Vishal Dixit is a climate scientist working as an Assistant Professor at the Interdisciplinary Program in Climate Studies at IIT Bombay. He works on different aspects of tropical climate change with a special fascination for Monsoon Dynamics. The interview is divided into six audio parts. The entire interview can be seen on my Youtube channel. This is the sixth and the last part of the interview. In this episode, we discussed how sophisticated the knowledge of climate/ climate change in ancient India was. However, he acknowledged that there is a need for a revised Panchaang with a combination of machine learning which will ensure a better sowing/climate calendar in the changing world.
