00:00:00 Speaker 1: This is an honest podcast. If you're somebody who's trying every single thing, but things are not really moving in your coaching business, I'm gonna give you a solution in this podcast. Let's get in, 00:00:14 Speaker 1: I totally get it. You might have started on this journey of training and coaching. You might have implemented a lot of things, but for some reason, things are not just moving forward, maybe you're not getting the results, you're not getting the sales, you're not really seeing the momentum in your business. You know, I can feel that situation that you may be going through right now because I was in the situation for many, many years. And I hope to take you out of that zone of being stuck 00:00:41 Speaker 1: to really getting into a state of flow. And that's the purpose of this podcast. I would like you to take notes. Ok? I wanna share with you, how do you bounce back when things are not working in your coaching business? And I wanna break it into three aspects. Ok. Now, the first thing is you got to, you know, have a realistic review, ok? The power of a realistic review is the first thing of your overall situation. Number one is review your own energy. Like is it 00:01:08 Speaker 1: something that you are really loving to do or are you just doing this business or you're growing your coaching business just for the sake of doing it? 00:01:15 Speaker 1: Second is review your strategy now, even though you might have got strategies from various different places, just go back to see if that strategy is applicable to you or not, Like in my community of people who are doing various different models of growth. And I recommend different strategies for different people based on their different topics. And some of them, I recommend a one to many model. Some of them, I recommend the 1 to 1 model. Some of them, I recommend the program model. Some of them, I recommend the a consulting based model. So go back to your 00:01:42 Speaker 1: review and see if your strategy is matching with what you're actually uh what kind of value that you're adding to the market. OK. 00:01:50 Speaker 1: The third is do a realistic review of your actions, are you really taking actions that are leading you towards your goals or are you just taking actions and going randomly all over the place? 00:02:05 Speaker 1: This is also a big challenge and a lot of people they know they get higher knowledge but they're not able to move forward because they do all other things. But the most important thing. 00:02:14 Speaker 1: And of course, number four is I would like you to have a realistic review of your revenues. You know, if your numbers are not moving in your bank bank account, then there's a serious problem. Ok. You may be getting high on knowledge, you may be getting high on attending programs, uh watching youtube videos, listening to so many different podcasts, feeling good about the information that you're gaining. But if that's not translating into revenues or results for yourself, after some time, the passion with which you started is going to start to turn into poison 00:02:43 Speaker 1: and that will start to degrade you and that's going to start to take you through a downward spiral loop. Now, the good news is you can get out of this if you are able to be aware of these three pointers. So the first pointer is just to recap is the power of a realistic review of your energy strategy, action and revenues. 00:03:04 Speaker 1: Once you map this out on a paper on a clean sheet of paper or, or an Excel sheet, once you know, OK, this is where I'm at. This is my current situation and this is where it is OK, accept the situation. And then the second step is get back to the drawing board 00:03:20 Speaker 1: and when it comes to drawing board, I'm gonna make it as simple as possible. So the first thing is you have to look at this entire game as with simplicity. Like for me, I was running a very complex business before I got into this model. In 2018, I was running a very complex business with 35 employees managing 35 to 40 clients and um a lot of moving parts in the business and challenges within the business and continuous firefighting and not much time for myself to really uh you know, 00:03:49 Speaker 1: create financial results for my personal life and my, my family. So what really worked for me was going 00:03:57 Speaker 1: to an insane level of sympathy. So what I would recommend that you do is if you're facing this challenge where things are not working is pick one problem that you want to solve, pick one market, you want to serve and create one product 00:04:14 Speaker 1: that can serve that market. That's it. One problem, one market, one product, that's it. Ok. And this is what I call as an MVP or a minimum viable product and test this minimum viable product with an organic audience. That means don't spend money on ads and don't go overboard, 00:04:30 Speaker 1: you know, don't burn out your resources until you have tested this out with at least 5, 10 people. And you know that there, there's a responsiveness in your product. You know, a lot of trainers and coaches, they just go launch something and they just, they going in a loop uh without understanding that whether their product is gonna work or not. Ok. 00:04:50 Speaker 1: And you know, the best part is those who are following my curriculum design process to the t like many of them have got phenomenal results because of bringing in the simplicity in England and those people who don't get results in spite of all of this is that they are complicating it too much or they're analyzing things too much. They are getting into paralysis, analysis, paralysis and overthinking the entire game. So the, you know, the essence of the minimum viable product is that it is not about you, 00:05:18 Speaker 1: it's not about your beliefs, it's not about, you know 00:05:22 Speaker 1: what you think is right? It is about what the market really wants. It's, it's about how you can simplify what the market wants and deliver a solution in a very, very tangible and a powerful way 00:05:37 Speaker 1: and in a simple way for them to actually get the results what they're looking for. 00:05:40 Speaker 1: So it is not about you, it's about them. And if you're getting in a loop, you got to get back to the drawing board and simplify it. Create your MVP. One problem, one market, one product test, if it works great. If it doesn't next, 00:05:57 Speaker 1: that's the formula. OK. 00:05:59 Speaker 1: And the third part I want to talk to you about is on how to bounce back when things are not working in your coaching business is 00:06:08 Speaker 1: inner congruence. 00:06:10 Speaker 1: You have to feel good about what you're doing at a very internal level, not an external and at an external level, maybe, you know, there are something that are trending. You want to jump into the bandwagon and you know, that four more may be there. But then in the long run, you have to feel comfortable, you need to feel good about what you're doing. So number one is under, in a congruence, you got to trust your intuition, you gotta trust your gut to understand whether what you're doing is really, really something that 00:06:39 Speaker 1: you can do for the rest of your life or not. 00:06:42 Speaker 1: The second thing when it comes to in congruence is you got to heal your past patterns. 00:06:47 Speaker 1: You know, these patterns repeating, maybe you've had this pattern of starting something and not taking to the finish line or you starting something going to a to a particular point and retreating. You know, maybe you have a pattern of you, 00:07:01 Speaker 1: you know, and starting something with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement and then you come to a point where it just turns into poison and then you start to, you know, blame the entire situation. You know, 00:07:11 Speaker 1: if that's a pattern, you got to go back and heal that past pattern. And how do you heal it is by first of all, identifying that the pattern exists? Ok. And then identifying the root of where that pattern is coming from. Maybe it's coming from some point in your childhood and go to that particular point in your childhood, find the brilliance of why that pattern even started heal that. And thank yourself for going through that situation many, many years ago because that situation is teaching you some lesson. And if you're able to integrate that lesson, 00:07:41 Speaker 1: just by closing your eyes going inwards and just healing it and letting it go when you just, 00:07:47 Speaker 1: you know, heal those wounds from the past, that will completely change your future. And that's pretty much the journey that I've been on for many, many years because I've also been, you know, struggling with patterns of failure many, multiple times in my life. And once I made peace with that, and once I understood the root cause then there was no stopping, there's no stopping me. That's it, you know, and now I don't take life too seriously. It's like I'm enjoying the process, I'm just going through it on every single day 00:08:14 Speaker 1: and the more I enjoy the process, the more I'm able to see the results come through, 00:08:19 Speaker 1: which leads me to the third point is you need to overcome your own rigidity. You know, I love this quote by Jeff Bezos. He says you got to be fixed on your vision, fixed on your goal, but be flexible on how you get there don't be rigid on your methods. 00:08:33 Speaker 1: And finally, when it comes to your inner congruence, you got to build skills that add value. Meaning if you are teaching something to somebody where you don't have the skills yourself, then there is no inner congruence and you're not going to get results. So if you really want to teach somebody something. You got to be pretty good at it and you got to start building those skills. You may not be like a superstar at it right now when you're starting out. But you got to be really good at, at least practicing and improving that and honing that craft to have the moral authority to teach others, especially in a coaching business. 00:09:03 Speaker 1: So this is something that I heard from Gorgo in a recent summit. And he was saying he gave a beautiful example on how do you get to the the flow state? OK. 00:09:15 Speaker 1: There are two aspects to this game, 00:09:17 Speaker 1: the skills aspect 00:09:19 Speaker 1: and how challenging this entire journey is for you. OK? Now, let's say if you're somebody who is really skillful at what you do, but the challenge is not big enough, then you're gonna get bored, meaning you're really good at your crowd. But then yeah, it's like not a big deal, you know, you're gonna get bored after some time and then you have the opposite, you know that some of you will be facing right now where the challenge is bigger 00:09:44 Speaker 1: than your skills, maybe you're not skilled up enough. And um and you're facing more and more challenges, the challenges are bigger than your skills and that leads to frustration. OK? So when the skills are bigger than your challenge that leads to boredom, when the challenge is bigger than your skills, that leads to frustration. So the magic of this game is where your skills match your challenge. 00:10:08 Speaker 1: Yeah, 00:10:09 Speaker 1: when the challenges that come your way is able to match your skills that are able to deal with those challenges. When you are able to be at this state, this is what is called the flow state. 00:10:20 Speaker 1: So how do you bounce back when things aren't working as in the coaching business is to build skills and to match your skills with the challenge that you want to, to, you know, to actually uh overcome 00:10:33 Speaker 1: and get into the flow state. So just to recap, number one is the power of a realistic review. Please do that. Number two is go to the drawing board and make it simple. One name, one problem one market, one product number three, 00:10:48 Speaker 1: reflect on the inner congruence. When these three 00:10:51 Speaker 1: are clear in your own mind, 00:10:54 Speaker 1: there's no stopping you, you're gonna be bouncing back and you're gonna be moving forward and just reiterate this point. Don't take life too seriously. Enjoy the process. 00:11:03 Speaker 1: Enjoy the process of learning, be optimistic, 00:11:07 Speaker 1: be uh wishful that you can actually make this happen and also back it up with actions 00:11:13 Speaker 1: and super focus.
