[00:00:00] Namaskar! Welcome to another episode of Editorial. Donald Trump, the President of United States has decided to cut fundings to major Ivy League universities.

[00:00:17] Now, this is a bad move by itself, but this move also indicates to a very dangerous future. This move indicates that possibly this world is approaching a new world order, something that we have not seen before, possibly something that this world has never experienced before.

[00:00:45] Let's talk about this. This is going to be a slightly longish editorial, so you can view it at that 1.5 speed, ideally, so that, you know, you can finish this editorial fast. But there are a couple of things I want to share with you. So it's going to be slightly longish. Let's get right into the show.

[00:01:04] So, Trump said, told his universities that, listen, you know what? We don't want any pro-Hamas discussion in your campus. Which also means that we don't want any pro-Palestinian discussion in your campus. Which could also mean that we don't want any anti-Israel discussion in your campus.

[00:01:40] Which could also mean that we don't want any pro-Palestinian discussion in your campus. According to Trump, Trump says that pro-Hamas vandalism intimidation in college campus targeting the leftist anti-American institution fostering anti-Semitism will not be allowed.

[00:02:02] So, he is mixing up a lot of things. Pro-Hamas is definitely not positive or pro-Hamas itself is wrong because Hamas, they are terrorists. So to that extent, of course, one understands.

[00:02:20] But this pro-Hamas very easily turns into pro-Palestine. So if you speak pro-Palestine, it could be interpreted as you are speaking pro-Hamas. Speaking for the Palestinians is not necessarily wrong.

[00:02:40] Speaking for the right of Palestinians may not necessarily wrong. So now look at it. Anything that you speak pro-Palestinian could be seen as you speaking pro-Hamas could be seen as you being anti-America.

[00:02:59] This is how Trump is putting it. Trump says, if you speak or you promote any discussion in your campus, any debates in your campus that promotes anti-Israel or pro-Palestinian, which could then be construed as pro-Hamas, we will stop your funding.

[00:03:25] And for students who have come from various parts of the world, including India, including India, if those students participate, next day morning we will deport them, throw them away out of the country. Because you, he says, are anti-American.

[00:03:43] Now, if you see this entire directive, if you see this entire directive, this looks and is a very far-right directive. Trump has crossed the limit of being a right-wing government or a right-wing administration to a far-right administration.

[00:04:11] On March 19th, the Department of Education and Civil Rights Office issued formal warnings to 60 institutions, including Ivy League colleges. They warned them of potential enforcement action if they do not fulfill the obligation under Title VI of the Civil Rights to protect Jewish students on the campus. The point I wanted to make here, students in the campus only speaks what they are told or they are directed to speak.

[00:04:41] And if the campus does not allow, then you are thrown out. Your fundings are taken away, the colleges' fundings are taken away and the student is thrown out. Now, Harvard, Harvard said no way. Harvard said no way we are going to allow this. Harvard, the US Department of Education said on Monday, it was freezing 2.3 billion in federal funding to Harvard University

[00:05:07] over the students' decision to fight White House demands, including that it shut down the diversity, equality and inclusion program of Harvard. Harvard University announced that it won't comply to the list of demands of Trump as part of its campaign against anti-Semitism, which would put almost 9 billion funding at risk.

[00:05:33] I want to very specifically address what Donald Trump had tweeted or whatever, X or whatever, on his best friend's platform, that is Twitter platform. I want to read that out because it's very, very important and it talks to you about the mindset of Donald Trump.

[00:06:01] Donald Trump says that everyone knows that Harvard has lost its way. They hired New York Bill D and Chicago L'Oreal at ridiculously high salaries, fees, two of the worst and most incompetent mayors in the history of our country to teach municipal management and government.

[00:06:24] These two radical left fools left behind two cities that will take years to recover from their incompetence and evil. Harvard has been hiring almost all woke radical left idiots. Mind you, this is a president speaking.

[00:06:45] And this president is talking about other incompetent mayors and wherein a lot of world today believes that this president himself is possibly one of the most incompetent presidents that America ever had. So mind you, he is the one who is making this or who is making this statement. Coming back, Harvard has been hiring almost all woke radical left idiots and bird brains.

[00:07:14] Bird brains. You are only capable of teaching failure to students and so-called future leaders. Look just at the recent past as their plagiarizing president who so greatly embarrassed Harvard before the United States Congress.

[00:07:32] When it got so bad that they couldn't take it anymore, they moved his grossly inept woman into another position, teaching rather than firing one on the spot. Since then, much else has been found out about her, but she remains in place. Many others like these leftist dopes are teaching in Harvard.

[00:07:56] And because of that, Harvard can no longer be considered even a decent place of learning and should not be considered on any list of world's greatest universities or colleges. Harvard is a joke, teaches hate and stupidity and should no longer receive federal funds. Thank you for your attention on this matter. This is what a president talks about one of their premium most universities.

[00:08:24] Though his own president, the president of that particular country goes to the world and humiliates one of the most premium institute of his own country. Is he not anti-American? Harvard has created few of the best minds in the world. Few of the best minds in the world.

[00:08:48] Look at the words that the president is using against that university and the people concerned in that university purely because they refuse to budge to what he said. They refuse to budge to what he wants them to say. To refuse to budge what he wants them to teach their students. Look at the words he is using.

[00:09:13] He said that perhaps Harvard should lose its tax exemption status and be taxed as political entity if it keeps pushing political, ideological and terrorist inspired supporting sickness. Remember tax exempt status is totally contingent on acting in public interest. Like a lot of other leaders I know.

[00:09:37] Trump also thinks that tax exemption, government money is something that he has bought from his own bank, his own house. He speaks as if all this belongs to him. So like a lot of other leaders I know too, here is another man who says that if you don't agree to me, I will teach you a lesson.

[00:09:59] There are some leaders who uses central forces to teach lesson and there are some leaders who uses money because this is a capitalist leader who uses money to teach lesson. Some leaders would put you behind bars and some would ensure that you're throttled with your monies are freezed. Let me also add, the current Supreme Court Chief Justice is from Harvard in United States.

[00:10:29] Lot of Supreme Court judges, judges are from Harvard. So this is the institution that this man is commenting on. The president of that country is commenting on. The president of Harvard, Alan Gaba, in the letter to the Harvard community on Monday said that the demands violated the university's first amendment rights that exceeds the statutory limit of the government's authority under title 6,

[00:10:59] which prohibits discrimination against students based on their race, color and national origin. No government, said the Harvard university, regardless of whichever party in power should dictate what private universities can teach, whom they can admit and hire and which area of study and inquiry they can pursue.

[00:11:27] Now, like I told you, I'm connecting it to my first part of the editorial. The first thing that a far right organization, far right leader would want to do is to change your thought process, to indoctrinate his thought process onto yours and the best place to start is the campus.

[00:11:48] You know, Hitler, end of the day, we all go back to the same man, Hitler and Nazi regime significantly altered Germany's education system after coming to power in 1933. Their goal was to indoctrinate youth with Nazi ideology, emphasizing radical purity, militarism and loyalty to the state,

[00:12:09] which they changed their curriculum overall, teachers control, youth integration, censorship of book burning, gender based education, so on and so forth. They indoctrinated their thought process through this education system. The last point I wanted to make is what my title says. There is something that Mr. Donald Trump should learn from Dr. Manmohan Singh.

[00:12:36] You know, incidentally, Manmohan Singh had gone to the JNU campus in 2005. He was Prime Minister, he was one year down, few months down, not few, six or seven months down after he became, he took over as the Prime Minister. Almost a year. He went to JNU campus. And when he went to JNU campus, he was greeted with black flags.

[00:13:05] Now, a lot of people around him thought that, you know, Manmohan Singh may walk out, Manmohan Singh may ask the Calvacate to, you know, go back. He may ask everybody to go back or he may not attend the function. He may not talk to the students. He may refuse to talk to the students. There will be security concerns, so on and so forth. So a lot of people thought that that event will never take place. But that event took place and Dr. Manmohan Singh, who lot of them, who lot of people used to call Manmohan Singh, Dr. Manmohan Singh spoke.

[00:13:35] And I'm going to end my editorial with what he spoke. He said, every member of a university community, if he or she wishes to aspire to be worthy of the university, must accept the truth of Volatire's classic statement. Volatire proclaimed that I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend to death your right to say it.

[00:14:04] That idea must be the cornerstone of a liberal institution. A JNU professor to this had said that the students waved a black flag at him. The vice chancellor then received a call from the PMO asking him to be lenient with the students as protesting is their right. The students were then let off with a warning.

[00:14:31] The PMO walked in to this Jawaharlal Nehru University. Students were protesting against him. He didn't say that, oh, you are protesting against me? My thought, you are anti-India. He didn't say that. To the contrary, he said that, listen, protesting is something that you should defend with your life. He quoted Volatire when he said that, you know what?

[00:14:56] I may beg to differ with you, but I will give my life to ensure that you get an opportunity to say what's in your heart. That's liberalism. That's when world order expands. That's when peace prevails. When I hear you, you hear me. The moment this concept of hearing you and you hearing me is stopped, impediments are put onto that.

[00:15:24] That's when conflict starts. That's when differences turn to war. War turns to world wars. This is the point that I wanted to make. And this is why I said that possibly Trump should take Dr. Manmohan Singh's advice and what he said very seriously. Till I see you next time.

[00:15:53] That's tomorrow at 10. Namaskar.
