00:00:00

Speaker 1: Do you sometimes feel numb when it comes to technology

00:00:03

Speaker 1: and you feel that there's so much to do while

00:00:05

Speaker 1: actually building and growing a coaching business. If that's the case,

00:00:08

Speaker 1: this podcast is for you. I'm gonna be sharing with

00:00:09

Speaker 1: you six ways on how you can bust this fear

00:00:12

Speaker 1: for good.

00:00:14

Speaker 1: I still remember the first time I walked into my

00:00:16

Speaker 1: Sound Engineering Institute in the year 2001. Uh there were

00:00:20

Speaker 1: around 20 people in that batch and in that entire batch,

00:00:23

Speaker 1: I was the one who felt that I was technologically

00:00:26

Speaker 1: so challenged. That means I did not know anything about computers.

00:00:30

Speaker 1: All of my friends were talking about Ram and Rom

00:00:32

Speaker 1: and this and that. And I felt so out of place.

00:00:35

Speaker 1: And I remember on that day when I actually entered

00:00:39

Speaker 1: the first day of school and, and the college institute

00:00:41

Speaker 1: and I experienced this, I decided that

00:00:44

Speaker 1: by the, by the time I leave this institute, I

00:00:46

Speaker 1: need to overcome all of this. Because if I was

00:00:49

Speaker 1: going to continue in that same pattern of thinking of

00:00:51

Speaker 1: myself as a non technology person, then there's no way

00:00:55

Speaker 1: I could have got to the entire Institute. In fact,

00:00:57

Speaker 1: by the end of those nine months, I was able

00:01:00

Speaker 1: to completely rip apart a studio and put it back together,

00:01:02

Speaker 1: whether it's an analog studio or a digital studio. So

00:01:05

Speaker 1: what I want to share with you in this audio

00:01:06

Speaker 1: will be really inspiring for you because I've been through

00:01:08

Speaker 1: that same journey of having fear with technology, but facing

00:01:11

Speaker 1: it head on and

00:01:13

Speaker 1: right now, if you see, I can qualify myself as

00:01:15

Speaker 1: a geek in this space. And uh and I just

00:01:18

Speaker 1: fell in love with the whole process of how to

00:01:21

Speaker 1: approach overcoming technology hurdles and especially in the coaching business.

00:01:24

Speaker 1: I know many of you here who are listening to this,

00:01:26

Speaker 1: maybe in my community or maybe above 40 50 plus

00:01:30

Speaker 1: in age and you have kind of thought to yourself

00:01:32

Speaker 1: that maybe this is not the right thing for me

00:01:34

Speaker 1: or maybe this is uh you know, only for people

00:01:38

Speaker 1: who are more acclimatized to technology and stuff like that.

00:01:41

Speaker 1: But having said that

00:01:42

Speaker 1: the answer is anybody can change, anybody can grow. It

00:01:45

Speaker 1: doesn't matter whether you're 75 80 years old, it doesn't

00:01:48

Speaker 1: matter whether you're a nine year old kid.

00:01:50

Speaker 1: Today, we are living in a world where if you're

00:01:52

Speaker 1: not adapting and adopting technology, you're going to be living

00:01:56

Speaker 1: in a stone age. And it's just a matter of

00:01:57

Speaker 1: time uh that somebody else will actually overtake you. And

00:02:00

Speaker 1: I don't want you to become a dinosaur in today's

00:02:02

Speaker 1: day and age. But let's get into the six points

00:02:04

Speaker 1: right now. The first way on how to overcome the

00:02:07

Speaker 1: fear of technology while building a coaching business is to

00:02:10

Speaker 1: drop the tags and be open to learning.

00:02:13

Speaker 1: You know, what are the tags? I'm too old. I'm

00:02:15

Speaker 1: too young. I'm a nontechnical person. I'm, uh, you know, whatever. I, I'm,

00:02:20

Speaker 1: I'm not having this background. I've not studied this. All

00:02:24

Speaker 1: that is just BS if you ask me, um, drop

00:02:27

Speaker 1: those tags and be open to learning. And when you

00:02:30

Speaker 1: drop the tags, it just opens up a whole new

00:02:33

Speaker 1: world of opportunities because now you're removing the lid

00:02:36

Speaker 1: off from your head. And you're saying that I'm, it

00:02:39

Speaker 1: does not matter what my background is. All that matters

00:02:42

Speaker 1: is what I want to put into my head. And

00:02:45

Speaker 1: that is the first starting point when it comes to

00:02:48

Speaker 1: overcoming any kind of technology hurdles. And that's what happened

00:02:50

Speaker 1: in my case when I entered the Diplomats Sound engineering

00:02:53

Speaker 1: course on day one, I decided that I'm gonna drop

00:02:56

Speaker 1: this tag saying that I'm not a technical guy, but

00:02:59

Speaker 1: I'm gonna become a technical guy in the next 3

00:03:01

Speaker 1: to 4 months. And, and I, I was determined to

00:03:02

Speaker 1: actually make that happen. OK?

00:03:04

Speaker 1: The second way to overcome the fear of technology while

00:03:07

Speaker 1: building a coaching business is to stop looking at the peak.

00:03:12

Speaker 1: Now, the peak could be many things you're looking at,

00:03:15

Speaker 1: people are making lacks of rupees per month, crows every

00:03:18

Speaker 1: single year. You're looking at many other coaches who are

00:03:21

Speaker 1: nailing it and doing high flying videos and high five

00:03:24

Speaker 1: studio set up and all kinds of, you know, really

00:03:26

Speaker 1: crazy audio gear. And you're looking at these creators and

00:03:29

Speaker 1: influencers and they are like 20, 30, 40 likes on

00:03:32

Speaker 1: their post. And suddenly you're putting yourself down in a

00:03:35

Speaker 1: pit and you are looking at everybody as the peak.

00:03:40

Speaker 1: And you're thinking that oh man, for me to get

00:03:42

Speaker 1: to that level of becoming an ultimate coach that is,

00:03:44

Speaker 1: you know, it's so difficult because I have to literally

00:03:47

Speaker 1: climb Mount Everest right now. But honestly, everybody who achieved anything,

00:03:53

Speaker 1: even in our, in our community, in the internet, we

00:03:55

Speaker 1: have so many, we have many 10 path, we have

00:03:58

Speaker 1: many six figure on everybody started at ground zero. So

00:04:02

Speaker 1: the secret to overcoming the fear of technology is to

00:04:04

Speaker 1: stop looking at the peak and just focus on your

00:04:07

Speaker 1: next step.

00:04:08

Speaker 1: If you're going through the hackathon, just complete everything at

00:04:11

Speaker 1: the pace of the hackathon. If you're going through my courses,

00:04:14

Speaker 1: follow the pace of learning of the courses. In fact,

00:04:16

Speaker 1: if you're not a part of my community, just go

00:04:17

Speaker 1: to internet life sell dot com on the menu on

00:04:19

Speaker 1: the top, there is something called path. Click on the path.

00:04:22

Speaker 1: I've beautifully designed the path. In fact, the brand new

00:04:24

Speaker 1: path page has been designed and you can go and

00:04:26

Speaker 1: check it out later yourself

00:04:28

Speaker 1: before I had it as a PDF download. But now

00:04:30

Speaker 1: I have it as a beautiful uh you know, visualization

00:04:33

Speaker 1: on the website itself. So if you follow the path,

00:04:36

Speaker 1: you won't get overwhelmed by the peak. And when you're

00:04:39

Speaker 1: going along with the, you know, the members of the community,

00:04:42

Speaker 1: especially if you're in the hackathon, I put you into

00:04:43

Speaker 1: different teams and stuff. It makes the journey so much fun.

00:04:46

Speaker 1: So you're not focusing so much about the overwhelm when

00:04:48

Speaker 1: it comes to technology and you, but you're only focusing

00:04:51

Speaker 1: on the next step.

00:04:52

Speaker 1: OK? Now, the third way to overcome the fear of

00:04:54

Speaker 1: technology in a coaching business is to learn one tool

00:04:58

Speaker 1: or one skill at a time,

00:05:01

Speaker 1: you don't have to learn everything in one go.

00:05:03

Speaker 1: What you can do is dedicate one weekend for one tool.

00:05:06

Speaker 1: So let's say it's gonna be a learning management system,

00:05:09

Speaker 1: spend one weekend on learning that it's gonna be an

00:05:11

Speaker 1: email marketing system, spend one weekend on learning that if

00:05:14

Speaker 1: it's gonna be a tracking system because there are many,

00:05:17

Speaker 1: there are at least 3 to 4 critical systems that

00:05:19

Speaker 1: I even I use in my business.

00:05:20

Speaker 1: I recommend for everybody to really get hands on. So

00:05:23

Speaker 1: if you can dedicate to one weekend for one tool,

00:05:25

Speaker 1: spend 4 to 5 hours understanding all the features, click

00:05:28

Speaker 1: on every single part of the tool and with that

00:05:30

Speaker 1: open mind, you just understand the logic brand, how it

00:05:33

Speaker 1: works and it's easy. The second time you do it,

00:05:35

Speaker 1: you'll be much faster at it.

00:05:37

Speaker 1: And that's what happens. Most people, they don't even take

00:05:39

Speaker 1: that first step and they get stuck in a loop

00:05:42

Speaker 1: and they're expecting others to do it for them and

00:05:44

Speaker 1: everything gets delayed, their launch gets delayed and the entire

00:05:47

Speaker 1: business goes for a toss.

00:05:49

Speaker 1: So number three is learn 11 tool or one skill

00:05:51

Speaker 1: at a time. Number four is the best way to

00:05:54

Speaker 1: overcome the fear of technology while building a coaching business

00:05:57

Speaker 1: is to find an accountability partner or a hackathon buddy. Now,

00:06:01

Speaker 1: if you're not a part of our community, please go

00:06:02

Speaker 1: to S ID ZSS dot co slash join and join

00:06:06

Speaker 1: us low membership. You can be a part of a

00:06:08

Speaker 1: hackathon and once you're in the hackathon, I'm gonna be

00:06:10

Speaker 1: mapping you into teams where you can hand hold each

00:06:13

Speaker 1: other and hold each other accountable as you go through

00:06:15

Speaker 1: the entire journey.

00:06:16

Speaker 1: In the current version of the hackathon, I'm mapping people

00:06:18

Speaker 1: into groups of five and these five people, they work

00:06:22

Speaker 1: with each other, they push each other so that they

00:06:24

Speaker 1: finish the entire hackathon and receive the freedom finisher awards.

00:06:27

Speaker 1: So I made this into a really fun game because

00:06:29

Speaker 1: those of you have this fear of technology when you're

00:06:30

Speaker 1: on your own, there's a high probability that you will

00:06:33

Speaker 1: quit and you'll move over giving excuses that, you know,

00:06:35

Speaker 1: this is too much for me to handle and stuff

00:06:37

Speaker 1: like that. When you have even one or two people

00:06:39

Speaker 1: on the other side who are pushing you and saying that, hey,

00:06:41

Speaker 1: you can't give up right now. You got to move forward.

00:06:43

Speaker 1: You gotta like,

00:06:43

Speaker 1: you know, make this happen no matter what, ok. Don't,

00:06:46

Speaker 1: don't quit right now. When you have those kind of

00:06:48

Speaker 1: people surrounding you, you will learn technology and you will

00:06:51

Speaker 1: start to make progress much faster than ever.

00:06:54

Speaker 1: Number five, if you want to overcome the fear of

00:06:57

Speaker 1: technology while building a coaching business, beat the complacent mind.

00:07:01

Speaker 1: This mind is like a monkey mind. It jumps from

00:07:03

Speaker 1: one place to the other. Your mind can either be

00:07:05

Speaker 1: your best friend or your worst enemy. We know that

00:07:06

Speaker 1: some of you might have heard of this before. Even it,

00:07:08

Speaker 1: it's written in the bug with also, right? Even Arjuna

00:07:12

Speaker 1: goes to Krishna and says I can control the wind

00:07:15

Speaker 1: but I can't control my mind. But Lord Krishna tells

00:07:17

Speaker 1: him that it's ok, Arjuna, even if you can't control

00:07:19

Speaker 1: the wind,

00:07:20

Speaker 1: uh if you can't control your mind, you can. But

00:07:22

Speaker 1: through practice, through practice, anything can happen in the beginning,

00:07:25

Speaker 1: it may be difficult. But later on, it gets better

00:07:28

Speaker 1: as I say, right, your your environment is stronger than

00:07:31

Speaker 1: your willpower.

00:07:32

Speaker 1: And in case some of you here have this issue

00:07:35

Speaker 1: where you start to do something. You come across some

00:07:38

Speaker 1: technology and suddenly the mind tells you that. Oh, no,

00:07:41

Speaker 1: don't do it right now. You know, it is too,

00:07:43

Speaker 1: it is too difficult or whatever. Right? Whenever you come

00:07:46

Speaker 1: across that situation where you know that your mind is

00:07:48

Speaker 1: telling you to be more comfortable and complacent beat it.

00:07:52

Speaker 1: And how do you do it, do it anyway when

00:07:54

Speaker 1: your mind throws a resistance

00:07:57

Speaker 1: because what will happen is

00:07:59

Speaker 1: the mind is giving you a suggestion to be more comfortable. Ok?

00:08:02

Speaker 1: At that very moment, if you tell the mind, thank

00:08:04

Speaker 1: you so much for this. But I'm gonna do it

00:08:06

Speaker 1: anyway and see what happens and you do it. What

00:08:08

Speaker 1: happens is it's gonna trick your mind and you're gonna

00:08:10

Speaker 1: be moving to a next level of uh productivity or

00:08:13

Speaker 1: action taking where the next time the mind tells you

00:08:16

Speaker 1: the same thing. You'll actually build that mental muscle of

00:08:19

Speaker 1: overcoming resistances. This entire game is just a game of resistance.

00:08:23

Speaker 1: Everybody has resistances,

00:08:25

Speaker 1: ok? Including myself. I've had different resistances at different stages

00:08:28

Speaker 1: in my business and I continue to have different resistances

00:08:30

Speaker 1: at what stage that I'm in. So it never ends.

00:08:33

Speaker 1: But the whole idea is when you can, when you

00:08:35

Speaker 1: do something anyway, in spite of the fear being there,

00:08:38

Speaker 1: whenever your mind throws a resistance, that is going to

00:08:41

Speaker 1: be your true superpower.

00:08:44

Speaker 1: And finally, number six, the best way to overcome your

00:08:46

Speaker 1: fear of technology by building a coaching business is to

00:08:49

Speaker 1: first list down all the reasons why your dreams must

00:08:53

Speaker 1: be a priority. Why do you even want to do

00:08:55

Speaker 1: this coaching business? Why do you want to build communities?

00:08:58

Speaker 1: Why do you want to really build a business online

00:09:00

Speaker 1: from the comfort of your home? Like make a list

00:09:02

Speaker 1: of at least 21 things on why your dreams must

00:09:05

Speaker 1: be a priority. Because when you intensify your, why

00:09:09

Speaker 1: all of the other challenges will become very trivial for me.

00:09:13

Speaker 1: When I got deep into understanding the reason why I

00:09:16

Speaker 1: want to do what I wanted to do, then what

00:09:18

Speaker 1: are the challenges that keep coming? My way? It only

00:09:20

Speaker 1: becomes uh you know, it's, it's only becoming a stepping

00:09:25

Speaker 1: stone to move up to the next level.

00:09:27

Speaker 1: And I continue to have challenges at different stages in

00:09:30

Speaker 1: my business. Sometimes there are product challenges, sometimes there are

00:09:32

Speaker 1: people challenges, sometimes there are community challenges. Sometimes there are,

00:09:35

Speaker 1: you know, external challenges where people are trying to come

00:09:38

Speaker 1: and just uh you know, hack into this community and

00:09:41

Speaker 1: take customers from here and all kinds of crazy things happen.

00:09:43

Speaker 1: But the beautiful thing is because you have a strong

00:09:45

Speaker 1: code of honor. We are able to find quick solutions

00:09:49

Speaker 1: to those challenges by maintaining the sanctity and beauty of

00:09:53

Speaker 1: this community, by

00:09:55

Speaker 1: bringing back the Y on the front.

00:09:58

Speaker 1: OK. You'll notice in this world there'll be two kinds

00:10:02

Speaker 1: of people

00:10:03

Speaker 1: the wolves. Like, what I'm trying to do is I'm

00:10:06

Speaker 1: basically trying to create like a pack of wolves here.

00:10:09

Speaker 1: And the wolves have a very strong code of honor.

00:10:11

Speaker 1: There's an, there's an alpha wolf. They're very protective of

00:10:13

Speaker 1: their family and their community. Yeah. And that's a very

00:10:17

Speaker 1: good mindset to keep where the wolves have always had this. If,

00:10:20

Speaker 1: even if you have watched the movie, you know, Mogli

00:10:22

Speaker 1: and stuff, you know, that Mogli was brought up in

00:10:25

Speaker 1: a wolf pack. And um there's so much of bonding

00:10:28

Speaker 1: in a wolf pack and support for each other in

00:10:30

Speaker 1: a wolf pack.

00:10:31

Speaker 1: But on the other side, you also have the jackals,

00:10:34

Speaker 1: the jackals who go and uh you know, work for

00:10:37

Speaker 1: some tiger and they come in and they, they feed

00:10:39

Speaker 1: on other, other people's success. Now you have to identify

00:10:44

Speaker 1: when situations like this happen. There are wolves and jackals

00:10:47

Speaker 1: in the entire industry, you would find different kinds of

00:10:49

Speaker 1: people and, you know, you can identify one when you

00:10:51

Speaker 1: see one based on their intent and, and the way

00:10:53

Speaker 1: that they operate as a person,

00:10:55

Speaker 1: uh that is when you got to really, you know,

00:10:57

Speaker 1: put on the guard and see how you can actually grow.

00:10:59

Speaker 1: So how is this connected to technology as you're growing

00:11:02

Speaker 1: in your business? You will also come across all different tools,

00:11:04

Speaker 1: all different hacks, all different ways of using technology, but

00:11:08

Speaker 1: who you're learning technology from also matters because once your

00:11:11

Speaker 1: dreams are made as a priority and you know, what

00:11:14

Speaker 1: is your reason why? And once your values are strong,

00:11:17

Speaker 1: then you'll be able to find mentors who are teaching technology,

00:11:20

Speaker 1: who are aligned with your values.

00:11:22

Speaker 1: OK. So don't just go to some place and learn

00:11:25

Speaker 1: something just because somebody is making more money where if

00:11:28

Speaker 1: you know that their intention is not in the right place,

00:11:30

Speaker 1: uh take that one step back and question yourself like,

00:11:32

Speaker 1: why are you even in that place? OK.

00:11:35

Speaker 1: So the whole idea of why am I sharing this

00:11:37

Speaker 1: podcast with all of you is to help you understand

00:11:39

Speaker 1: that to overcome technology, you got to drop the tags.

00:11:42

Speaker 1: You got to stop looking at the peak, you got

00:11:44

Speaker 1: to learn one tool or one skill at a time.

00:11:46

Speaker 1: You got to find an accountability partner. You got to

00:11:47

Speaker 1: be the complacent mind and intensify your why when this happens,

00:11:52

Speaker 1: everything becomes much easier for you.

00:11:54

Speaker 1: I hope you found this podcast useful. If you're not

00:11:56
