[00:00:32] US President-elect Donald Trump said there would be hell to pay in the Middle East if hostages held in the Gaza Strip were not released prior to his January 20 inauguration.

[00:00:43] Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced a relief of Rs. 2000 each to the families of Villapuram, Kudalur and Kallakurichi districts which bore the brunt of damage caused by Cyclone Fangel.

[00:01:20] Almost the entire opposition in the Lok Sabha, including leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi, walked out briefly from the House on Tuesday over the recent violence in Uttar Pradesh's sampal.

[00:01:29] As soon as the House assembled to take up the question hour, Samajwadi Party President Akhle Shiyadav stood up and raised the issue, seeking Speaker Om Berla's permission to speak on the subject.

[00:01:38] The Speaker said members could raise the issue in the zero hour, prompting Yadav and his party colleagues to start walking out in protest.

[00:01:45] Akhle Shiyadav said the violence in sampal was part of a well-planned conspiracy and that the talk of Khudai across the country by the BJP and its associates will end up hurting communal amity.

[00:01:54] The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister squarely blamed the local police and administration for the recent violence in sampal.

[00:02:00] He alleged that police personnel fired from official and personal weapons, killing five innocent people and injuring dozens after some locals pelted stones at them to protest their high-handedness.

[00:02:10] The MP from Kanauch demanded the suspension of guilty officials and registration of a murder case against them to ensure that there is no such violation of the constitution again.

[00:02:20] US President-elect Donald Trump said on Monday there would be health to pay in the Middle East if hostages held in the Gaza Strip were not released prior to his January 20 inauguration.

[00:02:29] During their deadly 2023 attack on Israel, Hamas-led militants captured more than 250 people, according to Israeli tallies, including dual Israeli-American nationals.

[00:02:39] Around half of the 101 foreign and Israeli hostages still held in Communicado in Gaza are believed to be alive.

[00:02:45] Making his most explicit comments on the fate of the hostages since his election in Nomba, Trump said on social media,

[00:02:51] those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied history of the United States of America.

[00:02:58] Hamas has called for an end to the war and total Israeli withdrawal from Gaza as part of any deal to release remaining hostages.

[00:03:04] Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said the war will go on until Hamas is eradicated and poses no more threat to Israel.

[00:03:12] The families in Vildupuram, Kudalur and Kallakurji districts which bore the brunt of damage caused by Cyclone Fangel would be provided a relief of Rs. 2000 each,

[00:03:21] Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin announced on Tuesday.

[00:03:24] These districts witnessed unprecedented rain for more than two days.

[00:03:28] The CM decided to extend relief assistance to the rain hit people in Vildupuram, Kallakurji, Thiravan Namalai, Kudalur, Dharmapuri and Krishnagari districts

[00:03:35] and extend Rs. 5 lakh as compensation each to the families who lost their kin due to the cyclone or floods.

[00:03:42] With a view to ensure a nationwide compliance of the sexual harassment of women at workplace prevention,

[00:03:47] prohibition and redress Act 2013, the Supreme Court on Tuesday deducted all states and union territories to constitute an internal complaints committee in all government departments and undertakings.

[00:03:57] Issuing a slew of directions, a bench of Justices B. V. Nagarathna and N. Kutishwar Singh said that the POSH Act must be uniformly implemented across the country.

[00:04:06] The top court therefore deducted the states and union territories to appoint an officer in each district by December 31, 2024,

[00:04:13] who would constitute a local complaints committee by January 31, 2025 and appoint nodal officers at taluk levels.

[00:04:20] The Apex Court deducted the deputy commissioners or district magistrates to survey the public and private organizations for ICC compliance under Section 26 of the POSH Act and submit reports.

[00:04:30] They would engage with private sector stakeholders to ensure ICC constitution and adherence to statutory provisions, it said.

[00:04:37] The bench granted time till March 31, 2025 for the compliance of its dedictions and directed chief secretaries to oversee the execution.

[00:04:45] A night out turned into tragedy for five medical students of Alapura who were killed in an accident, leaving their families and friends grief-stricken.

[00:04:53] The first-year MBBA students of Vandana Government Medical College in Alapura were killed after the rented car they were travelling

[00:04:58] and collided with the KSRTC bus on Monday night, leaving six seriously injured.

[00:05:03] The deceased have been identified as Muhammad Abdul Jabbar from Karnoor, Muhammad Ibrahim from Lakshudeep,

[00:05:09] Devanantin from Malapuram, Ayesha Ji from Alapura and Sridheep from Palakad.

[00:05:13] In the CCTV visuals, the speeding car could be seen skidding and colliding with the passenger bus

[00:05:18] and getting crushed beneath it on the rainy night.
