[00:00:19] The Supreme Court directed the Manipur government to submit a detailed seal cover report on the number of properties that were fully or partially burned, looted or encroached upon during the ongoing ethnic violence in the state.

[00:00:31] The report should also provide information about the owners and current occupants of these properties along with the details of any legal actions taken against trespassers, Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna said.

[00:00:42] Over 200 people have been killed and thousands displaced since ethnic violence first broke out in the state on May 3, 2023, when a tribal solidarity march was organised to protest against the majority made the community's demand for scheduled tribe status.

[00:01:25] Donald Trump's Middle East Envoy warned on Monday, during a visit to the region, it would not be a pretty day if the hostages held in Gaza were not released before the US president-elect's inauguration.

[00:01:35] Steve Witkow, who will formally take up the position when Trump's administration starts, said he hoped and prayed there would be a ceasefire in Gaza between Palestinian militant group Hamas and Israel before Trump takes office on January 20th.

[00:01:47] President-elect Trump said on social media last week there would be held to pray if the hostages were not released before his inauguration.

[00:01:55] The CPM Politburo voiced concern over the spate of lawsuits filed across the country, seeking survey of ancient mosques to verify the presence of temple ruins lying underneath.

[00:02:05] The left party said it was unfortunate the Supreme Court had not intervened to put a stop to such litigations.

[00:02:33] The Kerala Motor Vehicles Department issued a new directive allowing residents to register their vehicles with any regional transport office within the state, following recent High Court ruling.

[00:02:43] This flexibility also applies to individuals with a place of business in the state.

[00:02:47] Deputy Transport Commissioner Rajiv R issued the order dated December 5th, clarifying that anyone with a valid address in the state can choose any RTO for vehicle registration, regardless of jurisdiction.
