[00:00:00] Hey there, Future Engineers! Welcome back to Engineering Dreams, the podcast that's all about

[00:00:11] helping you succeed in your engineering journey. I'm your host Shekhar Srinivasan and today

[00:00:17] we've got a super important topic to tackle. How to not get overwhelmed by exam stress?

[00:00:25] Now I know that exams can be scary, especially when you're thousands of miles away from home in the US. But don't worry, we've got your back.

[00:00:36] So let's dive right in.

[00:00:46] Before we dive into the nitty-gritty of handling exam stress, let me share a quick story with you.

[00:00:53] When I first came to the US for my engineering studies, I was totally freaked out by exams. The system here is very different and it's easy to get overwhelmed.

[00:01:04] But guess what? I survived! And you will do! So let's jump into some practical tips to help you keep back stress in check.

[00:01:16] So let's start with tip number one. Time management. Managing your time effectively is crucial.

[00:01:26] You make a study schedule that allows you to cover all your subjects without cramming and don't forget to include breaks to recharge your brain.

[00:01:38] Tip number two. Study smart and not hard. Focus on understanding the concepts rather than road memorization. Use resources like textbooks, online lectures and study groups to make learning more enjoyable.

[00:01:56] Next up is tip number three. Stay healthy. Your physical and mental health matter.

[00:02:04] Exercise. Eat well and get enough sleep. A healthy body and mind can handle stress much better.

[00:02:14] Tip number four is something that I swear by. Practice, practice and practice. Practice with past exam papers and sample questions.

[00:02:26] Now the more you practice, the more confident you will become. Trust me, it works like magic.

[00:02:34] Tip number five. Reach out for help. If you're feeling overwhelmed, don't hesitate to seek help. Talk to your professors, academic advisors or even a counselor.

[00:02:49] It's okay to ask for help. We all need it sometimes.

[00:02:55] Remember, it's normal to feel stressed before exams. It's a part of the journey but what's important is how you deal with it.

[00:03:05] So here's a message for you. You've made it this far and that's an awesome achievement in itself. All you have to do is believe in yourself.

[00:03:17] You have the skills and the knowledge. Just keep a positive mindset, follow these tips and you'll rock those exams.

[00:03:35] Well that's a wrap for today's episode of Engineering Dreams. I hope you find these tips useful in dealing with exam stress.
