[00:01:56] The court however made it clear that it is not letting them off the hook yet.
[00:02:01] The apex court is hearing a plea filed in 2022 by the Indian Medical Association
[00:02:04] alleging a smear campaign against the COVID vaccination drive and modern systems of medicine.
[00:02:10] Ramdev and Bal Krishna had earlier tendered an unconditional and unqualified apology
[00:02:13] before the top court over advertisements issued by the firm, making tall claims
[00:02:17] about the medicinal efficacy of its products.
[00:02:21] While hearing the matter on April 10th, the court had refused to accept the
[00:02:24] Rafi'Ravids' Tendering Unconditional Apology and came down hard on the Uttarakhand State
[00:02:28] Licensing Authority for its inaction on the misleading advertisements issue.
[00:02:35] Aditya Srivastava topped the prestigious civil services examination in 2023
[00:02:40] with Animesh Pradhan and Donudu Ananya Reddy getting the second and third ranks respectively,
[00:02:45] the Union Public Service Commission announced on Tuesday.
[00:02:48] Srivastava qualified the examination with electrical engineering as his optional subject.
[00:02:53] The fourth rank was backed by Malayali PK Siddharth Ramkumar, a bachelor of architecture from
[00:02:58] College of Architecture in Trivandrum. Siddharth secured fourth rank with anthropology as his
[00:03:02] optional subject. A total of 1,016 candidates comprising 664 men and 352 women have qualified
[00:03:10] the examination and have been recommended by the Commission for Deployment to various services.
[00:03:14] The top 25 candidates comprise 10 women and 15 men. The civil services examination is conducted
[00:03:20] annually in three stages, preliminary, main and interview, where the UPSC deselect officers of
[00:03:25] the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service and Indian Police Service, among other services.
[00:03:34] The Mumbai Police's Crime Branch on Tuesday submitted to a local court that the two
[00:03:38] arrested accused opened fire outside Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan's house in an attempt to
[00:03:42] kill him. The accused, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, both residents of Bihar were on the run after
[00:03:48] the firing incident outside Khan's house at the Galaxy apartment in Bandra area early Sunday morning.
[00:03:54] They were apprehended late Monday night from Mata No Mud Village in Gujarat's Kutch district
[00:03:58] and later brought to Mumbai. As per the police, Gupta was riding the motorcycle at the time
[00:04:03] of the incident and Pal, who was riding pillion, had fired shots at the actor's house.
[00:04:07] The duo was produced on Tuesday before a magistrate's court.
[00:04:10] The police sought their custody for 14 days on the ground that custodial interrogation was
[00:04:14] required to unearth the conspiracy and to identify the mastermind behind the incident.
[00:04:19] The police said that after the incident, a person claimed responsibility for it on social media
[00:04:23] platform Facebook. As per the probe, this account was being operated from a foreign country,
[00:04:28] the police said. A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the LDF government in
[00:04:36] Kerala over various issues, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayanan Tuesday countered all
[00:04:39] the charges and urged him to do a self-introspection about the development index of the BJP ruled Uttar
[00:04:44] Pradesh. He further said by levelling intense allegations about Kerala, the PM should look
[00:04:49] into the accolades the state had been bestowed upon by the union government led by him.
[00:04:54] To substantiate his point, the CM listed a handful of national rankings ranging from the
[00:04:58] Niti-Iyog sustainable development index to health and poverty indexes in which the
[00:05:03] state ranked top. Pinarayi said even amid the political witch hunt, the center has been
[00:05:08] forced to recognize the state as it stands too high to be ignored. He accused Modi and
[00:05:13] BJP of adopting a hypocritical approach towards the state, the same as they did in their recently
[00:05:18] released election manifesto. During the press conference, Pinarayi also alleged that the
[00:05:22] BJP's election manifesto smacked of communal agenda. The Saffron party does not have the
[00:05:27] courage to press in the progress report of its 10-year rule and face the people during
[00:05:31] the polls he charged. The masses veteran said the objective of the upcoming looks
[00:05:36] about polls is not only to ensure the defeat of the Sangh Parivar forces but also to safeguard
[00:05:40] India's sovereign, egalitarian, secular and democratic nature.
[00:05:47] Renaud Karnatik musician K.G. Jain passed away at his home in Tripunet around Tuesday.
[00:05:51] He was 89. He was undergoing treatment for various ailments. Recognized for his soulful
[00:05:57] devotional melodies, Jain's musical legacy spans over 1000 compositions. He was the
[00:06:02] music director for many Tamil and Malayalam films. He was also awarded the Padmasri. His younger son
