38] talking about
[00:53:39] houses we
[00:53:40] had the
[00:53:40] whole
[00:53:40] Jigra
[00:53:40] thing where
[00:53:41] it was
[00:53:41] the
[00:53:41] house
[00:53:42] now we
[00:53:43] have
[00:53:43] the
[00:53:44] Anjaam
[00:53:44] Wala
[00:53:44] Ghar
[00:53:45] houses
[00:53:46] have energies
[00:53:47] man like
[00:53:47] it's that
[00:53:48] that worldly
[00:53:49] staircase
[00:53:50] of the
[00:53:50] Anjaam
[00:53:51] house and
[00:53:51] that nonsense
[00:53:53] pool that
[00:53:54] they have
[00:53:54] in the
[00:53:55] middle of
[00:53:55] the thing
[00:53:55] it just
[00:53:56] feels really
[00:53:56] weird like
[00:53:57] this house
[00:53:58] has really
[00:53:58] bad energy
[00:53:59] I feel
[00:54:00] yeah these
[00:54:01] kids I
[00:54:03] don't know
[00:54:03] these kids
[00:54:03] but I
[00:54:04] wanted to
[00:54:05] beat them
[00:54:05] up you
[00:54:05] know like
[00:54:06] I was
[00:54:06] like if
[00:54:07] you have
[00:54:08] a spectrum
[00:54:09] on the
[00:54:10] one hand
[00:54:10] the best
[00:54:10] child actor
[00:54:11] is probably
[00:54:12] Munni in
[00:54:13] Bajrangi
[00:54:13] Bhaijaan
[00:54:14] if you go to
[00:54:15] the other
[00:54:15] side of the
[00:54:16] spectrum you
[00:54:16] have these
[00:54:16] kids who
[00:54:17] are probably
[00:54:18] related to
[00:54:18] Laurence
[00:54:19] D'Souza I
[00:54:19] think
[00:54:21] what other
[00:54:21] reason might
[00:54:22] there be
[00:54:22] I just want
[00:54:23] to point out
[00:54:24] that
[00:54:24] Asim's
[00:54:25] favorite kid
[00:54:25] is the
[00:54:26] one that
[00:54:26] doesn't
[00:54:27] speak
[00:54:33] she does
[00:54:34] say
[00:54:34] at one
[00:54:37] point when
[00:54:38] Madhuri and
[00:54:39] the kids
[00:54:39] are like
[00:54:40] they have
[00:54:41] negotiated and
[00:54:42] they are on
[00:54:42] the same
[00:54:42] team and
[00:54:43] they start
[00:54:43] dancing
[00:54:44] they play
[00:54:45] a song
[00:54:45] which is
[00:54:46] so
[00:54:47] inappropriate
[00:54:47] they are
[00:54:48] dancing to
[00:54:49] let's talk
[00:54:50] about sex
[00:54:50] baby
[00:54:50] and I
[00:54:53] was like
[00:54:53] Laurence
[00:54:54] D'Souza
[00:54:54] you don't
[00:54:55] English
[00:54:56] don't
[00:54:58] that's what
[00:54:59] it was
[00:54:59] like
[00:55:00] in the
[00:55:00] 90s
[00:55:01] we were
[00:55:01] all
[00:55:01] listening
[00:55:02] to
[00:55:02] weird
[00:55:03] ass
[00:55:03] shit
[00:55:03] we were
[00:55:04] watching
[00:55:04] crazy
[00:55:05] things
[00:55:05] do you
[00:55:06] remember
[00:55:07] when Govinda
[00:55:08] was making
[00:55:08] those movies
[00:55:09] with that
[00:55:09] what's her name
[00:55:10] Pamela
[00:55:11] something
[00:55:11] Samantha Fox
[00:55:13] see how
[00:55:15] quickly we
[00:55:15] knew the
[00:55:16] name
[00:55:16] I don't
[00:55:19] know why
[00:55:22] oh I
[00:55:23] think we
[00:55:23] all know
[00:55:23] why
[00:55:24] but
[00:55:25] like it
[00:55:26] was
[00:55:26] it was
[00:55:27] like a
[00:55:27] very
[00:55:27] mainstream
[00:55:28] thing
[00:55:28] like nobody
[00:55:29] it wasn't
[00:55:30] like it
[00:55:30] was Govinda
[00:55:31] for the
[00:55:31] love of
[00:55:32] you know
[00:55:32] god
[00:55:33] like that's
[00:55:34] what it
[00:55:34] was like
[00:55:35] living in
[00:55:35] the 90s
[00:55:36] like there
[00:55:36] was just
[00:55:36] no such
[00:55:37] thing as
[00:55:38] like
[00:55:38] let's
[00:55:39] preserve
[00:55:40] their
[00:55:40] innocence
[00:55:42] they were
[00:55:44] yeah but
[00:55:45] somebody should
[00:55:45] have stopped
[00:55:46] no like
[00:55:46] okay Lawrence
[00:55:47] D'Souza doesn't
[00:55:48] speak English
[00:55:49] but Madhuri is
[00:55:49] also there
[00:55:51] she's a
[00:55:52] participant in
[00:55:53] whatever nonsense
[00:55:53] is going on
[00:55:54] you know
[00:55:54] like she's
[00:55:55] doing the
[00:55:55] moonwalk
[00:55:55] and stuff
[00:55:56] like that
[00:55:56] too you
[00:55:56] know
[00:55:59] what do
[00:56:00] you feel
[00:56:00] about the
[00:56:01] whole
[00:56:01] love story
[00:56:03] between
[00:56:04] Salman
[00:56:05] and Madhuri
[00:56:07] it's a
[00:56:08] very
[00:56:08] it's a
[00:56:09] very
[00:56:10] from the
[00:56:11] column of
[00:56:12] Lawrence
[00:56:12] D'Souza
[00:56:13] love story
[00:56:14] like it
[00:56:15] feels like
[00:56:16] this is how
[00:56:18] Lawrence D'Souza
[00:56:19] thinks love
[00:56:19] stories are
[00:56:20] this is how
[00:56:21] romance should
[00:56:22] be this is
[00:56:22] how a man
[00:56:23] should fall
[00:56:23] in love
[00:56:24] with somebody
[00:56:24] as freaking
[00:56:25] gorgeous as
[00:56:25] Madhuri
[00:56:26] Dixit has
[00:56:27] the you
[00:56:29] know the
[00:56:29] guts to
[00:56:30] like neg
[00:56:31] her
[00:56:31] yeah he
[00:56:32] negs her
[00:56:33] right
[00:56:33] yeah
[00:56:34] it's nuts
[00:56:35] like
[00:56:36] I will go
[00:56:38] to this
[00:56:39] hotel by
[00:56:40] myself
[00:56:42] high
[00:56:44] level
[00:56:44] elaborate
[00:56:45] negging
[00:56:46] I have
[00:56:46] never
[00:56:47] seen in
[00:56:47] my life
[00:56:48] so
[00:56:48] basically
[00:56:49] the moment
[00:56:50] that Madhuri
[00:56:50] falls in
[00:56:51] love with
[00:56:51] Salman
[00:56:52] Salman is
[00:56:52] like I'm
[00:56:53] out I'm
[00:56:53] not interested
[00:56:54] I'm gonna
[00:56:55] take this
[00:56:55] other girl
[00:56:55] to the
[00:56:56] hotel
[00:56:57] so he
[00:56:57] drives this
[00:56:58] girl to
[00:56:58] the hotel
[00:56:59] and then
[00:57:00] he goes
[00:57:01] to the
[00:57:01] room
[00:57:01] takes his
[00:57:02] shirt off
[00:57:03] while he
[00:57:04] knows that
[00:57:04] Madhuri is
[00:57:05] watching through
[00:57:05] the keyhole
[00:57:06] which back
[00:57:07] in the day
[00:57:07] in hotels
[00:57:07] you still
[00:57:08] had keyholes
[00:57:08] through a
[00:57:09] cat
[00:57:09] he's like
[00:57:10] I'm gonna
[00:57:11] have sex
[00:57:11] baby
[00:57:12] takes off
[00:57:13] his shirt
[00:57:13] because it's
[00:57:14] Salman he
[00:57:14] has to take
[00:57:14] off his
[00:57:15] shirt even
[00:57:15] then
[00:57:15] and then
[00:57:16] he's just
[00:57:17] like doing
[00:57:17] that thing
[00:57:18] where you
[00:57:18] you know
[00:57:18] you put
[00:57:19] your arms
[00:57:19] around
[00:57:20] yeah
[00:57:21] he's like
[00:57:24] showing all
[00:57:25] your smoochy
[00:57:25] smoochy moves
[00:57:26] you know
[00:57:26] and
[00:57:27] Madhuri is
[00:57:28] all this
[00:57:29] while trying
[00:57:29] to hang
[00:57:30] from the
[00:57:30] balcony
[00:57:31] just to
[00:57:31] have a
[00:57:31] look what's
[00:57:32] happening
[00:57:32] inside
[00:57:32] Madhuri
[00:57:33] does like
[00:57:33] a full
[00:57:34] parkour
[00:57:34] she's like
[00:57:35] you know
[00:57:35] in the
[00:57:35] start of
[00:57:36] James Bond
[00:57:36] she's like
[00:57:37] climbing on
[00:57:37] windows
[00:57:37] and things
[00:57:38] like that
[00:57:38] so then
[00:57:39] like aha
[00:57:39] all a joke
[00:57:40] I was on
[00:57:41] my own
[00:57:41] yeah
[00:57:42] would that
[00:57:43] work on
[00:57:43] you Amrita
[00:57:44] this elaborate
[00:57:45] technique of
[00:57:45] seduction
[00:57:46] what do
[00:57:47] you think
[00:57:47] I have
[00:57:51] another question
[00:57:51] for you
[00:57:52] also Amrita
[00:57:54] both Salman
[00:57:55] and Madhuri
[00:57:56] at a moment
[00:57:56] they run
[00:57:57] out of
[00:57:57] money
[00:57:58] so they
[00:57:58] say let's
[00:57:59] become a
[00:57:59] dance
[00:57:59] instructor
[00:58:00] yes
[00:58:00] at Asrani's
[00:58:02] dance studio
[00:58:03] at Asrani's
[00:58:03] dance studio
[00:58:04] one amongst
[00:58:05] many scenes
[00:58:06] where you're
[00:58:07] just like
[00:58:07] why
[00:58:07] why is this
[00:58:08] happening to
[00:58:09] me
[00:58:09] anyway
[00:58:10] proceed
[00:58:10] Amrita
[00:58:11] you were in
[00:58:13] Salman Khan's
[00:58:13] dance class
[00:58:15] how many
[00:58:16] lessons would
[00:58:17] you take
[00:58:18] before you
[00:58:18] ask for a
[00:58:19] refund
[00:58:21] you know
[00:58:22] I don't
[00:58:22] think I
[00:58:23] would even
[00:58:23] like stick
[00:58:24] around to
[00:58:24] ask for a
[00:58:25] refund
[00:58:25] I would be
[00:58:26] like let
[00:58:26] this be a
[00:58:27] lesson to
[00:58:27] me for
[00:58:29] signing up
[00:58:30] to this
[00:58:31] like I
[00:58:32] deserve
[00:58:32] whatever has
[00:58:34] happened to
[00:58:34] me
[00:58:35] because the
[00:58:36] dance class
[00:58:37] is so
[00:58:38] basic that
[00:58:39] they can't
[00:58:39] even count
[00:58:40] properly
[00:58:43] they're just
[00:58:44] five six
[00:58:45] seven eight
[00:58:45] like one
[00:58:46] two three
[00:58:46] and then
[00:58:50] they are doing
[00:58:51] the most
[00:58:52] tapori
[00:58:52] cheap ass
[00:58:53] dance on
[00:58:54] chagde from
[00:58:55] Apache Indian
[00:58:56] on the lawn
[00:58:58] yeah
[00:59:00] oh my
[00:59:01] god
[00:59:01] they just
[00:59:01] really let
[00:59:02] Salman do
[00:59:02] whatever the
[00:59:03] hell you
[00:59:03] wanted right
[00:59:04] like it's
[00:59:04] like to
[00:59:05] dance
[00:59:05] like yeah
[00:59:07] air humping
[00:59:08] left and
[00:59:09] right
[00:59:09] you know
[00:59:11] oh this
[00:59:12] movie
[00:59:13] because
[00:59:14] Madhuri is
[00:59:15] actually a
[00:59:15] good dance
[00:59:16] instructor I
[00:59:16] have to say
[00:59:17] like all
[00:59:17] all of our
[00:59:18] students are
[00:59:19] shit but
[00:59:20] you're an
[00:59:20] ooty what
[00:59:21] are you gonna
[00:59:21] do you
[00:59:21] know but
[00:59:23] she's actually
[00:59:23] putting in an
[00:59:24] effort she's
[00:59:24] like yeah
[00:59:25] doing the
[00:59:26] swing and
[00:59:26] dancing I
[00:59:27] clearly she's
[00:59:28] a great
[00:59:28] dancer but
[00:59:29] Salman on
[00:59:30] the other
[00:59:30] hand is
[00:59:31] just like
[00:59:32] Maheeni
[00:59:33] said I'm
[00:59:34] gonna show
[00:59:34] you all
[00:59:35] the moves of
[00:59:35] air humping
[00:59:36] possible
[00:59:38] yeah
[00:59:39] so Sujoy
[00:59:40] when you
[00:59:41] were doing
[00:59:41] these dances
[00:59:42] on Dil
[00:59:42] Tahirashik
[00:59:43] how many
[00:59:43] moves
[00:59:46] I was not
[00:59:47] following
[00:59:48] Salman's
[00:59:48] steps by
[00:59:49] the way
[00:59:49] yeah no
[00:59:50] air humping
[00:59:51] in front of
[00:59:51] uncle auntie
[00:59:52] no
[00:59:55] Sujoy
[00:59:55] dance
[00:59:57] dance
[00:59:59] air humping
[01:00:00] intensely
[01:00:02] oh man
[01:00:03] that brings
[01:00:04] back memories
[01:00:04] of dancing
[01:00:05] to Tu
[01:00:05] Cheese
[01:00:06] buddy
[01:00:06] because
[01:00:06] that had
[01:00:07] a lot
[01:00:08] of air
[01:00:08] humping
[01:00:08] within the
[01:00:09] you know
[01:00:10] Rekha
[01:00:10] and Chinni
[01:00:11] Prakash
[01:00:13] palang
[01:00:13] toad
[01:00:14] palang
[01:00:14] toad
[01:00:17] there's
[01:00:18] there's a
[01:00:18] lot of
[01:00:18] themes and
[01:00:19] like remember
[01:00:20] that sequence
[01:00:21] of the train
[01:00:22] comedy sequence
[01:00:23] where Salman
[01:00:23] and Maduri
[01:00:24] meet for the
[01:00:24] first time
[01:00:25] right
[01:00:26] why do
[01:00:27] they hate
[01:00:28] why does
[01:00:29] Maduri
[01:00:30] hate
[01:00:31] Guddi
[01:00:32] Maruti
[01:00:32] straight away
[01:00:33] the moment
[01:00:33] she comes
[01:00:34] in
[01:00:34] again this
[01:00:34] is one of
[01:00:35] those moments
[01:00:35] where I was
[01:00:36] like maybe
[01:00:37] I'm not part
[01:00:37] of the culture
[01:00:38] I don't
[01:00:38] understand
[01:00:39] she immediately
[01:00:40] hates her
[01:00:40] guts
[01:00:41] it's very
[01:00:42] fat shaming
[01:00:43] coded
[01:00:47] she's
[01:00:47] supposed to
[01:00:48] be the
[01:00:48] butt
[01:00:48] of the
[01:00:49] joke
[01:00:49] that was
[01:00:52] understood
[01:00:54] and underlined
[01:00:55] within
[01:00:56] Guddi
[01:00:57] Maruti's
[01:00:57] career is
[01:00:58] built upon
[01:00:58] that
[01:00:59] it's
[01:01:00] Tun Tun
[01:01:00] before her
[01:01:01] and now
[01:01:02] it's that
[01:01:03] that was part
[01:01:05] of our
[01:01:05] Bollywood
[01:01:05] culture
[01:01:06] in a way
[01:01:06] that's why
[01:01:07] Asrani is
[01:01:08] there
[01:01:08] that's why
[01:01:08] Johnny
[01:01:09] Lever was
[01:01:09] there
[01:01:10] it's all
[01:01:11] part of
[01:01:11] that same
[01:01:12] sort of
[01:01:12] comedic
[01:01:14] diet I
[01:01:14] suppose
[01:01:15] in that
[01:01:15] used to
[01:01:16] come
[01:01:16] as a
[01:01:17] side dish
[01:01:17] with your
[01:01:18] main movie
[01:01:19] these are
[01:01:19] the side
[01:01:19] dishes
[01:01:20] that you
[01:01:20] get
[01:01:20] yeah
[01:01:22] she's
[01:01:23] basically
[01:01:23] engaging
[01:01:25] with her
[01:01:25] she's
[01:01:26] being nice
[01:01:26] she's
[01:01:27] reading
[01:01:27] Stephen
[01:01:28] King
[01:01:29] yeah
[01:01:30] she's
[01:01:31] offering
[01:01:32] her
[01:01:32] to her
[01:01:33] and
[01:01:34] Madhuri
[01:01:34] is
[01:01:34] just
[01:01:34] immediately
[01:01:35] disgusted
[01:01:36] by it
[01:01:36] for no
[01:01:37] reason
[01:01:37] I also
[01:01:38] didn't
[01:01:39] understand
[01:01:39] why
[01:01:39] if she's
[01:01:40] taking the
[01:01:40] train to
[01:01:41] Uti
[01:01:41] why she's
[01:01:42] dressing up
[01:01:43] already as
[01:01:43] the old
[01:01:44] lady
[01:01:44] before she
[01:01:45] gets on
[01:01:45] the train
[01:01:46] you know
[01:01:46] and changes
[01:01:47] while she
[01:01:48] gets to
[01:01:49] meet Salman
[01:01:50] and then
[01:01:50] changes
[01:01:50] back into
[01:01:51] the old
[01:01:51] lady
[01:01:52] yeah
[01:01:54] speaking of
[01:01:55] doesn't
[01:01:56] make sense
[01:01:56] I have
[01:01:57] this one
[01:01:58] big problem
[01:01:58] in this
[01:01:59] movie
[01:01:59] well
[01:02:00] other than
[01:02:01] a lot
[01:02:01] of things
[01:02:02] but
[01:02:02] at one
[01:02:03] point
[01:02:04] Tej Sapru
[01:02:04] is trying
[01:02:05] to rape
[01:02:06] Madhuri
[01:02:06] and Salman
[01:02:07] comes and
[01:02:07] saves
[01:02:07] him right
[01:02:08] and then
[01:02:09] you see
[01:02:09] Salman's
[01:02:10] hand is
[01:02:10] cut
[01:02:10] and Madhuri
[01:02:11] dies
[01:02:11] so that
[01:02:13] scene
[01:02:13] happens
[01:02:13] so it
[01:02:14] is already
[01:02:15] established
[01:02:15] that this
[01:02:16] guy is
[01:02:16] the villain
[01:02:17] and Madhuri
[01:02:17] almost survived
[01:02:19] an attempt
[01:02:20] to rape
[01:02:21] and then
[01:02:22] at some
[01:02:23] other point
[01:02:24] these two
[01:02:24] sort of
[01:02:25] co-conspire
[01:02:26] in a way
[01:02:27] to do
[01:02:28] the
[01:02:28] jaydat
[01:02:29] harapo
[01:02:29] from
[01:02:30] the
[01:02:30] dhakur
[01:02:31] so why
[01:02:32] is Madhuri
[01:02:33] again
[01:02:34] on the
[01:02:35] team of
[01:02:36] this
[01:02:37] villain
[01:02:37] I didn't
[01:02:38] understand
[01:02:38] how would
[01:02:39] that make
[01:02:40] sense
[01:02:40] I think
[01:02:41] he was
[01:02:41] going to
[01:02:41] expose her
[01:02:42] and that's
[01:02:43] why she
[01:02:44] was acting
[01:02:44] like she
[01:02:45] was
[01:02:45] yeah
[01:02:47] I think
[01:02:48] that's what
[01:02:49] I understood
[01:02:50] it
[01:02:51] they just
[01:02:51] sat and
[01:02:52] had a meal
[01:02:53] yeah you
[01:02:54] tried to
[01:02:54] rape me
[01:02:55] previously
[01:02:55] but now
[01:02:56] we can
[01:02:56] just you
[01:02:57] know
[01:02:57] be
[01:02:57] civilized
[01:02:58] about it
[01:03:01] exactly
[01:03:03] in the
[01:03:04] show
[01:03:04] there's
[01:03:05] little
[01:03:05] little
[01:03:05] things
[01:03:05] yeah
[01:03:06] and
[01:03:07] Tate
[01:03:07] Sapru
[01:03:07] has no
[01:03:08] chill
[01:03:08] like
[01:03:09] he was
[01:03:10] just
[01:03:10] driving
[01:03:10] her
[01:03:11] home
[01:03:12] and then
[01:03:12] like
[01:03:13] no
[01:03:13] we'll
[01:03:14] go to
[01:03:14] my
[01:03:14] farmhouse
[01:03:15] now
[01:03:16] what
[01:03:17] is
[01:03:17] going
[01:03:17] on
[01:03:18] yeah
[01:03:18] it's
[01:03:19] one of
[01:03:20] those
[01:03:20] sequences
[01:03:20] where you
[01:03:21] know
[01:03:21] Salman
[01:03:21] is
[01:03:21] gonna
[01:03:22] come
[01:03:22] and
[01:03:22] save
[01:03:22] the
[01:03:22] thing
[01:03:23] right
[01:03:23] and
[01:03:23] it's
[01:03:24] also
[01:03:24] funny
[01:03:24] why
[01:03:25] Salman
[01:03:25] saves
[01:03:26] her
[01:03:26] and
[01:03:27] then
[01:03:27] he
[01:03:27] starts
[01:03:27] getting
[01:03:28] really
[01:03:28] pissed
[01:03:28] off
[01:03:28] at
[01:03:28] her
[01:03:29] why
[01:03:29] he
[01:03:29] had
[01:03:29] to
[01:03:29] save
[01:03:29] her
[01:03:30] you know
[01:03:34] also
[01:03:36] Mahathur
[01:03:37] is
[01:03:37] like
[01:03:37] you
[01:03:37] saved
[01:03:38] me
[01:03:38] now
[01:03:38] but
[01:03:38] that
[01:03:38] was
[01:03:39] my
[01:03:39] ride
[01:03:40] home
[01:03:40] so
[01:03:41] can
[01:03:41] you
[01:03:41] drive
[01:03:41] me
[01:03:42] to
[01:03:42] my
[01:03:42] ass
[01:03:42] room
[01:03:43] yeah
[01:03:45] I
[01:03:45] think
[01:03:46] 60%
[01:03:47] of the
[01:03:48] reason
[01:03:48] why
[01:03:48] Salman
[01:03:49] signed
[01:03:50] for
[01:03:50] this
[01:03:50] movie
[01:03:50] is
[01:03:51] to
[01:03:51] ride
[01:03:52] that
[01:03:52] trail
[01:03:52] bike
[01:03:53] that
[01:03:53] he's
[01:03:53] riding
[01:03:54] that
[01:03:54] was
[01:03:54] cool
[01:03:54] he
[01:04:21] the
[01:04:21] songs
[01:04:21] a
[01:04:22] little
[01:04:22] bit
[01:04:22] then
[01:04:22] yeah
[01:04:23] you've
[01:04:24] not
[01:04:25] seen
[01:04:25] these
[01:04:25] songs
[01:04:26] before
[01:04:26] this
[01:04:27] was
[01:04:27] new
[01:04:28] for
[01:04:28] you
[01:04:50] I
[01:04:52] oh
[01:04:52] my
[01:04:54] god
[01:04:54] this
[01:04:54] I've
[01:04:55] been
[01:04:55] playing
[01:04:56] this
[01:04:56] title
[01:04:56] track
[01:04:57] all
[01:04:57] week
[01:04:58] long
[01:04:58] this
[01:04:59] is
[01:04:59] my
[01:05:00] jam
[01:05:00] and
[01:05:01] I
[01:05:01] think
[01:05:02] Kumar
[01:05:02] Shanu's
[01:05:03] voice
[01:05:04] along
[01:05:04] with
[01:05:05] Alkay
[01:05:05] Agnik
[01:05:06] to
[01:05:06] this
[01:05:07] sort
[01:05:07] of
[01:05:08] an
[01:05:08] arrangement
[01:05:09] and
[01:05:10] the
[01:05:10] whole
[01:05:10] setting
[01:05:11] of
[01:05:11] Madhuri
[01:05:11] and
[01:05:12] Salman
[01:05:12] dancing
[01:05:12] like
[01:05:13] this
[01:05:13] is
[01:05:14] just
[01:05:15] like
[01:05:16] a
[01:05:16] gift
[01:05:16] from
[01:05:16] the
[01:05:17] 90s
[01:05:17] to
[01:05:17] me
[01:05:17] it's
[01:05:18] specifically
[01:05:19] made
[01:05:19] for
[01:05:19] me
[01:05:20] it
[01:05:20] feels
[01:05:20] like
[01:05:20] that
[01:05:20] you
[01:05:21] know
[01:05:21] I
[01:05:22] freaking
[01:05:23] love
[01:05:23] the
[01:05:23] title
[01:05:23] track
[01:05:25] what
[01:05:25] I
[01:05:25] don't
[01:05:26] like
[01:05:26] is
[01:05:27] why
[01:05:28] are
[01:05:28] Sudesh
[01:05:29] Bostle
[01:05:29] and
[01:05:30] this
[01:05:30] other
[01:05:31] guy
[01:05:31] Mukul
[01:05:31] Agarwal
[01:05:32] who
[01:05:32] sang
[01:05:32] I
[01:05:33] think
[01:05:34] if
[01:05:34] those
[01:05:34] were
[01:05:35] sung
[01:05:35] by
[01:05:35] Kumar
[01:05:35] Shanu
[01:05:36] those
[01:05:36] will
[01:05:36] also
[01:05:37] be
[01:05:37] bigger
[01:05:38] hits
[01:05:38] I
[01:05:38] think
[01:05:39] no
[01:05:40] shade
[01:05:40] to
[01:05:41] these
[01:05:41] people
[01:05:41] who
[01:05:41] tried
[01:05:42] to
[01:05:42] make
[01:05:42] make
[01:05:42] their
[01:05:42] careers
[01:05:42] but
[01:05:43] yeah
[01:05:44] I
[01:05:45] hated
[01:05:46] the
[01:05:46] heck
[01:05:46] out
[01:05:46] of
[01:05:47] Namaste
[01:05:47] Namaste
[01:05:49] I
[01:05:50] think
[01:05:50] it's
[01:05:51] one of
[01:05:51] those
[01:05:51] songs
[01:05:52] that
[01:05:52] they
[01:05:52] can
[01:05:52] use
[01:05:52] as
[01:05:52] torture
[01:05:53] in
[01:05:53] Guantanamo
[01:05:54] way
[01:05:54] just
[01:05:55] like
[01:05:55] scream
[01:05:57] Namaste
[01:05:57] there
[01:05:57] to
[01:05:58] you
[01:05:58] all
[01:05:58] the
[01:05:58] time
[01:06:00] but
[01:06:00] I
[01:06:00] did
[01:06:03] not
[01:06:03] know
[01:06:04] this
[01:06:04] song
[01:06:05] existed
[01:06:05] because
[01:06:06] this
[01:06:06] is
[01:06:06] such
[01:06:06] a
[01:06:07] terrible
[01:06:08] written
[01:06:09] and
[01:06:09] terribly
[01:06:10] sung
[01:06:10] song
[01:06:11] by
[01:06:11] Kudet
[01:06:11] Narayan
[01:06:13] I
[01:06:13] don't
[01:06:13] like
[01:06:14] this
[01:06:14] song
[01:06:14] at
[01:06:14] all
[01:06:14] it's
[01:06:15] a
[01:06:15] very
[01:06:15] you
[01:06:16] said
[01:06:18] throwback
[01:06:18] to
[01:06:21] but
[01:06:23] also
[01:06:23] like
[01:06:24] is
[01:06:26] what
[01:06:26] they're
[01:06:26] trying
[01:06:27] to
[01:06:27] do
[01:06:27] yeah
[01:06:29] no
[01:06:29] he
[01:06:29] had
[01:06:30] quite
[01:06:30] a few
[01:06:31] good
[01:06:31] songs
[01:06:31] Mukesh
[01:06:32] Agarwal
[01:06:32] at
[01:06:32] that
[01:06:32] moment
[01:06:33] like
[01:06:33] he
[01:06:33] was
[01:06:34] yeah
[01:06:37] I
[01:06:38] was
[01:06:38] it's
[01:06:39] a
[01:06:39] very
[01:06:40] different
[01:06:41] sounding
[01:06:42] voice
[01:06:42] right
[01:06:42] but
[01:06:44] it
[01:06:44] was
[01:06:44] like
[01:06:44] yeah
[01:06:45] it's
[01:06:50] that's
[01:06:50] like
[01:06:50] such
[01:06:51] a
[01:06:51] big
[01:06:51] track
[01:06:51] too
[01:06:51] right
[01:06:52] so
[01:06:52] he
[01:06:52] had
[01:06:52] like
[01:06:53] a
[01:06:53] little
[01:06:53] moment
[01:06:53] I
[01:06:54] also
[01:06:54] thought
[01:06:54] like
[01:06:55] when
[01:06:55] I
[01:06:55] was
[01:06:56] listening
[01:06:57] to
[01:06:57] the
[01:06:58] first
[01:06:58] song
[01:06:59] the
[01:07:00] Jeep
[01:07:00] song
[01:07:01] right
[01:07:01] what's
[01:07:01] it
[01:07:01] called
[01:07:03] that's
[01:07:04] sung by
[01:07:04] Udit
[01:07:05] Narayan
[01:07:05] yeah
[01:07:07] Udit
[01:07:07] Narayan
[01:07:08] and Salman
[01:07:08] don't
[01:07:09] go
[01:07:09] together
[01:07:10] like
[01:07:10] the
[01:07:14] for
[01:07:14] me
[01:07:14] at
[01:07:15] all
[01:07:15] there's
[01:07:16] just
[01:07:16] something
[01:07:16] that
[01:07:17] the
[01:07:18] physicality
[01:07:18] of it
[01:07:19] doesn't
[01:07:19] work
[01:07:20] yeah
[01:07:22] even
[01:07:22] Shah Rukh
[01:07:23] pulls
[01:07:23] it off
[01:07:24] but
[01:07:24] Samman
[01:07:25] with
[01:07:25] Udit
[01:07:25] doesn't
[01:07:25] work
[01:07:26] Kumar
[01:07:27] Shanu
[01:07:27] works
[01:07:28] completely
[01:07:28] and
[01:07:29] SP
[01:07:29] Bala
[01:07:29] is
[01:07:30] SP
[01:07:30] Bala
[01:07:30] of course
[01:07:31] even
[01:07:32] Mukol Agarwal
[01:07:33] works for
[01:07:34] me
[01:07:34] but
[01:07:34] because
[01:07:35] I really
[01:07:36] like
[01:07:36] Kam Se
[01:07:36] Kam
[01:07:36] I really
[01:07:37] like
[01:07:37] Kam Se
[01:07:38] Kam
[01:07:38] itna
[01:07:38] ka
[01:07:38] hota
[01:07:39] especially
[01:07:40] the little
[01:07:40] finger
[01:07:40] wagging
[01:07:41] dance
[01:07:44] I
[01:07:47] think
[01:07:48] they
[01:07:48] brought
[01:07:49] Sudesh
[01:07:49] Mosle
[01:07:49] for
[01:07:50] Mujay
[01:07:51] Kuch
[01:07:51] Kaina
[01:07:51] because
[01:07:52] they
[01:07:52] wanted
[01:07:52] him
[01:07:53] to
[01:07:53] sing
[01:07:53] for
[01:07:54] Anupam
[01:07:54] Kher
[01:07:54] also
[01:07:55] in the
[01:07:56] same
[01:07:56] song
[01:07:56] and
[01:07:57] they
[01:07:57] didn't
[01:07:57] hire
[01:07:58] two
[01:07:58] different
[01:07:58] singers
[01:07:59] so
[01:07:59] there's
[01:08:00] like
[01:08:00] Sudesh
[01:08:00] to
[01:08:00] kar
[01:08:01] le
[01:08:01] yeah
[01:08:01] yeah
[01:08:02] it's
[01:08:03] I do
[01:08:03] have
[01:08:04] to
[01:08:04] shout
[01:08:04] out
[01:08:04] you
[01:08:05] said
[01:08:05] you
[01:08:05] know
[01:08:05] like
[01:08:05] you
[01:08:06] don't
[01:08:06] like
[01:08:06] namaste
[01:08:06] namaste
[01:08:07] but
[01:08:08] there
[01:08:08] is
[01:08:08] a
[01:08:08] moment
[01:08:09] where
[01:08:09] Madhuri
[01:08:10] is
[01:08:10] in
[01:08:10] braids
[01:08:11] wearing
[01:08:12] like
[01:08:14] Bastille
[01:08:15] and
[01:08:16] I
[01:08:17] thought
[01:08:17] that
[01:08:17] was
[01:08:17] pretty
[01:08:17] awesome
[01:08:19] yeah
[01:08:21] Madhuri
[01:08:21] is
[01:08:21] just
[01:08:21] so
[01:08:22] good
[01:08:22] man
[01:08:22] she
[01:08:22] can
[01:08:22] do
[01:08:22] everything
[01:08:23] right
[01:08:23] when
[01:08:24] she's
[01:08:25] doing
[01:08:25] Madonna
[01:08:26] she's
[01:08:26] doing
[01:08:26] these
[01:08:27] breakdance
[01:08:27] kind
[01:08:27] of
[01:08:27] moves
[01:08:28] she's
[01:08:28] doing
[01:08:28] the
[01:08:28] breakdance
[01:08:29] moves
[01:08:29] when
[01:08:29] she's
[01:08:29] doing
[01:08:30] let's
[01:08:31] talk
[01:08:31] about
[01:08:31] sex
[01:08:31] and
[01:08:32] then
[01:08:32] she
[01:08:32] can
[01:08:33] do
[01:08:33] the
[01:08:33] classical
[01:08:33] dancing
[01:08:34] the
[01:08:34] Bollywood
[01:08:34] dancing
[01:08:35] and
[01:08:35] then
[01:08:35] she's
[01:08:36] doing
[01:08:36] the
[01:08:36] 5-6-7-8
[01:08:37] thing
[01:08:37] which
[01:08:37] is
[01:08:44] the
[01:08:45] dance
[01:08:45] of
[01:08:46] this
[01:08:46] movie
[01:08:46] is
[01:08:46] off
[01:08:46] the
[01:08:47] charts
[01:08:47] Saroj
[01:08:48] Khan
[01:08:48] is
[01:08:48] at
[01:08:48] the
[01:08:48] top
[01:08:49] of
[01:08:49] her
[01:08:49] game
[01:08:49] the
[01:08:50] dancing
[01:08:50] bits
[01:08:51] of
[01:08:51] this
[01:08:51] movie
[01:08:51] where
[01:08:51] Madhuri
[01:08:52] gets to
[01:08:52] dance
[01:08:53] is a
[01:08:53] completely
[01:08:54] different
[01:08:54] movie
[01:08:55] than
[01:08:56] the
[01:08:56] rest
[01:08:56] of
[01:08:56] the
[01:08:57] movie
[01:08:57] and
[01:08:58] yeah
[01:08:58] and it
[01:08:59] shows
[01:08:59] like
[01:08:59] again
[01:09:00] coming
[01:09:01] back
[01:09:01] to
[01:09:02] yeah
[01:09:06] any
[01:09:07] final
[01:09:07] notes
[01:09:08] on
[01:09:08] should
[01:09:09] people
[01:09:10] go
[01:09:10] watch
[01:09:11] it
[01:09:11] what
[01:09:11] do
[01:09:11] you
[01:09:11] feel
[01:09:11] friends
[01:09:13] don't
[01:09:13] let
[01:09:13] friends
[01:09:14] watch
[01:09:15] what
[01:09:19] about
[01:09:20] your
[01:09:20] notes
[01:09:21] I'll
[01:09:21] be the
[01:09:22] pied
[01:09:22] piper
[01:09:23] who
[01:09:33] Anupam
[01:09:34] Khair
[01:09:34] has
[01:09:35] this
[01:09:35] misunderstanding
[01:09:36] that
[01:09:36] is
[01:09:37] Banja
[01:09:37] and
[01:09:37] everybody
[01:09:37] is
[01:09:37] trying
[01:09:38] to
[01:09:38] rip
[01:09:38] him
[01:09:38] off
[01:09:38] and
[01:09:39] they
[01:09:39] have
[01:09:40] ended
[01:09:41] their
[01:09:42] relationship
[01:09:43] on a
[01:09:43] bad
[01:09:43] note
[01:09:44] and
[01:09:44] then
[01:09:44] obviously
[01:09:45] the
[01:09:45] villains
[01:09:46] come
[01:09:46] and
[01:09:46] fight
[01:09:47] and
[01:09:47] Salman
[01:09:47] tries
[01:09:48] to
[01:09:48] sacrifice
[01:09:48] himself
[01:09:49] to
[01:09:49] save
[01:09:49] his
[01:09:50] uncle
[01:09:50] and
[01:09:50] whatever
[01:09:51] and
[01:09:52] Anupam
[01:09:53] Khair's
[01:09:53] name
[01:09:53] is
[01:09:54] Thakur
[01:09:55] Ranbir
[01:09:55] Singh
[01:09:55] Chaudhary
[01:09:56] at
[01:09:57] this
[01:09:57] point
[01:09:57] when he
[01:09:58] tries
[01:09:58] to
[01:09:59] outside
[01:09:59] the
[01:09:59] hospital
[01:10:00] he's
[01:10:00] praying
[01:10:00] to
[01:10:02] the
[01:10:02] statue
[01:10:03] with
[01:10:03] baby
[01:10:04] Jesus
[01:10:05] Lawrence
[01:10:06] D'Souza
[01:10:06] you are
[01:10:07] a
[01:10:07] cinematic
[01:10:08] god
[01:10:08] for
[01:10:08] introducing
[01:10:09] pseudo
[01:10:09] secularism
[01:10:10] out of
[01:10:11] all
[01:10:12] the
[01:10:12] things
[01:10:13] yeah
[01:10:15] yeah
[01:10:15] it's
[01:10:16] it's
[01:10:17] it's
[01:10:17] a trip
[01:10:17] I think
[01:10:18] a lot
[01:10:18] of
[01:10:18] people
[01:10:18] were
[01:10:19] you know
[01:10:20] really
[01:10:20] looking
[01:10:21] forward
[01:10:21] to
[01:10:21] we
[01:10:21] put
[01:10:22] this
[01:10:22] as
[01:10:22] a
[01:10:22] vote
[01:10:22] I
[01:10:23] was
[01:10:23] hoping
[01:10:23] we
[01:10:23] would
[01:10:23] vote
[01:10:24] for
[01:10:24] Bagi
[01:10:24] which
[01:10:24] is
[01:10:25] a
[01:10:25] movie
[01:10:25] I
[01:10:25] want
[01:10:25] to
[01:10:25] revisit
[01:10:27] for
[01:10:27] the
[01:10:27] podcast
[01:10:28] I
[01:10:33] we
[01:10:33] can
[01:10:33] talk
[01:10:34] about
[01:10:34] it
[01:10:34] afterwards
[01:10:35] I
[01:10:35] am
[01:10:35] not
[01:10:36] watching
[01:10:36] it
[01:10:37] although
[01:10:37] I
[01:10:37] really
[01:10:37] want
[01:10:38] to
[01:10:38] watch
[01:10:38] it
[01:10:38] because
[01:10:38] I
[01:10:38] love
[01:10:39] Bagi
[01:10:40] people
[01:10:41] were
[01:10:41] like
[01:10:41] let's
[01:10:42] go for
[01:10:42] Dilteyarashik
[01:10:43] because
[01:10:43] Madhuri
[01:10:43] is there
[01:10:43] and
[01:10:44] there were
[01:10:44] some
[01:11:04] forgettable
[01:11:04] movie
[01:11:05] me and
[01:11:07] Sujoy
[01:11:07] were
[01:11:07] talking
[01:11:08] about
[01:11:08] it
[01:11:08] when
[01:11:08] he
[01:11:08] was
[01:11:09] watching
[01:11:09] it
[01:11:09] I
[01:11:10] had
[01:11:10] already
[01:11:10] seen
[01:11:10] it
[01:11:10] I
[01:11:11] think
[01:11:11] you
[01:11:11] have
[01:11:11] to
[01:11:11] watch
[01:11:12] it
[01:11:12] as
[01:11:12] oh
[01:11:13] this
[01:11:13] is
[01:11:13] like
[01:11:13] a
[01:11:13] theatrical
[01:11:14] comedic
[01:11:14] farce
[01:11:15] there
[01:11:16] are
[01:11:16] no
[01:11:16] stakes
[01:11:16] there
[01:11:17] are
[01:11:17] no
[01:11:17] big
[01:11:18] stories
[01:11:18] they're
[01:11:18] just
[01:11:18] set
[01:11:19] pieces
[01:11:19] that
[01:11:19] are
[01:11:19] happening
[01:11:20] but
[01:11:20] a
[01:11:20] very
[01:11:20] small
[01:11:21] cast
[01:11:21] and
[01:11:22] that's
[01:11:22] how
[01:11:23] you
[01:11:23] watch
[01:11:23] it
[01:11:23] they
[01:11:24] don't
[01:11:24] make
[01:11:24] these
[01:11:24] movies
[01:11:25] anymore
[01:11:26] and
[01:11:26] I
[01:11:26] think
[01:11:26] there's
[01:11:33] hot
[01:11:33] stars
[01:11:34] doing
[01:11:34] their
[01:11:34] thing
[01:11:35] working
[01:11:35] on
[01:11:35] chemistry
[01:11:36] but
[01:11:36] also
[01:11:37] like
[01:11:37] Lawrence
[01:11:38] D'Souza
[01:11:38] put
[01:11:38] some
[01:11:39] effort
[01:11:39] even
[01:11:40] with
[01:11:41] the
[01:11:41] most
[01:11:41] generous
[01:11:41] viewings
[01:11:42] of
[01:11:42] this
[01:11:42] doesn't
[01:11:43] pass
[01:11:44] muster
[01:11:44] and
[01:11:44] even
[01:11:44] in
[01:11:45] terms
[01:11:45] of
[01:11:45] other
[01:11:46] movies
[01:11:47] that
[01:11:47] Lawrence
[01:11:47] D'Souza
[01:11:48] has
[01:11:48] done
[01:11:48] this is
[01:11:49] probably
[01:11:50] one of
[01:11:50] the
[01:11:50] weaker
[01:11:50] ones
[01:11:51] right
[01:11:51] like
[01:11:51] oh
[01:11:52] absolutely
[01:11:53] I
[01:11:53] mean
[01:11:54] especially
[01:11:54] if you
[01:11:55] compare
[01:11:55] it to
[01:11:55] Sajan
[01:11:56] and stuff
[01:11:56] like
[01:11:56] that
[01:11:56] you know
[01:11:57] what
[01:11:57] else
[01:11:58] did
[01:11:58] he
[01:11:58] do
[01:11:58] he
[01:11:58] did
[01:12:00] I'm
[01:12:03] nothing
[01:12:04] of
[01:12:04] it
[01:12:04] is
[01:12:04] great
[01:12:04] to
[01:12:05] be
[01:12:05] honest
[01:12:05] he
[01:12:06] did
[01:12:06] 17
[01:12:07] movies
[01:12:10] Sapne
[01:12:11] Sajan
[01:12:11] Ke
[01:12:12] Sajan
[01:12:12] Sangram
[01:12:13] I seem
[01:12:14] to remember
[01:12:14] that movie
[01:12:15] Sangram
[01:12:17] and then
[01:12:18] everything
[01:12:19] like
[01:12:19] Arzu
[01:12:20] that was
[01:12:20] the last
[01:12:21] one
[01:12:21] that he
[01:12:21] did
[01:12:22] with
[01:12:23] Madhuri
[01:12:24] Akshay
[01:12:25] wasn't
[01:12:25] there too
[01:12:26] yeah
[01:12:26] that was
[01:12:28] also a
[01:12:29] Sajan
[01:12:29] kind of
[01:12:30] thing
[01:12:30] no
[01:12:30] that was
[01:12:31] the other
[01:12:31] one
[01:12:31] with
[01:12:32] wow
[01:12:33] what's
[01:12:33] going on
[01:12:34] in this
[01:12:34] like
[01:12:34] I'm
[01:12:34] seeing
[01:12:35] he
[01:12:35] also
[01:12:35] did
[01:12:35] Papi
[01:12:36] Gudiya
[01:12:36] which
[01:12:37] you know
[01:12:38] it's
[01:12:38] like a
[01:12:38] B-movie
[01:12:39] classic
[01:12:39] is it
[01:12:40] yeah
[01:12:41] okay
[01:12:42] it's
[01:12:42] a
[01:12:42] Chucky
[01:12:42] copy
[01:12:43] no
[01:12:44] okay
[01:12:45] I'm
[01:12:45] just
[01:12:46] going
[01:12:46] through
[01:12:46] the
[01:12:46] Arzu
[01:12:47] screenshots
[01:12:48] on
[01:12:48] IMDV
[01:12:49] and you
[01:12:49] have
[01:12:49] like
[01:12:49] Madhuri
[01:12:50] is in
[01:12:50] a tub
[01:12:51] and
[01:12:51] Akshay
[01:12:52] is bare
[01:12:52] chested
[01:12:53] and then
[01:12:53] they're
[01:12:53] making
[01:12:53] out
[01:12:54] under
[01:12:54] a
[01:12:54] shower
[01:12:56] where
[01:12:57] is
[01:12:58] Arzu
[01:12:58] streaming
[01:12:58] I
[01:12:59] said
[01:13:02] yeah
[01:13:03] okay
[01:13:03] that
[01:13:04] was
[01:13:04] it
[01:13:04] for
[01:13:04] Dil
[01:13:05] Tera
[01:13:05] Ashik
[01:13:05] and
[01:13:06] that
[01:13:06] was
[01:13:06] it
[01:13:06] for
[01:13:06] episode
[01:13:07] 250
[01:13:08] I
[01:13:09] think
[01:13:09] we
[01:13:09] were
[01:13:10] pretty
[01:13:10] much
[01:13:22] so
[01:13:23] I
[01:13:23] hope
[01:13:23] you
[01:13:24] guys
[01:13:24] enjoyed
