Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday criticized the Prime Minister and Home Minister for making a midnight decision to appoint the new Chief Election Commissioner, calling it disrespectful and discourteous, especially when this election process is being challenged in the Supreme Court.
[00:00:34] The government announced the appointment of Yanesh Kumar as the new CEC late on Monday, just hours after a meeting of the Prime Minister at Selection Committee. During the meeting, the leader of a position in the Lok Sabha urged the government to postpone the decision, considering the Supreme Court is set to hear the matter soon. Gandhi presented a decent note to the panel, which included Home Minister Amit Shah as a member.
[00:00:57] The Supreme Court on Tuesday berated YouTuber Ranveer Alhabadiya, popularly known as Bear Biceps for his alleged derogatory comments, saying they exhibited the perversion in his mind. However, the Apex Court granted interim protection from arrest to Ranveer in the FIS registered at Mumbai, Goatee and Jaipur, for the offence of obscenity over his remarks during an episode of the India's Got Latin show.

Koti Shwar Singh passed an interim order while issuing notices to the Centre, Maharashtra and Assam regarding the writ petition filed by Alhabadiya against multiple FIS. The court also ruled that no further FIS should be registered in connection with the episode. However, judges mince no words in condemning Alhabadiya for the language he used, describing it as dirty and perverted. Tesla has started hiring in India, indicating its plans to enter the market soon.
[00:01:48] This move comes shortly after CEO Elon Musk met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the US. The electric vehicle giant has posted job listings for 13 positions on its LinkedIn page.
