The boldest moves don’t begin in meetings—they begin in stillness. In this special episode, I share how MSME founders can use silence, reflection, and Gita-inspired contemplation to make big business decisions. You’ll learn how to access deeper clarity, break free from reactive thinking, and lead with conviction—not confusion. This episode is a meditative guide for leaders who want to grow with inner calm and strategic clarity.
[00:00:01] Namaste and Welcome to the MSME Growth Hub Podcast. Abanibhusan Bera here, your host, an AI-driven MSME Growth Strategist, Sales Coach and a student of Vedantic Wisdom.
[00:00:18] Today's episode is very close to my heart. Because in a world filled with noise, notifications and non-stop decisions, we are going to talk about something radically simple yet profoundly powerful and that is stillness in strategy.
[00:00:42] Inspired by the Bhagavad Gita, this episode is a reminder that silence is not the opposite of action, it's the source of right action. Let me start with the problem with modern decision making. Let's start by naming what many MSME founders experienced daily.
[00:01:09] Decision fatigue, overthinking, reactive strategy, advice overload, pressure to act quickly because everyone's doing something. And so we launch before we are ready. So we hire under pressure. So we say yes to wrong fit clients. So we say try to fix everything without fixing ourselves.
[00:01:39] You are not stuck because you lack ideas. You are stuck because you have lost the stillness needed to hear the right idea. This is where Gita inspired silence changes everything. Now let me delve on the Gita inside, the power of inner come before outer action.
[00:02:06] In chapter 6 verse 6, Krishna says, One who has conquered the mind and remains centered in the self, such a person is a friend of their own soul. And in chapter 2, he reminds Arjuna, The wise remain steady like a lamp in a windless place.
[00:02:32] What does this mean for us as entrepreneurs? It means your strategy begins not in spread sets but in self-awareness. The boldest decisions are not the loudest but the clearest. You cannot solve confusion with more information. You solve it with inner integration.
[00:02:59] Stillness is not a delay, it's spiritual calibration. Let's walk through a fictional but deeply relatable MSME founder journey. This founder ran a learning and development MSME offering offline workshops for corporates. After Covid, his business dried up.
[00:03:25] He tried building digital courses, failed. Tried webinars, didn't convert. Tried B2C offerings, got overwhelmed. Confused and low on funds, he felt forced to pivot again. His team suggested AI training programs.
[00:03:48] Friends said go all in on Instagram growth, consult and speech team funnel blueprints. He was about to act but paused. He remembered the Gita. He took seven days off. No content, no calls, no noise. He journaled, meditated, worked alone. Asked himself the two questions. What feels true, not trendy?
[00:04:18] What would I do if I didn't fear judgment? Out of that silence, this clarity emerged. I don't want to be an AI course creator. I want to teach organizations how to preserve human connection in an AI driven world. He built a new framework, human-centered AI enablement.
[00:04:46] Positioned it as a corporate culture building offering. Six months later, he was back to 10 lakhs per month. He onboarded three long-term enterprise clients. And most importantly, he felt aligned again. Silence didn't slow him down. It became the soil for his second act.
[00:05:15] Now let's understand what silence actually offers us as Mishimi leaders. First, clarity without comparison. In silence, you stop asking, What are others doing? And start asking, What is mine to do? Second, reconnection with your dharma. Silence reminds you why you started in the first place.
[00:05:42] Before the clients, the chaos or the content. Second, you stop making moves out of panic. You start sensing what needs to emerge organically. Number four, strengthening intuition. You begin to feel which client, hire or market is energetically wrong before a mistake is made.
[00:06:11] Number five, restoring leadership energy. Silence is in emptiness. It is energetic repair. When your nervous system is calm, you act without reaction. Let me now give you a simple stillness to strategy ritual that you can begin today. Daily practice 20-30 minutes.
[00:06:39] First is morning silence for 10 minutes. Sit in silence after walking. No phone, just awareness. Journaling prompt 10 minutes. What is unclear in my business right now? What am I forcing that needs to be felt instead? What is trying to emerge? Clarity action 5-10 minutes. Write one insight, one action, one truth.
[00:07:09] Next is weekly practice. One hour on Sundays. Block a 60-minute stillness review hour. Reflect on the work. Ask what worked, what drained you, what inspired you. Don't plan, just observe. This becomes your strategy composed where ideas match you. Quarterly practice. Quarterly practice. One day reset. Once every 90 days, switch off.
[00:07:39] Step back. Go solo. No talking. No scrolling. Just peace. You will be amazed how much wisdom your inner voice already holds. Silence is your highest consultant. You just have not given it a seat at the table yet.
[00:08:05] Let's bring this episode and this season to a close. Stillness is not a luxury. It's your leadership responsibility. Silence leads to strategy that is aligned, authentic and amplified. Remember the 3 A. Aligned, authentic and amplified. You don't need more noise. You need inner signal.
