[00:00:00] In the previous episode we talked about the negative call for actions that are negative emotions,

[00:00:06] what message they convey and what we need in order to release them.

[00:00:10] In today's episode I am gonna plant 10 emotions which are the opposite of those negative emotions.

[00:00:15] So if you haven't listened to the previous episode I will recommend you to go back, listen to it then come here again.

[00:00:22] So for those who don't know me, Hi, I am Rabjot Singh an Automobile Engineer by profession and owner of Singh Automotive Academy

[00:00:29] and I am on a mission to help people live a life of emotional and financial freedom.

[00:00:34] And this podcast is one of my ways to do it.

[00:00:36] This is episode 14 of 75 episodes challenge in which I am building a community of 1000 emotional and financially free individuals.

[00:00:45] So let's get into it. Let's explore the 10 emotional seeds you can plant in your garden

[00:00:50] and realize that each of these emotions represent an antidote to any of the negative emotions you may have been feeling previously.

[00:00:58] Let's start with the first emotion for today which is love and warmth.

[00:01:02] The consistent expression of love seems to be able to melt almost any negative emotion it comes in contact with.

[00:01:10] If someone is angry with you, you can easily remain loving with them by adopting a core belief

[00:01:18] which is a communication is either a loving response or a cry for help.

[00:01:23] If someone comes to you in a state of anger and you consistently respond to them with love and warmth,

[00:01:30] eventually their state will change and their intensity will melt away.

[00:01:35] There's a beautiful quote by Emmett Fox which goes by if you could love enough, you could be the most powerful person in the world.

[00:01:43] The second emotion for today is appreciation and gratitude.

[00:01:48] I believe that all of the most powerful emotions are some expression of love, each directed in different ways.

[00:01:55] For me, appreciation and gratitude are two of the most spiritual emotions actively expressing through thought and action.

[00:02:04] My appreciation and love for the gifts that life has given me and people has given me and the experiences have given me.

[00:02:12] Living in this emotional state will enhance your life more than almost anything I know of.

[00:02:18] Cultivating this is cultivating life. Live with an attitude of gratitude.

[00:02:23] The third emotion for today is curiosity.

[00:02:26] If you really want to grow in life, learn to be as curious as a child.

[00:02:30] Children know how to wonder. That's why they are so endearing.

[00:02:35] If you want to cook your boredom, be curious. If you are curious, nothing is assured.

[00:02:41] It's automatically you want to study in life.

[00:02:44] Cultivate curiosity and life becomes an unending study of joy.

[00:02:50] The fourth emotion for today is excitement and passion.

[00:02:53] Excitement and passion can add juice to anything.

[00:02:57] Passion can turn any challenge into tremendous opportunity.

[00:03:01] Passion is unbridled power to move our lives forward at a faster tempo than ever before.

[00:03:09] To paraphrase Benjamin De Zreilly, man is only truly great when he acts from his passions.

[00:03:16] And how do we get passion?

[00:03:18] The same way we get love, warmth, appreciation, gratefulness and curiosity.

[00:03:24] We decide to feel it.

[00:03:26] Use your physiology. Speak more rapidly. Visualize more rapidly.

[00:03:32] Move your body in the direction you want to go.

[00:03:35] Don't just casually sit and think that you can't be filled with passion.

[00:03:40] If you are slumping over, over your desk and breathing shallowly or slurring your speech,

[00:03:46] you will not be able to develop passion.

[00:03:49] The fifth emotion is determination.

[00:03:52] All of the above emotions are invaluable.

[00:03:55] But there is one that you must have if you are going to create a lasting value.

[00:04:01] In this world, it will dictate how you deal with upsets and challenges with disappointment and disillusionment.

[00:04:09] Determination means the difference between being stuck and being struck with the lightning power of commitment.

[00:04:16] If you want to get yourself to lose weight, make those business calls.

[00:04:21] Go to the gym. Follow through anything.

[00:04:24] Pushing yourself won't do it.

[00:04:26] But putting yourself in a state of determination, acting with determination means making a congruent,

[00:04:32] commented decision where you have cut off any other possibility.

[00:04:37] Anthony Robbins, who is my favorite author and my mentor,

[00:04:41] he said, Determination is the wake-up call to the human will.

[00:04:45] With determination, you can accomplish anything.

[00:04:48] Without it, you are doomed to frustration and disappointment or willingness to do whatever it takes to act in spite of fear is the basis of courage.

[00:04:57] And courage is the foundation from which determination is born.

[00:05:02] The difference between feeling accomplishment or feeling desperation is the cultivation of the emotional muscle of determination.

[00:05:10] With all the determination at your command, though, be sure you can also break your own pattern and change your approach.

[00:05:17] Why smash through a wall if you can just look a little bit left and find a door sometimes?

[00:05:22] Determination can be a limitation.

[00:05:24] We need to cultivate flexibility, which is our next emotion and our sixth emotion for today.

[00:05:31] There is any seed to plant that will guarantee success.

[00:05:35] It's the ability to change your approach.

[00:05:38] In fact, all those action signals, those things you used to call as negative emotions are just messages to be more flexible.

[00:05:46] Choosing to be flexible is choosing to be happy.

[00:05:49] Throughout your life, there will be times where there are things you will not be able to control and your ability to be flexible will help you in those situations.

[00:06:00] The meaning is you attach to things and your actions will determine your long term success and failure, not to mention your personal level of joy also.

[00:06:12] So don't get attached to a personal approach to do things.

[00:06:16] Be attached to your final output, your final decision, but don't be attached to the fixed approach you are going to take because approach can change, but your decision should not change.

[00:06:26] The reed that bends will survive the windstorm while the mighty oak tree will crack.

[00:06:32] If you cultivate all the above emotions, you'll surely develop confidence, which is really important and the seventh emotion.

[00:06:40] Unshakeable confidence is the sense of certainty we all want.

[00:06:45] The only way you can consistently experience confidence even in environment and situations you have never previously encountered is through the power of faith.

[00:06:55] Imagine and feel certain about the emotions you deserve to have.

[00:07:00] Now rather than wait for them to spontaneously appear someday in the far distant future, act now, feel confident now.

[00:07:09] When you are confident, you are willing to experiment to put yourself on the line.

[00:07:14] One way to develop faith and confidence is simply practice it, using it as if I were to ask whether you are confident that you can tie your shoes or not.

[00:07:25] And with utter confidence, you're going to tell me yes, this is because you have done it thousands of times.

[00:07:31] So confidence by using it consistently and you'll be amazed at the dividends it drives in every area of your life, whether it be your finance, career, relationships or that's it no?

[00:07:44] Yeah. In order to get yourself to do it's imperative to exercise confidence rather than fear.

[00:07:52] The tragedy of many people's life is that they avoid doing things because they are afraid.

[00:07:59] They feel bad about things in advance.

[00:08:01] But remember the source of success for outstanding achievers often finds its origin in a set of nurtured beliefs for which that individual has no references to.

[00:08:13] The ability to act on faith is what moves the human race forward.

[00:08:19] Another emotion you'll automatically experience once you have succeeded in cultivating all of the above emotions is cheerfulness.

[00:08:27] And yeah, this emotion is something I'm telling my friend recently to have and she's like every single time my life sucks.

[00:08:36] And yeah, every single time.

[00:08:39] Anyways, where were we?

[00:08:41] When I added cheerfulness to my list of most important values, people told me often that I look happy.

[00:08:48] I seem energetic.

[00:08:50] I realized that I had been happy, but I hadn't told my face about it.

[00:08:54] And this is the big difference between being happy on the inside and being outwardly cheerful makes all the vast impact.

[00:09:02] Cheerfulness enhances self-esteem, makes life more fun and makes people around you feel happier as well.

[00:09:11] Cheerfulness has the power to eliminate the feeling of fear, hurt, anger, frustration, disappointment, depression, guilt and inadequacy from your life.

[00:09:22] You have achieved cheerfulness the day you will realize that no matter what's happening around you,

[00:09:29] being anything other than cheerful will not make it better.

[00:09:33] Cheerfulness does not mean to look at the world with rose colored glasses and refuse to acknowledge the challenges.

[00:09:40] Being cheerful means you are incredibly intelligent because you know that if you live life in a state of pleasure,

[00:09:48] one that's so intense that you transmit a sense of joy to those around you,

[00:09:54] you can have the impact to meet virtually any challenge that comes your way.

[00:09:59] Cultivate cheerfulness and you won't need so many of those painful emotions to get to pay attention to them.

[00:10:07] Make it easy for you to feel cheerful by planting this seed of vitality, which is the ninth emotion.

[00:10:15] Handling this area is critical.

[00:10:18] If you don't take care of your physical body, it's more difficult to be able to enjoy these emotions.

[00:10:24] Make sure that physical vitality is available.

[00:10:28] Remember that all the emotions are directed through your body.

[00:10:31] If you are feeling out of sorts emotionally, you need to look at the basics.

[00:10:36] How are you breathing? When people are stressed, they stop breathing.

[00:10:41] Their regular breathing is not so regular anymore.

[00:10:46] So, to change your emotional state, you need to change your physical state as well.

[00:10:51] I remember my mother always used to tell me that if you're feeling sad, smile, laugh.

[00:10:57] And I said, I can't do that because I'm feeling sad and that's the point of feeling sad is I have to cry.

[00:11:03] And my mother said, no, you're not supposed to cry.

[00:11:06] If you change your physical appearance, if you change your physical state, your emotional state will automatically change

[00:11:13] because you are giving a signal to your mind that, yeah, it is not wrong.

[00:11:19] Everything is right. Everything is going according to the plan.

[00:11:22] So the physical vitality is ensuring that you have an abundant level of nerve energy.

[00:11:28] Now, how do you do this?

[00:11:29] Realize that you should get a proper amount of sleep, proper amount of rest.

[00:11:34] If you are very irregular with your sleep schedule, I will recommend you to sleep properly.

[00:11:40] Have a timetable and you'll be fine.

[00:11:43] It's just about having physical energy.

[00:11:46] And this creates an emotional sense of vitality that can help you to deal with virtually any negative challenge you could have in your life.

[00:11:55] So realize that a sense of vitality is a critical emotion to cultivate in order to handle virtually any emotions that come up in your life.

[00:12:04] Not to mention the critical resource is experiencing consistent passion.

[00:12:10] Once your garden is filled with these powerful emotions, then you can share your bounty through contribution, which is the final emotion for today.

[00:12:21] Years ago or two years ago, I remember being in one of the toughest times in my life and I was sitting in a balcony of my hostel.

[00:12:31] Probably it was heavily raining that time and I kept on asking myself, what do I need to do in order to turn my life around?

[00:12:40] Suddenly I was compelled to go back to my room and pick up a pen and paper and write down the key phrase.

[00:12:46] That is, the secret to life is giving.

[00:12:49] There is no richer emotion I know in life than the sense that who you are as a person,

[00:12:55] something you have said or done has added value more than just to your own life that somehow it has enhanced life experiences.

[00:13:06] The stories that move me most profoundly are about the people who follow the highest spiritual emotion of caring unconditionally and acting for others benefit.

[00:13:18] Don't fall into the trap though of trying to contribute to others at your own expense.

[00:13:24] Playing the martyr won't give you a sense of contribution, but if you can't consistently give yourself and others a measurable scale that allows you to know that your life has mattered,

[00:13:37] you will always feel incomplete.

[00:13:39] You'll have a sense of connection with people and sense of pride and self-esteem that no amount of money, accomplishments, fame and acknowledgement can give.

[00:13:51] The sense of contribution makes all of our life worthwhile.

[00:13:55] Imagine what a better world it would be if all of us cultivated a sense of contribution.

[00:14:01] So now we have talked about contribution, let us take a step to share this episode to every single person and they can also cultivate these beautiful emotions in their mind.

[00:14:13] They can be emotionally free, use these emotions daily and watch your life grow with vitality that you have never dreamed of before.

[00:14:22] I cannot emphasize strongly enough the importance of learning how to use negative emotions for what they really are, a call to action and committing to cultivate these positive emotions.

[00:14:34] Ok, let's do an assignment now.

[00:14:36] Because without an assignment I just gave you a theory part and I don't like theory. I am personally more of a practical person.

[00:14:43] Ok, let's do. Over the next two days, anytime you feel a disempowering or a negative emotion, follow the steps of emotional mastery.

[00:14:53] Identify what category it belongs in and recognize its values in giving you the message that you need.

[00:15:01] And if you don't know the six steps to emotional mastery, there is an episode for that also.

[00:15:05] Go back and check the list of episodes, there will be an emotional mastery episode over there.

[00:15:10] Get confident, get certain and get excited.

[00:15:13] Second is, action signal serves an important function in our life.

[00:15:16] But if you don't want to feel them as often, develop global beliefs that help you minimize your experience of negative emotions.

[00:15:24] Now how to develop global beliefs? There is an episode for that too. Please go and check it out.

[00:15:29] Remember, every feeling that you have, good or bad, is based on your interpretation of what things mean.

[00:15:37] Whenever you start to feel bad, ask yourself this question, what else could it mean?

[00:15:43] This is the first step forward to taking control of your emotions.

[00:15:47] And thank you. Thank you for being along. Thank you for hearing me till now.

[00:15:52] And I cannot thank you enough for your support on this podcast.

[00:15:55] Please keep following and listening to my episodes.

[00:15:58] And I cannot say that I have reached the pinnacle of these things and I've learned all these things, I've mastered all these things.

[00:16:05] No, I'm still work in progress. But what I choose to do is important.

[00:16:09] I'm applying all of these in my life first, then I'm teaching you all.

[00:16:13] And I want to make a difference. I want to make more emotionally and financially free people in the world.

[00:16:18] So thank you. Thanks again. And thank you again.

[00:16:22] This is Rabjot Singh, your host. Take care and keep being awesome.

[00:16:26] Damn! I'm really happy these days. Anyways.
