[00:01:25] set three weeks into a ground operation in the southern Gaza city that has sparked global

[00:01:30] The Israeli military said its forces continue to operate in the Raffa area without commenting

[00:01:35] on reported advancements into the city centre.

[00:01:38] Overnight, its forces pounded the city with air strikes and tank fire, residents

[00:01:42] said, pressing its offensive despite an international outcry over an attack on Sunday that

[00:01:47] sparked a blaze in a tent camp.

[00:01:49] The attack resulted in the death of at least 45 Palestinians, with more than half of them

[00:01:53] being children, women and the elderly.

[00:01:58] Torrential rains brought by cyclone Ramal caused a collapse in a stone quarry in Misuram,

[00:02:03] killing 15 people and trapping seven, while eight more died in the landslides and

[00:02:07] other accidents elsewhere in the remote region, officials said.

[00:02:10] Weather authorities said the powerful cyclone had weakened into a depression after devastating

[00:02:15] regional coastlines the previous day while it killed at least 16 and cut power to

[00:02:19] millions in parts of eastern India and neighbouring Bangladesh.

[00:02:24] Harsh weather was hampering efforts on Tuesday to rescue at least seven people trapped

[00:02:28] in the quarry on the outskirts of Icewall, the capital of northeastern Misuram, the

[00:02:32] disaster management officials said.

[00:02:37] The Gujarat police have arrested one more partner of the Rajkot-based TRP Gamesone

[00:02:41] where a devastating fire last week killed 27 persons, an official said on Tuesday.

[00:02:46] Dhaval Thakkar, the proprietor of Dhaval Corporation, which ran the TRP Gamesone

[00:02:51] along with five partners of Raceway Enterprises, was arrested from Rajasthan.

[00:02:55] With this, four persons have so far been arrested in connection with the fire incident

[00:02:59] at the Gamesone on Saturday.

[00:03:01] The police had earlier arrested Yuvraj Singh Solanki and Rahul Rathod, partners

[00:03:06] in the Raceway Enterprises and Gamesone manager Nitin Jain.

[00:03:10] They were on Monday sent to a 14-day police custody by court in Rajkot.

[00:03:17] Bihar police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested the prime accused in the brutal

[00:03:21] murder of a final year undergraduate student of BN College on the Law College campus

[00:03:26] of Patna University.

[00:03:28] The arrested accused have been identified as Chandan Kumar, a final year

[00:03:32] student of Patna College.

[00:03:33] Police claimed that Kumar who was residing in Jackson Hotel of Patna College

[00:03:38] hatched the conspiracy to kill Harsh Raj, a student of BN College.

[00:03:42] Harsh Raj, a final year undergraduate student, was beaten to death by some

[00:03:46] unidentified persons on the Law College campus of Patna University on Monday.

[00:03:53] After a brief lull, incessant rains accompanied by gusty winds pounded several parts of Kerala

[00:03:58] on Tuesday, disrupting normal life.

[00:04:01] South and central districts like Tiruvanthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam and Arunakulam

[00:04:05] mainly bore the brunt of the continuous downpour which caused water logging,

[00:04:09] damage to houses, uprooting of trees, overflow of tiny water bodies,

[00:04:12] cutting across towns and villages.

[00:04:15] With the rain getting intense, the Indian Meteorological Department placed

[00:04:18] Kottayam and Arunakulam districts under red alert today.

[00:04:21] An orange alert was sounded in Patanam, Thetta, Alapuzha and Idduki, while Tiruvanthapuram,

[00:04:26] Kollam, Trishur, Palakkad, Malapuram and Kodikode were placed under a yellow alert

[00:04:30] as per the latest IMD update.

[00:04:32] Experts said cloudbursts could be the reason for the heavy rainfall that pounded

[00:04:36] various parts of Kochi, especially the Kalamassery region where flood water

[00:04:39] entered hundreds of houses.
