Have you heard of that famous quote from Spiderman, "With great power comes great responsibility"? But I feel that it's the other way round. You will only be given power when you are responsible enough to handle it.
I drive deep into this concept in this podcast and will open your mind to a new perspective.

Speaker 1: We've all heard this famous quote from Spiderman that says
00:00:02
Speaker 1: with great power comes great responsibility. But my take on
00:00:05
Speaker 1: this is with great responsibility comes great power to have
00:00:10
Speaker 1: great power. You gotta be responsible. First. Let's get in.
00:00:14
Speaker 1: I'm sure the first time you heard this quote was
00:00:15
Speaker 1: in a spider-man movie or even quoting it back to
00:00:18
Speaker 1: Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi who speaks about this concept
00:00:23
Speaker 1: that with great power comes great responsibility.
00:00:26
Speaker 1: Now my take on this is that it's actually the
00:00:28
Speaker 1: opposite
00:00:30
Speaker 1: because when you are responsible, that's when you'll be given
00:00:34
Speaker 1: more power to do things. Like uh if you remember
00:00:38
Speaker 1: in school days, those of you who have been in
00:00:41
Speaker 1: the good books of the teachers, you've been good prefects
00:00:43
Speaker 1: in your school or you have really, you know, showed
00:00:46
Speaker 1: your commitment towards your academics, then you are given the
00:00:49
Speaker 1: powers to do different things. If you remember the school
00:00:52
Speaker 1: in your school, he was not just randomly chosen like that.
00:00:55
Speaker 1: It is because he or she, whoever was a school
00:00:57
Speaker 1: captain during your school days, demonstrated responsibility in their younger
00:01:01
Speaker 1: days or in their academics or in their extra curricular
00:01:04
Speaker 1: or everything else only then they were given the power.
00:01:08
Speaker 1: So school captains
00:01:10
Speaker 1: cricket team, if you look at MS do, he was
00:01:12
Speaker 1: not given the power of captaincy just randomly because he
00:01:16
Speaker 1: demonstrated responsibility in his own career in his own performance.
00:01:20
Speaker 1: For many, many many years, he was given the power
00:01:23
Speaker 1: to then lead the team. So this is the same
00:01:26
Speaker 1: concept even in life, a lot of us think that
00:01:29
Speaker 1: in order to have a lot of power, we need
00:01:33
Speaker 1: to do a lot of things. But it all starts
00:01:35
Speaker 1: with the basics of being responsible.
00:01:38
Speaker 1: And I want to just break it down into what
00:01:40
Speaker 1: are the areas of responsibility that we need to be
00:01:42
Speaker 1: aware of and work on. If you have to really
00:01:45
Speaker 1: attract that lifestyle of power and power here is not
00:01:48
Speaker 1: the negative power which you're gonna be misusing. But it
00:01:52
Speaker 1: is more about a sense of control and abundance in
00:01:55
Speaker 1: your life that you would never even thought would be possible.
00:01:59
Speaker 1: So let's get in and let's break down the different
00:02:01
Speaker 1: areas of responsibility.
00:02:04
Speaker 1: It all starts by making your own bed. If you
00:02:07
Speaker 1: remember in your school days, your parents might have told
00:02:10
Speaker 1: you make the bed, make your bed, you know, put
00:02:12
Speaker 1: your things in its place, keep your room clean. All
00:02:15
Speaker 1: of this stuff is uh something that we've been growing
00:02:18
Speaker 1: up with. And there have been moments where some of
00:02:20
Speaker 1: us used to keep our rooms like a junkyard. And
00:02:22
Speaker 1: I remember my room, my room used to get a
00:02:24
Speaker 1: junkyard from time to time. And then, of course, I
00:02:26
Speaker 1: used to clean it myself. But I think the first
00:02:28
Speaker 1: step to response ability, if you break the wood
00:02:32
Speaker 1: is your ability to respond to a situation.
00:02:36
Speaker 1: So it starts by how can you do the most
00:02:39
Speaker 1: basic things in your own life without you having to
00:02:43
Speaker 1: depend on others where you, your ability to respond is, uh,
00:02:47
Speaker 1: is at the highest level,
00:02:49
Speaker 1: making your bed cleaning your own stuff. Uh Making sure
00:02:53
Speaker 1: that what are your basic needs are met and you
00:02:56
Speaker 1: don't have to depend on others for too many things.
00:02:59
Speaker 1: So this is an aspect of responsibility in your personal
00:03:03
Speaker 1: life and personal things that are around you.
00:03:06
Speaker 1: Now, let's look at personal decisions. This is like one
00:03:10
Speaker 1: level above. Are you responsible for your decisions or are
00:03:13
Speaker 1: you somebody who feels that ok? Whatever happens is happens,
00:03:17
Speaker 1: it's ok and you don't take responsibility of your decisions
00:03:19
Speaker 1: or responsibility of your actions. These have a direct implication
00:03:23
Speaker 1: in your life in your personal life, in your career,
00:03:25
Speaker 1: in your business. Some of the most successful people in
00:03:28
Speaker 1: the world are the ones who take full responsibility of
00:03:30
Speaker 1: their actions and decisions without blaming others or complaining others
00:03:35
Speaker 1: or just,
00:03:36
Speaker 1: you know, passing the buck on to others. So let's
00:03:39
Speaker 1: look at which areas you need to take responsibility when
00:03:42
Speaker 1: it comes to your actions. And connecting it to a
00:03:45
Speaker 1: digital business. Number one is I heard this uh you know,
00:03:48
Speaker 1: beautiful quote that you can have many, many coaches, trainers, mentors.
00:03:53
Speaker 1: You can go through many courses, videos, youtube, videos, podcasts
00:03:56
Speaker 1: like this,
00:03:57
Speaker 1: you can learn as much as you want. But ultimately,
00:04:01
Speaker 1: you have to take action and take responsibility of the
00:04:04
Speaker 1: knowledge that you have with you. So the first thing
00:04:06
Speaker 1: is taking responsibility of the knowledge that you receive,
00:04:11
Speaker 1: the ability to respond to the knowledge that you receive.
00:04:13
Speaker 1: That's what is responsibility of your knowledge. That's the first aspect. Now,
00:04:17
Speaker 1: the second aspect is the responsibility of your actions.
00:04:21
Speaker 1: How are you going to act based on the knowledge
00:04:24
Speaker 1: that you've just received?
00:04:26
Speaker 1: There's going to be one category of a person who
00:04:28
Speaker 1: listen to this, listen to this podcast. They'd be like, OK, whatever.
00:04:31
Speaker 1: Uh and I'll get back to life and they have
00:04:33
Speaker 1: another category of person who listens to this podcast and
00:04:35
Speaker 1: is like, yes, I need to do a mental audit
00:04:38
Speaker 1: and I need to really be the person who I
00:04:41
Speaker 1: need to be in order for me to attract the
00:04:45
Speaker 1: lifestyle that I want.
00:04:46
Speaker 1: See, that was a long time during my initial days
00:04:49
Speaker 1: in the career where I was depending on others. I
00:04:52
Speaker 1: did not take personal responsibility of my life and my
00:04:54
Speaker 1: financial situation and my financial situation was not very good
00:04:57
Speaker 1: and I was blaming others complaining others and you know,
00:05:00
Speaker 1: pointing fingers at other things where the actual reason why
00:05:06
Speaker 1: I was not growing in my life. And my business
00:05:08
Speaker 1: was because of my own uh actions and my own
00:05:11
Speaker 1: thoughts and my own beliefs.
00:05:13
Speaker 1: And the day that I took personal responsibility where I
00:05:16
Speaker 1: healed the past and I healed all those people who
00:05:19
Speaker 1: I felt were enemies in my life. They were actually
00:05:21
Speaker 1: disguised angels who are helping me on my journey and
00:05:24
Speaker 1: helping me progress towards my goals. So when I blessed
00:05:27
Speaker 1: them and when I took responsibility and put the hat
00:05:31
Speaker 1: back on myself and took charge, that's when things started
00:05:35
Speaker 1: to change.
00:05:36
Speaker 1: So the first level is responsibility in terms of the knowledge,
00:05:40
Speaker 1: ability to respond to knowledge. The second is responsibility in
00:05:43
Speaker 1: terms of actions, what are, what actions are gonna be
00:05:46
Speaker 1: taking
00:05:48
Speaker 1: and these actions are more to do with your own
00:05:49
Speaker 1: personal actions and for your personal life. Now, we have
00:05:52
Speaker 1: the next level of responsibility, responsibility to our family.
00:05:57
Speaker 1: Now, many of us, we may be so busy with
00:06:00
Speaker 1: what we are doing in our business in our life
00:06:02
Speaker 1: and sometimes we neglect our family. We neglect the quality
00:06:05
Speaker 1: time that we need to give our kids, especially when
00:06:08
Speaker 1: they are growing up. Now, that is also a responsibility,
00:06:11
Speaker 1: having Children, you know, intimately connecting with your spouse and
00:06:16
Speaker 1: having a deep and intimate relationship or on a deep
00:06:19
Speaker 1: level of friendship with your spouse or your partner.
00:06:22
Speaker 1: This is also an ability to respond. It's a responsibility
00:06:26
Speaker 1: in not your own actions but responsibility in your family
00:06:29
Speaker 1: and relationships. A lot of people who struggle in business,
00:06:33
Speaker 1: they don't realize that it is not a business problem.
00:06:36
Speaker 1: It is a personal problem that's showing up in their business.
00:06:41
Speaker 1: We normally don't have business problems. We have personal problems
00:06:43
Speaker 1: that show up in business. So please understand that responsibility
00:06:47
Speaker 1: in relationships, relationship with yourself, starting with that relationship with
00:06:51
Speaker 1: your family members and your and dear ones
00:06:53
Speaker 1: and relationship with your friends circle. How are you keeping
00:06:58
Speaker 1: that relationship? All of these factors also determine how high
00:07:02
Speaker 1: you're gonna be growing. Now, there could be some people
00:07:04
Speaker 1: in your life who are not aligned with your goals
00:07:06
Speaker 1: and visions and it's not that you have to be
00:07:07
Speaker 1: a people pleaser and say yes to whatever they say.
00:07:09
Speaker 1: But if you feel that there are some people who
00:07:11
Speaker 1: are not aligned with your visions and goals, you don't
00:07:13
Speaker 1: have to be in their uh purview. They don't need
00:07:17
Speaker 1: to be in your aura, in your energy. They can
00:07:19
Speaker 1: be wherever they are. You just bless them and let
00:07:21
Speaker 1: them be where they are. You don't have to
00:07:23
Speaker 1: really mix uh two chemicals to create a reaction. OK?
00:07:26
Speaker 1: You can keep them far away, you know what I'm
00:07:28
Speaker 1: talking about. So, responsibility in relationships is also awareness in
00:07:33
Speaker 1: terms of where you know, your relationships are with yourself
00:07:37
Speaker 1: and others around you and how far or near to
00:07:40
Speaker 1: keep people based on your goals and visions.
00:07:44
Speaker 1: And then we have another level of responsibility, responsibility towards society,
00:07:48
Speaker 1: responsibility towards our community.
00:07:51
Speaker 1: If you see a piece of paper in the airport
00:07:54
Speaker 1: falling on the ground, are you gonna take it, pick
00:07:56
Speaker 1: it up and put it in the bin or are
00:07:58
Speaker 1: you just gonna walk past it?
00:08:00
Speaker 1: You may be thinking, oh, it is just after all, another,
00:08:02
Speaker 1: just a small piece of paper. So what somebody will
00:08:04
Speaker 1: come and clean it. Now, that is also your ability
00:08:07
Speaker 1: to respond to a small thing. Let's say it's 11
00:08:10
Speaker 1: 30 pm in the night. You're driving in your car
00:08:12
Speaker 1: and you come to a signal light where the signal
00:08:14
Speaker 1: light says stop and it is in red. Now, what
00:08:18
Speaker 1: are you going to do? There's nobody on the road,
00:08:19
Speaker 1: there's nobody watching. Are you gonna just cut that signal
00:08:22
Speaker 1: and go or are you just gonna stay there and
00:08:24
Speaker 1: follow the rules and respond
00:08:27
Speaker 1: to the laws irrespective of whether it is late in
00:08:29
Speaker 1: the night or early in the morning? Now, that is
00:08:31
Speaker 1: a question that everyone needs to ask themselves. That's the
00:08:34
Speaker 1: question that you got to ask yourself is, are you
00:08:39
Speaker 1: being responsible when nobody's watching?
00:08:43
Speaker 1: That is a true test of responsibility. So responsibility to
00:08:46
Speaker 1: society is this part is where you can uphold the
00:08:51
Speaker 1: values
00:08:52
Speaker 1: on which you're living your life, whether somebody is watching
00:08:56
Speaker 1: you or not. Because if all of us do this,
00:08:59
Speaker 1: follow the rules and regulations of the land. We also follow,
00:09:03
Speaker 1: pay our taxes on time. We are living our life
00:09:08
Speaker 1: uh with the highest values and ethics and morals that
00:09:11
Speaker 1: is going to be contributing to the greater good of society.
00:09:15
Speaker 1: If we are aligned in that way,
00:09:18
Speaker 1: that is your direct response and contribution to the growth
00:09:21
Speaker 1: of society by large.
00:09:24
Speaker 1: You know,
00:09:25
Speaker 1: Gandhi says, right, be the change you want to see
00:09:28
Speaker 1: in the world, you cannot change others, but you can
00:09:31
Speaker 1: change yourself.
00:09:33
Speaker 1: And the best way to change yourself is to be
00:09:37
Speaker 1: in an environment that
00:09:39
Speaker 1: uh propagates this change to be in an environment that
00:09:42
Speaker 1: supports this change. In fact, my mentor Blessinger, he also
00:09:45
Speaker 1: says that you can't change people, but if you change
00:09:48
Speaker 1: their environment, they will change.
00:09:50
Speaker 1: So by helping people create their own code of honors.
00:09:54
Speaker 1: So let's say you're building a community of your own
00:09:56
Speaker 1: and you're gonna be helping people craft their own value
00:09:58
Speaker 1: system
00:10:00
Speaker 1: and their records of honor. And when a situation arises
00:10:03
Speaker 1: in their life, they will go back to identifying what
00:10:07
Speaker 1: their values are and that will help them respond in
00:10:09
Speaker 1: the best possible way.
00:10:11
Speaker 1: So we have responsibility in terms of knowledge, responsibility, in
00:10:15
Speaker 1: terms of personal actions, responsibility, in terms of personal relationships
00:10:21
Speaker 1: around us
00:10:22
Speaker 1: are near and dear ones and our responsibility towards society.
00:10:27
Speaker 1: And of course, at a universal level, a responsibility towards
00:10:32
Speaker 1: mankind as a whole and towards a creator
00:10:36
Speaker 1: which were path or religion or process that you follow.
00:10:40
Speaker 1: We have the supreme being the supreme creator who controls
00:10:44
Speaker 1: multi universes.
00:10:46
Speaker 1: And how are we being responsible to our creator? How
00:10:50
Speaker 1: are we responding to our creator?
00:10:53
Speaker 1: Do we have the ability to respond to our creators signals?
00:10:59
Speaker 1: Now, that is a question you gotta ask yourself. Do
00:11:01
Speaker 1: you have any kind of spiritual grounding inclination? Because only
00:11:05
Speaker 1: when you have
00:11:07
Speaker 1: responsibility in all these different areas, you will be given
00:11:11
Speaker 1: the power to do great things.
00:11:14
Speaker 1: You want to build large communities, you want to impact
00:11:17
Speaker 1: a million lives. You want to inspire 100 people achieve
00:11:21
Speaker 1: their goals. You have created your own mission and vision statements.
00:11:24
Speaker 1: You want those to come true. It all goes back
00:11:27
Speaker 1: to
00:11:28
Speaker 1: you making your bed every morning.
00:11:31
Speaker 1: You're eating on time, you're eating healthy, you're taking care
00:11:35
Speaker 1: of your body, you're taking care of your relationships,
00:11:38
Speaker 1: you're taking care of the soul that is inside you.
00:11:42
Speaker 1: You're taking care of every single thing
00:11:45
Speaker 1: that is gonna help you move towards your goals.
00:11:48
