[00:00:22] Nearly 24 workers were trapped when an under-construction building collapsed at the Kanoj railway station in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.

[00:00:31] So far, six workers have been rescued and taken to the hospital.

[00:00:35] The incident occurred when the roof's shuttering collapsed, according to District Magistrate Shubrand Kumar.

[00:00:41] He and other senior officials arrived at the site to oversee the rescue operation,

[00:00:46] with efforts focused on rescuing the trapped workers using all available resources.

[00:00:53] The BJP intensified its criticism of the AAP following a leaked comptroller and auditor general report on Delhi's controversial excise policy.

[00:01:04] The report, which has not been officially released, allegedly highlights significant lapses under the leadership of former CM Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisoria,

[00:01:15] including a loss of over 2,026 crore due to mismanagement.

[00:01:20] Meanwhile, AAP's Sanjay Singh questioned the report's authenticity, suggesting the BJP may have fabricated it.

[00:01:27] The controversy has escalated ahead of the February 5 Delhi Assembly elections.

[00:01:34] Three more bodies of workers trapped in a coal mine in Assam were recovered, bringing the total number of fatalities to four.

[00:01:42] The workers have been trapped in the mine since Monday, when a sudden flood inundated the quarry.

[00:01:48] One of the victims, identified as 27-year-old Ligin Magar from the local village of Kalamati, was found floating in the accumulated water.

[00:01:56] The identity of the other two recovered workers is still being determined.

[00:02:00] Chief Minister Himanta Biswasarma confirmed that the quarry, 340 feet deep, was being de-watered with specialised equipment from ONGC and Call India.

[00:02:13] Bangladesh officials will not attend the India Meteorological Department's 150th anniversary celebrations,

[00:02:20] citing government restrictions on non-essential foreign travel at public expense.

[00:02:25] Mominul Islam, acting director of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department,

[00:02:30] confirmed the invitation from IMD, but emphasised the country's policy against such travel,

[00:02:36] despite strong bilateral cooperation.

[00:02:41] Renowned singer P. Jai Tandran, fondly known as Bhavagayakin for his immortal singing,

[00:02:46] was laid to rest on Saturday after a public viewing at the National Higher Secondary School in Iranyalakuda.

[00:02:53] His mortal remains were then taken to his ancestral home in Paravur,

[00:02:57] before being cremated at the nearby Palium crematorium.

[00:03:00] Ministers M.B. Rajesh and R. Bindu, along with opposition leader V.D. Sadishin,

[00:03:06] paid their respects to the late singer.
