[00:01:36] to form the central government for the third consecutive term.

[00:01:39] As the Prime Minister, Modi will make history as the only leader after Pumbaa Prime Minister

[00:01:45] to be elected for a third consecutive term after completing the full tenure of each prior

[00:01:49] term.

[00:01:50] In addition to Modi, members of his Council of Ministers will also be sworn in.

[00:01:55] For the first time, Kerala has elected a BJP candidate to the Lok Sabha and the

[00:01:59] state may seat two ministers in the new cabinet.

[00:02:02] Suresh Gopi, who made history by winning the Trissur seat, is likely to be induced

[00:02:06] into the ministry.

[00:02:07] Joining him could be George Kurian, former Vice President of Minority Commission, who

[00:02:12] is also expected to be a part of Modi's third government.

[00:02:17] The situation in Manipur's Jidumam district remained tense but under control on Sunday

[00:02:21] after suspect militants torched two police outposts and at least 70 houses in a fresh

[00:02:26] bout of violence in the state, police said.

[00:02:28] Additional security forces have been deployed in the affected areas following the incident

[00:02:32] on Saturday, they said.

[00:02:34] The situation is tense but under control in the wake of violent disturbances that

[00:02:38] broke out in the Jidumam district in which miscreants torched two police pickets,

[00:02:42] a forest beat office and several houses belonging to both methi and cookie communities,

[00:02:46] the Manipur police said in a statement.

[00:02:50] Congress leader Rahul Gandhi hit out at Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi on

[00:02:54] Sunday over the neat UG medical entrance probe, saying the alleged irregularities in

[00:02:59] the examination have devastated more than 24 lakh students even before he takes oath

[00:03:03] for a new term in office.

[00:03:05] Gandhi assured students in the country that he will become their voice in parliament

[00:03:08] and strongly raise the issues related to their future.

[00:03:12] Amid allegations of inflation of marks in the neat UG medical entrance exam, the National

[00:03:16] Testing Agency announced on Saturday that the Education Ministry has set up a four-member

[00:03:20] panel to review the grace marks awarded to more than 1,500 candidates.

[00:03:26] Two ships caught on fire after being hit by projectiles of Yemen's Aden, two UK

[00:03:31] maritime agencies reported on Sunday.

[00:03:33] The British security firm Ambre said on Sunday an Antigua and Barbada Flags central

[00:03:38] cargo ship was struck by a missile 83 nautical miles southeast of Aden and

[00:03:42] caught fire.

[00:03:43] The fire was later contained.

[00:03:45] Earlier, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operation said it had received a report from

[00:03:49] a captain of a vessel of an incident 80 nautical miles southeast of Aden.

[00:03:54] The Houthi militia which controls most populous parts of Yemen and is aligned

[00:03:57] with Iran has attacked ships off its coast for months, saying it is acting in

[00:04:01] solidarity with Palestinians fighting Israel and Gaza.

[00:04:06] As several parts of Kerala continue to receive heavy rainfall due to the

[00:04:09] southwest monsoon, the India Meteorological Department on Sunday issued an orange

[00:04:13] alert in two districts of the state for the day.

[00:04:16] The IMD issued an orange alert in the northern districts of Karnur and Karsargod

[00:04:20] and yellow alert in 10 other districts of the state.

[00:04:23] The Kerala state disaster management authority, meanwhile said that

[00:04:26] thunderstorms with moderate rainfall and gusty winds were likely to occur at

[00:04:30] one or two places in Kuala Lump, Idiki, Kodikot and Karnur districts

[00:04:33] and light rainfall was likely to occur at one or two places in all other

[00:04:37] districts of Kerala.
