It's been over a decade since I got into the coaching and training industry. The last five years have been very good overall in terms of the maturity of this industry. In this podcast, I will share with you where I see this heading.

00:00:00
Speaker 1: It's been a decade long journey since I got to
00:00:02
Speaker 1: the training and coaching business. And in this particular podcast,
00:00:05
Speaker 1: I wanna share with you where I see it going
00:00:07
Speaker 1: in the next 10 years and where you need to
00:00:09
Speaker 1: keep yourself tuned. If you want to make it successful,
00:00:13
Speaker 1: things are changing super fast. And what I'm really happy
00:00:16
Speaker 1: about is that the training coaching industry in India has
00:00:18
Speaker 1: truly matured and evolved in the last 3 to 4 years.
00:00:21
Speaker 1: And it's just gonna get better and better over time. Now,
00:00:24
Speaker 1: when any industry grows, what you'll actually notice is that
00:00:27
Speaker 1: a lot of noise will, will start to get formed.
00:00:29
Speaker 1: Like even if you remember back in the day when
00:00:31
Speaker 1: we had these uh the mbas that were launched in
00:00:34
Speaker 1: many colleges. So all over the India, we had many
00:00:37
Speaker 1: of even the smaller colleges offering an MB A program,
00:00:40
Speaker 1: but doing an MB A in A I am compared
00:00:43
Speaker 1: to doing an MB A in a regular polytechnic kind
00:00:46
Speaker 1: of a college in a city, there's a huge difference
00:00:49
Speaker 1: in that now. Similarly, even in the training and coaching industry,
00:00:52
Speaker 1: while it is booming and it has been booming in
00:00:54
Speaker 1: the last 3 to 4 years. We've also seen a
00:00:56
Speaker 1: lot of substandard, uh, content, substandard players that have come
00:00:59
Speaker 1: in the market who just,
00:01:01
Speaker 1: you know, who getting into, make a quick buck, make
00:01:04
Speaker 1: some quick money and, uh, you know, just put some
00:01:07
Speaker 1: money into ads and start to promote whatever stuff that
00:01:10
Speaker 1: they have. So we've had one category of those kind
00:01:13
Speaker 1: of coaches who have come in, but many of them
00:01:16
Speaker 1: have fizzled out, meaning that the ones that have truly
00:01:19
Speaker 1: stood the test of time are the ones who have
00:01:20
Speaker 1: been delivering continuous and consistent value over time where they
00:01:23
Speaker 1: have worked up on themselves and they have truly got
00:01:26
Speaker 1: results for their students.
00:01:28
Speaker 1: So where I see the industry going in the next
00:01:30
Speaker 1: decade
00:01:32
Speaker 1: is that this is going to get better and better
00:01:34
Speaker 1: in terms of the market, having the maturity to choose
00:01:38
Speaker 1: who they want to work with. In other words, the
00:01:41
Speaker 1: market is smart enough just in the last 3 to
00:01:44
Speaker 1: 4 years to see through the fluff that is there
00:01:48
Speaker 1: in the market to see through the noise and to
00:01:50
Speaker 1: decide who they want to work with. Ok. And this
00:01:53
Speaker 1: regularization is going to happen eventually and it's gonna get
00:01:57
Speaker 1: better and better. And when I say better, what I
00:01:58
Speaker 1: mean is there will be people who are
00:02:01
Speaker 1: uh absolutely with not much knowledge about the training coaching industry,
00:02:05
Speaker 1: they may see some ads they may buy some products,
00:02:07
Speaker 1: they may waste some money here and there. And then
00:02:10
Speaker 1: when they actually come to the, you know, the people
00:02:14
Speaker 1: who are truly making a difference, they will start to,
00:02:18
Speaker 1: you know, gravitate towards those coaches and trainers and they'll
00:02:23
Speaker 1: start to consider those communities as their homes. In other words,
00:02:28
Speaker 1: it's more like the nomads exploring various different towns and
00:02:31
Speaker 1: villages and then they're reaching home and they want to,
00:02:33
Speaker 1: they'll start settling down in, in where they're comfortable with.
00:02:37
Speaker 1: Now, this is what's happening right now. And I'm observing
00:02:39
Speaker 1: this because I've been in this industry for over a
00:02:41
Speaker 1: decade right now. The first five years, uh I was
00:02:44
Speaker 1: actually running campaigns promoting people like Robert Kiyosaki, Tony Robbins,
00:02:49
Speaker 1: Brian Tracy and many others. And I, I was more
00:02:52
Speaker 1: like a service provider and the, the guy behind the
00:02:55
Speaker 1: campaigns or many of the successful uh you know, people
00:02:58
Speaker 1: in the personal development world including Tony Robbins, many of
00:03:00
Speaker 1: his upw events. We did the promotions in the year
00:03:02
Speaker 1: 2000
00:03:03
Speaker 1: uh 15, 16, 17, we did for three consecutive years.
00:03:06
Speaker 1: And then the last five years of my journey as
00:03:09
Speaker 1: I'm recording this podcast has been where I've, I've been
00:03:11
Speaker 1: in the trenches myself doing the work. And uh we
00:03:14
Speaker 1: have over 100 plus learners in our learning management system
00:03:18
Speaker 1: right now and been able to create uh you know,
00:03:20
Speaker 1: hundreds of six figures, success stories and stuff like that. So,
00:03:24
Speaker 1: uh what I wanted to share in the last five
00:03:27
Speaker 1: year journey for me personally, is that
00:03:29
Speaker 1: unless a coach or a trainer is in the game
00:03:32
Speaker 1: day in day out and getting continuous feedback from their
00:03:36
Speaker 1: community and continuously improving and adapting their systems, they are
00:03:40
Speaker 1: never going to be uh sustaining in the market. What
00:03:44
Speaker 1: do I mean by that is, let's say you're a
00:03:45
Speaker 1: trainer and your coach, maybe you're a business coach, you're
00:03:48
Speaker 1: a career coach, you're a health coach or a wealth
00:03:49
Speaker 1: coach or a stock market expert or a relationship coach
00:03:52
Speaker 1: or you're into arts, creative, whatever. Maybe your uh macron
00:03:55
Speaker 1: that you've actually picked.
00:03:57
Speaker 1: The key to this game is step number one is
00:04:02
Speaker 1: start building a community.
00:04:04
Speaker 1: Don't just sell products or don't just sell programs, start
00:04:07
Speaker 1: creating a community model.
00:04:10
Speaker 1: That's the first step. The second step is
00:04:13
Speaker 1: to get results for your community. Now, how do you
00:04:15
Speaker 1: get results for your community by gamifying the entire experience?
00:04:18
Speaker 1: That means having at least 3 to 4 different milestones
00:04:21
Speaker 1: that uh they need to cross to achieving a superstar award.
00:04:24
Speaker 1: And that's like how I have a one world champion award,
00:04:27
Speaker 1: 10 World Champion award. And then to achieve that, they
00:04:29
Speaker 1: need to achieve a Hall of Fame and a freedom
00:04:31
Speaker 1: finish award. So I have at least four levels of
00:04:33
Speaker 1: Gamification that people need to go through in, in this journey.
00:04:35
Speaker 1: So step one is to build the community. Step two
00:04:38
Speaker 1: is to gamify the community.
00:04:40
Speaker 1: And step three is to get feedback from the community.
00:04:43
Speaker 1: And as as your students are getting results, like in
00:04:47
Speaker 1: my case, I have uh you know, this thing called
00:04:48
Speaker 1: Hall of Fame and I have a group called the
00:04:51
Speaker 1: Hall of Fame Mastermind. OK. All the Hall of Fame
00:04:53
Speaker 1: members are there and I used to be doing Hall
00:04:55
Speaker 1: of Fame masterminds to collect ideas from the Hall of
00:04:57
Speaker 1: Fame members. And how else are they implementing the same,
00:05:00
Speaker 1: you know, things that I've given them.
00:05:02
Speaker 1: And it's not that my ideas are the best ideas.
00:05:04
Speaker 1: I get the best of the best ideas from my
00:05:05
Speaker 1: own students. And now that Hall of Fame masterman has
00:05:08
Speaker 1: evolved into a quantum mastermind where I'm working only with
00:05:11
Speaker 1: the cream uh or the top 100 of the coaches
00:05:14
Speaker 1: in our country. And as and when we do our
00:05:17
Speaker 1: monthly mastermind calls, uh not only I share my ideas
00:05:20
Speaker 1: with them, but they also share the ideas with me.
00:05:22
Speaker 1: And it's a very open structured format that I've actually created.
00:05:25
Speaker 1: And this collective consciousness and the collective ideas that I
00:05:28
Speaker 1: created is what's creating overall progress.
00:05:31
Speaker 1: So that's a step three is to tap into the
00:05:34
Speaker 1: power of the mastermind of your community. OK. So step
00:05:37
Speaker 1: one is build a community. Step two is gamify the
00:05:39
Speaker 1: community and get results for your community members. And step
00:05:41
Speaker 1: three is to get feedback from your community in terms
00:05:44
Speaker 1: of uh ways you can improve as well as new
00:05:47
Speaker 1: ways of implementation.
00:05:49
Speaker 1: So the way that I see the training and coaching
00:05:52
Speaker 1: industry evolving and growing is that those coaches and trainers
00:05:56
Speaker 1: who are able to apply this three step process that
00:05:58
Speaker 1: I just shared will be the ones who will be
00:06:00
Speaker 1: able to quickly adapt to the fast changing times and
00:06:03
Speaker 1: they'll be more relevant and more attuned to their audience
00:06:06
Speaker 1: and their audience will be more attuned to them. By
00:06:09
Speaker 1: fact of the persistence, the consistency and the continuous uh
00:06:15
Speaker 1: evolution of their own model. OK.
00:06:18
Speaker 1: So what I used to be teaching in the 2018,
00:06:20
Speaker 1: 2019 is quite drastically changed compared to what I'm teaching
00:06:24
Speaker 1: right now. And in fact, it's become simpler than ever before.
00:06:27
Speaker 1: So the number of people who are coming out in
00:06:30
Speaker 1: terms of results in our community is, is growing at
00:06:33
Speaker 1: a massively fast pace, you know, uh I don't have
00:06:36
Speaker 1: time to document my Hall of Fame interviews because there
00:06:38
Speaker 1: are at least like 50 60 people waiting now for
00:06:40
Speaker 1: me to interview and I've still not done an interview
00:06:41
Speaker 1: because I don't have time. I've become the bottleneck of this.
00:06:44
Speaker 1: So we are doing like group
00:06:45
Speaker 1: right now and I'm getting uh you know, more and
00:06:48
Speaker 1: more people to come for my live events where I'm
00:06:52
Speaker 1: felicitating them on stage and where in one shot I'm
00:06:54
Speaker 1: able to felicitate and give awards to many of them
00:06:56
Speaker 1: in one go. So those are different initiatives that I
00:06:58
Speaker 1: have done because of the effectiveness and the simplicity of
00:07:01
Speaker 1: the model that has been created.
00:07:03
Speaker 1: Now, coming back to the original point, where do I
00:07:06
Speaker 1: see this industry growing in the next, you know, 5
00:07:08
Speaker 1: to 10 years is uh number one, as I mentioned
00:07:11
Speaker 1: before is those who are
00:07:14
Speaker 1: building
00:07:15
Speaker 1: communities and innovating around that, they're the ones who are
00:07:19
Speaker 1: going to be standing the test of time. Ok. Now
00:07:22
Speaker 1: let's look at the market side of it. The students
00:07:25
Speaker 1: who are learning from various different trainers and coaches, once
00:07:28
Speaker 1: they start to taste different kinds of trainers and coaches,
00:07:31
Speaker 1: they will start to gravitate towards the trainers and coaches
00:07:35
Speaker 1: that they're able to align with value system. Ok?
00:07:38
Speaker 1: Which means that if you are a trainer or a
00:07:41
Speaker 1: coach who's only forefront your entire uh position based on
00:07:46
Speaker 1: the knowledge or information that you have, you're already going
00:07:49
Speaker 1: to lose the game. What do I mean by that
00:07:51
Speaker 1: is if, if you're only, if your US P is
00:07:54
Speaker 1: only information you can be replaced by chat GP T
00:07:57
Speaker 1: on so many other tools where people can get a
00:07:59
Speaker 1: better information than you. So it is not about the
00:08:02
Speaker 1: information that you give, but it is about
00:08:05
Speaker 1: engaging your community and having that level of transparency and
00:08:10
Speaker 1: trust with your audience by being vulnerable,
00:08:13
Speaker 1: by sharing your mistakes, by openly sharing what's working and
00:08:17
Speaker 1: what's not working for you. And by creating a,
00:08:21
Speaker 1: an environment where every person in the community feels that
00:08:25
Speaker 1: they are a part of something bigger than just that information.
00:08:29
Speaker 1: You know, one of the reasons I have a high
00:08:30
Speaker 1: stake ability in internal lifestyle hub as a community over
00:08:33
Speaker 1: the last five years is like, especially the last one
00:08:35
Speaker 1: year to two years, the people who have been coming in,
00:08:37
Speaker 1: they've been attending all of my calls. You know, the
00:08:39
Speaker 1: stick is much higher compared to my first two years
00:08:42
Speaker 1: in the game. In fact, the first two years of
00:08:44
Speaker 1: students that I,
00:08:45
Speaker 1: you know, brought into my community, uh many of them
00:08:48
Speaker 1: are not very active right now because even I was
00:08:50
Speaker 1: just starting off at that point of time. But now
00:08:52
Speaker 1: my systems are better, the process is better. The people
00:08:55
Speaker 1: are feeling more attuned to what they're looking for. Many
00:08:59
Speaker 1: of them are getting results, they feel that they are
00:09:00
Speaker 1: at home.
00:09:02
Speaker 1: So one of the reasons that's happening is uh not,
00:09:04
Speaker 1: not just because of Gamification, but uh it's because of the,
00:09:09
Speaker 1: the openhearted conversations and the collaborations that I'm creating between
00:09:12
Speaker 1: the community members and creating like a family, like bonding atmosphere.
00:09:16
Speaker 1: You know, I'm creating an environment where we have a
00:09:17
Speaker 1: strong code of honor where there is mutual respect and
00:09:21
Speaker 1: trust for each other. And uh we are not here
00:09:24
Speaker 1: to just uh
00:09:25
Speaker 1: you know, self promote each other, rather we're here to
00:09:28
Speaker 1: help and support each other. That's what is the, the
00:09:30
Speaker 1: vibe of the entire community. And this does not happen overnight.
00:09:33
Speaker 1: It takes a lot of time to build a culture
00:09:36
Speaker 1: like this. So back to the original point is that
00:09:39
Speaker 1: if you are a trainer or a coach, and if
00:09:42
Speaker 1: you are not creating cultures where people want to be
00:09:46
Speaker 1: with you, not for what you teach, it's not about information,
00:09:49
Speaker 1: but for the experience that you're able to give them
00:09:51
Speaker 1: that's going to be more sustainable than information. Because once again,
00:09:54
Speaker 1: back to that point, if you are just riding this
00:09:57
Speaker 1: entire wave purely based on your information, it's only going
00:10:01
Speaker 1: to be a matter of time where somebody else with
00:10:03
Speaker 1: better information will, will outrank you or they will, you know,
00:10:06
Speaker 1: they will attract more people towards uh towards them.
00:10:09
Speaker 1: So the ability of a knowledge business or a coaching business,
00:10:13
Speaker 1: it is not about information, it is not about the
00:10:15
Speaker 1: latest trend. It is not about what was the hottest
00:10:18
Speaker 1: thing in the market to do that. It is not
00:10:19
Speaker 1: about the latest tool. It is not about the latest tactic,
00:10:22
Speaker 1: but it is about a bigger mission and a bigger purpose.
00:10:25
Speaker 1: So when a community is built around a mission or
00:10:27
Speaker 1: a purpose, like in my case, uh our strong mission
00:10:30
Speaker 1: is to redefine our education system by creating a new
00:10:33
Speaker 1: breed of teachers and leaders and that's what we are doing.
00:10:35
Speaker 1: We are actually creating and in one sense we are
00:10:37
Speaker 1: also literally like a university for digital leaders. OK? We
00:10:41
Speaker 1: can't officially call ourselves a university because you know, we
00:10:43
Speaker 1: have to go through a formal process, but we are
00:10:45
Speaker 1: not the formal education system. We are an alternate education system.
00:10:48
Speaker 1: And we are, we are truly
00:10:50
Speaker 1: an academy for digital leaders and creating leaders of tomorrow. OK,
00:10:54
Speaker 1: who are equipped with the knowledge, the skill set, the
00:10:56
Speaker 1: mindset and the tools for them to actually move forward
00:10:59
Speaker 1: and make it happen. So what I'm here to tell
00:11:02
Speaker 1: you is that the future of this entire training coaching
00:11:04
Speaker 1: industry is going to be beyond knowledge. It's gonna be
00:11:07
Speaker 1: more around communities. It's gonna be more around Gamification and
00:11:10
Speaker 1: it's gonna be more around how you can activate them
00:11:12
Speaker 1: and um generate the best ideas from the tribe itself
00:11:18
Speaker 1: and to facilitate those kind of transformations and collaborations with
00:11:22
Speaker 1: student results being your number one focus if your results
00:11:26
Speaker 1: and your sales and your profits is on the forefront
00:11:30
Speaker 1: of your business plan.
00:11:31
Speaker 1: Uh There's only, it's only gonna be a matter of
00:11:33
Speaker 1: time where somebody else can replace you. But if your
00:11:37
Speaker 1: focus is on your student results and how many success
00:11:39
Speaker 1: stories you can create on a monthly basis and you
00:11:42
Speaker 1: can deliver that. That's gonna be the next level game.
