[00:01:26] Top wrestlers Vinesh Fogart and Bajrang Pune on Friday joined the Congress in the run-up

[00:01:30] to the Harian Assembly elections on October 5.

[00:01:33] The development comes two days after, the grapplers met Congress leader Rahul Ganti in New Delhi

[00:01:38] and few else speculation about them entering the poll fray.

[00:01:41] It is expected that Fogart will contest the election from Jullana.

[00:01:45] The seat held by Jain-e-Janta parties emerged thanda while Pune is set for the Badali

[00:01:49] Constituency, the Congress seat where the state BJP has fielded former State

[00:01:53] unit President Om Prakash Thankar.

[00:01:55] Both Pune and Fogart, along with the wrestler Sakshi Mallik, were the prominent faces who

[00:02:00] protested against British Potion Shahran Singh, ex-BJP MP and then Chief of the Wrestling

[00:02:05] Federation of India, who they accused of sexually harassing young wrestlers.

[00:02:09] Enforcement Directorate officers on Friday conducted simultaneous search operations

[00:02:14] at the residences of Sandeep Kosh, the ex-principal of the state and Arjagar Medical College

[00:02:19] and Hospital and three officers associated in connection with alleged financial

[00:02:23] regularities at the institute and officer said.

[00:02:26] The raids were carried out at Kosh's residence in Belayakhatta and two locations in

[00:02:30] Dhaura and Shlupaskaram.

[00:02:32] All the four are all-day in CBI custody.

[00:02:35] The ED has filed an enforcement case information report against Kosh, which is analogous

[00:02:40] to a first information report in criminal cases.

[00:02:43] On August 23, the Kolkata High Court ordered the transfer of the investigation into

[00:02:48] the alleged financial regularities at state and hospital from a state-constituted special

[00:02:52] investigation team to the CBI.

[00:02:54] Kosh was principal from February 2021 to September 2023.

[00:02:59] He was briefly transferred in October 2023 but was reinstated within a month.

[00:03:03] He was suspended again after a 31-year-old female doctor was found dead in the hospital

[00:03:08] seminar hall.

[00:03:09] China will no longer set children overseas for adoption.

[00:03:13] The government set overturning a more than three-decade rule that was rooted

[00:03:16] in its one-strick, one-child policy.

[00:03:19] More than 160,000 Chinese children have been adopted by families across the world since

[00:03:23] 1992 when China first opened its doors to international adoption.

[00:03:28] Around 82,000 of these children, mostly girls, have been adopted in the United States,

[00:03:33] according to China's Children International.

[00:03:36] On Thursday, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Wening said,

[00:03:40] The Chinese government had adjusted its cross-border adoption policy to be in line

[00:03:43] with international trends.

[00:03:45] A fire raged through the dormitory of a boarding school for young children in Central

[00:03:50] Kenya in the early hours of Friday, killing 17 boys sleeping there, police said.

[00:03:55] Citizen television said the fire had burned the victims beyond recognition.

[00:03:59] Its footage from the scene shows collapsed iron sheet roofing and charred metal storage

[00:04:03] boxes on top of double-decker beds in the dormitory.

[00:04:07] A government spokesperson said the boys were in grades 4 to 8, putting their ages

[00:04:11] at about 9 to 13 years old.

[00:04:13] He said in a statement, the dormitory housed 156 students.

[00:04:18] The opposition Congress in Kerala on Friday took out a protest march to

[00:04:21] Secretary demanding resignation of Chief Minister Pindra Vijayan

[00:04:25] in connection with allegations levelled by L.D.F.MLA P.V. Anwaragans,

[00:04:29] some top IPS officers in the state.

[00:04:31] Hundreds of Congress members, workers and supporters, led by K.P.C.'s Chief

[00:04:36] K. Sudhagaran, leader of opposition assembly, V.D. Satishan

[00:04:39] and ASC General Secretary in charge Kerala D.B. Dasmunchi,

[00:04:44] Marshal Secretary holding a party flag.

[00:04:46] As the protesters reached the secretariat, they shouted slogans against

[00:04:50] the ruling left government and CM and demanded Vijayan's resignation.

[00:04:54] Sudhagaran alleged that the state was in dire straits,

[00:04:57] under the Pindra Vijayan-led government for the past eight years.
