Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised US President Donald Trump's controversial plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza. He described it as a fresh and potentially transformative approach.

[00:00:33] In an interview, Netanyahu defended the proposal stating it offers Palestinians a chance to temporarily relocate while Gaza is rebuilt. Netanyahu emphasized that Israel would handle the task, not American troops. However, the plan has sparked fears of mass displacement evoking painful memories of the 1948 Nagba for many Palestinians.

[00:00:59] Bangladesh launched a major security operation dubbed Operation Devil Hunt. This is in response to violent attacks on protesters by gangs allegedly linked to the ousted regime of former PM Sheikh Hasina. The operation is led by Jahangir Alam Chaudhuri, head of the Interior Ministry in the interim government. This follows days of unrest, including the destruction of buildings connected to Hasina's family by protesters.

[00:01:26] Russia announced that its forces had seized the eastern Ukrainian village located near the key military hub of Chasaviyar, which Moscow was targeting. The Russian Defense Ministry stated that its south group of troops successfully liberated the settlement in the Donetsk region, situated about 10 kilometres north of Chasaviyar and along the route to the Ukrainian-held city of Slovyansk.

[00:01:52] 31 Naksalites and two police officials were killed in a fierce encounter in Chattisgarh's Bijapur district. The operation involved over 650 personnel from various security forces, including the district, reserve guard, special task force and bastar fighters. The officials targeted the Naksalites then in the Indravati National Park area. Two other police officers were injured in the operation. Additionally, a large cache of weapons and explosives was recovered from the site.

[00:02:22] Delhi Chief Minister Atishi submitted her resignation to Lieutenant Governor BK Saxena following AAP's crushing defeat in the Assembly elections. Despite retaining her Khalkhaji seat, Atishi resigned after the AAP secured only 22 seats out of 70, with the BJP winning 48. The LG's office confirmed that Saxena has asked Atishi to remain in office until the formation of a new government.
